[a/n-1]I note the passing of Robbie Coltrane. Fly with Norbert. I'll next be doing a Hagrid-centric chapter in his honor.

[a/n0]Concerning #32's reaction to the Marriage Law reviews. A few thoughts: I think a some nailed it like RedMuppetDragon and cameron1812 [the theme is Does Different] There've been lots of all the kids leave Britain, or deball the Wizengamot stories. Also, I didn't write it with any motivation related to the subject of transing. The action had to do with removing reproductive ability, nothing else. About the physical effect? No I hadn't thought about the Menopause aspect in Hermione's case. However, regarding Harry, an Orchiectomy only impacts the ability to reproduce and not the sex act.

[a/n]Didn't have any idea where to take a couple popular characters from SoHDD: They appeared in #26 #34 #36 and #44: The stories don't fit together especially well, but that's what retconning is for.

Harry Does Different CDLXXIIIa

Dark Luna Meets Evile Moste Secrete

Luna Lovegood had parked herself hours before, outside the DADA classroom. Except for the need to turn the page of the book she was reading, she had not moved a muscle from her handstand, leaning against a wall. To the curious bypasser or two, wondering at her position, she replied "Waiting for the blubbering humdingers to deliver their babies, of course."

"Weirdo! Freak!" was more than one reply.

The Ravenclaw would simply smile, turn a page in answer "Thank you." Eventually her target emerged from the room.

"I really hate that bloody bitch." Harry was shaking his hand and working his fingers "Oops! Luna? Sorry about mouthing off like that. Do you …err… usually? Like that?"

Completely unperturbed, the inverted girl slowly opened her eyes and smiled spaceily "Think nothing of it. Language is merely a tool of expression. I wonder …why have you not slain her yet?"

"Me? Kill? Why would i- - -" the wizard looked genuinely confused.

Without strain or wobble, the blonde girl scratched at her chin thoughtfully, then observed "Ahh …I see… I would prefer to speak your other self."

"I don't know what you - - -" began Harry, more confused than before; at least at first. His eyes clouded, blinked several times, then cleared. He lashed out with a kick that stopped inches from the completely vulnerable neck "How long have you known? What gave me away?" The attack was really only stopped by a distant sound.

Luna only smiled, having made no move to defend herself. She replied "You shouldn't kill minions. Especially useful ones. Particularly in public, where you have no deniability."

"No sudden moves." He commanded, displaying his wand without drawing it "On your feet and don't even think of pulling yours."

The witch complied, easily folding her legs and once the move completed, stood just outside arms reach "Perhaps the innocent one needs a few more blood quill treatments before plotting actual vengeance, but we both know one session was more than enough for you."

"I am not ready to reveal myself." Harry said ominously, while stepping closer to the Ravenclaw "And that brings us to you. This knowledge is highly premature."

Her smile and tone was typical of Looney as she assured him "You would find me a formidable opponent. My original plan was to rule the world within 20 years. Working on your other self added probably a decade to my timeline, but once I deduced your existence …all my plans could be advanced. Working together, we could accomplish it in a decade."

"Working against me the whole time, no doubt." He countered easily, then as the corridor filled he got right against her and hissed "I trust you are true of the reverse. For now, have you something specific in mind?"

She smirked, most un-Looneyishly, and whispered "I am content to be a lesser target. But as with our prior activities, we need a suitable red herring as cover for Umbridge's elimination."

Within weeks of this conversation, the Defense Against the Dark Arts post was vacant and Harry Potter was testifying in a murder trial. The prosecutor introduced himself "I am Brennan Doyle, now I don't want you to think you are in any trouble Mr. Potter. Just a couple questions."

"Yuh-yes sir." The bespectacled boy was clearly nervous on the stand "I'll d-do my buh-best."

He was even more Irish than Seamus Finnegan "It's very important to be completely honest as we only want to get to the truth. Now, not to speak ill of the dead, but Madam Umbridge was …how shall I put this… less than popular?"

"I don't know if I can say she was the WORST teacher we ever had." Grumbled Harry "I mean, First Year we had Voldemort's ghost."

After the obligatory gasping, the prosecutor went on "You did have detention, with Professor Umbridge, the night of the heinous crime? Am I correct?"

"Yes sir." Answered Harry with a nod "Best we've had was Lupin and the phony Moody."

Doyle made a noncommittal grunt "The point being, even though Professor Umbridge was not your favorite, you did NOT have either the motive or the opportunity to kill her. Is that a fair statement?"

"No I don't think so." The witness purposely offered a short response.

The prosecutor was wrapping up "About the actual circumstances, Mr. Potter, what did you think when Professor Flitwick was arrested for the crime?"

"I knew he's part goblin, but even that didn't make me suspect he had anything to do with it." Harry Giving the longest answer to his testimony "Well, until all the papers reported it was a goblin blade …his… in her chest."

Doyle bowed to Fudge "No further questions, Minister."

"Only one question Harry." The Headmaster was acting as defense counsel "While we all agree you could not have murdered Professor Umbridge, that same circumstance also means you could not possibly have eyewitness testimony of the murder. Is that also correct?"

There was little to say, so he just shrugged "Yeah, I didn't actually SEE anything."

"As uninformative as your testimony was" that a pair of students were strolling the shores of Black Lake was generally assumed to be for romantic purposes. These two wanted privacy for other reasons "I believe it turned the tide."

Harry nodded "Well it is true. Even today, I cannot say from personal knowledge how Flitwick's goblin sword ended up in Umbridge's room. Let alone her chest."

"Little different from the odd circumstance of Professor Lupin's unfortunate poisoning." Replied the blonde in a slight Looney tone.

Harry didn't even bother looking at his companion as he asked "So, was Flitwick merely a tool? Or did someone have a score to settle?"

"He's been a teacher here almost as long as Dumbledore. Time to accumulate a lot of enemies." Luna observed sagely "And not maybe obvious ones. Sometimes it's only a matter of an inability to note the obvious that causes atrocities."

There was something clearly sinister in the young wizard's expression as he smiled "I think we can develop a similar scheme for Surrey."

"I assume you mean the Dursleys." Nothing in Luna's reply conveyed reluctance.

He shook his head "Actually, I was thinking of the whole county."

At this point they had to change subjects because there were too many people too close.
