"I'm ruined..." Chris muttered to himself, sitting in a jail cell at the moment. It wasn't a pretty one though. Despite the former host's wealth, he was being kept in a dingy cell just like the rest of the inmates. He was by himself at the very least, which could be considered both a good and bad thing.

Lawsuits for child endangerment, torture, pollution, animal cruelty, fraud, terrorism, property damage, arson, the list went on and on, but after the fourth season of Total Drama, it had all caught up to him and he was arrested for all his crimes. No one else in the prison had any respect for him, it was miserable.

He had been rotting in his cell for a year now, and the network didn't seem to be in any kind of hurry to get him out of jail. He wasn't even provided a lawyer from the network, he had to hire his own. Chris hadn't lost himself though, he'd clung onto hope. They'd come for him and bail him out eventually, right? Right?

It felt like it would be another day passing with nothing happening, with Chris just being stuck in his cell with no events outside of eating. That was until one of the guards walked up to his cell and began to unlock the door. "What's going on? Another trial?" Chris asked, since he had been brought into other trials during his prison sentence that just tacked on more time.

"You have a visitor." the guard replied bluntly, opening the door and handcuffing Chris once it was open.

Chris stepped outside of his cell, raising an eyebrow at the guard. "A visitor? What's the name?" Chris asked while the guard closed the cell door.

"A Mr. Hatchet. Just follow me." the guard answered, which got a grin to appear on Chris's face as he heard the name. He was saved.

The guard led Chris to where the visitors talked to the prisoners, although there weren't any other prisoners getting visitors at the moment. The kind of people that were Chris's inmates were the kind of people that would never be visited. The only person there was Chef, dressed in a black suit and holding a folder. "Took you long enough!" Chris shouted as soon as he heard Chef.

Of course, Chris couldn't be heard by Chef yet, who was just waiting for the former host to take a seat in front of him. The guard sat Chris down and handed the phone to him, letting him actually talk to Chef now. "What made you wait so long to visit me?" Chris asked right off the bat, clearly somewhat bitter.

"The network. They didn't want anything to do with you, and they didn't want anyone seeing you to fill you in on what's been going on. I had to go through a bunch of meetings just to get them to even try and give you another chance after how bad the ratings were for the last season, so you best be thanking me boy!" Chef explained to Chris, not appreciating Chris's first question.

Chris raised an eyebrow, Chef's last part catching his attention. "Another chance? What do you mean by that?"

Chef nodded his head. "The producers finally greenlit another season with you as host. They already took care of your bail, and you'll be out on parole for your toxic waste dumping. You'll just be on parole during the season, but I know you won't mind that." Chef answered, making Chris's signature grin return.

Chris snickered, already picturing what kind of twisted challenges he could bring. "So back to Wawanakwa then? Or what did the producers decide on?" Chris asked, now just eager to hear the details of this new season.

"Still up in the air. Budget for a new location is gone, so we're gonna have to reuse something." Chef informed Chris, with the host now bringing a hand to his chin to think up something.

After thinking for a quick moment, Chris raised a finger. "I got it, why don't we use that old film lot? We still own it, so we can probably milk a season out of that place! That's the easy part though, what kind of cast are we looking at?" Chris jumped on the idea, now just eager to see who he'd be torturing.

Chef shrugged, opening up his folder which mostly just had the terms of Chris's bail and parole. "I don't know yet, some committee of suits is showing the audition tapes to focus groups right now. Business talk, marketability, stuff like that, I ain't keeping up with the cast. But they'll put together a big cast for you, don't worry." Chef replied, since the cast was just decided by the network.

The guard standing by Chris pointed at the watch on his wrist, indicating that they were almost out of time. "Well I've gotta get going now, but thanks for checking in Chef. I'll be looking forward to this for sure." Chris told Chef, then stood up from his seat to be led away by the guard.

Chef waved to Chris as the guard walked away to head back to his cell, and his phone soon began to ring. It wasn't a number he recognized, and their caller ID was just 'You've been breached!'. It didn't look like a scam, so Chef picked it up. "Who's this?" he asked as he began to walk back to the prison entrance.

A young voice responded, although Chef still didn't know who it was. "Oh so this is Chef's number! Heck yeah! Name's Freddy, big fan of the show, bigger fan of a certain game franchise called-" he began to ramble.

"What do you want from me anyway? The network is the one you want to call for this kind of thing. I ain't a roster picker!" Chef told the boy bluntly.

"Oh right, guess the introduction can be saved for in person. Just wanted to ask you directly to tell the producers to put me in the show! Just tell 'em to include Freddy, I already sent my application in, and they won't regret taking me! I've got the makings of a winner!" Freddy requested excitedly, although some strange beeping could also be heard from Freddy's side of the line.

Chef didn't really care about the selection process, so he didn't think about it. "Sure. I'll tell them since you're so eager kid. Later." Chef hung up his phone and put it back into his pocket. He whistled to himself as he walked out of the prison and got in a car that was waiting for him. Chris had been filled in finally, now the network just had to know that he was on the same page as them. Then things could really get going.

Hoi! TDFan2077 here, and I'll be doing a full OC season as the third installment in the universe of fics I have going. (Call it the TDFanVerse if you want). This is going to be a return to the film lot of course, in a similar vein to Reloaded. Of course, since this follows Reloaded, go ahead and read it if you want more context, as well as more info since some of those campers will be appearing in future seasons alongside the ones that come from this season. Unlike with Reloaded, this is a full OC season, so we'll be having 26 episodes with 23 contestants! (Possibly 25 if I want to squeeze in a couple more).

This is an SYOC of course, so just follow the app on my profile and follow all the rules I have for the best chance of your character getting in. For more info, behind-the-scenes stuff, cast bios, and discussion on my fics, be sure to join our Discord server! Code is on my profile as well, so I hope to see you there!
