DxD Blades of Destiny
The dimensional gap, a place where no life can thrive here unless they're power can far exceed anything in the universe. Yet in this place one thing stands out. In the vast emptiness there shines a light as if it was a star shining from thousands of miles away in space.
The light was golden with a hint of white added on its outlines; tiny sparkles floated around the light as if it were dancing for it.
For all its brightness it had no hopes of anyone seeing it for nothing non powerful would survive a second in this dimension. But in the vast emptiness around this particular area something within the light began to stir. It grew brighter, bright as if it was a star going supernova at the end of its life.
The sparkles that danced around it turned into lightning of the color blue, a color that indicates it's at a very heated temperature. And with one final expansion of its size the glowing light shrank back down into its original spot until finally it disappeared as if it wasn't there.
The light was gone, no longer in the dimensional gap; yet something was there to witness its mighty brightness. A shadowy figure that resembled a massive beast except this creature didn't appear alone with more heads that seem to appear next to it.
This was something as whole, something that appeared to be floating in one place as if it were sealed, unable to move an inch of its body. This creature growled that if anything was near it would vibrate violently, fear could overtake even the mightiest of hearts. Yet it still did not move and with that final growl the bright light in its eyes shut closed giving the appearance of a shadowy thing in the vast emptiness.
"How interesting," said someone so far away. A purplish mist no bigger than an average man floated, no shape whatsoever yet it showed clear signs it was something alive. "Your creation finally bears fruit, no longer able to stay here less be destroyed." In its outspoken thinking the voice could almost sound like it was intrigued as if it had been bored for so long waiting for something and anything to happen.
"This could be….very interesting to see what happens next." With those final words the purple mist just like the orb from before disappeared as if it wasn't there before. Unknown events would now no matter who knew would be taking place in world mythology and supernatural for better or for worse.
Greek city of Athens
The city of Athens, the biggest metropolitan center and influential urban area in Greece. A population of over three million the place is lively like any other.
Down below in one area the site sets on a grave site in the outskirts of the urban area, there stands one person over a grave holding a set of flowers. This person is a human male with brown skin, black spiky hair and brown eyes. He also wore a red jacket with a blue shirt for the chilly air that blew today, and wearing black jeans with his shoes red and white.
The boy knelt down placing the flowers near the grave stone. His eyes looked up at the words engraved in front him which wrote the words Philip J. George 1965-2019. "Happy birthday day…Grandpa," the young man said with a sad look. It was clear this was his grandfather who is now dead and buried along with others in the local cemetery.
With a sigh the boy stood up and looked up into the sky deep in thought of the many times he spent with his now deceased grandfather. "I wish you were here grandpa, you always knew what to say even on bad days," the young man while sad made a slight smile across his face trying to pull himself together.
"I just….I know you want me to move on and find my dream as a big artist but……," he stopped halfway before looking down at his grandfather's grave with the smile now gone. "It won't feel the same without you grandpa, I…don't truly know if I can".
He wipes away a small tear in his eyes trying to compose himself. Even though he wanted to tell at the top of his lungs for his grandpa to come back he knew better such things will not happen in a million years.
Few seconds pass and the boy looks at the grave a few more seconds before turning around, walking out through the gates with a heavy sigh. "I'll see you later grandpa," with those final words he finally exits.
Pulling out his phone and earbuds out of his backpack he listens to music while walking to the nearest train station. The place was somewhat crowded in the late evening of the day where everyone was either getting off of work or school.
He managed to swerve his way on the train and onto an open seat. "Phew! Thought I was gonna have to stand all the way like last time," he said with relief of his situation.
"Grandpa! Grandpa over here!," Yelled the voice of a young boy with his own grandfather holding his hands. The kid looked to be no older than seven years old while his grandfather looked to be in his sixties.
"Of course Michael settle down" said the grandfather, making sure to keep up with the grandchild but still managed to keep a smile on him. For the young man who lost his grandpa watching it was pure nostalgia for him. Remembering the times he used to be that up beat with his own grandfather, he didn't show it but that scene made a slight but somewhat bright come across his face.
