But in this universe, there are many kids that were friends with the girls. What if there are more than three girls? What if it shows many friends from respective universe as they all shared in this universe? Follow me and I will guide you to an alternate universe.

1,000 years ago, in a world called Amphibia, where all amphibians lived in harmony and peace as they come together in the kingdom of Newtopia, ruled by a wise King Aldrich, who's seek to travel many worlds. Cronaxx, a young salamander wizard who believe there are other worlds full of life just like Amphibia, so he began to research and studying ways of how to travel other worlds and then he discovered something, 5 powerful gemstones that would be able to travel worlds.

Cronaxx collected all 5 stones, but he needed some sort of device to active the stone's power to teleport. So, he asked one of the best inventors in Amphibia, Henry Roth Forge to build a device that's capable of harness the power of the stones and so they started working on it. It took a while, but they finally done it, their greatest invention the music box that can teleport to other worlds, the Calamity Box.

This is where our story begins when a young prince, Andrias Leviathan, an heir to the throne wraps up a picture with a cloth after receiving from the paint shop as he walk towards to his castle where he lives with his father. The whole city was an advanced metropolis that was governed by the ancestors who were once rulers. With all amphibians resides, there were some robots that looks resembles to frogs for those were serves to the king and assistance to the citizens.

Along the way back, Cronaxx was exiting the library after reading books until he sees the prince walking his way home when he smiles at his companion.

"Hello, Andrias." Cronaxx greeted the prince.

"Hey, Cro-cro." Prince Andrias greeted back. "How's the research coming along?"

"Going so well. It makes me feel a little better knowing my dream will come true." replied Cronaxx.

"My father and I really appreciate all you've done for us. I believe your family would be proud too."

"Yeah, I just wish my brother, Cyrus could be around to see this."

Cronaxx takes out a locket holding two photos. One is him and another is his brother, Cyrus. Andrias knelt down to the wizard.

"He would want you to fulfill your dream. No one could've predicted that industrial incident." said Prince Andrias.

"Still, I wish he was here."

The prince could see how upset Cronaxx is. Then he decided to cheer him up.

"Hey, what's that behind your frills?"

He pulls out a Newtopian copper coin from Cronaxx's frill, making him smile. He takes the coin and hugs Andrias.

"You always know how to make me feel better, my friend." Cronaxx smiles.

"Thanks." replied Prince Andrias after he release his embrace. "Come on, I wanted to show you and the others something special together."

"Does it have something to do on your back?"

"Yep."

And so, they made their way to the castle. Later on at the castle walls, they find two Newtopian guards that were toads with their warhammer, but one of them is one of their best friend. Then Cronaxx made his approach to greet his friend.

"Hello, Barrel."

"Hey, Cronaxx." Barrel greeted. "How's it going?"

"Just another day researching possible new worlds until we actually see them." replied Cronaxx.

"Boy, I can't wait to see this. I'm sure your brother would be very proud of you."

"Thanks, Barrel."

While they're talking, Andrias crawls onto the castle walls, approaching to Barrel until he jumps down from behind and grabs Barrel by holding him in a lock.

"Aha! I'm disappointed, Barrel. Shouldn't the Newtopian guard always be aware of his surroundings?" Prince Andrias teased.

"Shouldn't Amphibian royalty know never to put a toad in a headlock?" Barrel asked, then breaks free from Andrias and kicks him down. "Another victory for Barrel."

He scratches down when slides his nail on the walls for another tally wall. Cronaxx chuckled for that moment.

"Leif left a note for you. But it's blank, so I don't know why she even bothered." said Barrel when passes the note to Andrias.

"It's their way to communication. There's this thing called invisible ink." Cronaxx explained.

"Like you, perhaps. We came up with a way to leave secret messages for each other." said Prince Andrias.

"Heh, yeah right." Barrel chuckled "She only taught you that after she and Cronaxx split up. No offense."

"It's okay, I wanted to pursue my dreams first before getting serious with others."

Andrias took out his glasses to read the letter that has the Amphibian Alphabet.

"She's in the garden. Come on! Let's go!"

Andrias picked up his portrait and lead Cronaxx and Barrel inside the castle until they reach to an underground garden. Just then when they're in the castles hallway, they approach to Henry Roth Forge, an axolotl who was once one of Andrias' friends.

"Hey, Henry." Barrel greeted.

"Ah, hello my friends. What are you been up to?" said Henry.

"We were just heading to garden where we can meet up with Leif. Wanna come with?" Prince Andrias asked.

"I don't see why not. I mean, after all. I could've just done it without you guys."

"Thank you, Henry. I really appreciate for what you have accomplish, to fulfill my dream." said Cronaxx.

"Yes, indeed. So, shall we?"

The prince nodded as they all went downstairs to the garden. Once they have arrived, the kingdom's underground garden has so many plants like flowers and trees with water fountain running. Then they see a pink frog, Leif balancing on top of the huge flower.

"Hey, Leif! How's it going?" Prince Andrias asked, but Leif hush him.

"Shh. I have just perfected a dance that mesmerizes any creature that watches. Behold."

