Chapter 1 Introduction

A.N. – So, this is my new story. The central idea is kinda like episode 24 Ghost Channel, but in a different way entirely. As you read this first chapter, hopefully all questions you have will be answered. If not PM me or leave a review and I will get back to you. Let's begin!

Short Summary – The Lyoko Warriors awake in their Lyoko Avatars in a mysterious world. They are separated from Jeremy and only have themselves to rely on. But they are not alone…Xana is watching them. Can they Lyoko Warriors find a way home or die trying?

Disclaimer – I do not own Code Lyoko. I am just a fan of the show.

The sun has risen and listen up the outside world on a beach near the river. On the sand was four young teenagers, all passed out. One was a pink angel, a ninja, a samurai with double edged swords, and a purple cat. They all started to slowly awake and looked around.

"Where are we?" Aelita asks as she grabs her head.

"More importantly, what are we doing here?" Ulrich asks.

"Jeremy, can you hear us?" Aelita asks but gets no response.

"I don't think we are on Lyoko" Yumi responds.

"But what is this crazy world?" Odd asks.

They all looked around and saw nothing but trees, hills, and flatland. Wherever they were, they were on their own with nothing but themselves to count on.

"We need to figure out where we are" Aelita tells them.

"What good is that gonna do us?" Ulrich asks.

"Because only then can we find our way home."

"What happens if we are on the other side of the world?"

"That is still a starting point."

"Bigger question, why are we dressed like on Lyoko?" Odd says.

"Maybe we are trapped on Lyoko, and we don't know it" Yumi suggests.

"If this is a simulation bubble, then it is massive, because this world doesn't look like it ends" Aelita adds.

From up on a hill, a mysterious figure looks down upon them. He has a figure of a human but has a large eye like symbol on his chest. He also has pale white eyes. This was the Lyoko Warriors archenemy…Xana. He turns around and teleports away. Aelita felt something and turned around quickly to see nothing on the same hilltop.

"Did you guys feel that?" Aelita asks.

"No, what?" Ulrich asks.

"I got the feeling we were being watched and then the feeling…disappeared. Like it was never there."

"Think Xana is here?" Yumi asks.

"If he is, then he knows we're here…and he'll try to keep us here."

The sun has risen up on Kadic Academy. Jeremy woke up and prepared for another day. Being with his friends, working on something new for the supercomputer or fighting Xana, and occasionally stop whatever Xana was doing. Once he was done getting ready, he went to go meet up with Aelita in her room. He knocked.

"Hey Aelita, are you ready?" Jeremy asks as he get no response. He opens the door to see she is not there. But the weirded thing is, it looks like she wasn't even in her room at all last night. "Maybe she is at breakfast with Odd and Ulrich."

Jeremy walked out of the dormitory and was soon met up with William. "Hey Jeremy, have you seen Yumi at all today? I went to meet her at the front gates, and she didn't show up" William asks.

"No, have you checked the lunchroom?"

"Yeah, she is not there, not even your friends." Jeremy was now concerned. "You think Xana is behind this?" William was now whispering.

"I'm not sure, but I'm going to look into it."

"How, you got classes?"

"After classes are finished, I'm going to head to the factory to see if Xana had anything to do with their mysterious disappearance."

The sun was going fast for the Lyoko Warriors, and they needed to find shelter before nightfall, especially if Xana was watching them. They started to walk towards the hill area to hopefully find something with enough room to house all four of them. They eventually came to a carve out of a mountain.

"Right there, that looks suitable" Aelita points to it.

"A cave princess?" Odd asks with a little disappointment.

"What, were you expecting some five-star resort?" Aelita asks rhetorically. "Until we have a means to build a new home, this will have to do."

"Relax Odd, this isn't forever" Yumi reassures him.

The Lyoko Warriors head out to the small cave opening. Aelita uses her energy fields to create torches to light up the area. It was small, but it will do for a while, while the Lyoko Warriors try to get answers about where they are. Ulrich uses his swords to get enough wood to make a door to cover the entrance.

"Well, besides the rock covered grounds, this is a nice little home" Odd says.

"As long as Xana doesn't find us" Yumi replies.

"Or we accidentally find him" Aelita adds.

Nightfall came and the outside was cloaked in darkness. The Lyoko Warriors were brave, but weren't dumb enough to go out there, knowing Xana could throw anything at them. They were all feeling tired and soon all of them laid down and feel asleep. Xana was still watching them and again, he teleported away. Aelita shot up, fully awake and went immediately to the door to see still nothing there.

"Where are you, you bastard?" Aelita whispered before going back to sleep. She needed to be full rested for tomorrow.

