Well, I finally had some time and decided to do the rewrite of my Fanfic "What would you do if you were Snape in his time at Hogwarts".
This story will have the same idea, but many things will change.
Such as the fact that it will no longer be a self-insert. Now it will be a crossover with Star Wars with Anakin or rather Vader as the protagonist.
I clarify that it will not be completely Vader since it will be a combination of the peronalities of Snape and Vader, but the character will bring out the best of both.
I hope you enjoy my story and the changes I will make.
Leave your comments, it helps me to see my mistakes and try to improve.
Chapter 1:
-Year 19 BBY, Volcano Edge, Mustafar, outer rim territory.
Ankin Skywalker and Obi Wan confront each other on the lava river from the Volaco Edge of Mustafar.
"I have failed you, Anakin..., I have failed you..." Obi Wan said agitated and frustrated.
"I should have known the Jedi were plotting to take over ..." Ankin yelled in anger.
"Anakin, Chancellor Palpatine is evil!" contest Obi Wan still trying to make him see reason.
"From the Jedi point of view! From my point of view, the Jedi are evil!" Anakin responded by yelling again in anger.
"Well, then you are lost!" Obi Wan said with many emotions on his face, fury, regret, sadness, loss...
"This is the end for you, My Master" Anakin finally said as he jumps and flips onto Obi Wan's platform in the lava river.
The fighting continues again until Obi Wan jumps toward the safety of the black sandy edge of the lava river.
"It's over, Anakin. I have the high ground" Obi Wan yells.
"You underestimate my power!" Anakin answered, staring at Obi Wan with anger.
"Don't try it" Obi Wan said sounding almost like a plea.
Anakin follows, and Obi Wan cuts his young apprentice at the knees, then cuts off his left arm in the blink of an eye.
Anakin tumbles down the embankment and rolls to a stop near the edge of the lava river.
Anakin struggles to pull himself up the embankment with his mechanical hand. His thin leather glove has been burned off. He keeps sliding down in the black sand.
"You were the Chosen One!" Obi Wan yelled in frustration as he watched Anakin suffer and scream in pain.
"It was said that you would destroy the Sith, not join them!"
"It was you who would bring balance to the Force, not leave it in Darkness!" Obi Wan kept yelling at him while looking at him with a lot of pain reflected on his face.
Obi Wan picks up Anakin's lightsaber and begins to walk away, but he stops and looks back.
"I hate you!" Anakin yelled as he looked with a mixture of hatred and pain in his now yellow eyes at Obi Wan.
"You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you!" Obi Wan replied giving him a sad and lost look.
Instantly Anakin clothing blows into the lava river and ignites.
Suddenly Anakin bursts into flames and he starts screming.
Obi Wan looks in horror as Anakin becomes engulfed in flames, he can't watch him as he struggles to climb the embankment, covered in flames.
He runs back to Padme's ship as Anakin drops, smoldering, near the top of the lava pit.
-Mustafar, Landing Plataform, Naboo Skiff.
Once Obi Wan left Anakin burning, he went straight to the ship and upon arrival saw Threepio.
"Master Kenobi! We have Miss Padme on board. Please, please hurry. We should leave this dreadful place"
Obi Wan runs on board the Naboo Skiff.
En la nave Padme lies on a cot or bed inside the ship, Obi Wan walks over and checks on her.
"Obi-Wan? Is Anakin all right?" Padme asked me weakly and worried.
Obi Wan looks at her sadly and does not answer.
He brushes her hair back and Padme drops back into unconsciousness.
ARTOO watches over her.
Later Obi Wan rides in the co-pilot's station. He sits looking pensive and Threepio drives.
-Mustafar, Volcano Edge, lava river.
Anakin had now gone completely still with his body smoking.
A shuttle flies overhead and lands.
In the meantime, Darth Sidious walks in front of the clone troopers on his way to get to Anakin at the edge of the lava pit.
"Your Majesty, this way" yelled one of the clones.
After a while they all reached where what was left of Anakin was.
"There he is!" Darth Sidious yelled and then he checks him out.
Later he turns to the clones.
"He..."
"He's dead..." Sidious said with a mixture of regret, frustration and annoyance.
'This shouldn't have turned out like this!' Sidious groaned internally as he saw Darth Vader dead.
But what no one knew was that Anakin Skywalker's soul, spirit, and essence had not died.
Now, after his physical body died, Anakin remained in the Force but somehow he felt he was still connected to the world of the living, so he was still alive, well... everything but his physical body.
He then looked at the events around him in shock.
Anakin saw his dead body, and could not fully comprehend what was going on, how he was still alive.
But he could feel his being and his current presence slowly but steadily merging with the Force, and it let Anakin know that whatever state he was in, he didn't have much time until he died completely.