Leif gets into position to do a dance as the four of them watch. Then there were moss like creature known as Mossman, as they got attention to sway the rhythm. Even Barrel was mesmerized by the dance while Cronaxx bounced his heads with the rhythm and Henry was clapping his hands, but Andrias looks away when blushing.

And finally when the dance concludes, Leif and the Mossman did the pose with fountain spraying. Then Barrel shook his head off.

"Huh. What?"

Leif hops down from the flower to her friends.

"See? Even the strangest interdimensional animals love it." said Leif.

"That was weird. Anyone else just blackout?" Barrel asked.

"I'm impressed." said Cronaxx.

"Bravo!" Henry cheers.

"Brilliant classic, Leif." Prince Andrias gives her a thumbs up.

"Aw, thanks, 'Drias. Say, uh, what you got there?" Leif noticed and points something behind Andrias' back.

"Oh, I almost forgot. Your surprise!" Andrias reveals a portrait, leaving his friends awe. "Tada! An official portrait of us!"

"Oooh! Fascinated!" Henry impressed.

"It looks just like us!" said Barrel.

"It's even got me on my good side." Cronaxx smiles.

"Oh, that's a huge honor! What's the occasion?" Leif asked.

"Dad's appointed me to lead the next invasions. If you're okay with that Cronaxx?" said Prince Andrias.

"As long as we get to express our glory to countless worlds and not hurt anyone, I suppose it'll be okay." replied Cronaxx

"Hey, Cronaxx. If it wasn't for you or any of you guys, I never would've made it this far. Your dream and our conquest is going to be a reality. Thank you all so much. I mean it."

His friends were touched as they smile at the gesture.

"Aww. Thank you, 'Drias. Now what are we standing around for? We gotta celebrate!" Leif chimes.

"May I suggest running through the hallway, screaming at the top of our lungs?" Barrel suggested.

"I may be a bit old, but I see why not." Henry shrugged.

"You're on!" Cronaxx cheered.

"Sounds good to me. Let's go!" said Prince Andrias.

They left the garden as they ran through the hallway screaming. Just as Andrias gives them a chase, but then he came to halt when he approach his father, King Aldrich. He was tall pale blue newt with wrinkled skin and has a long beard. Most of the time, his eyes were closed. He's holding his huge battle ax like a staff. The king looked down at his son in front.

"Ah. There you are, son. Come with me. We have much to discuss."

Andrias' friends pops up behind Aldrich while waving their arms at the prince.

"We'll catch up with you later, 'Drias!" said Barrel.

Andrias looks back while his father walks off.

"Sorry, guys. Gotta do prince stuff!" Prince Andrias waves as he followed his father.

It was only just the four of them standing in the hallway after Andrias left to join with his father.

"Come on, guys. We can go to my chambers and discuss plans on what to do in other worlds." Cronaxx suggested.

"Sure." Leif agrees.

"I've got nothing to do." said Barrel.

"Good idea. I'm on my big break anyway." Henry added.

Later on, King Aldrich walk past some robots, but different color schemes like black armor and red eyes with guns on their right hands.

"Don't you think it's time to say goodbye to those childhood friends of yours, son?" King Aldrich asked.

"What? Why?" Prince Andrias asked while catching up.

"Because you're about to become king. It won't be long before those four start asking for favors. Using you." said King Aldrich.

"No. Cronaxx, Henry, Leif, and Barrel will never do that. Our friendship is true." Prince Andrias assured his father.

"Friendship doesn't last, son. Now, let me show you something that does."

As they approach to the large statue of Aldrich, he pulls the lever as the huge door open for giant newts to enter and took step downstairs to the darker place with lanterns glows blue like torches.

Once they have reach to the bottom of the castle, they have approached to the huge door with a mural that has eight eyes on eight newts and the only eye at the center, right in between two torches. When the king's crown shines a red dot while being scanned, it opens up the door automatically to the right.

King Aldrich enters along with his son as they walk downstairs to the chambers where everything has technology. Andrias was awed at first, but when his father turns around as the king prepares for the introduction.

"Behold... The Core."

Then a huge multi-eyed spherical robot with robotic tentacles lowers down behind the king. It has glowing orange eyes with lighter shaded pupils, and in terms of size, it was larger than King Aldrich. It has many wires that connect around the chambers. It crawls towards Andrias while his father explains.

"It contains the combined memories of our greatest minds including your Ancestors."

Once the Core stops, it moves closer to Andrias, giving him a huge stare down as the prince was a bit nervous and creeped out from its appearance.

"Uh, hello." Prince Andrias nervous.

His father walks over to the machine after he laid his ax against somewhere so that he can turns on the hologram to show it to Andrias.

"With the Core by your side, you will need no friends. Now, about your mission, we will be invading a medieval world called Earth." King Aldrich shows the projection of Earth. "You must exterminate the savages so that we can mine their planet for its resources."

Andrias turn his attention to his father when a bit shocked while the Core move its eyes on the prince.

"What? Wipe out a whole race? Doesn't that seem a little extreme?" Prince Andrias asked when concerned.

Then the projection is off before the king continues.

"Invading other world is expensive, and we need all the resources we can get for our way of life to continue. This kind of work needs to be done."

