Gracie Rose Specter walked into the condo after a day being in school, once she got into the door it was nice and quiet as her mom and dad was still at work, she was the only daughter of the best closer in New York City Harvey Specter and his fiancee Donna Paulson, yes they weren't married yet to be exact! It was her routine to text her parents to tell them that she was safe at home after walked into the door and make herself a drink and have a snack that Donna left her that morning before Harvey and Donna left for work. Gracie had beautiful red glowing hair just like her mother, and blue eyes, but her smile was just her fathers. But the wrinkles was like Donna's so you can tell she was a mix of Harvey and Donna perfectly form day one. Her favourite colour is purple and pink and Gracie loves to hag out with her friends on the weekend, when she doesn't have any homework assignments when Harvey or Donna don't harass her to do it because sometimes she can be extremely sneaky. Gracie was only 8 years old and Ray had dropped her off outside the penthouse building as always and she loved been driven around with her parents and sometimes she got dropped off to the firm but today wasn't one of those days as it was becoming the weekend. She had quite the personality, she extremely bubbly, very outgoing and loved to do activities.

She was best friends with Mike and Rachel's twins Roman and Tiegan who was the same age as Gracie, she was so close with them that from day one from being born they were like brother and sisters from another mother and father. Harvey was still being a father figure to Mike since he came to firm from day one. Because they didn't want the friendship to end and they have become the bestest friends that anyone can ask for and Mike appreciated it, and Donna was like the mother figure that Mike never had and he also appreciated it. The kids played on the weekends all the time even though they go to the same school and it pleased the parents that they still had other friends in the class other than Mike and Rachel's kids.

"Hmmmm... can't a girl eat a piece a fruit in piece around here?" As the doorbell went as Gracie went to open the Condo door and saw there was a familiar face at the door. She couldn't believe that he flew into town without her and her dad knowing, how did he get on a flight from Boston without her grandmother knowing.

"Hi Gracie, are you glad to see me?" Gordon showed up with a gift for his granddaughter.

"Grandpa!" Gracie squealed in surprise as she jumped into her grandfather's arms, She let her grandpa in as he shut the door behind them and welcomed him into the condo.

"It's good to see you kiddo, where's your mom and dad?" Gordon looked around the massive condo and sat down on the barstool.

"They're still working they won't be too long I hope, Ray should be dropping them off around six or seven depending how busy they are where's grandma? Didn't she not come with you?" Gracie asked as she took a seat next to her grandfather.

Gordon sighed he knew he had to tell his granddaughter that he and Lily were divorcing, there had been complications within the marriage and Harvey hadn't had the best of relationships with his mother only he had tried to make it work for Gracie and his dad. But now that the news is his parents is divorcing there would be no way he could have a relationship with his mom now. His mom had an affair when Harvey was younger so he won't forgive her now! But he knows that Gracie doesn't want to be in the mess of their mother and son fight.

"Well did you hear about dad's news?" Gracie asked Gordon as they shared a snack that she was finishing up before the doorbell rang.

"No I didn't hear anything, unless I have watched the news recently and I have might of missed something." Gordon chuckled a little bit and sighed.

"I didn't know you watched the news?" Gracie questioned.

"What's going on grandpa? What's going on here?" Gracie asked her grandfather the question as she looked at him worriedly because she didn't really know why he was really here and he just flew in from Boston not knowing what he was doing in her parent's condo.

"Gracie, I am in a lot of trouble with your grandma, but I have to sort it out with your father." Gordon told his granddaughter, she just looked at him in shock and didn't know what to say to him. She didn't know what kind of trouble her grandpa was in it was for her dad to sort out with her grandpa for when he comes home from work with her mom.

"Oh...okay well I am going to watch some TV in the meantime, you can help yourself to anything in the fridge I have homework to be getting on with, for tomorrow it's due in tomorrow otherwise we'll get detention." Gracie looked at her grandfather and didn't know what else to say to him as she picked up her school books from the kitchen counter.

Once Gracie went into her bedroom to do her homework, she was a bit weary about her grandfather coming into town, she was more clever than you think. Something was going on within the family, her grandparents was probably getting a divorce that is why her grandma Lily wasn't with her grandpa. Why wouldn't she be with him then? They were inseparble. When Harvey was a child Lily had an affair and went with Bob and was back and forth with Gordon ever since, Harvey's relationship with his mom wasn't all that, but for the sake of Gracie he wanted his mom to be in his daughter's life.

