So before I begin, I would first like to add that this is my first time writing a Pokémon story, and the story will have multiple chapters and such. The main character in the story, Umbreon, will be named Trey, after me, the author. The premise of the story is an Umbreon is attacked but saved by a group of eeveelutions that bring him to their cave. They are ALL female so I guess you know what that means lmao. Anyways I hope you enjoy the story, and please leave me any feedback or let me know if I make any grammatical errors along the way...

Chapter I - A New Start!

Could this weather get any worse? Trey thought as he padded along a forest trail, now covered in a thick blanket of snow. The trail was no longer visible, and the landscape itself seemed as if it were a vast white sea, with trees situated at random spots along the horizon. Trey had no idea where he was.

That was only one of his main problems. Another major concern had been that... well, he has no "cover". Being an umbreon in a snowy location makes you an easy target, so there wasn't much he could do about that. His rumbling stomach brought to his attention yet ANOTHER problem he had to deal with: food. It's been about a day and a half now since Trey last ate anything, and the constant search for food (in this case, protection and shelter as well) has begun to take a toll on him. His body began to succumb to the harsh coldness of winter as he felt his paws becoming numb.

"Damn it.." was all he could muster out as he found a tree and laid against it. The rough winter winds punched him in the face, nearly knocking him off-balance. His breathing was painful and his lungs ached; he had never been in this type of weather before. The winds were so fast that he could hardly see a few feet in front of him, creating an almost ghostly-like atmosphere. Trey was sure he would die here...

As he attempted to cling onto whatever small bit of life he had left in him, he heard a noise that literally made him freeze: growling. VERY close growling. That was it. The problem that was lingering around the back of his mind was in full effect now. He was spotted. Immediately looking to his left, Trey seen a tall, shadowy figure peering at him through the blizzard winds. He couldn't quite tell what the figure was, or whether it was a pokémon or human. It didn't really matter to Trey what it was, he was still going to die either way. The figure took a step, and continued its vicious growling. Obviously, it was territorial. Trey still had the energy to move but was so afraid he couldn't seem to go anywhere. The figure took another step before slightly bending down, peeling back it's lips, and revealing its sharp teeth. Being mauled alive was never how Trey thought he would die, but being a wild pokémon, it wasn't too far out of the ordinary. Although he was definitely on his last legs, Trey would not give up. He struggled to stand, but once he did, he took on a defensive stance.

The wind began to ease into a gentle breeze, and Trey was able to make out details of the figure: it had white fur, four legs, and long, canine ears. Yep, definitely a pokémon. The only pokémon that could have those features would be a ninetails. Regardless, it was still pissed.

The ninetails suddenly jumped, but Trey wasn't fast enough to retaliate. The pokémon scratched his side, and the force from the blow sent him flying into another tree. The poor guy was dazed, his vision blurred. He no longer had the strength to stand, and the scratch began to bruise into a horrible wound. Trey winced as the icy wind caused his injury to sting.

Unfortunately for him.. the ninetails wasn't done yet. It slowly walked up to him, raising it's paw before unleashing it's claws.

Well... this is the end...

"Psybeam!"

Trey watched in shock as a purple energy beam hit the ninetails, sending it flying a few feet away. He looked to his left, trying to find the source of the voice. It sure sounded feminine. There, some feet away, was another four-legged creature. It was quite small compared to the ninetails, which was about three times his size. He also noticed a small pink, glowing light on its forehead.

Trey coughed and placed a paw on his wound. It seemed foolish of this animal to be challenging this monster, let alone venture out in this snow. Unless it was asking for a death wish, Trey couldn't find any other motive.

The creature looked at Trey, it's large purple eyes staring at him with curiosity. It slowly approached him, and it's sleek, pink skin became visible. It's ears projected from both sides of it's head, and it's fork-like tail swung back and forth.

"Are you okay?" The creature asked in a gentle tone. There was no mistaking it. She was a female. And now that he saw her clearly, he knew what she was: an espeon.