As soon as classes ended, Jeremy went over to the factory. As he entered the lab, he quickly did a scan of Lyoko. "No one," Jeremy says as he scans the network next. "No one in the digital sea or activity of anyone falling. What is going on here?" Jeremy then checked recent virtualization records and found they were virtualized. "Okay, so they were here. But where did they go?" Jeremy looked for the coordinates in the records and they were all deleted. "Great. Whoever did this went to great lengths to prevent me from finding them." Jeremy knew that he would have to anything to find out where his friends were.

The sun rose on another day in the mysterious world. The Lyoko Warriors couldn't remember if they ever slept as poorly as they did last night. Not only was the ground super rough, but each one had problems that was keeping them awake, even when they were sleeping. Yumi was concerned for their wellbeing. Ulrich was concerned for everyone's survival, knowing only what Xana could do. Odd was fearing if what Aelita said was the truth or just paranoia. Aelita had the feeling of being watched all night and couldn't get it out of her head.

"Did you guys all feel that last night?" Aelita asks.

"What? A terrible sleep experience, or the sense of dread and uneasiness?" Ulrich responds.

"The feeling of being watched."

"If Xana is watching us, what are his intentions?" Yumi asks. This is something Aelita did not have an answer for.

Jeremy was up all night in his room trying to find out where Xana virtualized them the other day. He found himself sleeping on his keyboard as the sun rose and shined in his room. Lucky for him, the weekday began and Delmas cancelled classes for Saturday. He looked up all calculations and they all came up with nothing, but all results were scattered.

"Looks like Xana covered his tracks well. I'll have to hack directly into the scanner memory bank to see if the coordinates are still stored in there" Jeremy says.

He gets up from his computer, takes his laptop and heads off to the factory. He starts up the supercomputer and tries to hack into the scanner. It was expected that he couldn't hack into it. He climbed the ladder down to the scanners and hooked his laptop up to it. He then hacked the scanner manually. He then transferred all recent virtualization coordinates to the supercomputer.

He ascended back to the lab and accessed the files on the supercomputer. The most recent virtualization was the one where his friends disappeared. "Okay Xana, let's see where you put them." He accesses the data, and the coordinates all show as an undisclosed location. "Where is this?" Jeremy was lost as his friends were somewhere in Lyoko, but in a place they haven't discovered yet.

Tonight, the Lyoko Warriors decided to stay up in order to gather any information that could be useful. They covered all areas surrounding their house. They didn't know what was to come or happen.

Yumi still had the concern for the group, which made her distracted. A being stepped up from behind her and grabbed her. Yumi elbowed it and spun around and grabbed her fans. It was shown that a zombie grabbed her. The eyes did show the sign of Xana.

"Not today!" Yumi threw her fans and the zombie disappeared after she defeated it.

Ulrich was trying to feel what Aelita was feeling. Since he was trying to do this, he didn't hear what crept up behind him. He heard what sounded like something was going to self-destruct. He quickly jumped away from it but didn't see what it was. "What was that thing?"

Odd was trying to weigh all options on what Aelita was suffering from. He suddenly heard what sounded like bones moving. He then heard the fire of an arrow. He dodged out of the way. "Laser arrow!" He shot an arrow and defeated the skeleton that was targeting him. "Skeletons. Classic villains. How original can you get Xana?"

Aelita was keeping her mind clear for when that feeling came up. She felt it coming from up above. She quickly activated her wings and went there to find nothing. Suddenly, something grabbed her from behind.

"Find what you're looking for?" The voice asked. The voice was deep and sounded a little demonic.

"Xana, I presume?" Aelita asks.

"Correct. I have been watching you for a time now Aelita. Just know, you're in MY world now and I will kill you and your friends. We will meet again, but next time I will be at my max strength. And I WILL…NOT…FAIL!" Xana let her go before teleporting away. Since Aelita didn't know what he looked like, she didn't know when he would come back.

Jeremy was at a complete loss to where this new area was. Even if he was going to rematerialize them, he would have to find a way for them to get a signal from where they are to the supercomputer so he could have a slight chance to bring them home.

"Okay, think Jeremy. They're on Lyoko. Xana kidnapped them. Which means they are not on the network. If they are somewhere on Lyoko, they're signals are probably masked. So, in order to find this new area, I'm going to have to try some new tracking programs. This will be a long night."

For both, the night was long. For Jeremy, this was going to be the longest tracking of his life. For the warriors, they fear the return of Xana and possibly then end of their lives.

A.N. – And this ends the introduction chapter. The next few might be boring as it mostly preparations before the first major Xana attack in this new world. I hope you liked this intro, and as we get farther into this, I will get to write some chapters I'm excited for. PM me with story ideas if you have any!