King Aldrich took something out that something like a key. Andrias was all surprised that his father is giving the key to him

"The key to the music box?" Prince Andrias surprised before his father hands the key to his hands. "But then I'm-"

"Officially in charge. Now, make me proud, son." said King Aldrich.

"Yes, of course, Father."

Andrias is much more happier that his father is putting him in charge of the invasion. He can't wait to show this to his friends. The Core was watching him closely, to ensure none of that will fail.

Meanwhile, Cronaxx and his friends has approached to his main chamber where he's been working on his dream, but the door has no handle or lock. The only way is to unlock is magic.

"Allow me." said Cronaxx.

He raises his hands and says the magic word.

"Caput Draconis."

With that instant, the cobblestones begins to moving in the shape of door. Then they entered to his main study where it has some books and prints. Most of it were drawings of stars, constellations, and possible planets. Barrel is looking at the drawings that looks like a wizard staff.

"Is that a magic stick?" Barrel asked.

"That's the Eternal Staff. It was created by the first wizard that ever walk to walk in Amphibia. It was said to have been lost in the wilderness and no other wizard has ever found it yet." Cronaxx explains.

"Interesting. never seen such magic staff like this." said Henry when rubbing his chin.

"Can't anyone find it?" Barrel asked.

"Not even the strongest of the warriors can find the staff. That'd be like no one else could wield the hammer." replied Cronaxx.

"Forget that. So, what's our next move?" Leif asked so eagerly.

"Here's what we could do."

Cronaxx takes the crystal and place it on a projectile device until it projects the first planet that he plans to visit.

"We go to Earth first and see what kind of natural resources they have the inhibitors thrive on." Cronaxx explains.

"Oohh." Leif, Barrel, and Henry amazed with unison before Cronaxx continues.

"In exchange, we show them what we can do as a civilization. Magical spells combined with everyday technology. Combined with their resources, our world could be twice as powerful."

"Isn't invading Earth what the king wants?" Barrel asked when concerned about this.

"Well, as long as we keep Earth thriving, I'd like to think of it as sharing our greatness to the other worlds." replied Cronaxx.

"I agree. I am very much looking forward to this world." Henry agrees.

"Me too. I can't wait to see what creatures they have living there." said Leif hoping about some creatures.

"And with Andrias by our side, nothing will stop us." Barrel showing his pride.

"Yeah!" The three cheers.

Then suddenly, Andrias enters the chamber with his exciting looks.

"Hey, guys! Want to see something cool?"

They turn their heads at their prince when curious.

"What is it, Andrias?" Henry asked curious.

Instead, he shows his friends the key to the music box in his hands as they were shocked.

"Isn't that the music box?" Cronaxx stunned.

"The one I crafted?" Henry added while adjusting his goggles.

"Indeed, my friends." replied Prince Andrias. "My father gave me this. It's only the matter of time before we start my mission."

They could not believe that the king give the key to Andrias for his first mission. They were totally surprised that he's officially in charged.

"Where do we start?" Henry asked.

Later that night, Andrias leads his friends to the secret room as they all snuck in where the box was being locked safe from intruders. As they arrived by the door, Andrias turns the key and six lights begins to glows when the door opens.

As they walk in where all the portraits are, but the center in this room that column holds the Calamity Box. It is ornamented with gold and six different gems that are blue, pink, green, red, orange, and yellow. It depicts a frog in the tropical woods praising the gems behind an engraved sun design. Right by the column that has the portal device meaning that it would be ready for the future.

"Ooh." Leif and Barrel were amazed.

"And this is where the magic happens. Literally." said Prince Andrias.

"I know. I made it happen." Cronaxx remarked.

"Wow. So it's already official?" Barrel asked.

"It's not announced yet, but yeah." Prince Andrias answered.

"Mind if I ask, when will it be ready?" Henry asked kindly.

"In two days, our mission begins here."

Andrias turns and sees Leif standing on top of a pedestal, carrying the music box in her hands.

"Then I bet you'd get in big trouble if anything happened to this, huh?" Leif teased.

Both Andrias and Henry were shocked that Leif took the box off from the column. Cronaxx look cautious, but remains calm to talk sense to Leif.

"Please, be careful Leif. That box is delicate. If anything happened to the stones-"

"Cronaxx is right, Leif. Put that box back." said Andrias calmly when took step closer.

However, Leif hops away and starts to toss over to Barrel when they decided to play a short game of keep away. Andrias, Cronaxx, and Henry wanted nothing happen to the music box. His father would be furious if the box was broken.

"Please, magic is not to be played with." Cronaxx cauitous.

"Okay, guys. Come on." Andrias tries to catch the box, but Leif passes the Calamity Box to Barrel. "It's important to us."

"Listen to your friend. It's extremally fragile." Henry agrees.

But they wouldn't listen as the laughs continues. Barrel tosses the box back to Leif, but when she touched six stones by pressing it, she drops her smile and projected something random in front of her.

