Dumbledore's POV

Three weeks passed in a blink of an eye for some and others felt that months had passed, the later was the case of Dumbledore. After sending Remus after the elusive Potters, he thought the issue would resolve itself in a matter of days, mayde a week tops. The members of the order were issued orders to prepare a safe house where the Potters will be locked until they saw the error of their actions.

However it seemed that his plan failed, he could no longer find the werewolf and even worse the public opinion was against them all because he didn't have money to buy Fudge, the pink toad and the editor of the daily Prophet.

Ever since that night, all his plans were crumbling and maybe, just maybe he took the wrong decisions regarding the Potters and how to manage the situation, maybe he needed advice from a very old friend.

—TIME SKIP—

Somewhere in between big mountains stood a fortress even bigger than Nuremberg where his dear friend Grindelwald was imprisoned, all for the greater good of course, here was the home of a very very old friend, one who had helped him become one of the most important people of the world.

Having been alerted by his presence near the gates, a house elf stood in a ratty pillow case, he guided me towards the office where the host waited for me.

Albus, my dear boy! How are you? How are the plans coming along?- he said, greeting me with a big smile on his handsome face. He looked about 30 years old and with his long blond hair he looked like a fallen angel.

Sire, I am afraid everything is falling apart, the plan I deviced is not working and all thanks to the fucking Potters— I said in a trembling voice.

What? Open your mind!- I didn't even feel his intrusion in my mind, he was that good with magic, I felt afraid, truly afraid after many years of schemes in his name.

ARE YOU STUPID! You may as well tell them what our plan was and who I am to your stupid Order! βασανιστήριο! Get out of here! And don't do stupid things, let me think a way to save the plan, and until I tell you otherwise leave the Potters and their friends and family alone—- I practically ran out of there, that curse hurt a lot more than the cruciatus and I knew it was only a warning.

Fawkes! Take me to Hogwarts!- and with a flash I disappeared and appeared in my office at Hogwarts.

Woops! Call Minerva, Severus and Molly, I want them here immediately!- the elf disappeared and after a couple of minutes they entered through the open floo of my office.

What is it Master? Have you found them?- said Molly in her banshee-like voice, obviously imagining all the Potter gold going to her vaults after the bethroral of Harry with one of her children.

No, there has been a change of plans. We are to leave them alone. I will tell you the next step when the time is right, now, Minerva, go and tell our friends of the change of plans, Severus I need the special pain potion and Molly be a dear and start your children educations about our vision for the Wizarding World, you are dismissed— I said, because something was true I was truly terrified of the Sire and if he said that we leave them alone, then we will leave them alone.

Even if he was in pain, in a way he felt relieved, his Sire would concoct a fool proof plan and together they would conquer the world.
