Hey guys I'm officially moved in to the new place and feel so much better and i can't believe how well I'm feeling here in my new place. I honestly feel this has been a good move on my part and feel that I'm gonna do great work now. ALso at the making of this we've received some really rough news with the passing of Robbie Coltrane who was the voice and man behind Hagrid. I wish his family the best and to all the fans of his. As a way to honor his memory i will be posting Hagrid quotes at the beginning of every chapter from here forward and i hope you appreciate it.
"I am what I am, an' I'm not ashamed. 'Never be ashamed,' my ol' dad used ter say, 'there's some who'll hold it against you, but they're not worth botherin' with."
Harry slowly peeled away the darkness of his eyelids and came back to the world of the waking as he felt himself lay on the stone floor.
"Rise Young Master Potter." Ragnock spoke and watched as the boy known as Harry Potter rose from the floor to a standing position in front of the Sages of the Goblin Nation. "How do you feel Harry? You were close to the embrace of Death."
Harry looked at the High King before his own hands and body. How did he feel? He felt amazing! He felt a hole in him grow full and he smiled slowly helped climb himself up. "Wow..." He leaned forward a bit too much and Ragnock caught him.
"Easy...you've been still for several hours. Your body needs a moment to feel awake." He smiled up at him before helping him stand up and he helped Harry to a chair. Slowly Harry rubbed his legs before looking up and saw the orb in the middle which had a darkness swirling around it and what made it sound like a bullet going off and ricocheting back and forth.
"What is that?" Harry asked as he stared at it and every now and again saw two red lines which seemed like eyes as it stared daggers back at Harry before bouncing again back and forth along the orb.
"That. Is Voldemort's soul that was inside you Harry." A Sage spoke up as they seemed to keep the Orb intact as literal strands of magic flowed through the air into the Orb and healed it whenever damage seemed to appear on it. "It is quite strong which surprises us. It must have been feeding off your actual magic for many many years. How long has this been in you?" he asked
"Too long." Harry muttered as he leaned forward on his knees and felt his body slowly become awake again. He knew they couldn't move but he could swear they had their eyes on him as he slowly sat up and groaned rubbing his face. "Alright i'm good." He coughed softly before he shook his head. "Let's go." He stood and with the help from Ragnock he slowly walked over. "What do we do to kill it?"
"We can not kill it." The Sage in the middle growled out in it's raspy voice. "Normally we could but this has feasted on your core since you were youth. Only one thing can kill it."
All at once the voices spoke. "The Sword of Gryffindor."
"Summon it. Young Lord Gryffindor." A Sage spoke with haste. "Quickly we already feel the draining of our magic as we contain it." Harry nodded and focused his mind on one thing. The Sword. He held his hand out and slowly it materialized making him stagger with the new weight in his hand He swung out the blade a bit to get use to the blade before spinning it in his wrist.
"Alright I'm ready." He held his blade up and looked towards the orb.
"Now! Strike the evil!" The voices shouted.
Harry moved forward lifting the sword over his shoulder his mind traveling back to that night in the Chamber. When all a swing would do would bounce off the armor of the Basilisk and yet here and now the blade drove downward and through the sphere piercing the black mist. A explosion of magic blasted Harry backwards to the wall along with Ragnock.
"We...will...meet...….again...Potter!" Harry heard as the sound of a voice died...a voice he knew very well as it haunted his dreams and nightmares. Finally his curse was over. He no longer was tied to the devil of damned Voldemort. Slowly Harry pulled himself up and looked up and what he saw made his stomach drop. The Sages' bodies were now obliterated by the burst of magic energy in the room.
"Do not take their deaths to your heart Harry." Ragnock who was forcing himself up looked up at the boy and saw his eyes which were scared with pain and suffering. Ragnock's showed the opposite. Hope and relief. "To become a Sage although one of the highest honors of our Nation is also one of the most accursed one. To be bound from death and seperated from life. A state of being none should suffer but they do for the Nation. As duty and people before self."
"So...they are at peace?"
"Yes. Thanks to you." Ragnock smiled and reached over and took Harry's hand in his and squeezed it softly. "You are so much like your mother...but you have your father's face." He chuckled and gently patted it. "Now come your teacher and love have waited for you long enough and I must prepare the Nation for War and to Hunt for the Horcruxes.
Slowly the two made their way out of the chamber and up to the door which with a swipe of his hand the door opened once again and a worried Tonks and Dumbledore looked up almost fast enough to cause whiplash. Harry slowly smiled at them causing Tonks to jump forward and hug him close.
She held him tightly against him for the longest moment and as they pulled back she pulled back her fist and punched him in the chest hard. "You idiot do you know how much you had me worried!" Tonks growled before hugging him again. "You do that again and not even death can save you from me. Got it?!"
"Got it." Harry laughed as he felt her hold him close and closed his eyes feeling her warmth and now only noticed how cold that room had been. He had to shiver at her touch and exhaled softly.
"Harry...is it..?" Dumbledore looked at Harry once Tonks and him separated and Harry gave his grin which brought relief to the heart of the old man who sighed before pulling out a handkerchief and rubbed the sweat from his face. "Thank Merlin."
"Forgive me Albus, Harry but I believe the best time for you two to go and rest. Harry has had a long and draining day...and it is probably best that he rest at home." Ragnock mentioned. "And as that I give you both permission to apparate only this once." He gave them all handshakes before beginning his way upward to his throne to rule his people as the three grasped hands and with a twist of their heels left Gringotts.
Somewhere else the Dark Lord sat on his throne within the halls of Malfoy Manor as he twisted his wand in his palm. Reaching over slowly he grabbed the chalice that he had asked Snape to bring him and slowly bring it to his lips before the shaking became too much and it fell.
"Damn you..." He swung his wand and the chalice rose to his chair again refilling as if time itself had been warped back to that one spot. He simply leaned forward and sipped from the top before he found his strength enough to lift the chalice more and drain the potion down his throat to his core and rose from his throne and rubbed Nagini's head. "The Boy must have found our secret...you must stay close to me beloved Nagini. I fear what would happen if you were hurt." He focused on his magical core and reached out finding that he still had five of the horcruxes still. "Or maybe not...perhaps he finally took to mind and thrusted his magic into his trainings. I feel excitement for the first time in decades Nagini...for this fight will be legendary."
He turned as a noise caught his ear and he watched as his most faithful servant approached. "Ah Bellatrix welcome back my most faithful." He watched as the smile twisted as it was on her face approached him and bowed before him.
"My lord. I have come as you summoned."
"Yes...you my dear are the most worthy of all my Death Eaters. You claimed the soul of your own Kin in my name and in doing so have fully pledged yourself to me." Voldemort reached down and slowly grazed his hand along her cheek sending a shiver through her. "And for this you will be given an honor like no other." He pointed to a room adjacent and helped her rise and led her to it.
Her smile only faltered once when she followed as the memory of Sirius entered her mind before disappearing and entered. Out of the shadows a figure peeled itself away and headed for the gates as he flicked his wand at it and apparated back to Hogwarts to deliver news to a man he owed his life to. He quickly wrote the news he had heard before he sent the letter by owl. This particular owl had been enchanted to always find one or the other since often it was their only way of communicating when Snape must be in silence communication.
Slowly he looked over to the side and opened a drawer peeling out a photo of himself and Lily. "Oh Lily... forgive me please." The photo of her gave him a sad smile before he put it away and he rose from his seat and left to begin his duty as teacher and prepare his lessons.
