Hi everyone!
I am very pleased to be back at last, but unfortunately this is only an update. I will start on a new chapter soon. Thank you all for your continuing support, I have been desperate to get back to this story, but I have been unable to for the following reasons.
(1) In Jan/Feb of 2021, I was 7 months pregnant with my 2nd child when my appendix burst. After a weekend wait for a competent doctor I was rushed up to a city hospital where they removed the remains of my appendix and vacuum cleaned my stomach cavity. I gave birth the next day to my son who was 12 weeks premature. I subsequently spent 3 months up in the city, over 400 kilometers from my family. My son is recovered and is now a very healthy and very active toddler who does not at all look preemie!
(2) My husband and I started building a house, which we were meant to be moved into last Christmas, but will probably be moving in this Christmas. It is a block in the country, but we are not very far removed from our neighbours or the shops. So I have been a bit rushed sorting out builders and tilers and plumbers.
(3) I had my 3rd child just this April, only 14 months younger than my son. It was a difficult pregnancy towards the end, because the ultrasounds kept saying the baby was small and I had to be sent up to my closest big city (400kms away) for scans and tests to check baby was healthy (baby was HUGEEEE). I came back home (despite Drs insisting I stay in the city), and went one day overdue. I also got Covid the day I went into labour (Covid for the first time), and thankfully avoided a C-section and had a healthy baby girl.
I have now repaired my laptop and will subsequently return to writing this story.
I will try and upload at least one chapter a month, but when the moving gets hectic, I may have to postpone.
Thank you all for sticking by this story, and thank you all for your kind comments.
With my thankful heart
Anne Douglas
