So I thought I would have to give up the idea of TMNT meeting a Mizzer Humanimal before they officially meet the Fellowship Crew in the Mutant Riots Quartet after so many tries and failures but I think I finally came across a winning formula looking at previous stories that didn't get very far before I ended up deleating them I remembered something I read in a book about how to write for comic books 'Remember you're writing a melodrama and a melodrama has to move to be effective' too often the characters spend too much time just hanging out like I'm projecting my own tendancy to be lethargic onto the characters, also I realized I tend to start from the perspective of the OC and keep their perspective, however I suddenly realized What if I started from the Turtle's perspective in this case Donatello and keep the OC somewhat a mystery at least initally also this story takes place in between seasons 2 and 3 of the 2003 Show...

It all started with Don wanting to create the equivilent of the Professor Honeycutt's Psionic Helmet hoping to unlock the true potential of the mind...Don had been working on it in secret for weeks, he didn't tell his brothers or Splinter what he was working on, but he didn't know why he felt a need to keep this such a secret, but ultimatly he had no one to blame but himself when Mikey barged into his room with a request to fix something the racket shook the delicatly circuitry to hard and the helmet immediately fizzled out before it even had a chance to start.

Don turned to Mikey glaring daggers and really chewed him out, freaking Mikey out because he obviously had no idea what Don was working on.

When Splinter came forth and asked Don why he was so angry...Don froze for someone he still felt he couldn't tell his family what he was working on so he just stormed out saying he needed sometime alone.

"Donatello!" Splinter called after him "It is summer! The sun still hasn't completely set!"

"Sorry Sensei." Don huffed as he grabbed his trenchcoat and fedora "I have to do this."

Don went to the junkyard to serch for junk he could transform he had no idea what was waiting for him...

Don thought he was well hidden among the piles of scrap metal...He was so busy thinking about his ruined psionic device he didn't notice a truck labeled 'Bio-Spawn' pulling up

A ragged mutant rabbit aimed his tranquilizer gun at the distracted Turtle and shot a dart into Don's neck!

Don pulled the dart out of his neck and upon seeing it immidiantly realizing what had happened, and already his vision was beginning to blur as he saw a horrific mutant rabbit and white rat coming toward him.

Don pulled out his bo staff but the tranquilizer was too strong he was already beginning to feel wobbly, as he was blacking out, he felt the furry hands of the two ragged mutants grabbing him before he was completely out of it.

When Don finally came to, his head was throbbing, he was lying on a cold hard floor, the first thing he did was rub his head, moving his hand to his neck he felt cold metal and that when he felt a chill go down his shell, there was a metal collar around his neck, feeling it more, he could feel the collar was bolted into his neck from the back...Don felt himself begin to sweat realizing just what deep...Droppings he was in...

"Oh shell...Oh shell..." He said he knew he couldn't remove this collar without surgical assistance...

He then heard some mocking laughter.

"Well well..." Came a gruff voice "Looks like Feral finally did it!" He finally got one of those legendary Turtles we kept hearing about!"

Don's vision was begininning to clear up he looked toward the sound of the voice and did a double take, across from his cage was a another cage with what appeared to be an Anthropomorphic Pig! With a collar bolted to his neck same as himself.

"Are...Are you a Mutant?" Don asked not sure if he could believe his eyes.

The Pig burst into snorting laughter and a cacaopany of other racauous laughter and Don saw that this place was full with Mutant Animals of various kinds!

"Look what we have here!" The Pig sneered mockingly "Look's like what we have here is a real pampered pet! Probobly never even seen another Mutant before!"

Don wasn't sure what to make of this Leatherhead was the first time he had ever seen a Mutant who wasn't a member of his family...He always thought his family were unique in the world...How could this be? Were Mutants actually more common?"

"W-Where...Am I?" Don asked fearing he had been transported to his own personal nightmare world.

"You're in the Lab of Victor Oban Feral." Said the Pig

"The famous philantropist?!" Don was sweating buckets thinking one of his personal science idols was a secret mutant vivisector...

The Pig spat "Yeah he likes the world to think him a Saint...He obessesed with Mutants...Any Mutant he didn't create himself he must add to his collection! He's been obsessed with adding you Turtles to his collection for months! He hates any animal that seeks to be independent! To him all animals are nothining but tools for the 'science and advancement of mankind'

Don's legs gave out on him and he fell flat on his rear with his legs right in front of him like a small child.

"Oh shell!" Don said "I'm really in for it now!"

"Hey..." Came a soft femminine voice from from a cage next to his "...I know how you feel."

Don turned his head and the face made him jump a bit, as the face was really freaky unlike the voice.

The face seemed to be that of a white wolf but the fangs were insanely long and sticking out of the mouth like a sabretooth cat, and seeing her hands were claws were also insanely long, on her head was a spikey mane of white fur like those punk rock hairstyle that were so vogue in the 80s. But seeing her eyes he saw her eyes were friendly and welcoming unlike the Pig.

He crept over to to get closer to the strange Wolf Girl

"Who are you?" He asked

"My name is Arctica." the Wolf Girlf said softly

The Pig snorted "Oh don't listen to her! That freaky wolf is clearly insane! Ever since she came here she claimed she was from another planet in another dimension! A planet where Humans and Mutant Animals live in 'perfect harmony'

And the caged mutants began laughing mockingly again, but having traveled to other planets including one with Anthro Triceratops, and having attended the Battle Nexus meeting many different creatures including people from a world of Anthro Animals instead of humans...Don narrowed his eyes said

"Well...What if she's right?"

So I think the severeity of the situation is probobly pushing Don to be less skeptical toward the one who's being nice to him this story is partly inspired by the calssic story of Princess Kaguya this isn't mentioned in most modern retellings but the reason Kaguya was sent to Earth was because she was being punished for some crime she commited the cultural context for the story was in Anchient Japan the punishment for Nobles was exile so the Moon was like the Capital and Earth is like some backwater villiage and this one of the many reasons Death of the Author is a really stupid idea