"Excuse me sir, may we sit with you for the ride?" The old man said to him with a caring voice that you would expect from an elderly person. "Oh of course it is better to sit than stand on these long rides."
"Ho ho I agree these old bones wouldn't be able to handle that now," the elder said while sitting down with his grandson sitting next to him. The kid couldn't help but laugh at the statement "But grandpa you still work even though you could be retired now." That while immature was able to get his grandfather laughing a bit retorting back "Oh I'll get it to…. eventually," he says rubbing the back of his.
"Pffft mommy says otherwise grandpa haha." The scene itself was wholesome for the young man, he couldn't help but chuckle a little under his breath.
"Ah I apologize if we were too loud sir," he says with a concerned face but the young man simply waves his hands, answering back at him "No you're perfectly fine, it's always nice to see friendly faces, most people are kinda stuck up."
"I know right!?" The kid says smiling and eyes wide, if he could have twinkles in his eyes it would be an adorable scene. "Ho ho now Lucas I'm sure some people just had a rough day." That was the name of the child he now learned, a name he didn't hear too often but was nice to hear once in a while.
"Haha true that as well mister….," He asked before the elder responded with his name. "Ah excuse my manners, my name is Georg."
This caused him to widen his eyes, this elder had the same name as his late grandfather, and the fact he was with this child Lucas it all seemed way too much like he was reliving his last despite this man not being his own grandfather.
"Hmm? Is everything alright mister?," He said with another concern in his voice, his politeness truly was like a pure definition of a nice kind old man. "Y-Yeah! Sorry, I had a bit of nostalgia that comes and goes." He made sure not blurt out what he was thinking less he wished to creep out these two people.
"Ah no harm at all mister," the grandfather said with a smile. "Grandpa knows what that's like! He tells the best stories, mister!," Lucas' bright smile showed how much he loved his grandpa's stories, even if you didn't know that enthusiasm was proof enough.
"I'll bet he does Lucas," this time the young man said but with a smile on his face, it was as if the three were now close neighbors despite just meeting now. "Ah forgive me we didn't quite catch your name mister," the grandfather said to which the young man replied back "Oh right, my name is….."
Suddenly the train shook violently stopping him from saying anything, all the passengers panicked wondering what in the world was going on. "Grandpa, what's going on!!?," Lucas asked in a scared voice that was very understandable for a child.
"I don't know Lucas but hold onto me tightly!," Philip said, making sure he was okay. The young man held onto a pole trying to catch his footing. What felt like an eternity finally ended with the violent shaking of the train stopping. Everyone looked around scared and confused, some holding onto the poles for dear life worried it would happen again.
"Is everyone alright!?," One passenger said, which got a few others to nod. The young teenager who had been talking to Philip and Lucas nodded as well and eager for any answers.
"Dammit the doors closed shut!!!," Said a female passenger trying to open the door with another one helping. The shaking was violent enough to somehow cut the power rendering even the lights to cut off.
Looking back at the two the teenager kneels down to Lucas "Don't worry, we'll get off this train Lucas," his words having some effect with Lucas nodding but still clearly shaken.
Suddenly, as if the nightmare happened again, only this time the ceiling of the train began to shake, the sound vibrating was that as if someone was running on top. Everyone looked up wondering if someone was trying to break inside.
"Maybe the firefighters are trying to break through!," One passenger asked but had someone else become skeptical asking back "This quickly!? That doesn't make any sense…," this made everyone think in unison despite the situation.
"Either way we need out, hey up there can you he…..,The very female passenger that tried to open the sealed shut door was cut off, the very train they were stuck on suddenly started to fall to its right.
"Everyone hang on!!!," The teenager said while he held Lucas in one hand while also barely holding onto Philip with his free hand.
"GRANDPA!!!!Lucas's shouts were loud and clear, tears flowing down his cheeks desperately reaching for his grandpa. "Just hold on Lucas!!!," He yells back.
