Hey everyone, long time no see! So...I'll be honest, I rushed through the first time, so I'm reworking it. Let's see how this goes *fingers crossed*!

Chapter 1:
This was their territory.
They had free game around here.
Nobody could take away what was rightfully granted to them.
No one knew the truth, and as long as the stone was kept hidden away,
There'd be no more bloodshed.
"Pinned ya!"
"Hey, let me up!"
Out in the warm fields of the Pride Lands, the prince was playing with his best friends and cousins; his best friends from the Mountain Lands were also staying over, making their usual games even more enjoyable. Like always, Simba was beaten by his best friend, Nala, a cream lioness cub who was titled the "pinning queen" by her friends, even her other half beneath her.
"You can't beat the queen, Simba," the blue-eyed cub teased, letting him get up.
Getting on his feet, Simba grumbled as he dusted himself off. "Whatever."
"Yeah, go Nala!" Kula cheered, headbutting her.
"You rock, girly," Tama praised her.
While the lioness cubs applauded Nala, the lion cubs went over to reassure Simba.
"Don't worry, you'll get her next time," Malka reassured him.
"Yeah, keep your head up man!" Tojo encouraged, despite not participating in the games.
Simba's signature grin returned. "Thanks guys!"
"Besides..."
Kovu set his eyes on his twin. "Nala's the one holding the team together!"
Vitani immediately stepped up after the remark. "And just what's that supposed to mean?"
Kovu feigned innocence. "Oh nothing, I just mean that if it wasn't for Nala you guys would've been trash-"
"Wanna bet?" Vitani cut him off.
"Bring your worse, sissy!" Kovu cried.
His creamy brown littermate lunged, and the siblings went at it.
"Whoop him, 'Tani!" Kiara cried.
The twins tussled some more, fueled by the cheers by their friends. With a slam to the ground, Vitani blew her brother a raspberry.
"So, who's trash?" Vitani asked once again.
"Fine, we're trash!" Kovu cried.
His twin flashed a cheeky smile. "And don't you forget it, baby bro."
She triumphally stepped off of him and the chocolate brown cub wasted no time getting up.
"Wanna play another round?" Simba asked the others.
Vitani frowned, shaking her head. "This is getting boring."
"Yeah, let's do something else," Kopa agreed with his best friend.
Silence filled the air as the cubs though of other ways to occupy themselves.
"I'm gonna play with my birds," Tojo announced, making his way to a nearby tree.
"I'm going swimming," Tama also spoke up, making her way to the waterhole.
Nala got up as well. "I'll go with you."
Simba watched as Tama waited for Nala to catch up, before chatting with her; while Simba didn't dislike Tama, he had to admit it was a bit annoying how Nala seemed to be drifting apart from him...
"I'm starving, I wanna find a snack!" Kula cried.
"Yeah, I'm pretty hungry," Chumvi agreed.
As if on cue, his stomach growled, along with Kopa's and Malka's.
"Well, don't keep us in suspense food queen," the Mountain Lands prince teased, "lead us to the meat."
Leading the trio of males away, Kovu turned to his partner in crime.
"Tag, you're it!"
Brown eyes widening, Kiara raced after him. "Hey!"
Watching her twin and close friend chase each other, Simba turned to the remaining two.
"Okay, what do we do now?" he asked the duo.
Beleco and Vitani looked to each other, then back at Simba.
"I don't know," Beleco truthfully answered, turning back to Vitani, "what do you say?"
Vitani thought for a moment. "Well...we can..."
The lightbulb dimmed, and her ears lowered. "I don't know either."
"Let's just stay here," Simba suggested.
The trio flopped back to the ground, figuring out what to talk about.
"What do you guys think the lionesses will hunt today?" Vitani questioned.
"Definitely wildebeest," Beleco answered.
"I don't know, I think gazelle," Simba interjected.
Vitani thought about it a little longer, before deciding on her answer.
"What if they're getting buffalo this time?"
Simba and Beleco looked to each other, before looking back at Vitani.
"Buffalo?" Simba teased, "good one, 'Tani,"
"Hey, it could happen!" Vitani protested.
"I mean, it could, but why would it?" Beleco let out between giggles.
A thought crossed Vitani's head, and a mischievous grin spread across her face; one that would easily put her father to shame.
"Okay."
Simba and Beleco stopped their snickering, and watched the now rising Vitani.
"If I'm right, then you guys...have to spend a night in the Elephant Graveyard," Vitani stated.
"Well, since you guys will obviously lose," Simba answered, now on all fours as well, "you guys have to..."
