It seemed like a Normal Day at Kazehaya High-School. Naoto quietly made his way to the crowded School Cafeteria. He was feeling hungry, as he hadn't eaten breakfast that day.
As he arrived at the Counter, he quickly bought a Bento-Lunch, before leaving to sit at the Tables. Unluckily for him though, almost every single table was already occupied. "I guess I'll just eat in the Art-Club." He said to himself, getting ready to leave.
All of a sudden, he was called over by a voice he recognized. "Senpai! Over here!" Nagatoro waved at him, before gesturing him to sit down at her table. Next to her was Yoshi and Gamo, who simply stared at Naoto.
Naoto had forgotten to wear his contact lenses today, so he once again settled for wearing glasses, which he instinctively adjusted before sitting down. "Excuse me."
"Senpai, you looked kind of lonely, so I'll be nice and let you eat with me." Nagatoro smiled, smacking his head repeatedly in a playful manner.
"Shut up!" Naoto responded. Although he still wasn't immune to her teasing, he had picked up enough courage to talk back to her from time to time, even if both were being playful.
Naoto slowly ate his meal along with the others, exchanging a few words from time to time. Gamo was being her typical self, somehow able to both tease Naoto and provoke Nagatoro at the same time, while Yoshi simply regurgitated her words from time to time.
While eating, Naoto quickly noticed someone in the distance. It seemed to be a Student. He was sitting on a table with some other people, wobbling around slightly, almost as if he were about to tumble over.
Despite them being far away, he could tell that the boy wasn't feeling well. His seatmates had decided to help him up, saying something along the lines of taking him to the infirmary.
As they were walking him out of the room, they passed by Naoto, who had the chance to hear a small bit of what they were talking about. From what he could hear, the boy was talking about how he had been attacked by a weird-looking homeless dude. Thats all that he was able to hear. Nevertheless, Naoto decided not to ponder on it, simply continuing to eat his food as the group left to the infirmary.
"Dude, what's going on with that guy?" Gamo asked. Apparently, she had also been looking at the sick boy. Both Naoto and Nagatoro shrugged. "Maybe he ate something spoiled?" Nagatoro commented while taking a bite of her chicken.
The atmosphere had calmed down a bit, with Naoto having finally finished his Meal. "Thank you for the food." He whispered, before closing the empty bento box. "Well, I'll be going, then." Naoto said, picking up his backpack and getting ready to leave.
Nagatoro frowned, pulling his shirt. "Don't be like that, Senpai. Stay with us a little longer. You're probably just going to do Loner stuff in the Art Club." She joked.
Naoto was about to respond to her claim, but was interrupted by screaming coming from the hall, causing him to jump from his seat. "What the hell was that?!" Nagatoro quickly stood up from her seat, to which Gamo and Yoshi followed.
They didn't even have time to inspect anything before a group of students came running into the cafeteria. They seemed to be in a state of panic. Amongst the boys, Naoto saw the small group of boys from before, although two of them, one being the boy who was sick, were nowhere to be found.
The group watched on as the Cafeteria sank into chaos, with the students running around the cafeteria in a frenzy. Before Naoto could even wonder why they were Panicking, one of the boys who accompanied the sick student slumped his way into the cafeteria.
Naoto couldn't hold in his fear, starting to shake. Not even Nagatoro or the others could hold it in, quivering at the sight they had before them.
The boy was stumbling along the hall, holding his neck. From what little they could see, he clearly had an injury. The boy tried to speak with a raspy voice, extending his hand to a student in front of him.
"Help...m-"
Before he could finish, the sick student from before suddenly popped out of the hallways, tackling the injured kid to the ground. The student seemed to be injured as well. He had bloodshot eyes, as well as blood coming out of his mouth. The qlique of girls along with Naoto couldn't do anything but watch as the student hinged his jaw open, before sinking his teeth into the neck of the kid on the floor, biting into him as he groaned in pain, struggling to get him off.
The chaos in the cafeteria only seemed to get worse as some of the students simply ran away, while others did their best to force the students away from eachother. As they finally pulled the boy away, the injured kid was already bleeding heavily, practically spitting out blood from his mouth and injuries.
During this, the other student violently shook around in the grip of the other students, before finally freeing himself and jumping at another kid, attempting to bite him.
As they wrestled eachother, the injured student began convulsing for a few seconds, before getting up in a panic, before starting to attack the other students as well.
At this point, Naoto and the others had seen enough, and were attempting to make their way out of the cafeteria. The Situation kept getting worse, with the seemingly Rabbid students biting and jumping at the first person they saw.