He didn't know how much time he had, but now that he was almost dead on his way to dying completely, the only thing Anakin could think to do before his time was up was to see his beloved Padme one last time and spend whatever time he had left with her.
Quickly, Anakin searched for Padme through the Force, now their connection was much stronger than before, so much stronger that he could sense the entire galaxy and beyond.
But he didn't bother to think about that, he only thought about Padme.
Moments later he found the place where he felt Padme.
The Force led him to the landing platform at Polis Massa.
-Polis Massa, Landing Platform
Anakin saw Obi-Wan lands the Naboo Cruiser on the landing platform of the isolated post of Polis Massa.
He also saw Yoda and Bail Organa, along with a few ground crew who are waiting as the ramp lowers and Obi-Wan emerges, carrying the unconscious Padme in his arms, followed by ARTOO and Threepio.
"Padme!" shouted Anakin rushing over to her to touch and talk to her but quickly realized that he could do anything but stare at her.
No one seemed to be able to notice Anakin.
Only Yoda and Obi-Wan seemed to sense something, but they could not identify what it was as Anakin's presence was minimal and camouflaged perfectly with the Force that was slowly making his presence in the world diminish more and more.
"We'll take her to the medical center, quickly," said Bail Organa.
Soon they all arrived at the medical center on Polis Massa.
Polis medics work, on Padme in an operating theater.
Anakin stayed by his beloved's side while Obi-Wan and one of the medical droids enter an observation room where Organa and Yoda were waiting.
"Medically, she is completely healthy. For reasons we can't explain, we are losing her," the medical droid reported.
Hearing that, Anakin despaired and couldn't believe it, it didn't make sense to him.
"Why is this happening?, she's perfectly fine, so why..?!." a worried and confused Anakin began to say, only for no one to hear him again.
"She's dying?" asked Obi-Wan in confusion and sadness.
"We don't know why. She has lost the will to live. We need to operate quickly if we are to save the babies," replied the medical droid.
"Babies?!" exclaimed Bail Organa in surprise.
"She's carrying twins," replied the droid.
"Save them, we must. They are our last hope" commented Yoda.
The medical droid rushes back to the operating room.
Moments later...
The twins are being delivered as Bail Orana, Yoda, ARTOO, and Threepio watch.
Obi-Wan is in the operating theater with Padme.
He takes her hand.
"Don't give up, Padme" Obi-Wan tells her as he takes her hand.
Padme winces from the pain.
The medical droid is holding the baby.
"It's a boy," said Obi-Wan taking the baby and holding him close to a tired Padme.
"Luke..." said Padme weakly, she can only offer up a faint smile.
She struggles to touch the baby on the forehead.
Then she winces again from the pain.
"And a girl," Obi-Wan then said as he saw the baby being held by the medical droid.
"Leia..." said Padme with what little strength she had.
Obi-Wan leans over Padme and softly speaks to her.
"You have twins, Padme They need you hang on," Obi-Wan tells her.
"I can't..." Padme winces again and takes Obi-Wan's hand.
She is holding Anakin's japor snippet.
"Save your energy," said Obi-Wan.
"Obi-Wan ... there is good in him. I know there is ... still ..." Padme started to say with the last of her strength, but she couldn't finish what she wanted to say as she died.
Anakin, who witnessed everything that happened, could only cry inwardly.
'It's my fault, it was all my fault..., I... I killed her!,' Anakin said to himself with fury, regret, and pain even greater than the pain he felt when he was burned by the lava.
'I just wanted to save Padme's life... I... I couldn't live without her... it was all I wanted...' thought Anakin in frustration and fury.
'She told me that she was afraid and I... and I told her to have faith, that everything would be all right soon'
'I promised her that things would be different, I asked her to wait for me, and I failed her'
'Ha... I thought the dark side of the Force could save her...' Anakin laughed sarcastically inwardly in frustration, sadness, and anger.
He was angry with himself.
He let himself be manipulated by Darth Sidious' words.
Sidious told him that they could save her from her fate, that cheating death was a power only one had ever achieved, but that if they worked together, he knew they could discover the secret to it.
He submitted to Darth Sidious to gain his teachings and save her... but...
"I ended up killing her!" shouted Anakin angrily.
"No...Darth Vader..."
'Darth Vader was the one who killed her!' thought Anakin.
That was the name Darth Sidious gave him when he decided to submit to his teachings, that was the name that made him lose everything...
And that is the name he deserved, to always remember his greatest mistake, his greatest shame, he was:
"Darth Vader"
And he would remember it until he died, that name was his greatest shame, his greatest mistake, and his greatest regret.
