(Early Authors Note: Hello, all! If you're new to my fanfics then TaleBearer42Day is my name, and telling tales is my game. For those who have read a story of mine before, I made this one because I just have so many crossover ideas, and I just want to put as many as possible out there for your enjoyment. So, without further ado...enjoy...)
One simple day of magic-wielding-and-learning.
Is that too much to ask?
Is it?!
Tempest is a wizard who is starting his first day at the Academy of (or more specifically, on) Prodigy Island. However, before that, he traveled the whole island learning what he could about the Elements.
In the end, he always went back to the Storm Element. Hence the reason he has a bunch of storm-related pets.
And now, here he is, facing off against the Puppet-Master.
And on his first day here, too.
"Well, well, well. What have we here?" The Puppet-Master asks sinisterly (and mockingly). "Just because you have a bunch of pets doesn't mean you–OH GOOD LORD!"
This final saying was because Tempest and his pets all unleashed their best attacks upon him.
Somehow he survives (mainly by dodging and squealing) and starts to get ticked off.
"AGH! You think that will stop me!? You're wrong! MINIONS!" He bellows, calling forth a squad of Earth Neeks.
"Deal with them, at once!"
Unfortunately, or fortunately (depending on whose side you look at it) the Neeks got too scared and ran away.
Under the control of the Puppet-Master or not, there are some warnings that are too great to ignore.
After watching them scurry away in panic, Tempest decided to try and peacefully resolve things.
"Look, can't we do this at a different time? Sure, no-one else is here, so I could mop the floor with ya. But I don't want to leave the Academy in shambles. So why don't we both call it a day?"
But the Puppet-Master was already in a really sour (almost pouty) mood. He wouldn't back down now. "Besides" He thought to himself, "He's probably just bluffing about being able to beat me."
Tempest was not, however.
At least not wholly bluffing.
He knew the Puppet-Master was a real tough individual. So him probably going all-out would just give him a major-league beating. If it was just Tempest, and Tempest alone.
But he had his loyal pets (though he prefers the term 'friends') with him. Together, they might be able to take him down.
It all just boils down to luck, skill, and whoever has the most powerful attacks waiting to be used.
The Puppet-Master knew this too.
So, he decided the only way to get rid of them was to just use his most ultimate move.
But not before Tempest tried to buy time for his friends to run.
"ION CANNON!"
It was a direct hit.
Sadly, in vain. For the Puppet-Master still had another hand with which he created a warding shield to stave off the blast.
Although the Puppet-Master knew his ultimate attack would destroy Tempest, he wanted to make sure.
So, with his free hand, he called upon a Vamplifier and a Terrosaur to weaken his foes. He knew the storm element was (for some reason not neutral, but still) weak against itself.
And he was hoping the Terrosaur would be able to overpower them. Even though the storm and fire elements were neutral.
Apparently, today was his lucky day.
The Vamplifier was beating back two Cloud Neeks, and the Terrosaur was holding its own against the Luminex. All in all, things were finally going right for him.
Tempest, however, would not stay down. Why wouldn't he just lose like he's supposed to!?
But that could wait, for as he was charging his attack up, he decided to have one more gloat before the end.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What can you do now, huh? NOTHING! I have won this game. I will rule all of Prodigy Island! And you won't stand in my way."
Tempest knew he couldn't do anything without blowing everything up. He gathered all his friends in for a hug, and said "Goodbye, guys. It's been fun."
And the attack struck.
But… something was wrong. When it hit, it just disappeared. Until it came back as a swirling vortex. It caught everyone (or at least the eighteen people who were there) completely off-guard.
Pippet, the Puppet-Masters helper, knocked him out of the way to hide behind something and not get sucked in.
Tempest and his friends, sadly, weren't so lucky.
As they were getting pulled within, Tempest tried to sow a seed of doubt in the Puppet-Masters mind.
"You may have gotten rid of us, Puppet-Master. But there will be another to defeat you! Mark my words! YOU WILL BE DEFEATED!"
His final words were clear (but distorted and extended) as he, at last, was pulled into the vortex.
It soon closed.
Once the coast was clear, Pippet and the Puppet-Master got up. The Puppet-Master brushed his robes, gave a hearty (albeit nervous) laugh, and boasted.
"Hmph! He can say whatever he likes, but that doesn't change a thing. He and his pets are gone, though not in the way I wanted. Oh well, I'm sure it won't cause any problems here, or wherever I sent them. Now, let's go lie in wait for the other students to come."
As he and Pippet walked off, the Puppet-Master had unknowingly just jinxed a series of strange (yet to Tempest, marvelous) events into happening.
(Ending Authors Note: Well... here it is. The prologue of my fourth fanfic. The reason behind this one is because I was VERY disappointed at the lack of Witch Craft Works fanfics. However, for a time I didn't know what to cross it with. I wanted to do another Total War Warhammer one (with Albion) but thought against because WCW isn't THAT dark. I then thought about doing Halo, but gunned it down when I just couldn't picture it happening. So in the end, I chose this. I hope you all like it, and please, don't forget to review, follow, and favorite.
