So this is the start of my first multi-chapter story, i hope you enjoy it!
"Yeah look Mum, I'm meeting Cam for a drink so i can't pop over tonight. I'll see you tomorrow though," Chloe informed her mother over the phone.
"Hold on you're going out for a drink with Cameron?" Ange's tone portraying her confusion at her daughter's drastic change in attitude towards her fellow registrar.
"It's just drinks mum. Anyway, he deserves another chance,"
"Well if you say so darling, see you tomorrow."
Ange hung up and sighed, throwing her head back. She knew that it'd be hard to tell her daughter what she knew about Cameron but that she'd have to do it soon, for Chloe's safety if nothing else. As she stood leaning against the wall on the almost silent ITU corridor, she pondered. Wondering if she could've stayed with Fletch, worked harder to keep him. It'd been nearly 5 months since they had split up and she felt alone. She'd never really been alone: she'd had her family, then she had Dom, then Chloe and apart from a few boyfriends over the years, it'd just been her and Chloe. Until she met Fletch. Ange had always thought that they belonged together and they both had such good relationships with each other's children, knowing that had brought her peace when she had fallen out with Chloe.
"Ange?" Cameron's whiny voice echoed around the ITU corridor where she was standing, bringing her out of her daze.
"Cameron," she spoke formally. "I hear that you and Chloe are off out for a drink tonight."
"Yep, we're meeting at Albie's. Why?"
"I haven't told her about you."
"What about me?" He stuttered
"The fact that you were sat in your car, when the rest of us were battling COVID patients on the ward. The fact that you, Cameron, are a coward!" She spat, walking towards the stairs.
Cameron ran after her, shouting to his boss, "I am not a coward. If anyone is, it's you!"
"I beg your pardon!" Ange yelled, her voice bouncing around the empty stairwell
"You were the one who fell out with your daughter because you didn't have the courage to tell her about her brother!"
Ange marched towards Cameron, her fists clenched, as if she was preparing for a fight, but he got there first, pushing her so hard that she fell down the first flight of stairs, screaming as she did. Cameron darted past her, running down the stairs to Keller.