He no longer deserved to be called Anakin Skywalker.
Time passed and Vader remained in the Force with a very slight connection to the physical world, he knew that now he only had a few minutes to live.
But he didn't have to live anymore, he had lost everything and it was his own fault, yes, he was manipulated and he didn't listen to Obi-Wan, but still, it was his fault, he couldn't deny it.
'Padme trusted me until the last second of her life and I... and I just failed her, the darkness blinded me and because of that I lost everything...'
"I just wish I could have done something more..." Vader sighed sadly.
'But it seems I am only destined to fail...'
'I hope at least my children have a good life...' thought Vader with sadness and frustration, he really wanted to do something to fix his mistakes.
To somehow repay Padme for the trust she had in him, but there was nothing he could do, in a few hours he would be dead.
Just knowing that with Darth Sidious taking control of a large part of the galaxy no one would be safe frustrated him even more.
But at least Vader knew that his children had gone to homes that would keep them safe, at least for a long time he was sure they would, Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Bail Organa would make sure of that.
That was the only thing that comforted him, but Darth Sidious was a future danger to his children and the entire galaxy, a danger he didn't realise in time, and probably if he hadn't died, he would have continued to think that the right path was with Sidious.
It was only by dying and seeing Padme die that he was able to open his eyes and understand the truth.
"I am useless..." Vader sighed in defeat when suddenly a great and strange wave was felt throughout the Force.
Something unique was happening and it was somehow altering the entire Force.
Suddenly everything went dark for Vader.
Now Darth Vader found himself wandering in endless darkness.
You may wonder how this happened, well..., he had died, or at least his physical body died.
He was still alive, but now he was doubting whether he had died at all.
"Is this what it feels like to die?" wondered Vader, confused by the sudden surge in the Force and his dark surroundings.
'No, I'm still in the same state as before..., but that wave in the Force, I don't know what it did or what caused it, but it was something huge,' Vader concluded to himself.
Darth Vader had already understood that after Obi-Wan cut off his legs and left him lying near that river of lava, his body was completely burned and no matter how much he wanted to resist death he ended up dying.
But after his body died, it seems that his will remained alive, his being, his essence, his soul, his spirit along with his consciousness remained in the Force.
'Although I still don't quite understand how it was possible, but I managed to survive even though my body died,' Vader analysed.
'My body died, but my being, my soul, and my consciousness are still intact, well... at least for a while'
He could feel that little by little his time was running out and soon he would disappear forever.
The sudden and strange wave in the Force did nothing to change that.
He had tried to find a solution to this problem, but it was impossible, he thought of taking someone's body but his soul was too weak to do that, he could only take a living body without a soul or one weaker than his own in this state.
"Yeah, right... as if that were possible," laughed Darth Vader at the absurdity of the thought.
After the sudden wave in the Force, he was in endless darkness and could only wait to die.
Or so he thought until now.
'Strange, very strange..., I don't know for how long I have been in the darkness of the Force without feeling anything, but now I can sense that the dark side of the Force is being agitated by a living being,' thought Vader in surprise.
He did not know in whom or how it was possible to achieve such a shaking, but it was certainly responsible for the sudden wave in the Force.
Or so Darth Vader thought, only something like the wave he felt could cause the dark side of the Force to be so stirred by a single being.
He knew that not even Darth Sidious was capable of such a thing, otherwise he would have felt the presence of his master at this time, but he did not.
Now he could feel the presence of this living being that was being targeted by the dark side.
It seems that someone had done something that the dark side did not like at all and was now suffering the consequences and that is why Vader could feel it.
The dark side was responding violently against the Being responsible for this wave.
Darth Vader knew that this was his chance, perhaps his only chance if he wanted to survive.
If this Being was being consumed by the dark side, that meant it was fickle.
'Maybe... just maybe he could take his body, if...' thought Vader.
He had to at least try, he wouldn't have another chance.
So it was that Darth Vader didn't think twice and in the middle of the darkness decided to follow the dark side of the Force that was being drawn to this living being.
No matter if he could not see anything, the dark side of the force would be his guide.
Soon Darth Vader reached the source that attracted the fury of the dark side.
He could not see who or what it was, but he could feel its anger, pain, sadness, loss, and chaos, great chaos was in this living being and he decided to take advantage of it.
Darth Vader only had to follow the dark side of the Force to get to the soul of the living being and this is because his soul was being torn apart by the dark side.
The soul of this Being was being devoured by the dark side.
If Vader didn't do anything it was likely that this living being's soul would be consumed by the dark side and he could then take his body... but there was a problem with that...
"A body without a soul could remain alive?" wondered Vader.
