She was memorizing, tilting her head Santana Lopez continued watching through the studio's front window as the slender blonde woman danced to whatever music was playing in the dance studio, her partner, an equally slender Asian man lifted her with ease before gently placing her back down. Various younger people copied them.
"Back again?" a light husky laugh got the Latina's attention.
"I blame you." the brunette growled at the blonde that now stood by her side.
"What did I do?" bringing her hand to her chest Quinn Fabray gasped innocently.
The brunette scowled pointing at her accusingly. "You know exactly what you did Pequeña diosa."
"I wonder if she knows?" the blonde pretended not to hear the brunette. "I mean obviously you and I are different but not all of them know and some of the bloodlines are so diluted..."
"She's different."
Quinn smirked agreeing "That she is."
"She's stronger Quinn, not as diluted as he is." Santana pointed to the Asian man "But I think it's the same bloodline." One of Santana's favorite skills she'd picked up was phasing through walls, Quinn rolled her eyes following Santana into the studio right through the wall.
"I do kind of feel like a stalker when we do this." Quinn pipped up as they continued to watch the dancer now from inside the dance studio.
"Then go away." the brunette folded her arms leaning against the wall.
Clapping his hands the Asian man smiled at the teens in the room "That was great, practice tomorrow, and our show in two weeks."
"You guys will be awesome!" the blonde promised as the kids filed out of the room. Taking her hand the man easily spun her into his arms laughing, Santana growled when the blonde laughed as well.
"Seriously?" Quinn glanced at Santana, she'd never seen her react to anyone like she was.
"Go away." Santana growled.
"No, because watching you squirm is funny." the blonde chuckled. "Just go talk to her, I mean you keep talking all about her so talking to her should be easy."
"And say what exactly, I went clubbing with my sister and saw you at one of the clubs and thought you were hot? Or maybe, hey Cupid's sister caught me checking you out and won't stop teasing me?" she glared.
Quinn laughed. "One he prefers Eros, and two why am I only his sister?"
"Because one, he's an asshat and two you're being an ass and she is not all I talk about." Santana muttered, Quinn shook her head they both knew it was a lie, lately the dancer was all Santana could think about.
Shrugging the blonde smirked saying "You know for the daughter of a war god you're kind of a wimp."
"Take that back!" the brunette growled bouncing herself off the wall and in front of the blonde a saber appearing in her left hand, quick tempered like Ares she didn't like being teased.
"Then grow a set and ask her out." the blonde said un-phased by the other girl's outburst or appearance of the sword, she was used to it, it just made her grin even more at her sister.
"Bitch." she narrowed her eyes.
"Santana Diabla Lopez daughter of Lord Ares brought to her knees by a hot blonde." Laughing Quinn walked over to the front desk, the woman was working on the computer and didn't see her suddenly appearing out of no where with Santana "Hi." Quinn smiled at the young Asian woman behind the front desk.
Jumping a little the woman gave a nervous smile apologizing "Hello, I'm sorry I didn't hear you come in, my name is Tina how can I help you?"
Quinn offered her hand, Santana shook her head Quinn couldn't help herself, always working "Quinn Fabray, Match Maker." she smiled.
Santana smiled as well, sword no where to be seen, coming up to stand next to Quinn she spoke up "We were just passing by..." Quinn coughed something that sounded like 'bullshit' earning a glare before Santana continued "we were interested in classes."
"Our kids classes range in age..."
"Oh no, you misunderstand," the blonde smiled "the lessons would be for us."
"Um..." Tina looked confused.
"We're going to a wedding where there will be dancing," the blonde explained "my sister and I need to learn ballroom, well I just need to brush up but she's never danced."
"Whatever, weddings are lame, full of drunk men and women groping and I can dance, just not that lame wedding crap." the brunette gruffed.
"Hello?"
The brunette squeaked hearing the tall and slender blonde to the side of them, smirking at the Latina's obvious panic the smaller blonde introduced herself "Hi, I'm Quinn Fabray, this is my sister Santana Lopez." Quinn offered her hand, the taller blonde took it, Quinn nodded when the taller blonde said.
"Hi, I'm Brittany S. Pierce."
"Nice to meet you Brittany." Quinn released her hand glancing at Santana.
"I heard you mention ballroom?" Brittany clasped her hands in front of her.
"Yes, we have a wedding to attend in the next couple of months and were wondering if you offered classes in simple ballroom type dances." Quinn smiled.
"Well normally Mike and I teach our ballroom classes together, they're for children so you would both have to be paired up with Mike..."
"What about private lessons?" Quinn asked.
"I would need to talk to Mike about it...I'm sure he won't mind though." the receptionist nodded in agreement with Brittany.
"Won't mind what?" the slender Asian man joined them.
"These ladies would like private ballroom lessons," Brittany gestured to Quinn and Santana "If you're up to it, I have no problem."
"We were just talking about expanding into adult classes." Mike shrugged un-phased. "What skill levels?"
"I just need to brush up." Quinn smiled "My line of work I attend quite a few weddings, just not one these last couple of years, the curse of long engagements." Quinn chuckled "But Santana needs hard core lessons."
