A/N: Merry Christmas everyone! I've been working on this story for quite a while and I hope you all enjoy it! Stay safe and enjoy your day everyone! The story will be updated every two to two and a half weeks!
Note: I don't own Pokemon or the Pokemon Ranger series. Also, a good chunk of the next five or so chapters will have quite a bit of talking as Kellyn and Wendy get to know one another.

Ranger School: Chapter 1
Kellyn and Wendy are two of Almia's best Top Rangers, and they're close lovers too…but they weren't always that way. While now the two lovers are revered by almost everyone in Almia, at first, just like everyone else trying to become a Pokémon Ranger, they had to go to…Ranger School!
-Two years ago, Almia's esteemed Pokémon Ranger School-
Kellyn let out a sigh of relief from having successfully captured Pikachu on his School Styler without any damage to his equipment. The young man, like every other student, donned a Student Ranger uniform and a black bookbag, which complimented his six-foot-tall frame. Kellyn was initially worried being inside this small room, as this was where every student's entrance exam took place, and the young man didn't like tests…however, he realized he really didn't have to be so frightened. The tall twenty one year-old man grinned from his quick capturing work, and it wasn't long before Kellyn heard a boisterous laugh from a darkened corner of the room, shortly before the area lit up, revealing a male wearing blue slacks, a green top with the Ranger logo and a blue hat.
"Congratulations…it will be a cinch to take over the region of Almia with your quick handiwork." The male said as a female from behind Kellyn sighed.
"Seriously Mr. Caplan, can you not freak the Student Rangers out? You somehow managed to make three of them not want to take your class and they instead decided to go with the other teachers!" The woman said.
"Aw c'mon Mrs. April, that's only three Rangers in training, it's not that bad!" Mr. Caplan said.
"Those three you scared were from the early initiation process…" Mrs. April said.
"Eheheh…so they were…" Mr. Caplan said.
"Anyhow…apologies for not introducing myself, even though Mr. Caplan already did so. I'm Professor April, but you can just call me Mrs. April, what's your name?" Mrs. April asked.
"My name's Kellyn…nice to meet you!" Kellyn said.
"Same here! Now, to get you started, the Ranger School is a very rigorous place of higher learning. Many of the Student Rangers here hope to become Pokémon Rangers for the Almia region, since the headquarters is located here. Even though our educational standards may seem daunting, and while the school only has around six hundred students, I'm certain you'll like it here!" Mrs. April said.
"I think Kellyn definitely will! We've never had a student transferring two weeks into the semester…but I believe that you'll be able to keep up the pace!" Mr. Caplan said.
"That's right! Before we dawdle for too long though, let's get you to my classroom! I'll meet you there since class is about to start!" Mrs. April said as the two bid farewell to Mr. Caplan.
Mrs. April and Kellyn walked over to the massive four-story sprawling building, which was the main part of the Ranger School, while to the right was a three-story facility that housed the dorms. Kellyn observed the wind lightly blowing on the trees and flowers as students walked around the campus either by themselves, or in a group.
'The Ranger School…I've always wanted to be here…and now I can thanks to my mother's hard work. I can't wait to graduate soon enough and become a Pokémon Ranger to make her proud! I just hope this won't be like my other years of schooling…' Kellyn thought as they reached the entrance.
Mrs. April and Kellyn opened the double doors and observed the open floor plan with a staircase at the back leading to the other floors. Two classrooms in the front and twenty at the back adorned the entirety of the floor, which was due to the Ranger School not requiring much space dedicated solely to classes, but rather, other activities. Heading to the right-hand side, Mrs. April opened the door for Kellyn as he entered after her.
In the class were thirty students, with most of them being busy working on their assignments and paying no attention to Kellyn as he entered.
By the back of the class was a green-haired woman with eyes matching her hair…and since all the other seats were taken in the classroom, that meant Kellyn had to sit next to her. The young Student Ranger noticed the beautiful woman wore a long white skirt and a matching vest, with both articles of clothing being adorned with a bright stripe of red, complimenting her figure. Also in the back of the class and sitting on the left-hand corner, was Keith. The redhead was eyeing Kellyn closely, with an expression plastered on his face that resembled a snobbish loudmouth. Chuckling as he saw the new student, Keith, a young, nineteen year old student, slicked back his hair as Kellyn headed to the back of the classroom. As Kellyn sat down, surprisingly, the green-haired woman briefly glanced at him, causing him to flinch and become worried, hoping that she wouldn't end up bullying him like all of the other people he sat next to in school.
