The Missing Sun
Prologue
The sun shined brightly in the clear blue sky as the birds glide across the air singing their morning song.
Jogging down the street wearing a yellow sleeveless shirt with matching shorts Apollo smiled. He waved to a few neighbors who waved right back. Putting in his ear buds he continued jogging down the street.
Women and men dropped what they were doing when he came on by. The sight of his reddish brown hair and sea blue eyes along with his chiseled abs made all the mortals fall for him.
Apollo shrugged his shoulders and kept on jogging because to him this was normal. But as he came to a stop at a crosswalk he turned to see a woman with black hair and jasmine green eyes. He would have been fine if her eyes held a sense of desire like everyone else's, but they held a look of disgust instead.
Even though her stares were off putting Apollo forced himself to shake it off as he crossed the street. He had plans today and he couldn't let anything keep him from them.
But the more he jogged the more he saw that woman's face. From across the street to the windows of various shops she wouldn't leave him alone. From a simple jog to a full fledged run Apollo needed to get away from her.
Yet no matter how fast he ran those jasmine green eyes would always follow. It was as if they were bored right into his very soul.
But Apollo kept running faster and faster. He smiled when he looked around and noticed the woman's face was gone. He was free of those eyes or at least that's what he thought.
The moment he turned the corner he ran into something hard. Stumbling back he looked up to see a person in a black hooded robe. With in seconds his arms were restrained. Apollo struggled to get free but he couldn't for their grip of the two robe people on either side of him were too tight. Which was strange for he was a God, this should be easy but it wasn't.
The third cloak person in front of him removed their hood. Apollo's eyes widen for it was the jasmine green eyed woman from before.
"Who are you?" he asked.
"All will be revealed in due time." The woman replied.
Before another word could be said they all disappeared and just like that a great shift hit the world. The once bountiful sunlight was gone.