Naoto didn't fail to notice that everyone who was lethaly injured seemed to stand back up after a few seconds, before standing back up and attacking the others. Meanwhile, the ones who were simply scratched or bitten didn't seem to show any effects, at least not yet.
Naoto and the group were aiming for the exit which lead to the staircase. It was the closest, but the staircase only went up, which meant they couldn't leave the school trough that route. Still, it was the most accessible one they had.
As they all ran for it, one of the Infected students made eye contact with Naoto amongst the chaos, quickly starting to run towards him. Naoto panicked, tripping and stumbling on the floor. He tried to back away from the student, but he was getting closer with every second.
Right as the Infected could reach Naoto, Gamo picked up a chair and put herself infront of the boy, holding back the Infected using the chair with all her strength. Naoto quickly stood back up.
"Push him!" Naoto yelled at Gamo, who obliged by pushing the boy back with the chair, causing him to fall to the ground as Gamo dropped the chair and caught up with the others as they left the cafeteria.
As they made made their way out, Naoto looked back to see what was happening. The entirety of the Lunch-Room was a mess, with tables and chairs thrown everywhere on the floor. Students and kitchen staff were all attempting to make their way out of the room in the middle of all of this. The lack of someone managing the kitchen along with Students tossing and tackling everyone to the floor caused many parts of the kitchen to start catching fire, which set off the water alarm trough the entire floor.
Everyone was making their way out, trying not to slip on the wet floor. Nagatoro was in front of everyone, with Naoto in the back, keeping watch that there wasn't an infected following them.

As the group left the Cafeteria, they headed for the stairs. Infected students were rushing out of the cafeteria as well, slipping on the floor and trampling over eachother while attacking the running students.
As they finally made it up, they sighed in relief. It seemed like, at least for now, the chaos had only spread to the second floor of the building where the cafeteria was located. The third floor, which was where Naoto's Art Club was located, seemed to be free of any infected, as they were still roaming around the second floor.
They didn't have many options. They could either huddle up in a room or try to make it out. "W-we need to h-hide somewhere." Nagatoro stuttered, still in schock from what was going on. Naoto nodded. "We can hide in the Art, Club. It's divided in two rooms and has a lock, so it'd be best." Naoto stumbled a bit with his words. Despite still being scared out of his mind, he knew he had no time to cower. Whatever those things were would eventually make it to the third floor, and he knew he had to act quickly
Gamo and Yoshi silently agreed with a Nod as they all made their way to the Art Club. They didn't have a long way to go, as they just had to make it to the end of the Hallway and turn a corner.
As they were about to turn the corner, they had noticed that two infected had made their way to the third floor, and were in the way to the Art Room.
Naoto frantically looked around for something to distract the Students with, when he suddenly saw a fire extinguisher on the wall. He quickly dislodged it from the wall, lifting it up. It was quite heavy, so he struggled to hold it for much longer.
Nagatoro, seeing that he was struggling, snatched the extinguisher away, before taking the lead. By now, the Infected had already noticed them, running towards Nagatoro at full speed.
She had originally planned to simply spray them with the extinguisher to blind them in order not to injure her former students, but instead panicked and swung the extinguisher at one of them, knocking it to the ground with a heavy thud. She quickly repeated it again with the other one, taking them both out as they hurredly ran towards the Art-Room.
As they finally arrived, Naoto attempted to slide the door open, but couldn't. Someone had apparently either locked it or was holding it shut from the other side. Naoto used all his strenght to open the door, with Nagatoro and Gamo joining in.
With their combined strenght, they were finally able to force the door open, nearly tripping from surprise when it slid. But when Naoto was about to enter the Room, he saw a familiar face in front of him.
"H-Hachioji-Sensei?" Hana Sunomiya, his Youngest Kouhai and friend was in front of the door, apparently being the one who was struggling to hold it shut. A few tears were running down her eyes. She was holding one of the small-scale sculptures that were all around the room. The sculpture had a red tint to it, but it wasn't paint. It was blood. And it didn't take Naoto long to see who's blood it was. Next to the window laid a seemingly dead infected with a wound on its head. Naoto didn't recognize the student, simply entering the room.
After a minute of them catching their breath, Nagatoro finally spoke up. "What the hell is happening?! What are those things?!" She yelled, seemingly not at anyone in the room, but more at herself out of confusion and stress.
No one seemed to be able to give an answer to her question, as they were in the same boat. They were confused, scared and didn't know what to do next.
None of them knew that outside the school, the same thing was happening, with massive numbers of infected roaming the city and attacking everyone. Unknown to them, the Infection had begun to spread.