Darth Vader did not know and would not take the risk, it may not be ideal to intervene between this soul and the dark side that is devouring it, but he had nothing to lose, this was
his only chance and to do so he had to save this soul and integrate with it to take its body.
As Vader expected, the soul of this person defended itself from being devoured by the dark side but only in a matter of minutes the dark side would consume it completely.
So it was that Darth Vader intervened and quickly integrated himself into this soul, he had already seen that the Force and therefore the dark side had a connection to him and would not attack him.
He concluded that maybe, just maybe, if his soul would merge with the soul of this body, the dark side would stop devouring it and he could take over this body.
He would have to deal with the remnants of the body's soul, but he would be in control because this body's soul was now even weaker than his own.
Finally, Darth Vader merged with the remaining living soul part of this living being.
He knew that by doing this he would not have total control, but he would still have greater control than the other living being because the dark side had left this being's soul incredibly weak and that for Vader was better than dying, he could now do something that would make Padme proud.
Darth Vader joined his soul as if it were the missing part of the other and covered it up.
His plan seemed to work as they soon began to merge and he could feel his consciousness merging with that of this living being.
Only moments after it began to integrate, the dark side of the Force automatically stopped and stopped devouring the soul, Vader's soul had overlaid the soul of this body and acted as an insulator.
It was incredibly crazy but still, it had worked, he had taken control of this body and the dark side had left it alone.
'Hmph this being should thank me for saving him..., I guess taking control of his body is only secondary considering I ended up helping him' thought Vader.
Darth Vader knew that no matter how fickle this body's soul was after suffering such consumption by the dark side of the Force, he could not completely eliminate this person's being, but the worst that could happen was that he would start to have some of this being's characteristics, nothing serious...
December 1975, Great Britain.
In the village of Cokeworth, there was a very dreary and shabby little house at the end of Spinner's End Street, this house was situated in a very depressing and unpleasant place for the vast majority of people.
In this place where the houses are made of brick, old wood, and mostly deserted with broken lampposts and dirty grey windows where they are barely distinguishable in the dark is where Severus Snape lived his childhood and his current adolescence, near this place there is also a big dirty river and an abandoned mill with a tall chimney.
In this house, Severus Snape was currently inside a small living room, where the walls were completely covered with books, mostly bound in black leather or old brown; a tattered couch, an old couch, and a rickety table were grouped in a pool of dim light cast by a candle-filled lamp hanging from the ceiling.
The place had an air of neglect as if it were not usually inhabited.
In front of a Cauldron stood a young Severus Snape:
"Damn it, why, why Lily?!"
"If only James Potter didn't exist, how good the magical world would be without such an arrogant, useless, worthless, worthless, despicable person with so much adulation."
"Just a bunch of idiots, only sucking up to him because he's good at Quidditch," said an irritated, sad, and angry sixteen-year-old Severus.
But if there was one thing Severus hated and despised James Potter for, it wasn't his exaggerated fan base or his excellent Quidditch and social skills.
No, Severus hated him for making his life a living hell at Hogwarts, along with his small entourage of friends who constantly attacked him with spells and all manner of pranks the moment he slacked off.
Severus Snape despised him for the fact that they never stood up to him fairly, it was always two or three that went against him, and worse was that he knew it was all partly to keep him away from Lily.
The funny thing is that Potter ended up succeeding in the end, leaving him in an endless emptiness and hatred, he lost everything he cared about, and he had nothing left.
Now Snape was alone in the dark, surrounded by pure darkness, he saw almost no hope of finding a way, he was alone and aimless, he needed Lily.
Severus had returned home from Hogwarts to spend the Christmas holidays alone.
He was lonely due to the recent loss of his parents in the last summer holidays and his recent separation from his best friend, Lily Evans.
Severus Snape had received an invitation from the Malfoy's to their annual winter ball and although he didn't like crowded gatherings, he had been personally invited to attend for the first time something so important as far as the inner circle of pureblood wizards was concerned.
It was quite a compliment to him and he was obviously very excited to go to this ball even though he didn't like social gatherings or balls in general.
Severus always felt a deep respect and appreciation for his friend Lucius Malfoy, so he was quite proud when he received the personal invitation engraved in gold letters stamped with the characteristic seal of House Malfoy.
Severus was glad that he was finally being considered for the first time for something so important as far as the inner circle of purebloods was concerned.
It was even the first time he had ever been invited to a meeting in his entire life, not counting the Slughorn club that Severus despised.
Severus was too much of a loner and only met with his friend Lily Evans to chat and play games or with some of his housemates who used to hang out with him because of his extraordinary skills in the dark arts or some others who used to ask him for help in different subjects.
Some talked to him out of convenience, as he was known to produce, deliver and sell potions to his housemates.