The stones give off a flash of light as Leif starts to see strange images. First she sees Amphibia left in ruins with many pollutions, then it shows the music box that was opening, the the malicious mural, the castle flying up in the sky, and then images of the prophecy where all twelve figures defeating a villain. She sees an image Cyrus and an giant ax swinging at him. And finally, all amphibians running with fear as the red moon come crashing down to the planet.

As the flash image has ended, Leif drops the music box and fell to her knees as she heavily breathes. Andrias and his friends rush to her as they started to get worried about her.

"Leif! You okay?" Prince Andrias worries.

"What happened?" Barrel anxious.

"What's wrong?" Henry asked.

"Give her some air." Cronnax told them to ease off.

They respect his opinion as they give Leif some air until she looks up at them with her fearful look.

"I- I saw something." Leif whispered, but shaken.

"Leif, what did you see?" Cronaxx laid his hand on her.

Instead, she laid her hands on Andrias and looks at him. The prince could see her hurtful looks.

"Andrias, if you go through with this mission, if you continue to use the box, I think Amphibia is doomed."

"What?" Andrias stunned.

"How? It can't be possible. I ran through all the possibilities." Cronaxx looked concerned.

"It's true. I saw Cyrus too, and an ax. I think something really bad happened to him." Then Leif started to cry.

They couldn't believe what Leif was telling, then they give her some comfort to calm her down. Maybe tomorrow that the king must know about this.

The very next day, the court has gathered the royal councils to the throne room where King Aldrich was sitting on the huge throne while Prince Andrias was standing in front of Leif as the pink frog came up to tell them everything for what she has seen. Cronaxx, Barrel, and Henry were very concerned about the situations.

"I think the music box was giving me a warning. As a gardener, I know the dangers of messing with a fragile ecosystem. And I believe by interfering with other dimensions, we have upset the ecosystem of the multiverse."

Then Cronaxx stood by her side as the young wizard speaks.

"I believe she's telling the truth. As a wizard, I should know that even a single grain of sand can tip the scale. Upsetting the balance brings nothing, but chaos and destruction. Fire and brimstone spreading across life. Laughter and joy, replaced with screams of pain and agony." said Cronaxx.

"That's why I decided. We have to stop using the box." Leif finish that sentence.

"What?"

"Destruction?"

"But how will we invade?"

"What if they're telling the truth?"

This made Cronaxx upset, but so were the councils. Some were concerned and worries about the future while others disbelief. They waited for this time for a while now. Cronaxx was anxious to explore new worlds, but not getting anyone hurt if there's any lifeform.

"Hmmm..." King Aldrich, however took a moment, then the Core's eye appears on the crown and gave him the decision they wanted. Aldrich refused. "Nonsense! You sound like those cowardly Olms. You speak of fate and warnings, but the stones are our sacred birthright. They are unique to our world and PROOF that only we are destined to conquer."

"Your majesty, please. I should know more than any of us here and if what Leif says is true, we can't take that risk." Cronaxx conviced.

"SILENCE!" King Aldrich commands by slamming his ax down. "The expedition will continue as planned with the prince presiding. And as for you, wizard. If you know what's good for you, you can make sure that everything goes smoothly and not fall like your clumsy brother. This council is adjourned."

As the councils leaves with some worries or disapproved looks at Leif and Cronaxx until the throne room was empty, but the two of them walks away with their heads down with Barrel and Henry by their side to escort them. Cronaxx thought about something what the king has said about his brother and thought about Leif said about the ax.

"My brother is not clumsy. He finds success than failure." Cronaxx muttered.

As the prince stares at them leaving the throne room, then he turns at his father after got off from the throne and step closer to him.

"Thank you for hearing her out, Father." said Prince Andrias.

"No. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Now we know the gardener is a traitor." said King Aldrich coldly.

"Wait, what?! No, father. She's not a traitor. She's just...worried." Prince Andrias took step back a bit.

"Are you certain? You've had that key less than a day, and suddenly your friend wants to dictate how we use the most powerful object in the world. I warn you about this. It won't be long before I join the Core, son. Our people will be counting on YOU."

Andrias felt his heart shattered that his father convince him about what lies ahead. Not only when he nearly let his father down, but soon the king will be joining with the Core. Once King Aldrich walks away from the throne room Cronaxx, Leif, Barrel, and Henry peep out through the door and walk back in to see the prince.

"Well, that didn't go great." said Leif.

"Yeah, sorry." Prince Andrias apologize.

"But that's okay. You're in charge. You can just decide not to use the box."

"It's not that simple, Leif. Our society is built on these expeditions." Prince Andrias clenches his fist not to use the box.

"I know it won't be easy, but we have your back."

"That's right. We're your friends." said Cronaxx.

Barrel raises his thumb up. Henry nodded before Leif speaks.

"See? Together we can use your power for good-"

Look, Leif! Maybe you should focus on gardening and leave the ruling to me, OKAY?!" Prince Andrias snaps.

Leif took her step back when Andrias snapped at her.

"Andrias!" Cronaxx shouts. "Please, Leif is your friend."

"Ooh." Barrel wince.

"Ouch." Leif felt ashamed.

