There was a quaint little town known as Peach Creek, which housed a Cul-De-Sac where three friends who all shared the same name lived together and had many misadventures. Their names were Ed, Edd, and Eddy.
The trio's days were spent trying to get rich by coming up with all sorts of crazy scams in order to buy their favorite candy; Jawbreakers. Often, these schemes fell relatively flat yet the trio persevered in their endeavors. Soon, they ultimately managed to earn acceptance from their neighbors and all seemed happy for the three lovable adolescents.
However, a new adventure will begin for the Eds and their friends, both old and new...but how about we get introduced to the new friends first?
Young Benjamin Crochi never knew his real family. All he knew was that he had a weird symbol on his palm that resembled a star mixed with a crescent moon and that he had magical powers that could let him do many amazing things.
With no family to turn to, Ben learned from those who were willing to help him on his way. A street gang helped him learn how to fight, a kind old man taught him how to read and write, a loving couple taught him about compassion and helping others, some schoolkids taught him about friendship, and a traveling magician helped teach him how to stay on his toes no matter what.
As he grew older, Ben had many teachers, but never a family to truly call his own. He was grateful for those who had helped him throughout his life but they all had their own lives to live and he needed to learn about where he came from. To that end, he traveled the world until he took a shipping freighter to Peach Creek.
He met the Eds there, who welcomed him in with open arms. Seeing as he had no home to turn to, the Eds and the rest of their friends in the Cul-De-Sac worked together to provide him a decent shelter to live in. Ben was grateful for the kindness and soon settled into living at Peach Creek and joining the kids on their adventures.
Christian Wright had lived a relatively normal life. He had caring parents, good grades in school, the usual thang.
Well, as usual as someone with behavior similar to an average cartoon character could get anyways. Because of this, not many people would be his friend, resulting in him being quite the lonely child.
Despite this though, he found happiness in Yu-Gi-Oh after watching a live duel one day. Ever since then, he's had a feeling that he belonged in the world of dueling, so he started collecting cards and snagged himself a Duel Disk, and began to wander, looking for potential challenges, and maybe making a few friends along the way.
His travels eventually brought him to settle at Peach Creek, where he met the Eds, Ben, and everyone else within the Cul-De-Sac, finally earning the friendship he wanted ever since he was a kid.
Rina Maria Corzin Sánchez grew up with her grandmother and her four siblings (three of them being half-siblings) in Tamaulipas, Mexico, in a conflictive city where crime, delinquency, and corruption are the daily bread.
Many of her family members possessed supernatural powers, which they used for good by taking up jobs either as heroes or various professionals.
Her mother abandoned her and her younger sister when she was eight years old, and years later her father, a hero, would soon die at the hands of a villain when she was fourteen. This situation, of course, heavily affected both her and her siblings.
Despite these shortcomings, however, she had a happy life, mainly due in no small part to her grandmother raising her with love and affection, teaching her the importance of work, justice, and love. This, in turn, caused her and her siblings to go through all kinds of adventures and misadventures thanks to their powers, while also learning to control them and become heroes under the collective wings of their uncles and aunts.
However, when she came of age, wanting to find her place in the world, she left Mexico for the United States. Here she visited many towns and cities, meeting many nice and unpleasant people alike, but she still couldn't find a place to settle down.
That is until she arrived at Peach Creek, where she met the Eds and their friends, who turned out to be rather nice people. Initially, she was just passing through the neighborhood, but after a few days, she got along well with them all, resulting in her deciding to stay. A decision that to this day is still proud of, as she had found some amazing friends.
Junior was… a strange case. Many have seen her on the street, but nobody ever had the chance to get to know her on a more personal level. She had Toon Force, and she had this strange obsession with the concept of multiple timelines. And if one were to describe her, it'd be that she wouldn't hesitate to try something reckless and commit too many crimes.
While her past is left shrouded in mystery, she does enjoy the mundane aspects of life since she claimed that her past lives were a bit too hectic.
On a complete whim, she rode a motorcycle (that was most likely stolen) straight to Peach Creek. Sure, she did end up stalking Chris for a while, but she was much more interested in the monsters inside his cards than the man himself.
For this, she "bought" one of the houses within the Cul-De-Sac and made it her own temporary living quarters, hoping to stake out Chris and his monsters within its walls in seclusion. Unfortunately, as is tradition whenever a new neighbor comes along, the other residents want to know them a little better.
Initially annoyed by the constant unwanted visitors, Junior soon relented and let them inside her house. What she didn't expect from this was how these same people would eventually end up becoming her friends, including Chris.
It was early dawn outside. The clouds glowed pink, yet the sun hadn't risen yet.
Two young teenage boys were working together on putting the finishing touches on a working miniature jet. The first boy was quite lanky and had golden yellow hair, baby blue eyes, a tomato red t-shirt, purple shorts, long red socks, light blue shoes, and a black beanie hat.