"I can dance, I just don't ballroom dance," Santana corrected muttering at Quinn "and who ballrooms at weddings, I'd like to see your ass salsa and samba."
"Those are both forms of ballroom." Brittany said trying not to laugh as Santana stuck her tongue out at Quinn, "There are many forms of ballroom dancing, Mike and I know them all, but we also teach other styles, including what one would expect when clubbing. We do like to go out clubbing." the duo hip bumped, Tina chuckled, they went to the club every couple of weeks. Santana nodded, the first time she'd seen the Asian man with Brittany she'd thought he was her boyfriend.
"So mine?" Mike pointed at Quinn, then Santana "Yours?" Brittany was the more experienced teacher.
Brittany looked at Santana "As long as you don't mind dancing with a woman," when Santana didn't say anything Brittany added "Mike can teach you both if it's a problem." not every woman was as open to dancing with women as she was.
"No." Santana squeaked, clearing her throat she shook her head "No, no problem." Quinn smirked catching Tina smirk too.
"When would you like to start?" Mike asked leaning against the desk.
"My schedule is pretty open as I do have the luxury of being picky with my clients." Quinn pulled out her card handing it to Tina, 'Match Maker'.
Santana handed her card to Brittany "Private security?" Santana smirked, she knew how it looked, she was possibly the smallest one in the room but looks were very deceiving. "Like bodyguards?"
"Something like that." Santana gave a nod. "Since I'm the boss I can adjust my schedule to fit your needs." Quinn's eyebrow arch, Santana never adjusted anything for anyone.
"If you can give us a few days then I'm sure we can work out a price and scheduling." Mike smiled.
"It was nice to meet you." Brittany smiled holding her hand out to Santana.
"Nice to meet you too Ms. Pierce." Santana smiled back taking Brittany's hand, Quinn smirked watching both their faces as she knew the 'spark' they both felt as they touched, it was the spark that was felt when soulmates touched.
"We'll we should go." Taking Santana by the shoulders Quinn slowly walked her to the door.
Linking her arm with Santana's Quinn laughed as they walked down the street "Well that was interesting."
Rolling her eyes Santana sighed "You saw it didn't you?"
Quinn's gift was the ability to see in her mind the soul mate of the person she held hands with, it was why she automatically shook her customers hands, it didn't work on herself or Santana "Oh Mike and Tina are totally soulmates, I figure a little nudge here and there and I'll have them dating by the time you learn to waltz."
Santana didn't want to ask but couldn't stop herself "What about Brittany?"
Quinn softly smiled "You."
"That shock was it wasn't it, that wasn't static, it didn't feel like static." Santana said, Quinn had embraced her goddess of love side she'd gotten from her mother, whereas Santana had not.
Quinn nodded, "Mortals tend to put it off as static, especially if they're already dating someone else."
Santana rubbed the back of her neck changing the subject "Let's just go before he bitches that we're late."
"We're not late," Quinn pointed to a towering well dressed dark haired man by a pretzel cart "just once I'd like to go to a nice place to eat when we meet."
Santana laughed "Oh please, he's a cheap bastard, I'll take you to dinner when we're through."
"Yes please." Quinn nodded.
"How are two of my favorite daughters?"
"Fine Daddy." Quinn smiled releasing Santana to hug their father.
"No hug for your father?" the dark haired man held his hand out to Santana, stepping next to Quinn she accepted the hug. Once he let them go he offered them the cheese covered pretzels he ordered for them, at least once a decade he offered them a place with him. "It would be fun, you could work with your brothers, they are doing decent jobs but peace keeps breaking out..."
"Sorry Daddy, I like finding peoples soulmates." Quinn shook her head.
"I'm happy where I'm at Ares." Santana shook her head, she never called him dad.
The war god nodded slightly disappointed then asked "Anyone special?"
"Nope." Quinn shook her head "Too busy working."
"You two need to work with me on this," he gruffed "your mothers are both blaming me for them not having grandchildren... from you." he corrected when he saw Quinn open her mouth. "If I can find love I know you can."
Santana laughed pulling off a piece of pretzel "If it was love you could have kept it in your pants." Santana shoved the pretzel piece into her mouth, she and Quinn we're only months apart in age with both of their mothers being goddesses of love. Santana however had a little more Ares in her attitude then Quinn.
"I loved who I was with, even if for a short time." Ares frowned at Santana.
"One night." Santana quipped.
"Well this has been fun." Quinn linked arms with Santana again, giving her a little tug "But we have to be going, busy day tomorrow. San's helping me on a job." Ares nodded impressed Santana didn't help anyone, not him, not her own mother but Quinn was different.
"Be careful, Zeus doesn't like meddling."
"Always careful Daddy and just fixing what was broken out of fear."
"If you need me call for me." fierce war god that he was he did love his daughters, even if they were nothing like him, leaning he kissed them both on the forehead.
"We will, we promise." Quinn smiled, Santana simply nodded, he knew they never needed him but it was nice that they promised.