Henry shook his head when disapproved. Cronaxx was upset, seeing his friend shouts. He'd never seen Andrias lash out like that before. Now the prince sees Leif hurtful looks when he realized and he's now more upset. Thankfully, Cronaxx came to his senses and started to apologize.

"Sorry, that was harsh. I'm just under a lot of pressure right now, you know?"

"For sure. Now, I get it. Friends?" Leif offers the embrace.

"(sigh) Friends." Prince Andrias accepted.

The five amphibians hug it out as they all embraced, hoping to put it all behind them. Then they're all release from their embrace when the prince spoke.

"Anyway, I better get going. Don't want to keep my dad waiting." said Prince Andrias.

"Okay, good luck on your first mission." Leif wished him a good luck.

"Thanks. Well, see you all later." Andrias waved until he left the throne room.

"Well, better get back to my post. Catch ya' later." Barrel waved when he walks off to resume his post.

Now it's only just Leif, Cronaxx, and Henry alone in the throne room.

"Cronaxx, listen. I can't stand idly by while we let our home get destroyed." said Leif turning her face at him.

But suddenly, Cronaxx started to feel something, then getting horrible vibes in his head until it reached inside of his head where it shows his brother, Cyrus was working on his lab, but he can hear some voice where we see King Aldrich confront Cyrus.

"You can't do this! What if something goes wrong?!" Cyrus pleaded.

"This is our destiny! It is our birthright!" King Aldrich argues.

"Then I won't make another weapon for your cause! Not while I know that my weapons will hurt others!"

"Then I can't let live, traitor!"

"Your majesty! STOP!"

Then the king swing his ax until it all goes white. Cronaxx gasp and breathes heavily. Leif and Henry were a bit worried at the wizard.

"Cronaxx? Are you okay?" Leif asked softly.

The young wizard started to form his small tears. He slowly looks at Leif with her sad look. He could see everything for what just happened.

"Leif. It was my dream to explore new worlds." said Cronaxx quietly.

"I know, Cronaxx. I know." replied Leif when she comforts him as they hugged each other. "But sometimes, to do what's right, we have to be steady and give up the thing we want the most."

Henry felt remorse at his old friend. As an inventor, he may have built the music box, but what she's telling is true that it is far more dangerous like no other creature has made a weapon. Once they let release from their hug, Cronaxx shows the key to Leif. Henry was all stunned.

"Even in our dreams."

"Are you sure?" Leif was most surprised.

"I can't let anyone else get hurt. Not here, and not other worlds." said Cronaxx.

"Then what you have told me was true. We've started this..." Henry paused when he's staring at the them. "But it has to end here. We must get rid of the box."

"I agree. What other choice do we have?"

Meanwhile, the king and the prince are marching down with their servant robots and some newt advisors. Andrias wanted to make sure he does his royal duties properly.

"Any orders for the portal operation tomorrow, your highness?" asked One of the Newt Advisor.

"Don't ask me. Andrias is calling the shots tomorrow." King Aldrich turn his attention to his son. "Show them the key, son."

"Hmm? Oh, yes, of course." Andrias reach the key from his pocket, but his emotions were turned into fear than he realized. For in place of the key, he has a copper coin that he gave it to Cronaxx. "Ummmm... be right back."

Prince Andrias sped off to get the key back from his friends, leaving his father and his servants behind. King Aldrich knows something's wrong when he looked disappointment toward his son.

Back in the chamber where the box was, Leif and Cronaxx prepares to make their stand while Henry has his mind of his own. She turns the key to open the door and entered as they step closer to the music on the column.

"So, what do we do?" Leif asked.

"You take the box and use it to transport to a new world. I send Henry to make sure that no one creates a duplicate. Even it means destroying all of my life work." Cronaxx answered.

By then when Andrias arrived at the doorway, he's already too late.

"Huh? Leif? Cronaxx? What are you doing?!"

They turn their head at the prince as he went froze. Cronaxx firmly steps up o confront him.

"The time has come for us to draw our own lines, Andrias. Decide where we go from here." said Cronaxx sternly.

"If you won't stop this, we will." Leif hops up and took the box off from the column as the whole light shuts down and they prepares to make a run for it.

"DON'T!" Prince Andrias cried.

Cronaxx cast a lighting bolt on the floor to make blinds the prince as they made their escape from the chamber. They make a break for it when Andrias already recovered his eyes and starts to chase after them after passing two newts.

"Wait! No!"

Meanwhile, Barrel was whistling as the toad strolling in the hallway, but he stops whistling when Leif and Cronaxx runs past them.

"Huh?" But then, Andrias bumps into him. "Hey! What's the ruckus?!"

"Leif and Cronaxx have betrayed us!" Prince Andrias cried

"What? They would never do that!" Barrel disbelief.

"I saw it with my own eyes. Come on. We gotta find them before they does something crazy!"

He picks up Barrel and the two pursue Leif and Cronaxx. They run into Cyrus' old assembly line, with Andrias and Barrel in tow.

"They're heading for the armory. I'll cut them off!" Barrel notifies before enters a secret tunnel behind a picture frame.

Thanks for this shortcut, Barrel burst through the wall by his warhammer to block their path.

"Stop right there, you two! Don't make me do this." Barrel gets in his battle stance.

