Laughing filled the air as people danced and smiled, children danced and sang, teens pestered and jocked and adults gossiped and murrmered. Shining hazel eyes blinked in surprise and laughter filled the air.

A smile graced her lips as she looked at her brother who was telling a story to children with wide eyes. He talked about vikings and dragons as he showed pictures on his phone, mystifying the children. Kids spoke out in question about all the different dragons, why did they all look so different and how can someone tame a dragon?

She spoke up no glancing at her brother as she began to talk of a boy who fought fate and tamed a dragon. Of how a dragon taught another boy how to forgive and how together people and dragons were stronger.

A small voice spoke up, saying that wasn't the story. That what they told wasn't true and the stories had been different, that he saw the movie causing the other children to come to agreement. Questions sprang from young minds asking why they told the story differently. Both teens glanced at each other before they both spoke, "Because we lived it."

Nico growled as something dug into her side and when she rolled over to get away from it something crunched under her causing her eyes to flutter open. Green Assaulted her eyes along with a bright light and she blinked in confusion.

This was not her room and she was definitely not dreaming. Quickly she shot up or at least tried for she stumbled and fell back down. 'What the hell is going on?' She asked herself.

Trying to focus she noticed something didn't feel right or actually everything didn't feel right. Slowly she looked at herself and she froze. Instead of the hands she expected to see there were paws lying in front of her face. Scaly purple paws with black claws.

Her eyes widened as she stared at them and she willed the left paw to rise and it did. Quickly she placed it down on the ground. Then she turned her head towards the rest of her body. She had a mane on the top side of her neck and black wings and a set of two black rows of spikes down her back. She had a long tail with sets of fins and the base, midsection and end of her tail. Her eyes widened as she recognized this body of that of the fan made dragon the Briskwind Boltren. The dragon was the ancestor of both the furries and Skrill.

Obviously the species were extinct, but here she was in all her now dragon glory. She was probably even more rare than the Night Furry. And she doubted that anyone knew what she was if they saw her. She sucked in her breath and glanced around, she was in some kind of wooded area. The trees had green leaves just starting to fade into yellows and oranges.

Steadily she lifted herself onto her four paws and carefully she took a step forward with some ease. It was like crawling in one's hands and knees but instead it was paws. Her chest heaved as she started to walk in a random direction. As she did so her mind wondered.

"Was this a dream? No, it seemed far too real. Would she ever see her family again? Her friends? Was this even her own world or time." After thinking for a moment it became obvious, her surroundings had a cartoonish style and so did her body and after getting a good look at herself she had a good idea of where she was.

The How to train your dragon world, that made the most sense considering she was now someone's fan made dragon for the series. If this was true then it would be like one of those fanfics she read and she probably wouldn't be returning home. Her gear was pained at the thought of never seeing her family again and she was now stranded when and wherever she was.

She stopped in her tracks as she felt her anxiety rise and she took a few deep breaths to calm herself. She felt herself shake slightly and she closed her eyes, fighting the internal panic that was racing around her mind for a few moments before she felt like she was calm again.

When she opened her eyes, she glanced around again. Trees still surrounded her but now she thought she could hear the flow of water.

She tried to listen to where the water was located and she felt something move on her head and her best guess was her ears were moving to focus on the sound and after a moment she determined the water was to her left and she turned towards it.

When she came to a small flowing River she halted at the bank and she lended to look at her reflection. Yup she was definitely a Briskwind Boltren. Electric blue eyes blinked at her through the reflection, surrounded but bluish purple scales and a black mane.

Slowly she Concentrated on her new muscles on her back and she watched as her wings quivered in the reflection before slowly stretching out. Nico stretched them and then she gave them a small flap, feeling the air they caught. After a moment she shifted as her wings folded and they returned to her side.

Then she turned to look as she swung her new tail towards her face and she flexed the small fins she now supported. With a sigh she faced the water again and dipped her head towards the water and drank.

When she had her fill she straightened out and started to walk along the River. It was a good landmark to know and follow so she wouldn't backtrack by accident. With that in mind she moved along the river for a long time by herself. The only noise was the sound of the forest and the running water of the river.

Nico stayed observant as she moved along the River though she often lost her footing anyway, still not used to her new legs. It was kind of Aggravating as she often found herself looking at her paws or walking in exaggerated slow steps which would probably remind someone of a person without sea legs or maybe someone drunk.

She could imagine she looked quite stupid if anyone saw her but she really didn't like tripping over herself. Not only that but she swore her tail had a mind of its own. While she thought and walked she would be snapped into reality as her tail slammed into something painfully and it took awhile to get it under control.