"I'm fine..." Trey managed to spit out. He tried to regain the strength in his legs to stand, but it really wasn't working.

The espeon put a paw to his side to hold him down. "You need to relax. You're hurt." It sounded more like a demand than a statement.

Some nearby growling reminded the pair that they weren't out of the clear just yet. The ninetails was back on it's feet, and it was definitely angrier now. The wind also began to pick up speed again. Trey winced in pain and nearly fell unconscious. He wouldn't last another minute in these conditions.

The ninetails charged the duo, but was once again knocked aside, this time by yet another creature. The creature used it's head and crashed into the side of the ninetails.

The newcomer landed in front of the two.

"Oh good, she's here." The espeon stated before noticing Trey's wound. "Let me help you with that." Her forehead glowed a bright, pink light, followed by Trey's wound glowing too. "Just relax..."

Despite the cold, Trey's body suddenly felt a warm embrace cover him. It was as if all the other brutal elements, the cold, the wind, the bruise, even the ninetails... none of it mattered now. For the first time since he's been caught up in this blizzard, he truly felt comfortable. This strange phenomenon also made him feel sleepy, and despite his surroundings, he gently closed his eyes, and allowed the espeon to work her magic.

Within seconds, Trey had fallen asleep...

"I think he's waking up."

"But, his eyes are still closed."

"He's moving, though."

"Back up. Give him some space you two."

"But he looks so cute though."

"I wonder what he was doing out in the snow."

Trey's eyes began to open, and as soon as they did, three pairs of eyes were also staring down at him.

"What's going on?" Was the first question to hit Trey's brain.

"Don't worry, we took care of the ninetails." The espeon said. "I healed your wound and brought you here to this meadow. You're safe now." The espeon didn't mention that she intentionally put him to sleep so he wouldn't panic while she was using her powers. Nevertheless, she was glad that he was okay.

"Yeah, that was some mess you got caught up in. What were you thinking walking around in a blizzard like that?" Said the pokémon sitting to the left of the espeon. The voice told him that she also was a female. Her skin was a white color and pretty smooth. Parts of her feet and tail were blue. Her cold eyes stared at him, waiting for an answer.

"Uhh.. I got lost." Trey was thinking she would surely get even more pissed by his response, but she simply gave a sigh.

"Well I'm glad you made a recovery. We've been waiting on you to wake up for 2 hours now." Said the pokémon seated to the right of the espeon. Another female, Trey thought. This one looked liked a mixture of a canine and a mermaid. Obviously a water type. She looked like the oddest of the trio, but her expression and tone of voice were the most jolly.

"Thanks I guess..."

"Anyways, allow me to introduce myself. I'm Rose, and as you may know, I'm the one that helped you earlier." She pointed to the pokémon on her left. "This is Winter. She's a glaceon. She took care of the ninetails while I healed you." She then pointed to her right. "And this is-"

"I'm Aqua!" Chirped the mermaid-dog looking one. "And I'm a vaporeon!" Her tail swished happily.

"Oh."

"And what's your name?" Rose asked.

"I'm Trey."

"Nice to meet ya Trey!" Aqua's energy was way too high for him, but he'll get used to it.

"Well Trey, would you like something to eat? We've got plenty berries at our cave." Rose stated. That's when it hit Trey's mind: he had completely forgotten about eating anything. It's now been nearly two days since he's eaten.

"Nah, I'm fine. I'll manage." Trey replied after giving it some thought. As confident as he seemed, his growling stomach ruined all chances of him getting away with that.

Winter chuckled. "Oh yeah, you'll definitely manage." Trey hung his head down in shame. Winter was right. He wouldn't admit it though.

"It's really no trouble Trey. Me and my sisters would be happy to share with you." Rose said, a hint of joy in her voice.

"Sisters?" How could they be sisters? They looked nothing alike.