"Barrel. Please trust us. What we do, we do for all of us." Leif pleaded her friend.

"Leif, I-I don't know." Barrel was hesitated at the moment.

"You should know this. Aldrich did it." said Cronaxx.

"Did what?"

"In this very room, he killed my brother, Cyrus. That was no accident."

"No, he couldn't! He said it was an accident!"

"They were the only ones here and Aldrich comes back alone, and all dirty."

Barrel was more shocked. He couldn't believe what his friend is saying. Then his thoughts were interrupted by Andrias' shout.

"STOP!"

As of cue, Leif and Cronaxx hops over Barrel as they got away so quickly before the furious prince shows up.

"HEY! Get back here!" Barrel cried, but the prince shoved aside him.

Andrias uses his laser sword to attack them, but they dodged from the attack. Leif uses a robot blaster to shoot him, dodges the bullets with his sword and deflected one of the blast to Cronaxx's eye by accident, leaving him a big scar. Leif turns and shocked after dropping the blaster.

"CRONAXX!"

But the young wizard recovers and pushes the prince back with his wind magic and then disappears. Leif crawls through the air vent, leading her to the garden. Andrias got up and looked angry at Barrel.

"You had a chance to stop them! What happened?!' Prince Andrias shouted.

"They confused me! Cronaxx said something about your father killing Cyrus." Barrel stammered.

"LIES!" Andrias furiously picking up Barrel by his head. "Come on!"

Cronaxx meets up with Leif in the garden as the pink frog looked shocked at his appearance. She felt that she hurt him.

"Cronaxx, are you okay?" Leif asked sincerely.

"I'm okay. It's just a scratch." replied Cronaxx.

"But you're hurt. I'm so sorry."

"It wasn't your fault. You have nothing to apologize." She could see the scar on his left eye and looked damaged, but his left eye was covered. "This is where we part our ways. Take the box and never come back to Amphibia." said Cronaxx.

"Okay." She nodded.

Leif was about to part her ways, but stops and turns around to give him her last goodbye.

"And Cronaxx." She takes his hand with one final look. "You were the best friend I ever had."

She gives a young wizard a soft kiss on his cheek. He sadly smiles.

"You will always be. No matter how far apart we are." said Cronaxx before he snaps his finger to teleport himself.

Leif climbs up on one of the Mossmen that was a female. She woke up from her slumber and looked curious.

"Come on, girl. Let's get out of here."

Meanwhile in Cronaxx's chamber, he magically arrives just in time to see Henry has gathered the belongings to his friend in a travel bag, but the forge axolotl looked shocked that Cronaxx has a scar.

"What happened?" Henry asked.

"Just a scratch. Nothing to worry." replied Cronaxx. "Did you gathered everything?"

"Yes. All the plans I made for weapons were destroyed." Henry answered.

"Good."

Henry noticed that Leif is not with him.

"Where is Leif?"

He shifted into sadness when he answered.

"We parted our ways."

"I guess this is goodbye then." said Henry.

Cronaxx gently shake his hands with Henry with his sad looks.

"It's been an honor serving with you, my friend." said Cronaxx.

"The honor is mine." replied Henry. "Take care of yourself."

The wizard nodded. So, the inventor parted his way when he left the chamber, leaving the wizard alone. He knew what must be done. He takes his satchel that Henry packed and he only takes the drawings of the Eternal Staff with him.

"No one can know. Not even me. Not anymore." Cronaxx reach up to the sky and papers started to flying in circles. There's no turning back now. "Inflamore!"

Papers of his maps, constellations, blueprints of new boxes, all started to go up in flames. All his hard work, his dreams, started burning into crisp.

"I'm so sorry, Cyrus."

Suddenly, he heard a bang which it turns out that the robots were made by his brother when preparing to breach the front door to his chamber. He needs to act fast.

"Felite Incantato!"

He points his hands down and causes his chamber to explode. The castle shook, causing the inhabitants to panic. Henry knows that Cronaxx has escape. The robots from the door were left damaged by cobblestone blocking the passageway. Cronaxx was shown flying away, thanks to the blast. Then he pointed his finger at his own head, but at what cost is his own memory.

"Obliviate!"

A bright light comes from his finger and then diminishes after a few seconds, then he closes his eyes, and then he disappears from the city of Newtopia. Meanwhile, Andrias and Barrel hears the explosions.

"What was that?" Prince Andrias stunned.

They head over to investigate, but what they have find that the chamber was entirely destroyed with smoke and flames all over.

"This was Cronaxx's room." Barrel noticed.

Andrias looks out and sees that the city gate was destroyed as well. His former friends must have escaped thanks tot he effort.

"Leif... Cronaxx..."

All that's left was destroyed. He could only sit and watch two of his closest friends has escaped, preventing from the ecological disaster to Amphibia. A disaster that he ignores thanks to family's legacy on the line. Something has changed inside the prince. Something snapped. From fear into anger and hatred.

"NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"

A lightning boom as the prince let out his fury over the castle. Outside from the city, Leif is riding on the back of Mossman with the box she's carrying, but she's watching Cronaxx's room was destroyed and flew out across the sky. She rode all this way with her might. The only thing is to seek help is the olms.