But thanks to Malfoy that invitation changed everything, it was different, he had been personally invited to an important pureblood event.
It was a great compliment to Severus as it meant that the inner circle of purebloods were recognising his abilities.
Unfortunately, however, he was unable to accept his friend Lucius Malfoy's invitation at the time.
Severus knew that if he did it was pretty sure to say that he was one step away from being part of the death eaters and Lily would never forgive him.
As much as he wanted to go, he sadly couldn't, because he knew that if he went, he would lose any chance of Lily forgiving him.
And now that she had stopped talking to him for calling her a "mudblood" in a moment of anger, he knew that at this point he couldn't make any more mistakes if he wanted her forgiveness.
And now that she had stopped talking to him for calling her a mudblood in a moment of anger, he knew that at this point he couldn't make any more mistakes if he wanted her forgiveness.
So he sadly declined the invitation with some made-up excuses, this was because he couldn't mention the fact that he wasn't going for Lily.
If he did that, he would lose all support from the Malfoy's as well as any other Noble House in the inner circle of purebloods.
Severus wanted to accept the invitation that his good friend Lucius Malfoy had surely extended to him as a token of his appreciation for his great achievements in potions and the dark arts, but he could not accept their kindness at the moment.
Lily was very much against death eaters and blood purists, all because of those damn Gryffindors who filled her head with lies.
This ball was made up of a large majority of death eaters and blood purists, so it was obvious that Lily would hate him if he joined.
As much as Severus wanted to be part of the death eaters and follow a wizard as powerful as Lord Voldemort, he couldn't risk losing Lily, he would wait until he could convince Lily that it was in her best interest to join him in Voldemort's cause.
It would not be easy, but given time, he believed he could make her understand that Lord Voldemort was the best option for the magical world and society.
If Lord Voldemort assumed control, Severus was convinced that everything he had to go through with his abusive Muggle father would never happen to any other wizard, no bloody Muggle could ever mistreat a wizard again.
He was convinced that Lord Voldemort would never let that happen again and that was why he wanted to be by his side at that moment.
But he had to be patient for now, first, he had to get Lily to forgive him and get them to talk like before, something he hadn't been able to do so far, she seemed really angry and disappointed with him, and he could swear on his magic that he hadn't meant to call her that.
He was alone in front of a lot of people, embarrassed, frustrated, angry, irritated, and sad, and all his emotions were killing him, so he ended up talking and insulting her without thinking when he saw something he didn't like in her conversation with James Potter.
It was a simple smile, but he felt so much anger at that moment that something in him snapped and he said an insult to her without thinking.
But none of that mattered now, it only mattered that Lily had broken up with him.
She didn't want to forgive him and therefore didn't want to talk to him either.
He would not give up, he would seek her forgiveness one way or another.
When Severus returned to Hogwarts from his Christmas break to finish his fifth year, even though he had recently lost his friendship with Lily, he had hoped that she would forgive him.
But with each passing day she grew colder to him, she didn't even bother to look at him now.
It really hurt him to see that nothing he did seemed to work at all, but he stood firm and kept trying.
Friday, June 16th of their fifth school year was the End of Term Party in the Great Hall.
The winning house of the House Cup had already been announced and they had also given out various prizes to the most outstanding students or those who had shown something unique.
Among them were Severus Snape, Lily Evans, and James Potter.
Severus decided to make one last attempt to receive Lily's forgiveness before returning home for the summer holidays, he needed to make things right with her.
He headed to where he had seen Lily and her friends chatting happily about the end of term.
When he finally saw her, he was predisposed to talk to her, but before he got to her he saw James bloody Potter and his group of bullies approaching her and her friends.
Severus grumbled and looked for a hidden corner to wait for them to leave, he just listened to the conversation waiting for Potter and his friends to leave so he could talk quietly to Lily and seek her forgiveness again.
A few minutes of very dull conversation passed, in which it seemed that James Potter's only goal was to convince Lily Evans to go on a date with him, much to Severus' chagrin.
He finally heard something that he hoped was either a lie or a bad dream he was having.
Severus Snape was sure that Lily couldn't stand Potter, although he occasionally saw her get too involved in his flirtations, but she always took a far out distance from him and dismissed him with indifference, after all, she always told him that she found him insufferable, obnoxious and a bully.
But today seemed to be different...
"You're all invited to my house this summer holiday!" said Potter briskly as he looked around the group and focused on Lily, analysing the progress of his proposal.
"Come on Evans, it'll be fun!" added Potter.
"I'm not interested Potter, I'm still mad at your silly, tasteless jokes" replied Lily, tossing her dark red hair over her shoulder causing it to cascade down her back like an elegant curtain.
