A/N: I'm participating in a "Jilytober" Fic Fest right now, using prompts created by the amazing MagicGirlInAMuggleWorld. All of the stories are James and Lily but I've managed to sneak at bit of Harry into one of them so far. I'm posting each drabble as a separate chapter although some of them relate to each other and some are independent. I don't think I'll write all 31, but hopefully 10 or 12.

I can't believe I told you that!

James and Lily were snogging. This in itself was not unusual; they snogged a lot these days. Lily told James they were likely the first Heads in the history of Hogwarts to actually want to drag out their evening rounds. Yesterday they'd spent a truly lovely half-hour behind the tapestry of trolls on the second floor and the day before that it had been the broom closet near the Charms classroom. It had become something of a game with them, to try to find new and interesting places to be alone. Tonight they were still just outside the portrait hold, trying to ignore the comments the Fat Lady and her friend Violet were making while they debated, in between kisses, where to go next.

"We do need to actually check the castle," Lily pointed out. She tilted her head back so that James could better reach her neck. "The prefects on duty are handling the west corridors, but that still leaves . . . oh, right there . . ." Her voice faded away, planning forgotten.

James lifted his face long enough to flash a grin at her. "Maybe we'll end up staying right here, since my lips are obviously so distracting."

Lily moved restlessly in his arms. "That's not the part of you that's distracting me right now," she mumbled. James stilled.

"What . . .uhh," - he cleared his throat - "what part of me is distracting you, then?"

Lily looked startled. "What part . . .ohhh." A blush climbed her cheeks. "I can't believe I just told you that - for a second I thought you were Marlene!" She buried her face in James' chest.

The air seemed to have gone out of the corridor. James pulled Lily closer until she was flush against him. "What part of me, Evans?" he asked thickly.

Lily didn't move.
