0: Unstable

Tsar Lunar needed a new spirit, a spirit for the positive aspects of winter, a spirit as a potential new guardian. He found a fitting soul, Jackson Overland, well, now Jack Frost. He died saving his sister, perfect deed to become a guardian. But when creating him, turning him into a guardian, he made a mistake, a mistake he didn't do for the first time. Jack's center, it wasn't stable, it wasn't complete. With this core, he won't be able to control his powers and do his duties correctly. Not only that, but someone like Pitch Black, that menace, could easily influence and corrupt his very core.

Said spirit already tried to convince other spirits to work for him.

Lunar was worried, the Darkness could leech onto Jack. It would complete the core, but Jack wouldn't be the spirit he is supposed to be. He can't risk that nor that Jack can't control his powers. Winter spirits count to the strongest spirits, that's why they're so feared by the others. Pitch may be weak, but he is out there, Lunar can sense him. he can't risk this.

Lunar tried to talk to the Guardians, who, thanks to Sanderson, also known as Sandy, reacted fast and answered his call.

"Manny, with what can we help?", asked North. Lunar told them, and sandy translated... which E. Aster Bunnymund had to translate.

"Our friend created a new spirit, but he is not stable, incomplete core. We should find him and do a ritual, to complete the core.", told them Bunnymund, "Before he looses control over his powers and causes havoc. Oh, it's a winter spirit! Oh!"

"Why is it important that he is a winter spirit?", asked Toothiana.

"Well, Tooth,", explained Bunnymund, "Winter spirits count to the strongest spirits, at least under the elementals. A winter spirit who can't control his powers, that sounds terrible! Disaster incoming!"

"Not to mention with Pitch out there.", added the holiday spirit. "He may be weak, but corrupting an incomplete winter, he could do that. He once had winters under his control, remember?" Toothiana nodded, remembering the fight. She shivered, just thinking about it.

"Than what we're waiting for! Let's fetch this new spirit!"

The newly created spirit wandered around the lake. He discovered his powers and learned his name, but he felt lost and incomplete. This feeling got stronger when he saw his mirror image on the ice. One of his eyes had no colour, just grey. The other was blue, icy, like it feels right to be. He starred at the ice, before noting a dark figure in the background. He turned to the figure and saw a tall man, covered in black.

"Oh my, you feel incomplete, don't you, Jack?", spoke the man, "Not surprising, your core is incomplete."

"I-Incomplete?", replied Jack, "What do you mean? And who are you?"

"My name is Pitch Black. And I mean, we spirits, we have a core, this core shows who we are and what we do."

"But, does that mean it's something bad that it is incomplete?"

"Yes, smart of you to think about it's implication. Now, you're a winter spirit, a rather powerful spirit.", told him Pitch, "You see, you won't be able to control your powers, you wouldn't be able to fulfill your purpose."

That surprised Jack. These powers, not under control? He seems to be doing just fine! He hit a nearby tree with his ice, instead of the pretty patters other trees got, this one busted with ice, scarring the young spirit. Pitch just chuckled.

"This is just a small slipper. I can help you, Jack.", stated Pitch, "You just need to help me in exchange."

Jack, scared of his powers and unsure what to do, agreed.

"You seem to know what you talk about."
