So get ready for something cute for Halloween! Up first, falling for your neighbor… please let me know what you think! I really do love reading them comments!

"Are you sure this is what you want to be for Halloween?"

"Yes, Mama. I tolded you, Caleb is going to be the Prince."

"But I haven't talked to Ben about this—" Rey hangs up the Snow White dress. Of course, her daughter would pick out the one-of-a-kind princess dress even though she has three other Snow White dresses at home. And while Mom and Dad said they were buying London's Halloween costume this year, she's sure Mom didn't mean the deluxe one at the Disney store.

And of course, it's the last one just in London's size.

"Mama—Grandpa said anyone I want." London's big blue eyes rim with tears. Her child loves Snow White mostly because ever since her black waves turned into perfect curls, everyone they met compared her to the Princess.

"Please don't cry. If Grandpa said ok, then we'll go ahead and get it for you."

"Yeah!" London jumps up and down getting the attention of several other kids and parents in the store. Before Rey can calm down the joy that her five-year-old is currently displaying, she's joined by another little person, Caleb Solo.

He's tall for his age, which considering his dad is six-foot-three is not surprising. Then those eyes. Both Solo men have those whiskey-colored eyes. Caleb's makes him look sweet, but Ben's—she can feel her face heat up as she remembers the latest dream she had about them. Together. Naked. Very naked as he-

The little boy grabs her legs interrupting her daydream. "Hey Caleb! Where's your dad?" Her and London moved two years ago next door to Ben and Caleb Solo. London and Caleb became fast friends bonding over daily swims in London's inflatable pool and jumping on Caleb's trampoline.

Come summer, since Rey's a first-grade teacher, somehow she ended up babysitting for Ben after school and during the summer. And come fall, she became Caleb's teacher.

"He's coming—" Caleb begins.

"Caleb Theodore Solo!" Caleb's quick inhale to Ben's booming baritone surprises her as he sinks down to eye level with his son. Even London's eyes grow round. "What did I tell you about running off? Especially here in the mall? You can't do that." He looks up and meets Rey's worried gaze. "Hello Rey, London."

The six-year-old little boy, who's lip is quivering looks up at his dad. "Sorry, Daddy," he whispers before he hugs his dad.

Ben runs his hand through his son's inky waves that match his dad's. Not for the first time, Rey wonders if Ben's waves feels like his son's.

"So, what brings you two fine gentlemen out?" Rey chirps while London grabs a hold of Caleb's hand.

"Last minute Halloween costume. It looks like London is going to be Snow White?" Ben asks.

London nods still looking warily between Ben and Caleb. "He's alright, London," Rey says. "He didn't listen, and Ben was worried when Caleb ran away."

"I didn't want him to get lost. I was lost in here once, and it was awful," Ben admits while both children watch him with wide eyes.

"How old were you when that happened?" Rey asks.

"Last week," Ben deadpans.

"Ben," she whispers with a ghost of a smile on her lips. She shakes her head and bumps into him. That's when those whiskey eyes of his catch her green-hazel ones.

"Daddy?" The adults break their gazes to see what Caleb needs. "The Kylo Ren costumes are over there."

"We'll be right back," Ben murmurs before he follows his son over to the Star Wars corner.

"Mama—" tears gather again in London's blue eyes.

"Hey, don't cry. You can still be Snow White. Just be her before she eats the apple?"

"Did Caleb forget?"

"Honey, sometimes boys do that, even when they're your neighbors and they love you right back. Maybe he changed his mind and forgot to tell you?" Yeah, Rey didn't think she'd be having that talk with her five-year-old daughter. She figured that talk would come much later. In an effort to make her feel better, Rey grabs the red strappy sandals that match and have the princess on them.

"The shoes too?" London asks, her face brightening immediately.

"Yes, the shoes too." London skips over to Ben and Caleb while Rey mutters, "Thank goodness Dad offered to pay."

The shoes must have helped because both kids are gushing about their costumes and how Kylo Ren and Snow White are their favorites.

"How are you?" Rey softly asks.

"I'm alright, how are you?" He echoes.

She looks up and in the lighting of the Disney store—she could almost swear that there's something more in his eyes— "Tired. We normally wouldn't have come to the mall on a Wednesday of all nights, but they sold out of this dress on the website and Mom called me in a panic because they promised London that she would have it—what are you two doing here?"

