"Wait, they all escaped?" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "Even Trunks?" That was especially troubling, for Trunks was one of her more monstrous-looking specimens, a horned elephant. No matter the species, no matter the size, Samus loved collecting bugs. Naming them, even nuzzling them, she would become attached to every single one. She took excellent care of them, each one with its own cage. But for all of them to escape was quite the dilemma.
"So will you help me wrangle them up before the others find out? I don't want anyone freaking out," she said a bit sheepishly. The chaos that would ensue should they be discovered would be difficult to explain to Master Hand, so we quickly began our search. Like a game of hide-and-seek, we checked every room and around every corner, leaving not a vase, not even a shoe unturned. I finally found one amongst the potted plants: Blade the praying mantis!
"Here's Aria!" exclaimed Samus, who found the cricket atop the bookcase. One by one we managed to find the rest of the escapees, some in plain sight while others in rather unusual places, returning them to their respective cages at last.
I sighed. "I still cannot fathom what you see in such ill-behaved creatures."
"I wouldn't expect you to," she smirked.
"You're lucky I love you otherwise I would tell on you," I teased, kissing her on the nose. But suddenly, as we realized Trunks was still missing, there came terrible screams from the women's shower room…