She also quickly learned to keep her tail off the ground for if it dragged it would get caught in something. She already had a small nick in one of her tail fins. Another thing she learned was that her sight, smell and hearing was far better than it had been before, though that wasn't too surprising.

——

It had been hours since she had found herself here as a dragon and she was finally walking more confidently. She no longer guessed how high she needed to step or jump over obstacles like rocks and fallen trees.

Now she found herself sitting at the bottom of a waterfall. The roaring of the water drowned out all the noise around her and her scales and mane were damp from the water in the air.

She was staring up at the waterfall in deep thought. After a few moments she moved to the rock face and put her front paws on the rocks. Her claws digging in as hard as they could into the stone and she heaved herself up. Her muscles immediately screamed at her to stop but she pushed on.

Though to her dismay her back paws slipped under her making her slip slightly and in desperation she flapped her wings to gain some bit of leverage and it seemed to work thankfully.

She continued to haul herself up, one slow step at a time. Her eyes were narrowed at her goal then at a small ledge that was about half way up. With determination she slowly hauled herself up until her claws were on the ledge in the middle of the cliff.

She hauled herself up and when her eyes came over the ledge she stopped, her breath hitching. In front of her was a small green dragon with large yellow eye with long fire-like spines along its back. She stared as it looked at her and its tongue lapsed over its left eyeball. Nico blinked and was mimicked by the small green dragon.

Suddenly she felt her pack paws give away and her claws were ripped out of the cliff side and she suddenly found herself on her back groaning in pain. Slowly she rolled onto her paws and she stood up and inspected herself. She was glad to find that nothing seemed broken but when she was done looking she heard an odd small chuffing sound.

She looked up towards the source of the sound to see the small terror making the sound and she relized that the little thing was laughing at her. Her eyes narrowed at the dragon in warning.

"Not Funny!" she spoke and it came out as a small sound.

"Funny, much funny!" the little dragon called out surprising Nico slightly because she was unsure if she would understand dragons or not to begin with.

A growl escaped her throat, "Quite!" she snapped at the still chuckling dragon making it stop at the fierceness of her tone.

The small therible terror for that was what it was gave her an odd gaze and she chould only asume that the little dragon was inspecting her now. Its large eyes shifted over her for a moment before it spoke again."Strange, new, you?" it spoke in scattered words confusing Nico.

Nico tilted her head, Why was the little dragon speaking like that? Maybe we can only speak so many words?

The small dragon seemed to take my silence as it was, confusion. So the little dragon flew down from above and landed near her paws and she finally had an Idea of how big she was. She was probably as big as toothless was in the first movie or at least she hoped she was.

The small dragon began to circle her; he opened his maw and his snake-like tongue flickered and his nostrils expanded as the dragon smelled her. After a moment the small dragon stopped in front of her. "Not seen you, you smell new!" it chirped excitedly.

Nico just nodded at the dragon, "Yes I new, not from here" she said in a low grumble that sounded like very distant thunder.

The dragon tilted its head and made a cute grumble "I named Small Bite."

Nico halted, what could she call herself to this dragon because she didn't think she could say her name as a dragon nore did she think that Nico was a proper dragon name. Then what could she call herself…. Ohh I'm so dume, the name of my oc!

"I StormSeeker" she said to the small dragon and it gave a growl of acknowledgement.

"That good name, good! Good!" the small therible terror said with an excited hop before it pumped its small wings and flew about in a wild manner. After a few moments the small dragon settled and landed next to her. "You good! Not mean, Not mean like other big wings" it said with a wiggle, reminding Nico of a small dog but with wings and the ability to breath fire of course.

I guess what he means by saying big wings is bigger dragons. She thought to herself as she tilted her head slightly. She sighed as she noticed that the small dragon was now gone, disappeared to who knows where. But it really wasn't any of her concern. She needed to get back to the task at hand. She thought to herself as she looked at the imposing cliff that she had yet to concur.

With a growl of frustration she once again began the painful process of hauling herself up the cliff. It took what felt like forever to reach the one ledge she had fallen at and once she was on it she took a small breather to rest. The space on the ledge was small and she found she had to hang her left paws off the ledge to fit.

When she finally felt a bit rested she carefully continued on her mission to get to the top of the waterfall. The rest of the way was just as hard as the first half and when she finally hauled herself up she was panting. She walked a bit away from the edge before she lied down to rest her screaming legs and lungs.

She sat there in silence and listened to the flowing water next to her. Birds chirped and squirrels chartered as she lay there but then she heard a scream in the distance.