The second had fair Caucasian skin, light-brown eyes with a small dot in the bottom right area of his left iris, and short black hair. He wore a grey t-shirt with the Smash Bros logo on it, an Old Navy jacket worn on top of it, wearing only the right half while the hood rested on his left shoulder like a pauldron and the rest of it draped behind him like a cape, black shorts, and white sneakers. He also had his trusty Duel Disk, a small red box with an opening for him to insert his deck into and a touch screen, on his left wrist.
"You think this will fit everyone?" The first boy wearing the beanie hat asked while cleaning his hands with a rag. This was Eddward Marion Skyrise, known by his friends as 'Double-D' due to the two Ds in his name.
"Yup. A grand total of 13 seats for our friends and us!" The second boy beamed. His name was Christian Wright, or just Chris by his friends.
"That's good. I just hope everyone is getting ready." Double-D said as he took out his phone and speed-dialed his fellow Eds.
A boy is sound asleep in his circular bed, having ended up falling asleep while getting ready to board the plane. He had a yellow t-shirt with a red vertical stripe, a purple collar, light blue jeans, red shoes, and pinkish skin. His hair was bright blue and done up in three asymmetrical stalks.
This was Eddy Skipper McGee, the de-facto leader of the Eds and the brainchild behind many of their infamous scams.
His clothes and some other belongings in his room were packed up in suitcases. His phone soon rang to wake him up.
"...Hello?" Eddy groaned as he picked up the phone and answered.
"Eddy, the plane is finished and we're waiting for you to arrive!" Double-D's voice came on the other end, making Eddy's chocolate brown eyes snap open as he sprang out of bed.
"Alright, I'll be out in a jiffy!"
In a basement bedroom, another boy was sprawled out under his covers with his hand on his cellphone which was charging on his nightstand.
The boy was quite tall with yellowish-tanned skin, freckles, feathery auburn hair, and a unibrow. His choice of attire was a green jacket, a red and white striped undershirt, light purple jeans, and black boots. This was Edwin Horace Alba, or Ed, for short.
He was soon awoken by his phone vibrating in his hand, springing up straight out of bed and opening his eyes to reveal they were a bright emerald green as he answered his phone instantly, holding it to his ear.
"Private Do-Not-Enter is ready for duty, chief!"
"Yo Ed! Everyone's already up and getting ready for our flight. You should get ready too!" Chris said over the phone.
"You got it, Caw!" Ed said before hanging up. He looked around to see his belongings had already been packed ahead of time. Scooping everything up with his immense strength, Ed bolted out of his house, leaving a giant hole in the shape of him and his luggage as he did so.
"Crapcrapcrapcrapcrap!" Cursed one Ben Crochi as he finished packing up all of his things, having to telekinetically pack them all since he was doing so many things at once. Yeah, remember when we said Ben had powers? This is one of them.
With everything finished, he gathered up all his luggage and quickly bolted out of the little cabin the Cul-De-Sac Kids had made for him when he first arrived five years ago. Sighing sadly, he could only give it one last look.
"Goodbye, cabin."
At speeds faster than the eye can track, Ben blitzed off in the direction of where the plane his friends had built was being made.
Rina was currently packing away the last of her things as she was on the phone with her grandma. Currently, she was wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans, brown boots, and a poncho with red and blue stripes.
"I still can't believe that this is happening, grandma. Yes, I know to be careful when I get there, and yes, I promise I'll call you when I'm there. Okay, love you too." Rina said to her grandmother on the phone in Spanish before hanging up and closing her suitcase.
With a deep excited breath, she left her house and made her way to the plane.
Walking over to Junior's house, Double-D knocked on the door and called out to her.
"Junior, we finished the plane. Just wanted to let you know in case you are ready."
No response though.
"Junior?"
Slowly and cautiously, Double-D opened the door and ended up seeing a rather… interesting sight, to say the least. What he saw was a half-girl, half-rabbit entity with Caucasian skin, blue fur, brown hair, and yellow eyes (her eyes tended to change color based on her emotions), wearing a blue jacket with yellow trim, much like a certain mascot for a company that specialized in vaults, a plain-white T-Shirt stained with red underneath it, gray pants with a hole cut out for her bunny tail, and her favorite sneakers, which were faded green due to the constant use.
She also had a noose in her hands and was staring at Double-D in shock due to his sudden appearance. After a few seconds of awkward silence between the two, the latter slowly closed the door and was about to leave, only for Junior to suddenly burst through the wall screaming.
"DON'T JUST PRETEND LIKE YOU DIDN'T SEE ME!"
Double-D, of course, freaked out and ran back to the plane as fast as his little legs could carry him.
"So, are we ready?" Chris asked,
"Seems like it. We're just waiting for Eddy, Ed, Ben, Rina, and Junior." Double-D said before shuddering. "And trust me, Junior is on her way..."