"Yeah, we're sisters. And I'm the oldest." Rose said. "There's actually seven of us."

"Seven!?"

"Yeah. Seven. Now come on. You need to eat." Winter chimed in.

"Yeah please Trey! You need to eat something!" Aqua added. It was three against one, so he didn't really have a choice here.

"...Fine."

"Yippee!" Aqua squealed. Trey wasn't sure why was she so excited about that. But who cares, he was starving.

"Well then, let's go. It's lunchtime time!" Rose said excitedly.

So, the trio led him to their cave. It was quite a long walk from the meadow where he woke up. Along the way, he seen some interesting landmarks including a really large berry tree (where the sisters get their berries) and a waterfall that splits in two directions. There were still bits of snow laying around the area, but most of it has melted. Birds and other small pokémon were out and about, doing their own things. The peaceful atmosphere told Trey that they posed no threat.

"We're here." Rose announced.

"Hope you enjoyed your sightseeing." Winter smirked, peering back at Trey.

"Anyways, follow us inside." Rose said before heading inside, followed by Winter, Aqua and Trey.

Walking in, Trey spotted four more pokémon. Two were eating some berries, and the other two were talking.

"Fellow sisters. We have a guest." Rose announced. It was now obvious to Trey that she was the leader.

The four pokémon, as well as Winter and Aqua, took a seat around a pretty sizable fire in the center of the cave. Rose stayed standing beside Trey. After the six pokémon took their spot, they all looked at Rose, awaiting her call.

"While out on an expedition earlier, we found this guy nearly get killed by a ninetails. Winter defeated it while I healed him and brought him to the nearby meadow. His name is Trey. He's already met me, Winter and Aqua. The rest of you, introduce yourselves." Rose commanded.

An orange looking pokémon immediately stood up; Trey could tell she was a fire type. Everything about her appearance screamed "FIRE!" From her head to feet, it was obvious. He could even feel a fiery personality within her.

"Nice to meet you! I'm Blaze, and I'm a flareon!" She said excitedly. Something told Trey that despite being opposites, Blaze and Aqua probably had the same personalities. Perhaps they were twins. Anyways, after announcing herself, she sat back down.

The pokémon beside Blaze then stood up, and this one looked like a nature type. She had leaf-looking features on her body, and seemed to be very shy. In his opinion, she seemed the most beautiful of the seven.

Rose smirked a bit.

"...Hi." She said, looking down and shuffling her paws. Trey could tell she was nervous.

She soon looked up at him after not saying anything for a few seconds. "M-My name is Misty... and I'm a leafeon..."

Yup, she's shy. She then took a seat again, and the next one to stand up was a bizarre looking one. One that he had a bad feeling about.

"What's up. I'm a jolteon, and the coolest of the bunch!" She said, confidence evident in her tone. "I'm Sparky but my sisters call me Spark 'cause Sparky sounds 'girly' to me." This one probably is a tomboy, but still feminine nevertheless. She definitely seemed cool. She winked at him before sitting down.

And the last one to stand up was a... well, another "odd" looking one. She had ribbons all over, and the bright pink colors almost made his eyeballs puke. She was the smallest of the sisters, so she must be the youngest.

"Hi there! I'm Serenity! I'm a sylveon! I'm also the youngest!" If Trey didn't already know that she was the youngest, her high-pitched, squeaky voice was a dead giveaway.

"Great, now that that's out of the way, I'm going to take a nap. Spark, show him where the berries are." Rose said before finding a suitable place near the cave wall to rest. The rest of the sisters went back to doing their own thing.

"Come on, hot shot!" Spark called out to him. "I bet you're starving."

"I sure am." Trey replied. His stomach growled but she didn't hear it.

"Well we've got plenty to eat big boy!" She said, though Trey heard a bit lust in her tone.

She led him deeper into the cave where there was system of tunnels that led to different chambers. He followed her into the tunnel directly ahead which led to a chamber with berries in piles along the sides.