"Besides, I have plans with Alice this summer and since the rest of us girls couldn't get together we decided to go out together," Lily added.
"Oh, no, no, Lily!" said Alice quickly.
"I had plans with Frank, you know...so...well...you know, you could just... well... you know, you could go Lily, I would be fine with that" added Alice blushing at the mention of plans with her boyfriend.
Severus cursed Alice for that, she was only complicating things.
"So, Evans, one more time wouldn't hurt, it's not like you haven't already gone to Potter's," Sirius commented sounding like he was teasing her.
Severus already knew that she and her friends had hung out at Potter's once or twice, but this time none of Lily's friends were able to go and this worried him.
Lily alone with Potter and his bullies was not a good thing.
"Right, and you actually expect me to go with you to Potter's?" asked Lily rolling her eyes at the absurdity of that proposition.
"Come on Evans, we'll have a good time!" pressed James Potter.
"Ha, nice try Potter, but no," scoffed Lily.
Out of the corner of his eye, Severus saw James give Sirius a knowing look.
"Come on Evans, a simple meal and nothing more, that's all poor James asks of you, plus we promise no pranks for two months if you agree"
"Oh come on Sirius, as if that's possible" Lily scoffed and rolled her eyes, but Severus couldn't help but catch her cheeks flushing a little at that comment.
The slightly sheepish and embarrassed way she looked at James Potter made Severus' throat tighten.
He had to remind himself that they were no longer friends and that Lily said she would never forgive him, but he still wanted to jump up and curse them all.
Lily had always told him that she thought James Potter was rude and arrogant, and she would never lie to him about something like that.
The group continued to talk, and he continued to eavesdrop, knowing that anything he wanted to have an opinion on would not be welcome, it was sad but he knew Lily wouldn't forgive him for long.
Even though Severus was sure Lily wouldn't date the Potter bully, every beat of her joking around with him still tightened the knots in his stomach.
He knew that to an outsider, someone who didn't know Lily as well as he did, their interactions could be misconstrued as light flirting.
But she had to know that she deserved better than Potter.
"Alright Potter, I agreed to just one dinner, but that's four months without pranks," Lily finally said and those were the words that broke Severus Snape that day.
He couldn't believe he was hearing that from his beloved Lily's mouth, his biggest fears of the day were confirmed.
"Yes, yes, and a thousand times yes!" exclaimed James victoriously, with a sidelong glance at Lily.
"One dinner at my house it is!" added Potter happily.
"Deal!, but only one dinner Potter, nothing more and don't try to back out of your part," said Lily a little amused by James Potter's reaction.
That was the last punch Severus Snape could get in his life because after that he felt that nothing was worth it.
He was in darkness, his whole world collapsed and all hope was lost, there was nothing left, he was hurt like never before, he would never hate Lily, he just couldn't hate her no matter how much he wanted to, but it hurt, that was for sure.
Severus felt the world and life against him, the people he hated the most, who humiliated him the most, who stripped him of everything he felt important, were the same people who were now not only friends with his beloved Lily, but they now also managed to make his nightmares come true.
'James bloody Potter!' Severus thought furiously.
Potter was the one who had stolen everything from him, now he would have dinner with Lily at his house too, his childhood friend, the most important person in his life and the one Severus had sworn to protect all his life, she would have a bloody date with that bastard James Potter.
So many women James Potter could choose from, so many admirers he had, so...
'Why?!'
'Why did Lily have to be the one he wanted to date?!'
'And why was Lily acting so strange in front of someone she supposedly couldn't tolerate!' grumbled and inwardly questioned Severus.
Severus Snape was bleeding inside, he felt like everything inside him was slowly dying.
He quickly came out of the corner where he was hiding to listen to the group, he wanted to avoid hurting himself further by listening to the conversation they were having.
But the damage was already done, no matter how much he denied it, Severus Snape knew that everything he heard was real and it was because of that very thought that he lost himself.
Once Severus Snape returned home to Hogwarts on the 17th of June for the summer holidays, what he saw on the way home made him feel like the most unfortunate person in the world, that was the last straw for Severus.
Seeing it left him completely heartbroken, he lost all hope and it was then that the darkness consumed him completely.
Once the darkness consumed Severus Snape, he became convinced that power was everything, that power would give him everything he desired, and that power would bring him out of his regrets.
Using his remaining rationality, Severus decided not to go home and rent a room at the Leaky Cauldron.
-Milky Way, Planet Earth.
-Britain, England, 18th June 1976.
Severus Snape's flat, The Leaky Cauldron, Muggle street on Charing Cross Road in London.
In one of the rooms of The Leaky Cauldron, a dark and dilapidated pub, a magical inn that serves as a gateway between the non-magical world and Diagon Alley, lay a young Severus Snape of 16 years old.