"Nincompoops! They are late for our trip to the special school for talented individuals such as ourselves, yes?" Barked a boy with tanned skin, navy blue hair, a unibrow, a yellow t-shirt with a red horizontal stripe, light blue baggy farm pants, and orange farm shoes. This was Rolf Yvorik, the resident foreign kid who had all sorts of bizarre and fascinating customs.
"HEY, PARTY PEOPLE!" Junior shouted, appearing in a flash of light, doing a flip in mid-air, and landing on her feet.
"Lo Siento Mucho! Here I am!" Rina said, running in as well, taking deep breaths after stopping.
"I MADE IT!" Ben gasped, severely out of breath as he dropped all of his luggage and fell flat on his face after arriving.
"Yo, what's up everybody?" Eddy said, carrying his luggage towards the plane and tossing it in the open bottom, which served as the trunk.
"Hiya, guys!" Ed said as he arrived next, tossing everything he had into the bottom of the jet as well.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, our flying ticket is complete!" Double-D said as he stood in the cockpit.
"HOORAY!" Ed shouted out in a happy voice.
A month or so ago, The Eds, Rolf, Ben, Chris, Rina, and Junior had received an invitation from one of the most prestigious schools in the whole world; Union Academy. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity didn't come naturally and the gang was happy to accept. However, to avoid paying for plane tickets, Double-D and Chris decided to put their skills into making their own plane.
"Well, gang, this is it! The next chapter in our lives!" Ben said as he got up after regaining his lost stamina, Rina helping him to his feet.
"Alright everyone, quick check!" Chris said walking from outside the plane. "Luggage and clothes and everything else?"
"Check!"
"All electronics charged?"
"Check!"
"Got money?"
"For the frickin' first time!" Eddy said with glee, giggling impishly at his fat wallet full of cash.
"All of our parents gave us plenty to use for the trip," Double-D said.
"Oh yeah. I almost forgot about that whole high-budget thing." Chris said, pressing a button on his Duel Disk in order to extend and unfold its blade, as well as check and see if it was loaded with his chosen deck. Along with that, he checked his hip to see a large double-barreled hunting shotgun with sawn-off barrels in a holster. "And with that, I have my trusty Duel Disk and my Force-A-Nature with me."
"Paint Brush and Bucket here!" Junior chuckled, holding out a paintbrush and a bucket that seemed to be full of multi-colored paint.
"Good, that's everything. Everyone, please form a neat and orderly line into the plane." Double-D said as he gestured for everyone to board the plane now.
"I'm surprised the Kankers aren't here to try and kidnap or join us," Eddy commented. "Not that I'm complainin' or anything."
"That is because harvesting human souls are against the rules, Eddy!" Ed replied
"What?"
"Gravy!"
The kids all got on the plane and took their seats, Double-D, Chris, and Ben manning the cockpit.
"Comfortable seats!" Ed said flopping down in a seat.
"Up, up, and away!" Ed cheered, holding his hands up.
"Let us send this flying contraption into the skies already!" Rolf demanded impatiently.
"Are you ready, fellas?" Double-D yelled with a smile.
"To Union Academy, we go!" Everyone else cheered back.
"Hit it, Double-D!" Eddy ordered.
"Launch!" Ben said.
"Launch!" Rina cheered, waving a pair of flags.
"Launch!" Junior said, giving a soldier's salute.
"Launch!" Chris finished, giving a thumbs-up.
Double-D flipped the switch and the stairs and door closed and the plane started speeding down the stem of the Cul-De-Sac, everyone holding on tightly to their seats before reaching a ramp and launching into the sky and over the outskirts of the town.
"LIFT OFF!" Eddy shouted while being forced back into his seat
"Ladies and Gentlemen, Elvis has left the building!" Junior shouted.
Double-D looked out the cockpit window to see the Cul-De-Sac disappearing over the horizon as they got farther and farther away from it. He couldn't help but shed a single tear, especially when he saw Kevin, Nazz, Sarah, Jimmy, Johnny, and Plank waving farewell, having managed to wake up to see them off.
"It looks like this is the last time we'll be seeing home for a while."
Devil Dragon Stand Knight A/N:
The original Dreamworld Paradox is gone because I had a severe disagreement with Enriks-Da-Writer that ultimately proved the final nail in the coffin which ended our friendship. Now, it's just Chris and me now but we will do our best to make sure this remake is better than the original!
Next Time: Arriving With A Crash Landing!
Caw-zrs6 A/N:
Yeah, things uh, things kind of got a little, shall we say, fucky. But not to worry, they are working on fixing their friendship back up to how it was before, and while I'm sure some of you must be tired of seeing this story get rebooted once again, let me tell you that third time's the charm. As shown above, there's a new starting lineup of characters, but along with that, there's going to be new faces, new adventures, and just a whole bunch of new shit. So stay tuned for that.