He paused to think. A grin that resembled Vitani's came across his face.
"Drink from the Outlands water."
"Gross!" Beleco cried.
Vitani just shrugged. "I won't have to worry about that."
Beleco jumped to her paws. "If I win, you guys have to give Kula your guys's fills."
The cousins gasped.
"No way!" they cried.
Beleco just smirked and put a paw out. "Do we have a deal?"
Vitani and Simba stared at one another, before placing their paws on hers. Glancing up, they grinned madly at each other.
"Deal."
My ears work. Did she just forget about that as well?
In a trail leading to the waterhole, an auburn furred lioness with ruby red eyes was stalking around; her name was Chipo, the middle child of Scar and Zira. Despite her "status", she wasn't exactly...the most popular. But that's a discussion for another day.
She brutally hit a rock that was in her way, not feeling her frustration stay down.
"Annoying little bitch," she quietly snarled, "can't ever just mind her own fucking business!"
Taking a few deep breaths, she tried to calm herself down.
"It's fine, it's fine, you'll be fine."
While not completely erasing her anger, it did seem to calm her down; not knowing what else to do, she slumped onto the grass.
"What the hell is her deal anyway?" she asked aloud, "and why did she even bring me along?"
The hunting disaster from the Mountain Lands lions' first visit was still burned in her memory, and it seemed like her conscious sided with the little shits that brought her in the first place; the two were Mila and Penda, better known as Dotty and Spotty, thanks to Nuka.
Just thinking about her big brother made her firey all over again; despite their age gap, they had been close growing up, but of course even he viewed her differently now. It didn't help that Mila, his little friend from the Mountains Lands, looked at her as inferior. What did he see in her?
She's so stuck-up and rude. Confidence and conceit are two different things; clearly she doesn't have the brains to know that though. What's the point in having a pretty face if you're just going to be a piece of shit on the inside? Well, at least it was just Mila I had to deal with; Penda...gosh she's a fucking cunt.
That little thought made her snicker to herself. Getting up, she decided to make her way to the waterhole, praying to the Great Royals that she didn't run into any of the three on her way. To her luck, it was only Nala and Tama. Upon seeing her, the two perked up.
"Hey, Chi-Chi!" Tama called out.
"Hi!" Nala seconded.
She could never really be in a bad mood around the cubs, especially her baby cousin and siblings.
"Hey, Tami, hey, Nal'," she greeted with a slight grin.
Unfortunately, she often underestimated the cubs' intelligence.
"What's wrong, Chi'?" Tama questioned.
Chipo drank a bit of water before sitting down by the cubs.
"The termite twins again?" Tama asked.
Chipo chuckled. "Yeah, them. Well, more like the termite sister; Penda didn't come this time."
Tama rolled her brown eyes, puffing out her tuft. "Don't worry about it, you're way cooler than those jerks; they're more like jackals."
Nala and Chipo laughed.
"Yeah, you're the coolest!" Nala agreed, "plus, you and Ayana are the only older ones that don't find us annoying."
Chipo smiled at the mere mention of Ayana; to put it in simplest terms, she really lived up to her name. Well, maybe not the flower part...
"Speaking of Ayana, did she come with you guys?" Chipo asked Tama.
Tama frowned, shaking her head. "She's coming in a day or two; she hurt her paw."
Mentally cursing, Chipo got up and looked back down at the lioness cubs.
"Well, thanks you two," Chipo voiced, "I can always count on you guys."
"Of course, you're my cousin!" Tama voiced, reminding her of something, "Oh yeah! Have you seen 'Tani? Is she still in the fields?"
Chipo thought back, before shrugging. "I didn't see her, but I do know she wanted to hang out with her only girl cousin, so go find her."
"Yeah, let's go!" Nala agreed, climbing out the pool.
Once Tama got out, she shook herself off.
"I'll find them first!"
Nala raced after her. "Hey!"
As the cubs raced off, Chipo shook her head, letting out some chuckles.
"Your curls(1) are coming in nice."
Nuka, the firstborn of Scar and Zira, lounged on a rock near the back of Pride Rock. Mila, a lioness from the Mountain Lands, lied next to him, toying with his curls; she had brown(2) fur, beautiful brown-gray eyes, and small freckles under her right eye, earning her the nickname, "Dotty".
Rolling his eyes, Nuka chuckled. "Great, now you're going to bother me even more."
"You adore me, thank you very much," Mila teased.
"Tch, okay."
Nuka rolled over, but hadn't realized how close to the edge he was; his tan body abruptly became one with the floor.
"Ow, damn."