The poor boy was pale and very sweaty, seeming to be suffering from a heavy hangover.
Severus Snape opened his eyes, his now blue eyes stared at the dusty old ceiling in confusion before he understood what had happened.
"It worked!," he whispered, a flash of disbelief breaking through the cold wall he had built around himself.
"It really worked, the Force hasn't left me yet!" he exclaimed with a burning excitement.
'Who would have thought it?' Vader said to himself with a grin.
If the young man who opened his eyes now was none other than Darth Vader, he had his moments of doubt, but he managed to take this person's body.
Joining the soul of this body could have been his doom, but clearly, his worries were unfounded.
Darth Vader had lost all hope of repairing what he had done, but now he dared to hope, no, he was determined to do something, even if it meant changing the fate of the entire universe.
Just a flickering sense of excitement and relief, that he now had the chance to do something that would make his beloved Padme proud.
Yes, he would become strong enough to make Sidious pay for what he did to her, he might never be able to call himself Anakin Skywalker again, but as Darth Vader, he vowed to finish him off and leave a world where his children could live in peace.
The same Darth Vader name that took everything from him would be the one to fix his incompetence.
'Looks like everything went as planned, so now I'm in the body of...' thought Vader looking down at himself.
'A person, a young teenage human to be precise' Vader concluded as he looked at his body.
'Well, that really makes things easier for me, if I had to be some other species of intelligent life it would be more complex to adapt to their body' smiled Vader, but his smile didn't last long as he saw himself in a mirror in the room he was in.
'Well..., it looks like this body is going to need a lot of work to get in proper form, so scrawny and weak, there's not a single muscle in the whole body...' Vader analysed his new body with a grimace of disgust.
'... I suppose I shouldn't complain, something is better than nothing' sighed Vader, the important thing is that now he had a chance to avenge Padme and eliminate Sidious.
After his body died, Darth Vader had spent a lot of time cursing himself for letting himself be manipulated by Darth Sidious.
He still blamed himself for Padme's death, but he only wanted to save her and for that reason, he ended up making her die by becoming Drath Vader and it was Sidious who created Vader.
And now it would be Darth Vader who would kill Darth Sidious.
'Now I have the chance!' thought Vader with conviction as he clenched his hand, he was now willing to do whatever it took to kill him.
But first, he needed a solid plan and he needed information about the body he was in and the planet he was on.
Drath Vader sat down to meditate, then with his calm mind he analysed the situation with speed and precision, as his mind worked at full speed, he decided to search the memories of this body for everything he needed.
It was then that everything became white for Vader, everything around him was completely white...
It was like an endless white room with nothing around it.
But it wasn't long when out of nowhere, he began to vaguely see images of a child's life on a planet he had never heard of.
The pictures slowly began to become clearer and Vader could make out that he was seeing the life of a boy named Severus who lived on a planet called earth with what appeared to be humans who wielded the Force but they called themselves 'wizards' and used wands to cast 'spells or magic'.
'Primitives...' concluded Vader, only primitive and outlying planets still called the Force magic or sorcery.
As the images passed, Vader found that these memories were very vivid, but he knew that this would pass as his soul had integrated with what was left of this body.
Vader saw and experienced the 16 years of this young man's life, every single thing Severus Snape went through from birth to his 16th year.
He even got to feel things as if he were really Severus, from his love for his mother, his contempt for his father, his interest in dark magic since he found an old book of his mother's that talked about different spells, his bitterness at knowing he couldn't use these spells without a wand, thus he couldn't do anything to help his mother with his abusive father.
Vader even felt all the pain that Severus felt throughout his life, he came to feel that himself had spent those 16 years of life as he experienced them as if he were Severus and not Vader...
As if he had lived two lives.
Already reaching the last memories of the young Severus, Vader began to feel the sadness, irritation, frustration, anger, and disappointment of the young Severus.
He felt that little by little the despair, the fear, the hatred consumed him, and the dark side seemed to be strong in young Severus.
All this happened when Vader saw the last memories of Severus and the supposed date that Lily Evans and James Potter had agreed to have along with what Severus witnessed after returning home from Hogwarts.
Vader watched as Lily stood next to Potter in the square where she and Severus used to play together as children.
Ever since an angry Severus had unthinkingly called Lily a 'mudblood', she had never spoken to him again, never forgave him no matter what he did and that hurt a Severus who was already corrupted by the dark side too much.
'Ridiculous...' thought Vader, he had done so many bad things and Padme had always forgiven him, she had always trusted him, she was the light that brought him out of the darkness.
With this young Severus, the situation seemed to be the same, too bad this Lily wasn't like his Padme.