"Same thing. The you-know-who," Ben mutters not wanting Caleb to hear. Whenever his mom's name is mentioned, neither one of the Solo men react well. "Promised that she was going to take care of it, but then I get an email, she doesn't even call, but emails me to say that she's going on a cruise for a month."

"I'm sorry."

"Let's not talk about her. At least I have a month where I don't have to share my son with anyone."

"See, there's always a bright side," Rey chirps handing the teenager behind the counter the things London picked out.

"Hey, watch Caleb for a sec?" He whispers before he heads back over to the princess section.

"Alright—" She answers as she gives the teen the shared credit card for emergencies.

Ben is right back, and she scoots London out of the way so they can pay. As soon as Ben's done, the Solo men join them and they walk out together. "It's not too late, how about we grab a bite to eat? The chicken place that you two," Ben teases London and Caleb, "Love is still open."

Rey checks the time on her phone. it's only a little after six. "Sounds good." The kids run ahead, but not too far as Caleb remembers his dad's words.

When it's their turn to order, Ben motions for Rey to go first. After she orders her chicken sandwich and the ten-piece chicken nugget meal she reaches for her wallet. "I'm buying," he murmurs and before Rey can protest, he's adding his own chicken sandwich and nuggets for Caleb.

"Why did you do that?" She fusses.

"Because the only thing you let me pay for is gas when you take care of my son almost every day after school. And sometimes on Saturdays. The least I can do is buy you a chicken sandwich."

"Thank you." she smiles sweetly up at him. She tries not to think about how easy this is. Being with him and it already feels like his son is a part of her family. So many times, she's woken up in the middle of the night from a dream about them. More kids. Bigger house. So many smiles and so much laughter. "I'll herd the children—"

"Hurt? Is your mom going to hurt us?" Caleb asks with a grin that matches his dad's.

"I told you what herd means," her smiles is as wide as she looks over at Ben. "Did you tell him to say that?"

"Maybe?" Both Solo men give her the same smirk.

And she'd never tell how it makes her heart skip a beat.

Or how right it feels when they do stuff like this. Hanging out with the kids. The couple of times he came over after the kids went to sleep when Caleb was spending the night at her house. When they all came down with the flu last winter but she was the first one better so she took care of everyone else.

How he looked in his bed—

And she shakes her head. "Come on London. Let's get napkins and ketchup." She looks up at Ben. "Which we may or may not share with you."

London giggles and Caleb protests, "Daddy! Did you hear—"

"Son, she's teasing you." Ben grabs the tray of food and follows Rey and London. "Come on, let's eat." He says to Caleb who is still processing his revelation.

As soon as Ben sets down the tray, Rey helps the kids find their food while Ben sits down. Once London and Caleb are eating, Rey asks, "What are you two doing for the holidays? Same as usual?"

"No," Ben shakes his head. "Mom and Dad are going on a Thanksgiving cruise."

"They are? Mine are going to visit friends in Puerto Rico. They wanted us to go but school's only out for two days and I want to stay longer when I finally get to go."

"Do you want to come over for thanksgiving?" Both Ben and Rey ask at the same time. Her heart flips, Ben smiles, Caleb keeps on eating and London looks excited.

"Turkey? When are we eating turkey?" Caleb asks with a mouthful of chicken.

"On Turkey Day," London tells him before she eats a waffle fry.

"But I thought it was Halloween?" He answers as he let's go of the food in his hands. The boy eats like she does so she knows he's distraught when he drops his food.

Rey pulls out her phone. With a couple of swipes, she has the calendar on the screen. "Look Caleb, this is today. Then Halloween is Saturday on the thirty-first."

"How many days is that?" He asks as he and London both look at the screen.

"Let's count. One-two-three. Halloween is in three days."

"Three days?" London squeals.

"Candy-candy-candy—" Caleb chants.

"Let's eat guys," Ben warns before he meets her eyes. Rey is thankful for so many things, Ben being her neighbor is one of them. London's father died before she was born. And while London still has her Grandpa Cassian, it's nice to have a man around.

Even if she doesn't want to admit how she feels about him.

No, she takes that back. She knows how she feels about Benjamin Solo. Every time he looks at her like he wants to see her naked, her heart speeds up, the air leaves the room and a need like she's never felt before washes over her.

She knows exactly how she feels and how he makes her feel.

The problem is she's scared.

What if he laughs? What if she cries? what if its wonderfulamazingfantasic and he just wants to be friends?

What's a girl to do when she's in love with her daughter's best friend's father?