Snickers from above him got his attention, and he glanced up to see Mila snickering down at him.
"Oh, that's funny to ya?" Nuka asked, getting up.
Mila paused her laughter and smirked. "No, I laugh when I'm sad."
Nuka smirked as well; two could definitely play this game.
"Oh yeah? Well I guess you're gonna be in hysterics!"
With no warning, he knocked Mila off the rock and the two engaged on a playful tussle. Despite his lean figure, he put up quite a battle with Mila, who was known as one of the best hunters in the Mountain Lands.
Nuka managed to pin the lioness beneath him, and he smugly stared down at her.
"Still find it funny?" he taunted.
Mila smirked up at him, before giving a small lick to his cheek. Taking advantage of his confusion, she swapped their places.
"Now I do" was her answer.
The moment she allowed Nuka to get up, he rose to his feet and grumbled, "You just got lucky."
Mila rose an eyebrow. "Sorry what'd ya say?"
"Oh, nothing~"
Mila let out a playful growl and was ready to pounce, when louder roars got their attention.
"Wonder what they brought us this time," Nuka said.
With a smirk, Mila shoved Nuka. "Well, we won't know if we stay out here any longer. Come on!"
Snickering, he raced after her, completely prepared to devour some meat.
Having nothing better to do, Rafiki was in the midst of reorganizing his herbs. Nobody had came to him for any trouble today, so he had most of the time in the world to relax. Not to mention, with the new additions to his medicines, it was practically mandatory. Putting the last batch of medicines away, he sighed in content.
"Ah, dat's better."
He went to relax in another part of his tree, feeling the breeze of the fading afternoon. He closed his eyes and sighed in content when the wind soon intensified; so much so to the point where one of his fruits had fallen and broken.
"Ah what now!"
Begrudgingly getting up, he neared the fruit. Upon approaching it, a softer breeze blew around his ears. Within the breeze he could hear whispers...
Which sounded quite a bit like warnings.
Dipping his hand into the red liquid, it was as if something took over and his fingers began to make a picture. This went on for about five minutes, before he took a step back to analyze what he had done. The longer he stared, the wider his eyes got...
"No...dis can't be right."
The breeze came back stronger, as if angered by Rafiki's doubts.
"Okay, alright, I trust you! But dis...dis is bad..."
Staring at the painting a bit longer, Rafiki wiped the painting away.
"Dere's no way dis will end good; dere will be bloodshed."
"Wow, this is awkward."
The evening sky had made itself welcome. While the other cubs went off and did their own thing, Simba, Vitani, and Beleco had remembered their bet.
"I'll say," Vitani agreed, "I mean, zebra? Why didn't any of us think that!"
"Well, I'm stuffed, I'm heading back to the den," Beleco announced, walking away, "See ya, guys!"
As she left, the cousins stared at one another.
"Well...I know we both lost, but I kinda liked the Elephant Graveyard idea," Simba admitted.
Vitani's purple-blue eyes widened, before a mischievous grin made itself home on her muzzle.
"C'mon, let's go!" Vitani declared, grabbing Simba's paw.
"Wait, our parents are gonna freak!" Simba protested.
"So we'll get permission, duh!" Vitani stated.
Putting the pieces together, the golden prince followed after his cousin. Upon reaching Pride Rock, they saw their parents conversing with each other.
"Mom, Dad!"
"Mom, Daddy!"
The royal pairs paused their conversations to give the cubs their undivided attention.
Scar rose an eyebrow. "And just what has you two so eager?"
"Can 'Tani and I camp out in our tree?" Simba begged.
"Please, please, please!" Vitani cried right after.
The royal couples eyed one another.
"Well..." Sarabi began.
"Please, Auntie!" Vitani begged.
"Yeah, come on, Mom!" Simba added in.
Zira couldn't help but laugh at the two. "Okay, sure."
Simba and Vitani cheered, bouncing up and down.
"Alright, you two," Scar interjected, "good grief, must you two ruin my hearing?"
The tufted lioness cub smirked. "That's 'cause you're old, Daddy."
Bursting into laughter, the cousin duo ran away, leaving the rulers and his mate snickering.
"Little heathens," Scar muttered, though he found his daughter's and nephew's cheeky behaviors quite amusing.
"It's getting late, should we gather the other cubs?" Sarabi asked her mate.
Staring at the sky, Mufasa shook his head. "Not just yet; it's still fairly early."
Satisfied with his answer, the four resumed their initial conversation, passing the time by until it grew darker.
Okay, not too different, but I like what we have so far, and I LOVEEE Chipo's character; I'm seriously so excited to write her!