It was because of what he saw that day that Severus finally ended up plunging into despair and darkness.
Seeing the person he loved the most in the world next to the person he hated the most, after more than half a year of trying his hardest to get her to forgive him to no effect, was like having his heart ripped out and spat out like trash.
Vader felt all this as if he were Severus himself.
It was logical for him to feel that way, finding the person he loved most in the world with the person he hated and loathed the most.
No doubt Severus was never lucky in life, the only good thing that happened to him was Lily Evans and maybe Lucius Malfoy which is very debatable.
But even though life wasn't good to him, he always moved on, but he had never had a situation like the one he witnessed at Hogwarts and back home.
It hurt Severus very much to see his beloved Lily standing next to James Potter's bully chatting and joking around in the place where she and he used to hang out when they were young before going to Hogwarts.
Plus James Potter was one of the biggest reasons why everything was ruined between Lily and him.
It was then that suddenly, everything started to go dark for Vader.
He could no longer see the vivid memories of Severus' life or the white room.
Everything was completely dark as it was when that wave appeared in the Force.
It was only a few moments before Vader felt a definite and very strange tension throughout his being.
This was because Vader was merging completely with all that remained of the young Severus.
Both Vader and Severus were like two translucent spheres that had merged and absorbed each other until they blended completely and formed a single sphere again.
It was in this process that Vader felt how all of Severus' memories were now his own reality.
Vader lived every moment with clarity, he experienced it personally, and it was a complete blending of both of their lives.
He was now in Severus Snape's body, but the reality was that now it was no longer him, but a combination of him and Severus.
Suddenly, the young Severus, who was meditating, raised his head and opened his eyes and for only a few seconds they flashed a blue glow, but instantly his eyes returned to their former cold, dark black.
He had a look of surprise, confusion, and reflection.
Sixteen-year-old Severus Snape opened his eyes like a new person, but he was no longer Snape or Skywalker or Vader.
The look in his eyes no longer belonged only to the original owner of this body nor to Vader, he was now two people in one.
He was in shock trying to understand his situation, he did not expect this outcome.
He now knew that he was no longer just Drath Vader because he felt that he was also Severus Snape.
'I don't understand... it's like I'm literally two different people... How can I be both Vader and Severus, it doesn't make any sense...' he asked himself in frustration.
His whole situation was very confusing now, but he calmed down, he couldn't go into negation now, he had to understand and accept that from now on he was both Vader and Severus.
'Both lives I lived are real and are part of me, they are what make up my self...' he said to himself.
So it was that he spent some time meditating and understanding his situation until he had calmed down completely.
Although he had calmed down after understanding his whole situation, everything about him was currently a complete mess inside.
His emotions were a jumbled mess, and his mind was still sorting through the two lives he had lived.
But clearly, he felt more like he was Anakin Skywalker or rather Darth Vader even though he knew he was also Severus Snape.
Only one thing was certain for him and that was that the feelings, emotions, attitudes, and other aspects that shaped both of them were now strongly ingrained in him.
He now preserved all these attitudes, feelings, and other aspects related to both souls because of their union as one in Severus Snape's body.
Both souls merged into a new one, so he is no longer just Severus Snape or Darth Vader.
He will still be Severus Snape in body, but in mind and feelings he will be the sum of Vader and Severus.
He still thought a lot about his mother and Padme, and all their mistakes, pain, and frustration.
He wanted revenge on Darth Sidious for everything he did to him.
But just as he felt all of this, he also felt all of Severus' pain and frustration.
'Pathetic..., two truly sad and miserable lives, but in both I was... pathetic' he said to himself..., pathetic' he said to himself with a smirk of annoyance and disappointment.
'I suppose I should keep the name of this body... Severus Snape, although Darth Vader feels much better..., well for now let's leave it at that'
'Hmmm... Well, I'm currently 16 years old physically and more than double mentally. Yesterday I rented a room to stay in the pub for a few days when I suddenly started to feel very dizzy and seemed to faint...'
'... Yes..., that's when the dark side started to consume me and moments later I as Vader stepped in and... well... now I am the result of that' he thought amused, to him, he was still both Vader and Severus.
He knew that his plan as Vader was to take Severus' body, but he overestimated what is called the merging of the two souls, something he as Severus would not have done.
He as Vader was more of a man of action and as Severus was quite a thinker, it was amusing to him to think that he was now both people.
'Strange... but actually not entirely bad' he thought with a slight smile, a Gryffindor and a Slytherin in the same person, a strange combination.
Now he could work out everything his two egos had wanted so badly to do in their lives.
With Severus Snape's total of 16 years of experience and Darth Vader's 23 years of experience, he could do great things.