It was the most complicated mother and son relationship that Donna had been involved in, she wanted Lily to be in Gracie's life as she was so tiny and innocent and Gordon hadn't agreed more, Donna didn't want Gracie to call Bob grandpa or grandad only Bob as Gordon was still around, and Harvey agreed and loved Donna completely and it made complete sense as Gordon was the biological grandfather after all. But Bob could still be in Gracie's life just not as much as Gordon.

Once the front door was open Harvey and Donna came home from the firm once Ray had dropped them home from the firm, once they got into the door Harvey stopped in his tracks to his father in his apartment. Donna was behind him once she put down her phone and purse on the kitchen counter. She told them that was going to leave them in peace and that she was going to see if Gracie was okay and Harvey all could do was nod.

"Harvey, I had to come and see you I am in trouble here." Gordon got up from the plush couch and went over to his son.

"Who let you in? Was Gracie here did she let you in?" Harvey asked his dad.

"Gracie was here, I can't believe how much she's grown up." Gordon chuckled a bit.

"Dad she's seven going on eight what do you expect? Me and Donna do teach her things it's our job as parents." Harvey told him as he went into the kitchen to make coffee for the both of them.

"I know, I know son and I am proud of you. You've done a great job with her." Harvey looked at his dad with a wired look on his face.

"What do you want dad? Why are you really here not to be rude I do want you here but why are you questioning my parenting skills all of a sudden, after eight years?" As Harvey took off his jacket, tie and vest and undone his two buttons.

"Me and your mom are getting a divorce, it's not working for us anymore and I'm moving to Seattle where I know I can get a better life for myself." Gordon piped up and Harvey just looked at him in shock.

"No, no you can't do that dad please don't let that Bob dude let you throw you out of the house! It's your home you pay for it!" Harvey started to ramble on.

"Son, son listen to me, I know you hate that guy and what he did to me and you're mom but listen to me... it's for the best son... you, Donna and Gracie are my no one priority for visits I promise you as well as Marcus and Katie and the kids." Gordon was trying to calm his down.

"You think that bastard is going to get away with it?!" Harvey was starting to get angry.

"Harvey getting angry isn't the answer okay? You're just going to be making it a lot worse for us! Gracie is going to suspect something, you said it yourself she's clever." Gordon pushed his son back to calm Harvey down.

"What's going on between you and Grandpa, daddy is everything okay?" As Gracie came out of her bedroom with Donna in tow.

"Everything is fine sweetheart, why don't you and mommy go into the kitchen and whip up a milkshake for yourselves go on honey me and grandpa will be in a minute." Harvey smiled at his daughter trying to hide the fight that he was having with his dad and didn't want Gracie in the middle of it.

"You two need to sort this out quickly!" Donna sternly said to Harvey and Gordon as Gracie left the room.

"No it's not! You and grandpa had a good relationship, just because grandma Lily might of done something bad doesn't mean you have to fight." Gracie shouted at her dad and Harvey looked at his daughter in shock knowing how clever and witty that Grace was.

Harvey looked at Donna, and she looked at Gracie, Gracie looked distraught over the argument that her father and grandfather had over possibly nothing, she didn't even understand what it was over, she didn't want her family to fall apart.

"Dad can we just talk about this later? I can't have Gracie hearing all of this maybe tomorrow we can go to lunch or something after a client, but not now... not in front of Gracie she's too valuable to hear this sort of stuff." Harvey made a suggestion as he got out two glasses and poured out two scotches for himself and one for Gordon.

"Daddy just because I'm like eight years old doesn't mean you have to stall the conversation with grandpa." As Gracie went to sit on the kitchen barstool with Donna by her side.

"Honey its so complicated you won't understand, it's only for grandpa and daddy to sort out sweetheart why don't you get your colouring books and show them what you've showed me so far?" Donna suggested as she stroked her daughters ginger hair similar to hers.

"Okay mommy I will." As Gracie jumped off the stall to retrieve her colours.

"She's a smart kid, that one I didn't regonise her when she opened the door to me." Gordon sighed as he continued to drink his scotch that Harvey gave him.

"That kid is going to Harvard to be a Lawyer, nothing else sometimes she's too good for own boots." Harvey replied to his dad.

"Harvey! No she's not! She's got brains because you're a lawyer and I'm a COO of the same firm as you we have our heads into law and you just want her to do the same thing that you do, what about what she wants to do in life?" Donna piped up to her husband she shook her head at her father in law who just laughed.

"My son always wanted his kids to do the same career as him Donna didn't you know that when you married him?" Gordon jokingly suggested to his daughter in law.

"Here is my colouring stuff grandpa, look see? I coloured everything from here to here, but I think was the hardest but this one here is the easy part." Gracie was showing her grandpa her work that she has been doing in her spare time especially when Harvey and Donna are strict on her homework.