The train flipped over and over. Every passenger who didn't hold onto something was bounced around slamming into the steel walls and glass that with every turn began to crack.
One final flip and the train car had come to a stop, everyone was bruised or bloodied from the extreme tumble. The teenager had curled up into a ball covering Lucas so no harm could be done to the child; the grandfather, while bruised and alive, was now stuck under a seat that had gotten loose.
"A-Are you okay!?" He asked him slowly, walking on the ceiling now turned upside down towards Philip. "I…I'm stuck but okay. Is Lucas….," He asked but the teenager answered with a slight smile "He's okay, just put cold probably from the shock but he's still breathing." Philip looked up, breathing a sigh of relief over the safety of his grandson "Thank you mister thank you."
This moment of relief was not to last as suddenly the smell of smoke filled the air. This was a sign that the train they were on was now on fire, everyone still conscious started to panic, desperately looking for a way out.
"Dammit…there's gotta be some way out!," The teenager cursed under his breath. But as if fate was looking down on him he noticed through all the panicking the door sealed shut was cracked open. He shouted at the top of his lungs despite the smell of smoke becoming more and more "The doors! It's open!!!," His voice rang through with every head turning towards the now cracked open door.
"Everyone get wounded and hurry this whole train is gonna blow!!!," This was enough for everyone with strength to grab the wounded and unconscious to the door one by one, in moments like this human kindness is what could save everyone.
"Here take him!," The bruised teenager said to one person who didn't hesitate making sure the child was safe. Once he saw Lucas outside he turned his attention to Philip who was still stuck under the seat.
"Mister….don't sacrifice your young life for me…please go…," he said with no hint of fear for his life but the teenager was having none of it.
"Lucas can't lose you…I know what it's like to lose someone that brightens your day so I'm making sure he doesn't have too!" With all his strength he managed to lift up the seat just enough for Philip to crawl out.
Not wasting a second longer he slumps him over his shoulders staggering towards the exit. It seemed like all would be out safe and sound but fate had a different turn with the very door slowly collapsing down the risk of both being sealed in shut.
"Damn….," He looked at Philip with a stern expression that his mind was set on what had to happen in his opinion. "Mister…please," Philip begged but he lowered his head before looking back him saying
"Sorry Philip, but he needs you and I hope….you can forgive this dumb teenager for what he did." His last words spoken he slid Philip out the door just barely hitting it collapsing. The door was closed once again but this time for good.
He was now trapped inside, the smoke had gotten heavier and breathing was difficult without inhaling the black smog. Soon fire started to burn all around, turning up the heat and melting the steel. He leaned back coughing trying to breathe but to no avail.
With a sigh he looked up through a small hole thinking about how all this could happen "S-Sorry grandpa….guess I'll *coughs* be seeing you…sooner than expected…" his vision started to blur, he could no longer get in clean air and was now choking to death.
Before his eyes closed shut he looked up at the whole too small for him to even think of climbing through. His mind playing tricks on him raised through his mind as looking through the whole he Sees two people that appear to be floating in the air.
One had white hair and what seemed to be a robe on him, the other seemed to have dreads and wore a leather jacket with jeans. But that wasn't what made him think he was delirious, it was on the leather jacket wearer that did. "B-Black….wings?," He said in his mind not able to speak any longer.
Whether or not he was losing his mind or not it didn't matter with his eyes now closing shut and the last gasp of air before the heart stopped signalling he no longer lived.
His life was now gone, the final act of sacrificing his life to save someone; he truly would be remembered for his sacrifice but things were now going to take a turn not even he would suspect in a million years.
Suddenly as if time stopped all the fire stopped burning, the steel at a stand still from melting. Even on the outside the people who had escaped were no longer moving every single last person in the area.
All except for what seemed to be a light that shines out of nowhere as if this were its destination. A final flicker of it dying down, with it appeared two people floating towards the ground softly.
