Here is the next chapter. I'll be working on this story more going forward and we'll see where it takes us. Thank you so much and please review love Hermione X

Harry and Ron knew something was wrong with Quirinous Quirrel. They couldn't see through his turban and they didn't even mind the turban either. What bothered them was the fact that he was very obviously putting on his stutter. They realised that no one in their year or any year would notice that it was fake. They only knew it was fake after all their years of living as Godric and Salazar. As children they'd been trained to spot people pretending to have issues in order to get further in life. Maybe he was putting it on to aid in his teaching. They would take a wait and see approach. If he showed that he wasn't though those portraits would be talking. He walked down the stairs from his office entering the classroom but was shaking as he did so. In fact he looked practically terrified which made absolutely no sense.

Ron and Harry looked at one another communicating silently and nodded once.

"W…w….w…welcome t…t…t…to your DA...D…D…A l…l…l…l…lesson. I'm p….p….professor Q…Quirrel!" he stuttered out as most of the students in the room looked around awkwardly not sure what to do. This bloody freak was making them feel highly insecure in a bad way. Quirrel jumped whirling around as Godric laughed from his portrait.

Oh Godric do be quiet. I'm sure Professor Quirrel is going to explain to us all why he's putting on that stutter aren't you Professor? Salazar asked seriously. Quirrel freaked out not knowing what to do and proclaimed that he wasn't feeling well at all before running from the room making all the students in the room scream in fear. Something they couldn't see had obviously attacked him and made him ill. They all ran from the room, Godric and Salazar screaming too just so it would look legit later on. They ran into Professor Snape who was on his way down to the dungeons again after visiting the infirmary and he looked at them all in awe.

"Calm down everyone. Please tell me in a calm fashion what happened one of you!" he said firmly but calmly.

"Something we couldn't see got Professor Quirrel and made him sick. He ran from the room he was so scared. Salazar Slytherin asked him why he was putting on the stutter and then he said he was sick and ran from the room. It was so scary!" Hannah Abbott explained as he looked at her in awe.

"May I have permission Miss Abbott to have a quick look in your memories of this lesson?" he asked kindly as she said he could. A quick peak in her mind showed the lesson and he grimaced exiting her mind once more.

"I don't have a lesson right now. Right then let's all go back into the classroom and investigate what may have caused him to get ill shall we?" he asked with glee. They all agreed to go back into the classroom so long as he was with them. When they entered the room he cast every diagnostic spell he knew. He warned them that he would be blasting apart a wall and fixing it again as it could be something in the walls causing him to get ill. They watched in awe as he placed up a protection shield and then blasted apart the whole wall revealing a hidden rune sequence cursing the position. He effortlessly removed the runes fighting against the compulsion on them to leave them there should they be found. As he wasn't the DADA teacher though, those compulsions did not affect him as much as they normally would have if he'd been the DADA teacher in question. He removed them one by one as the class watched him working slowly in awe. He explained how careful it was to do these things slowly so that you are always correct. He was thrilled to see their enthusiasm.

Thank you Professor Snape. You are already ten times better than Professor Quirrel was. Professor Dumbledore really should consider you for this job if you ever decide to stop teaching potions. Congratulations. I think you'll find that the curse on this position has now been removed.

He looked at the portrait of Godric with a smile and thanked him in return. He repaired the wall and asked the class to write an essay on what they hope to learn from their future DADA lessons for their homework. He dismissed them early to start on their work and headed back down to his labs. Elsewhere Quirinous was panicking his head off. The portraits knew he'd been faking it and Voldemort was furious that his cover might be blown over those blasted portraits. They would need to go stat. He would need to say he'd been nervous and gradually get better as time went on. Hopefully in a few weeks the staff would never remember he'd been stuttering before now. He would say something like it was time to be brave and stop being so damn nervous all the time. Only Severus would remember and boy would he love it when Albus found out he'd been right. Quirrel decided since he had no lessons next he'd try to get the stone. No one else knew his schedule anyway and most of the staff were currently busy teaching. He approached the third floor corridor door being shocked and knocked out immediately.

Unfortunately for him the staff truly was very busy and they forgot about him. He came too later of his own volition. He realised he'd been attacked by the door and went around the corner poking his hand through so only that faced the door and blast it off its hinges as a huge stunner was sent his way. He jumped out of the way only just managing to escape. At least now he was able to enter the floor properly and look around. As Harry and Ron were busy in their next lesson they didn't think to check out the third floor. He entered the room looking around with a panic. This was it. At last he'd get the stone. He narrowly avoided being eaten alive by the Cerberus inside as Voldemort freaked out. He didn't wish to die in this endeavour. It was so he could prolong his life eternally. What none of them knew however is that Nicholas had never trusted anyone with his philosopher so he'd imbibed it with his blood and special runes and wards. These runes and wards meant that the person who got the stone could only make more money with it and never the elixir of life. Only he could ever make the elixir himself. It would be some disappointment to whoever got the stone.

As it so happened Lolly had replaced the stone with a replica which she had charmed a bit so it still held magic just not the magic of the philosopher stone. It was designed to feel just like the philosopher stone without being the real McCoy. It was something Godric had thought of last minute and Salazar had been so proud of his best friend when he heard about it. It would fool everyone. Quirinous got the stone and returned to his office feeling triumphant. Voldemort was stunned totally he'd succeeded. Clearly Dumbledore seriously believed a Cerberus would terrify him so much that he'd falter. Definitely it did not. He wasn't some weird first year after all. As he sat there in his office looking at the stone Voldemort realised with great horror he had no idea how to use it. He'd be forced to stay here and teach until he could get a teacher drunk enough to tell him more about it. He'd gradually lose the stutter and go from there. Things would certainly be interesting in his next lesson.
