Michael made his way into his father's quarters. He had been hoping to get to and from Earth without his father finding out, but truthfully, he knew that wasn't likely. In fact, he was lucky it had taken as long as it did for his father to notice his absence from the Silver City. Still, it was worth it to see that human squirm and suffer. He only wished he could've done more.

When Michael got into his father's quarters, he found his twin on the couch in the living room. "Samael."

Lucifer glared furiously at his brother. "That is not my name! My name is Lucifer!"

"Whatever, Samael," Michael said with a grin. It was like he told that human. He was allowed to torment his brother.

"What do you want anyway?" Lucifer asked with a glare.

"Well, obviously I'm here to see Father. Although, since you're here, you should know that I met your little human. I've gotta say I didn't really see the appeal," Michael told him.

Lucifer looked at his brother in surprise. "You were on Earth? You saw the detective?"

Michael nodded. "Is that what you call her? She seems kind of stupid to be a detective."

Lucifer glared and took a step towards his twin. "What did you do to her? I swear if you hurt her…"

"Seriously? You're going to defend a woman who tried to murder you? You are truly pathetic, Samael," Michael said.

Lucifer flinched, but quickly covered up the pain he felt at his brother's words. He stepped forward to attack his brother, but then felt a firm hand on his upper arm. He turned to see his father there, looking none too pleased.

"That's enough from both of you! Michael, apologize to your brother. What you just said is completely unacceptable," God told his son with a stern glare. His son didn't need any grief for the way he was responding to what happened to him.

"I'm sorry," Michael said reluctantly. A part of him even meant it, but that didn't mean he wanted to apologize. He supposed that comment was a little uncalled for, given what his brother just been through with that human. He'd just been pissed that his brother could still defend her.

Lucifer only scowled in response, making it clear what he thought about his brother's apology.

God released Lucifer's arm and looked at both his sons sternly. "Let me make something very clear to both of you right now. You are not going to continue this ridiculous, childish rivalry! I have let it go on long enough. You will put an end to it, and at the very least be civil to each other. Is that clear?"

"Yes, Father," Michael said, reluctantly.

God turned to Lucifer expectantly, who didn't reply. "Sam… Lucifer, I want a response please."

"Fine. If he backs off, so will I," Lucifer agreed.

"Good. Michael, follow me to my office, please," God said before leading the way to his office without another word.

Michael sighed, but followed his father. Once they were inside his office, he shut the door.

"Sit down," God said before taking the seat behind his desk. He waited for Michael to sit before speaking again. "Was anything I said the other night unclear to you, Michael?"

"Father I…" Michael started, only to be interrupted.

"Answer my question," God commanded.

"No, you were not unclear."

"So then you understood me when I told you and your siblings that you were not allowed to leave the Silver City. Then perhaps you wouldn't mind telling me why you disobeyed me just days later!" God said in a cool tone. He had not been happy at all when he discovered that Michael had left these Silver City. He had been very clear when he told his children they were not to leave. He had also been clear when he told them it was a matter of safety.

Michael cringed at his father's tone. He could tell he was pissed. He wasn't yelling, though he rarely did that. However, he spoke very calmly and in a low tone that made it clear he was mad. "I'm sorry, Father."

"Don't lie to me. Answer my question," God said. Unlike his twin, Michael had a habit of lying when he was in trouble. Unfortunately for Michael, God could tell when his son was lying to him. He knew very well that Michael was not sorry for disobeying him.

"I went to see the human that betrayed Samael," Michael finally told him.

God had known that much. When he searched for Michael, he felt his presence with Chloe Decker. He didn't know exactly what transpired between the two of them., but he was pretty sure he knew why Michael had gone there. " We'll ignore fact that you went to the one human that is the reason for me ordering all of you away from Earth in the first place for now. Tell me why you were there." Again, he was pretty sure he knew why Michael had gone there, but he wanted him to answer.

Michael shrugged, as if he didn't know. He didn't want to admit that he went there on his twins' behalf. "I guess I was curious."

"I've already warned you once about lying, Michael. Do not make me say it again. Why did you go see Chloe Decker when you knew you were not allowed to?" God asked.

Michael sighed in exasperation. "Fine. I wasn't gonna let her get away with what she did! She had no right to attack him that way! I wanted to make her suffer."

"I assumed as much. Tell me exactly what happened," God said. He didn't see much when he came across Michael with Chloe Decker. He ordered him back home as soon as he saw that he was there.

Michael told him everything. Well, almost everything. He left out the part about the woman shooting him. That would only piss his father off even more and prove his point. If he could avoid it, he didn't want his father to know. "I didn't do much even though I wanted to."

"That's all?" God asked.

Michael nodded.

"Then perhaps you can tell me about the hole in your robes. No lies, Michael," God reminded him.

Michael cringed. He'd forgotten about the physical proof that the woman had shot at him. "Okay, she fired her weapon on me, but it didn't do anything."

God was furious. Once again, this woman had tried to harm one of his children. It didn't matter that her weapon couldn't injure Michael. The fact that she tried made him furious. Although he supposed it was possible that she did it because she feared Michael. He supposed he should ascertain that one way or another. "Were you threatening her or the child in any way when she shot at you?"

"No. In fact, I told her I wasn't allowed to kill her. I was walking towards the kid, but I wasn't threatening her. I was talking to her. I think she was trying to get me to stop telling the child what she had done. She put the kid in danger by shooting me. The kid was right behind me. The bullet could have easily hit her," Michael explained.

God had had a feeling it was something to that effect. He had had to be sure, though. Now that he knew, he might just have to pay another visit to Chloe Decker. He thought that by locking her in her home until he decided on a punishment for her, that she wouldn't be a danger to anyone, but that was clearly not the case. He might have to find another place to put her for the time being. In any event, he intended to make her answer for trying to murder yet another one of his children. No matter what else, the child in her care needed to be removed as soon as possible. "I'll ask one more time. Is there anything else you need to tell me?"

"No, Father," Michael said. This time, he meant it. His father knew everything that happened now.

God sighed. A part of him didn't want to punish Michael. Michael had acted to avenge his brother. A part of God was pleased by that. However, he'd made himself clear on this matter. He told his children that they'd be punished if they went to Earth, and he was a man of his word. "I understand why you did it, Michael, but I told you what would happen if you left this plane. Tell me what I said the consequences would be."

"The loss of the use of our wings. For how long?" Michael asked. He didn't bother trying to argue the punishment. His father always followed through with things like this. The punishment was still worth it to him, but that didn't mean he was happy about it.

"Until I say otherwise. If you can't be trusted to stay put, I'll have to insure it," God said before waving his hand. "Your wings are still there, and you can still expand them. They just won't allow you to take flight."

Michael nodded that he understood.

"You may go now."

Michael nodded before standing up and heading out of the room.