"We must find the olms. They'll know what to do." Leif lets out a small tears, knowing that she'll never return. "I'm sorry, my friend. This thing can't stay in Amphibia."

All she could do is to take Cronaxx's advice and leave for a new world. Never to return. She knew what it needs to be done in order to protect her home and its people.

As the storm pass, the councils were gathered in the throne room where Andrias was standing in front of his father who looks very much displeased for the prince's friends actions. For the first time in his life, he has failed his father and his family's legacy.

"The worst has come to pass. The box has left this world. It is lost. And with it, our legacy." said King Aldrich coldly.

"I promise... I will do everything in my power to right this wrong." Prince Andrias begging to correct his error.

"There is nothing you can do, son. Our way of life is ruined." Then the Core's eye appears on the crown again and informs him that there was aprophecy. "I see... According to the old prophecy, the box will return, when and how is impossible to calculate. So we will wait, we will bury and preserve our glorious civilization until our birthright has returned to us. And only that, you could begin to redeem yourself."

All he could do is to correct his mistakes. Among the councils, they were very displeased with the prince for not invading new worlds. Barrel and Henry couldn't bear a look on what happens next.

Later on, Andrias furiously burst the door open to his room with Barrel and Henry behind. He was so furious that two of his closest friends has betrayed him.

"That slippery little frog and that wizard has ruined everything! Her and her kind will need to be in kept in line. Maybe that salamander is good as dead." Andrias turn his glare at Barrel who also failed him. "And as for you, you failed me as well. I'm having you reassigned. You will travel to the outskirts and defend villages. Now, get out of my sight!"

Barrel was shocked. Not only that he lost his trust, but was sent to exile to the outskirts. He started to swell up his tear with his hurtful looks.

"(sniffles) Your Highness..." Barrel bows and walks away as the poor toad left the room.

Henry just sit there and watch his friend sadly disembark from the prince's room. Andrias gives the forger an anger look.

"What are you looking at?"

Then the axolotl inventor gives him a scolded look.

"This has gone too far, Andrias! Pushing Barrel away?! This is unacceptable!" Henry chided.

"Barrel has failed me! Leif and Cronaxx has betrayed us!"

"Then you are no better than your own father! Is this what your mother would have really wanted?!"

The prince froze that he mentioned about his mother, but then looks angry even more.

"You dare to accuse me?!" Andrias threatens him.

"You can hate me all you want, but I want no part of your poisonous dream!"

As the greatest inventor left to exiled himself. All what's left was the prince stood staring at his former friend exiting his room. He turn his head at the portrait where he got for his friends as the prince steps closer. When all this reminded him how he used have friends, but now he have felt betrayed. Fueled by his rage for betrayal and then he growls to scrape off the portraits, scarring his life... forever.

Meanwhile in a outskirt place called Quarreler's Pass, it takes a day or two when Leif and the Mossman arrived. Good thing that she knows where the olms are, but it started to get foggy until she found what appears to be a cave. She hops down from the Mossman and enters the cave slowly, leaving the Mossman behind to be on the lookout.

As the pink frog travels through the cave until she has arrives at the front gate, but suddenly she felt a rumble when all of sudden, two giant olms emerge from the ground as they confront Leif when shocked. Two olms were like a guard that keeps intruder from going in or out.

"Who dares trespasses the gate to the Proteus?" One of the Olm Guard demands.

Leif was cautious, but brave enough to answer.

"Please. I need your help. You're the only ones that knows about the prophecy." Leif pleaded.

The olm guards were in quite surprised, having their second thoughts. They glanced at each other, thinking if it's a trick or not. But instead, they nodded.

"Very well. We shall take you to Mother Olm."

Leif nodded and proceed to enter the gate as the olm guards escorting her to the Mother Olm. It won't be long until Leif has arrived with olms passing through the entrance as the big door opens and close it behind them. She's started to think that coming here is the right thing to do in order to seek help.

"Mother Olm's chamber is at the end of this tunnel, but be careful. It's very slippery." said One of the Olm Guard to remind her.

Once they have arrived at Mother Olm's inner sanctum where it was all huge like a huge temple with many torches and has each stairs in different directions. Leif could see the gong that is the center. She set the box down and picks up the stick to bang the gong to get her attention.

Then suddenly, she felt a big rumble going until a huge olm emerge. Leif looks up and amazed that it was Mother Olm herself. She is a large purple olm with a dark blue leaf-like design on her face, and bright blue glowing eyes. There she looks down at Leif curious after set stick down and picks up the box.

"Who is it that summons me?" Mother Olm asked.

"Are you Mother Olm?" Leif asked.

"Yes, I am the keeper of the prophecy of the stones and the music box, upon which the fate of all world. What is it that you seek?"

"My name is Leif, and I need your help. I have seen the future about what's going to happen. The music box warns me that we might have interfering with other dimensions. If we use the box more often, then it will upset the ecosystem of the multiverse." Leif explain this to Mother Olm.

"So, you have foreseen the prophecy. Do you not?"