'Relax Kellyn…the Ranger School is one of the best vocational colleges in Almia…I'm sure bullying and other things happen here, but it won't be as bad for me as it was in high school or middle school…I hope.' Kellyn thought as the woman with green hair smiled at him.
'Hmm, this guy looks incredibly timid…nothing wrong with that though…I'm worried that someone might try picking on him. Maybe I should introduce myself…it wouldn't hurt!' The woman thought as she tapped Kellyn's arm.
"Morning, my name's Wendy, nice to meet you!" Wendy said as she stuck her hand out to Kellyn.
Kellyn looked at her for a split second and promptly shook Wendy's hand with a small smile on his face.
"Hello, uh, my name's Kellyn!" Kellyn said as Wendy smiled.
"Kellyn…that's a nice name, I like it. So, what brings you to Ranger School?" Wendy asked.
"Well…I always wanted to become a Pokémon Ranger…I just thought being able to help Pokémon and people was really cool." Kellyn said.
"That's pretty neat, most people want to be a Pokémon Ranger for the adrenaline rush! Glad to know you're the same as me, I'd love to help out those who need it! Say, is this your first semester here?" Wendy asked.
"Yes, it is, I really wanted to get into this school so I took the second exam that they were doing." Kellyn said.
"Wow that's great, I'm glad you managed to pass it! This is also my first semester, so we'll be seeing a lot of each other!" Wendy said as she gave Kellyn a smile.
'She seems friendly…I just hope she's not only pretending to be nice like how other people were to me…she does appear to be a genuine person though…' Kellyn thought as Mrs. April entered the classroom.
"Hello there everyone, nice to see you all here today. We're only two weeks into our class but I'd like to keep things nice and easy as we discuss Styler Functionality." Mrs. April said as she began to drone on.
Around halfway through the two-hour class was a quick break for the students as Mrs. April retrieved some additional materials from her binder. Turning towards the new student, Wendy observed him some more as attendance was being taken.
"Hi, uh…sorry to bother you again…but I just wanted to say it's great to have someone to talk with! I hope that you and I can be friends…if that's alright with you!" Wendy said as she stuck her hand out to Kellyn.
"Ah…sure, I'd like that!" Kellyn said as he shook her hand.
'Looks like I actually managed to make a friend.' Kellyn thought as he went on his Styler to check his outline for the class structure.
Given that this was the first class for him, Kellyn didn't completely know what to expect and though Styler Repair was something he was nervous of doing, he tried not to let it fluster him. Wendy, observing his hesitation, tapped him gently on the arm.
"Don't worry, last time I'll be bugging you…probably…but I wanted to say that since this is your first time in this class and all, it might be daunting, or even scary…so if you're ever a bit lost, I can help you along the way!" Wendy said as Kellyn smiled.
"You're not a bother, I appreciate that…I'll let you know if anything does come up, thanks!" Kellyn said as the two began taking apart their Stylers.
Since Kellyn was one for tinkering around with more meticulous and fragile electronics, a Styler was definitely no match for him. A few minutes later and the entire thing was completely disassembled as Mrs. April described the importance of each component for Kellyn's sake before the entirety of the class was instructed on removing the built-in communication receiver, as well as what they needed to do from a troubleshooting aspect. Despite not receiving any knowledge on the innards of a Styler beforehand, Kellyn was able to do it rather easily, something which Keith didn't appreciate.
'How can that moron even try to attempt such a Styler repair? I can barely even handle taking out half of these parts…if we were doing any classwork together, then I'd just look like a fool around him…' Keith thought as he continued his Styler repairs, while Wendy admired Kellyn.
As the class eventually began to finish up one by one on and the students began to reassemble their Stylers, Wendy couldn't help but notice the time Kellyn took with ensuring each part fit properly and was screwed in correctly.
"Wow, it's nice to see someone taking care of their Styler so well, most people just abuse them because of how they're waterproof and incredibly durable." Wendy said.
"Yeah, when I was younger I'd always fix up something laying around the house that didn't work at first. The stuff I'd repair was nowhere near as sturdy as this Styler, so this isn't so bad." Kellyn said as Wendy smiled.
'He's soft-spoken, but it's incredible just how skilled he is with his hands. The way he's fixing his Styler is seriously topnotch…even better than how I've done it!' Wendy thought as the entire class finished assembling their Stylers, with Kellyn being the first one to do so.