"Wow. That's a lot of food." Trey said, amazed at the amount of food.

"Oh yeah! We do a lot of hunting and gathering. It's a lot of us so we always store whatever we find." Spark explained. "Finding food can be a hassle sometimes."

"I bet." Trey said before grabbing a few berries to eat.

"Help yourself to as much as you like." Despite seeming the "toughest" of the group, she still had a kind heart (no doubt Rose taught her that...).

Having not eaten in about 2 days, Trey ate like a king, stuffing himself with whatever looked delicious. Spark just laughed at his eating, finding it funny how he stuffed himself.

"Man, that was good!" Trey said, now full. What he needed now was a place to rest.

"You probably wanna sleep that off. Follow me." Sparky turned to leave; Trey followed her. She led him through a side tunnel. The other side contained a small chamber with a pile of leaves in the corner (probably a bed...) and a lone stick on the floor (a chew toy?).

"Well this is my room." She said pointing inside. "That's my bed and chew toy. You can sleep here for now. We'll make you a room if you decide to stay."

"Thanks Spark. I really appreciate it."

"No problem, big guy." She responded, nudging him. Her actions were a bit off-putting, but he did feel comforted. Right now though, this nap was the number one priority. As if to waste more time, Rose came in.

"Hey you two! Just checking in."

"Oh, we're doing good! Trey here was about to take a nap."

"Well before he does, I'd like to speak with him... alone."

"Sure." Spark then leaned in his ear. "See you in a bit." She then left, leaving Trey and Rose alone.

"So, is everything okay?" Rose asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Good. Everyone is pretty nice. I like it here."

"Are you planning on staying? We always have room for one more."

"I'm not sure yet. I don't wanna be a burden or anything..."

"Aw it's no problem. Besides, me and my sisters can take care of you~" The tone came off more sultry than she wanted.

"I'll think about it."

"Good. Also, did you notice how 'nice' Spark was being?"

"Yeah. I'm guessing she's not usually like that?"

"Nope. There is a reason why she's being this way though." Rose wasn't sure if she should tell him the answer, but he may find out sooner or later.

"What is it then?"

"It's because of her heat."

"...Really!?" The answer totally caught him off-guard.

"Yeah. She really likes you, but it could just be her heat. She didn't tell us about it, but I'm aware of it." The gem on her glowed a bright light to prove her point.

"Oh yeah."

"I am a psychic type, Trey. I can read thoughts and emotions."

"..."

Did that mean that she has been reading his mind?

"I didn't mean to scare you."

"No no. It's fine." It didn't scare him, but it sure as hell made him nervous. "So, what do I do then?"

"My advice would be to hang out with her. Help her when she needs help. And when she decides to tell you how she feels about you, accept her feelings... even if you don't like her. Despite her tough exterior, she is very sensitive."

This was a lot to take in, but Trey understood it all. "Okay."

"The sun has set now, so you should get some rest. You have a big day tomorrow." Rose commented, adding a wink for good measure.

Trey was a bit bummed that he didn't watch the sun set, but he'd get over it. "Alright then. I guess I do need some shut-eye."

"You really do, Trey. You're tired." She smiled. "Good night."

"Good night."

And with that, she left.

Trey made his way over to the makeshift bed and lied down. He had a lot on his mind right now, but one thing was for sure: he was very thankful of Rose and her sisters to give him food and a place to stay. Speaking of Rose, her words were now lingering around in his head.

"Did you notice how 'nice' Spark was being?"

"It's because of her heat."

"When she decides to tell you how she feels about you, accept her feelings... even if you don't like her. Despite her tough exterior, she is very sensitive."

"What do I do with her?" He asked himself before falling into sleep's embrace.

Aaaaaand that's the first chapter! Will Trey decide to stay? Was Rose lying about Spark's situation? Does Trey even love her back? What will he do about this? Be on the lookout for Chapter 2: Electrifying Heartbeat, coming soon! Peace out!