"Yes, ma'am. I saw everything with my own eyes. I tried to warn my friend, Andrias and his father, King Aldrich, but they wouldn't listen. So, Cronaxx and I stole the box after he believes me and then we split up to escape from Newtopia, never return. That's why I came here, because you are the only ones who knows how."

Mother Olm lowers her body down to move closer to Leif so that she could examine the music box, but gives her a small sad look.

"I'm sorry, my child. But the vision you saw is inevitable." said Mother Olm.

"What? But I took the Calamity Box!" Leif exclaimed.

"Yes, you did, but you only delay what is to come. But there is a solution."

"Yes, please tell me."

As of que, her blue frills started to glows purple including her eyes as Mother Olm reveals a mural of the prophecy's where it shows twelve gemstones of each colors on the wall, underneath was the entity eyes.

"Twelve stars burning bright. Come from beyond to expel the night. Should they fight or embrace the fall? Their choice will determine the fate of all."

"Twelve stars?" Leif repeatedly.

"Yes, many eons ago, there were originally to be three stones that falls out from the sky, but there are more than just three stones. All twelve stones were found and discovered by the explorers and delivered to the king's ancestors. The olms believe they serve a greater purpose, and should be left alone. While others believe their powers should be used for conquest. These conquerors, with their arrogance and greed, created an unnatural thing that does not sleep and will not die. The prophecy is our one shot at salvation, and we believe that all twelve were summoned to save us from what we've become, the worst version of ourselves."

Then she shows the mural of twelve figures in each colors. Four girls and eight boys with calamity powers as they fought against the giant frog with evil eyes that carries a flame. Leif remembers what she has seen from her vision, but what does it really mean?

"Unnatural thing?"

"That's right. They served with the entity that desires for conquest. If they all succeed, then I'm afraid that all is lost, but there is one hope. Behold."

Mother Olm shows another mural, but with many symbols on the cipher wheel with the symbol of Amphibia in the center with all twelve stones. Leif studies carefully where it shows a symbol of mouse with big ears, "P" and "F" letter, a hand that has six fingers, an art of lion, a yellow sun, a magical snowflake, rocket ship in front of the planet with wings, thunder bolt from an ancient art, an ocean spiral, the owl symbol, the letter "A" in a circle with arrow pointing, and a symbol of starbird.

"These symbols are from many worlds as allies and warriors. The prophecy states that the chosen ones will gathered their own army as they defend their worlds from all the forces of evil. With their help, our heroes will be their universe greatest saviors."

Leif was all surprised that all of this were true. Could she believe that the chosen ones can save her home from destruction?

"And there's only one way to keep our world safe. Send the box to Earth, and in a thousands of years..." Mother Olm's frills reverted back from purple to blue when she continues to speak. "Twelve champions will find it and put a stop to the king's greed."

"Earth? Is this what Cronaxx's been dreaming about exploring new world?" Leif asked.

"Yes, it is the only way. As long as the box does not fall to the wrong hands." Mother Olm answers.

"What happens if it does?"

"Hmm... Perhaps you should setup the secret code so no one dares to open and seek from what's inside."

"Okay, then I'll get rid of it." Leif attempts to open, but Mother Olm cuts off.

"Now, hold on. Let's open the portal somewhere safe. One of us might've been dragged by accident."

"Oh, then I'll open somewhere else then?" Leif asked when raising her eyebrows.

"Yes, that depends on it."

She looks at the box for moment until she smiles softly at her.

"Thank you, Mother Olm. For everything."

"You're welcome, my child." Mother Olm nodded.

When Leif turns around when she's about to leave, but the largest olm needs to tell her something.

"And Leif."

She turns around and sees her small sad look on the olm's face.

"I am so sorry about your friends." Mother Olm apologize. "Truly, I am."

Leif smiles sadly at her. The mother of all olm has shown respectful towards her.

"Yeah, me too."

And so, Leif has exit the chamber as Mother Olm watches the pink frog leaving her sanctum. She hopes that Leif is doing the right thing to fulfill the prophecy.

Few hours later, out in the open field. Leif and the Mossman has arrived to find the perfect spot since they have left Proteus. Once she hops off of Mossman's back, she looks at the box one last time. Trusting Cronaxx is the right thing to do.

First, she opens the portal that leads to Earth, then she looks at with final look before she setup the secret code so that no can use it to teleport, and then she's staring at the portal as it shines upon her. She breathes in and out before she speaks.

"I'm sorry, Drias. This is for your own good."

Leif raise her arm and toss the music box to the portal to another world until it closes it and then the box fell into the water as it drowns deep in the bottom of the ocean in the middle of the storm. Somehow, there's a huge shadow looming over the box that drowns slowly when something or someone has discovered like no other creature has seen this relic before.

Amphibia: Living In A Frog World

Well, that's the end of the prologue. Sorry to took so long, but at least I got it right. Now, before you ask, yes. I did use some details how the box was stolen as long as I gave credits to my friends. Believe me, I trusted them with my life. Hope you're not mad at me, but I wanted to expand the universe in Amphibia. Thank you for reading and I'll be publishing the next chapter tomorrow. Stay tuned!