"As if wandering in our territory wasn't enough they had to make a scene!" The first person said. It was a female but not like someone with random clothes for she wore what seemed to be a clothe of Greek mythology, attached to it were bronze like armor around her body.
Bronx armor on her shoulders, arms, and legs. Despite how firm it looked on her even on her hips it hugged her curves still managing to show off her hips. The cloth around her legs seemed to also be of Greek origin with it stopping halfway around her legs but also with one strap going from her hips across her chest and towards her shoulder.
She however did not look to be a person for show as she also carried a very large Bronx shield that looked to be so large you would have to have superhuman strength to carry. Last but not least was her long spear engraved also with bronze but with some gold with small carvings around it; the metal tip especially looked sharp at the top as if one single poke of it could draw blood. "Luckily the damage on this scale was not too severe, my queen Hera."
"It can be fixed with ease for the humans Athena," Hera the supposed queen of the gods said while standing beside Athena who was surveying the damage. Unlike Athena her outfit was more designed for a queen. Her outfit was that of standard Olympian like dress but with added stuff. The white dress hugged her entire body showing off her impressive bust, curved hips, and unlike Athena Hera's lower dress fell down more but shifted towards her left leg while the right leg exposed. On the lines around her entire dress gold squares adorned them shining in the sun despite time still stopped. Even her heels seemed to be gold as well along with her crown that held around her long wavy brown hair. She was the definition of a royal queen with smooth beautiful skin that would make even a supermodel jealous.
"I'm more concerned with the spike in power that just popped up out of nowhere only to disappear…," Hera said, rubbing her chin looking around now deep in thought.
"I agree my queen, and for this to happen it can only mean the power spike may have been which could mean why those two outsiders were here," Athena said back now, kneeling towards the destroyed train.
Hera walked up beside her holding her hands out "It is faint but up close I can sense something in here," she said before with a flick of her hand now glowing orange she pushes the train door with her magic with pure ease clearing showing she was very skilled at this.
Athena walked in first to look around with a small sigh seeing the damage done here. Finally her head shifted down towards none other than the young man who was now long gone with his arms slumped down.
Hera walked over to him kneeling down sighing, despite her statues it was clear she valued life not liking the sight before him. "Such a life gone too soon," she says, wiping some dirt off his face. Athena walks beside her kneeling as well analyzing him before she looks at her queen saying "I feel it better now at this close range as well my queen, this young man is definitely the source we sensed."
This made Hera nod in approval before looking at Athena, she didn't need to reply as she knew what Hera wanted her to do.
Athena placed her hand on his chest, hands glowing blue and her eyes closing. "Male the age of 17, he originates from the United States though his ancestry traces back from Greece then the Caribbean . Has also been an orphan for 12 years before being adopted but that parental figure passed away a year ago." Athena tells Hera took all the information as she had plans for this man.
"What is the name of this young man Athena?" She says before starting to hold her hands glowing an orange hue like before opening the train doors.
"Leon Alexander my queen Hera," Athena replied with her eyes now open and standing tall. This was the name of the young man who passed away before these Greek goddesses came before him. Hera knelt down in front of Leon now holding a glowing orange ball of light.
"Leon Alexander, too soon you have passed but now I Hera queen of the Olympian Pantheon grants you a second chance of life on our shores. Big things come your way child."
With those last words she gently pushes the orb inside Leon's chest, his body glows brightly before dying down. "Athena makes sure he gets a change of clothes and a soft bed, it will be a while before he wakes," this as before came with loyalty for Athena simply nods and picks up Leon.
Hera with a clasp of both hands summons a teleportation circle under all and three, a few seconds and all of the disappeared and time starts to flow again, the events happening in secret from the pause of time itself to keep the goddesses from being seen.
Events are now starting to stir, Leon Alexander who should've died was saved by the coming of two goddesses that should be of legend but all too real. Many things are shrouded in mystery but all in due time they will reveal themselves one by one, a good or bad thing will eventually come in the future.
