Note: I wasn't happy with some of the chapters after re-reading through it a few times so I didn't lose track of dates or storylines. So I've deleted the original and started a new :)

He felt happy to be home for a while, over the summer and glad he is because he could help his family move temporarily into Number 12 Grimmauld Place, the home of Sirius Black. He opened his home up to those Order members who wanted to stay and be somewhere less open and more secure whilst the threat from the Dark Lord's followers is high, he was surprised to see his sibling's friend, Hermione Granger arrive on the same day as well.
He's heard of her of course but never met her before and now can't seem to take his eyes off the pretty witch. He's had to stop his eyes wondering a few times, around his siblings. Hermione is very pretty witch a heart-shaped face button nose, perfect lips and large brown eyes, that seemed to take everything in and long chocolate brown curls halfway down her back. Fuck they'd only been here not even twenty-four hours and he knows he's in trouble.
He couldn't be sure, but he is pretty certain her eyes have glanced in his direction a few times after the introductions were made, and when their hands shook, and skin met for the first time, he could have sworn they'd felt sparks or something. After dinner Hermione excused herself and asked Sirius if she could use the library, he said yes, and she left silently. He noticed Ron watching her leave and their mother hit him on the head with The Daily Prophet.
"OW! What in Merlin's saggiest balls was that for?" He asked rubbing his head where she hit him.
"Language! And you leave that girl alone Ronald Weasley. She made it quite clear she only wants to be friends with you, after your fiasco with Miss Brown and the way you treated her then, like when Viktor Krum took an interest in Hermione. She has made a very hard decision to protect her parents, in this war and from our world. No, I won't say what, it's up to her if she decides to tell you all. Hermione doesn't usually stay the whole summer with us. Bill dear, go and see if she's okay. She hardly touched her food poor thing." He looked shocked she'd asked him this but did as she asked, secretly happy to be alone with her.
It took him a while to find said witch, he'd not been in the Black library before now, and when he did find Hermione she's in a large green armchair next to a crackling fireplace tear streaks running down her pretty face, staring into the flames, an unopened book in her lap. Casting a silencing charm, he approached the clearly upset witch.
"Hermione, are you okay? Mum was a bit concerned." She looked up at him in surprise, as he approached her and then crouched down to her level.
"It's been a tough year, but I'm fine thank you Bill. What's Egypt like?" She asked him, taking him by surprise.
"Ron showed me and Harry postcards you'd send from Egypt," she explained to him. "My f-fa-family and I used to go to France, Spain or Malta."
"It's very much desert with areas of green, very hot and full of history. You see and learn something new every day. Is everything okay Hermione?" He asked taking her hands in his as tears flowed, she gasped feeling what he felt before and closed her eyes.
"No, not really." She placed a silencing charm up around them, unaware he'd already done this. "I asked Professor McGonagall if she'd help me erase all my family's memories of me to protect them from the war and this world, we did this last Friday. I'm also technically of age at eighteen in both the muggle and wizarding world due to my use of time-turners to fit in all the lessons I wanted to learn, since my second year." Some kind of understanding passed between them as she looked into his eyes as she said this. It made him and his feelings feel a little lighter.
"Does everyone else know this?" He asked her.
"No, only Molly and Arthur, and of course Professor McGonagall. I'd be surprised if Dumbledore does not know this, regarding my family. He knows about my age, he's the one who gave me the time-turner and explained everything to me." He stood up, and she surprised him by scooting over, it's a double armchair.
"You felt it too didn't you?" He asked her.
"Yes," she whispered." I don't know what it means though!" She said confused. He picked her right hand up and placed it a palm up against his own.
"I don't want to tell them anything, I like to keep my private life private. But I would like to explore this now I know you are of age! I haven't been able to keep my eyes off of you since we first met yesterday." Their fingers threaded through each others, and he leaned his forehead against her own, looking deeply into her eyes. She nodded, and he leaned in to press his lips to hers, confirming their new relationship.
Little did they know, this would be the start of something special in the not-to-distant future.
I'm not following the exact storyline but adding my own twist and turns in. Fenrir Greyback does happen, but there is no Fleur in this story.