"Alright everyone, that concludes today's lesson on Styler Repair. If you guys have any questions then just send me an e-mail or a Voicemail using the Styler! Bye everyone, take care!" Mrs. April said as the class was dismissed and people started to leave.
Kellyn was already packing up his items, which only made Wendy hurry up with her organizing as well. The two stood up and Wendy moved a bit closer to Kellyn, tapping him on the shoulder as he turned to face her.
"Nice work with catching up to the rest of the class, that was pretty impressive stuff!" Wendy said.
"It was? Well…thank you!" Kellyn said as Wendy smiled.
"You're welcome…say, what's your next class? I can walk you there if you'd like!" Wendy said as Kellyn blushed slightly.
"I got to head to the west wing where I need to do a training class on Field Moves…let's see exactly where it is." Kellyn said as he looked at the schedule on his Styler.
"Wait a second…Field Moves? I got that course too! Looks like we got every class together aside from the last one!" Wendy said as the two exited the classroom.
'Field Moves huh? Hmph, big deal, I already did that class last semester…that new guy…what's his name…Kellyn…I can just tell from how he looks that he's a total loser. Who transfers to a school two weeks into the semester?' Keith thought as he headed to his next class.
Along the way to the west wing, Kellyn and Wendy were chatting as several students walked through the halls. The two were talking about their interests and getting to know each other better as a woman came running through the corridors, late to her class.
"Hey, you there! What are you doing?!" A man yelled as the student stopped in her tracks.
"Eep…s-sorry Mr. Kincaid…" The student meekly said.
"Hmph, that's Principal Kincaid to you…get to class and no running in the hallways!" Kincaid said as he adjusted his perfectly swirly and poofy blond hair before he walked away from the student.
"He's such a grade A jerk…ah, I figured that black hair looked familiar, it's my friend Luana! C'mon Kellyn, let's go catch up with her!" Wendy said as she called over Luana, who ceased her running from hearing Wendy.
"Hey Wendy, it's always nice to see you! Did you see how that snobby Kincaid treated me? He's unbelievable…" Luana said.
"Yeah I know… it's because Principal Lamont's out of the region and appointed Kincaid the principal for the meantime, so that means Kincaid gets a bigger ego than ever before. Why were you running though? We got another fifteen minutes for class!" Wendy said.
"Really? So I got yelled at for nothing?" Luana asked as Wendy giggled.
"You definitely did…sorry. Now that that's settled…Luana, meet my new friend, Kellyn! He's very shy, so please be nice!" Wendy said.
"I am totally nice! Hi there Kellyn, pleased to meet you!" Luana said as she stuck her hand out.
"Um…n-nice to meet you too Luana." Kellyn said as he hesitantly shook her hand.
"Wow, you really are shy! You became buddies with Wendy from the first class this morning huh?" Luana asked.
"Yes…she was very polite, so that really surprised me." Kellyn said as Luana giggled.
'Hmmm, surprised?' Wendy thought.
"Hah! See Wendy? Even a soft-spoken guy like Kellyn was surprised by how nice you were!" Luana joked as Wendy rolled her eyes.
"Whatever! Kellyn, how come me being nice seemed so surprising to you?" Wendy asked as Kellyn scratched the back of his neck.
"Well…it's mainly because getting kindness from others is such a foreign concept for me." Kellyn said.
"That's horrible…but…don't you worry, both of us are going to be nice to you! So from now on…chin up and try to smile, okay?" Wendy asked.
"Yeah! People should learn to be nice to others, we're all different! You got nothing to fear with either one of us tagging along with you!" Luana said as Kellyn smiled.
"T-thanks guys." Kellyn said as the three began to walk to their next class while Kellyn exchanged a few glances at Wendy.
'Looking at Wendy closer…she's very friendly…and beautiful too. She has a good height at around five nine while Luana's a bit shorter. The two of them really do give off good vibes.' Kellyn thought as they soon made it to their class, with the door being labelled as the room for Field Moves on the top.
Opening the door and heading inside, the three were greeted with a room that could accommodate around forty students, with desks being able to have three people each, while the professor's desk was in front. The class itself was nearly full already, and Wendy directed Kellyn over to a table by the front of the room.
"Here we go, this is where Luana and I sit as the professor and some of the class do demonstrations. Pick whichever seat you'd like!" Wendy said as Kellyn sheepishly smiled and sat down in the middle.
'Right in the middle huh? Good, at least I don't have to be worried about Luana potentially sitting next to him.' Wendy thought as she struggled to hide her blush.
