Too Many Dates
Chapter 21: Mall Dates
After Lincoln had thanked Annabeth for taking him to the mall, he made his way towards the ice cream store where Luan told him to meet her. He was eager to spend time with his sister despite the brief awkwardness that had befallen them after the accidental kiss. Lincoln still had to ask her about that but he decided he'd wait to see if she would bring it up. After finding out that Luna had a crush on him, not to mention the twins, Lincoln had an inkling that perhaps more sisters had crushes on him. It would definitely explain a lot.
As Lincoln approached the ice cream store, he stopped when he noticed that it wasn't his sister that was waiting for him. Standing outside of the store was a black haired, pale skinned girl with…a wonderful personality. Maggie was standing by the entrance of the store and she was glancing around seemingly looking for someone. But what caught Lincon's eye wasn't that it was Maggie who was waiting for him, no. It was what she was wearing that gave him pause.
Maggie normally wore a light blue shirt over a white long sleeved undershirt with black stripes and a black plaid skirt. She sometimes also had a purple sweater tied around her waist and she always wore white knee high socks and black boots. But this time Maggie was wearing what he could only describe as cosplay.
The normally somber girl was wearing an Eight of Spades costume. Lincoln could recognize the iconic dark grey cloak and hood that Maggie was wearing since he designed the character. The cloak was closed so he couldn't tell if she was wearing the rest of the outfit but he was pretty sure that she was. Another thing that he noticed was the…um…slight differences between the character he drew that was based off of his little sister and the girl in front of him. Maggie was two years older than him and she was more…developed than Lucy was. So even as she stood with a slight hunch, there was no real way to hide the character differences between the two.
As he approached her, Lincoln waved and gave the girl a large smile. "Hey Maggie, fancy meeting you here." He greeted.
Maggie locked eyes with him and her cheeks gained a rosy blush. "Lincoln." She murmured quietly, obviously pleased to see him.
Just as Lincoln was about to speak again, his phone rang indicating that he had received a text message. Pulling out his phone, Lincoln saw that Luan had texted him.
"Hey little brother, sorry but I won't be able to make it after all. I'm tied up with my current gig so I asked Maggie to fill in for me. I think you'll find that she's well suited for the role." Luan texted him.
"Okay but what are we doing here?" Lincoln texted back.
"I gave Maggie a list. Now be sure to do everything on it especially since this is your chance to make it up to the poor girl for leading her on and ghosting her after that mall date." Luan said.
At this, Lincoln paled. He looked up at the still somber girl and saw that she looked nervous, hopeful, and timid at the same time. He imagined that she was probably thinking about their last 'date' and wondering why he hadn't asked her out again.
"Alright, I'll do my best." Lincoln responded before he put his phone away on the inside of his shirt.
"So Maggie, Luan tells me that you're here to help her?" Lincoln asked her.
Maggie nodded. "Yes."
"And she also mentioned that she gave you instructions to follow?" Lincoln continued.
Again, Maggie nodded. "Yes." This time she pushed her cloak open to hand him a piece of paper with Luan's writing on it. As she did, Lincoln could confirm that she was indeed dressed in full Eight of Spades costume.
"And did she say why you had to dress up in cosplay?" Lincoln finally asked the question that he was honestly most curious about.
Maggie blushed. "I lost a bet." She said simply.
Lincoln just nodded. "Okay. Lucky you, you're not the only one who is wearing a costume."
At this, Maggie was about to ask him what he was referring to when she watched him grab ahold of his pants and shirt and with an impressive tug, he pulled off his clothes in one motion and underneath he wore his Ace Savvy costume. Lincoln then reached behind him and pulled out a mask to complete his hero transformation.
"Ta-da!" He explained as he struck his best hero pose. "Now you don't have to do this alone, Maggie."
Maggie, for her part, was struck silent. Well, more so than usual that is. She couldn't that the boy in front of her not only did not judge her for wearing a costume but also just happened to have one on himself. Luan had not warned her about his development and she was both mesmerized and impressed. Not to mention that she thought he looked dreamy too. She wasn't sure but Maggie could swear she felt a little blood trickle down her nose.
While Maggie was lost in thought, Lincoln took a moment to look at the paper that Maggie had given her. His sister had certainly written it and he almost fell over when he read the first line.
"Lincoln, after you've changed into your Ace Savvy costume, make sure to compliment Maggie on how well her costume looks. I made it for me buuuuut it was a little too big. Maybe she will be able to fill it out if you know what I mean. ;) after you've done that, I want you to show Maggie a good time to make up for how poorly it went for her after your mall date with her. She obviously still likes you since she agreed to help me so just go around and buy my usual supplies. I do need more stink bombs haha. Just try to have her home before dark, her parents don't let her go out too late. They're afraid she might like it too much. Love, Luan. Ps: Don't have TOO much fun, buster or you will be hearing from me!"
After he was done reading the letter, Lincoln quickly folded it once more before he made it disappear but sliding up his sleeve. He looked up at Maggie's patiently waiting face and he gave her a smile. If his sister was right, he had a major wrong to correct and wanted to make it up to her.
"Well, Maggie, it seems that my sister wants us to go on a supply run." Lincoln told her, sounding as excited as a brother running an errand for his sister could be. But he extended his hand out to her and flashed her his brightest smile. "But so long as I got you by my side, this should be tons of fun."
Maggie's blush intensified more than she ever thought possible. His smile was almost too much for her to bear and she instinctively hid herself deeper within her cloak. But before he could retrieve his hand back, she reached out and clasped his with hers. Luan had told her that he might offer to hold her hand and that she shouldn't hesitate to do so. After all, she was supposed to be a girl who had been ghosted and she needed to act the part. Though Maggie didn't think she had been ghosted since they still kept in contact with one another sharing the random text and meme.
With her hand in his, Lincoln gave it a gentle squeeze. "Alright, Maggie, let's go."

While Lincoln was at the mall with Maggie, 'Annabeth' had gone to park nearby. Thanks to Lisa, Lori was to ensure that whenever Lincoln ordered an Uber, she would be the only one to respond. She sighed as she got out and made her way to the Starbucks she had parked at. Whenever she wasn't driving Lincoln around, Lori had been adjusting to her life as 'Annabeth Chase'. In the home that she now lived in, Lisa had left several dossiers about her new life. Lisa had been very thorough and Lori had spent the past couple of days looking over the files and watching videos of the locations she supposedly had lived in before. It was strange, it was almost as if Annabeth had been a real person.
The home was a nice two story building with an attached garage and to her surprise, it was a smart home. It had solar panels, high tech security, and even motion sensors for the lights. It took some time to get used to all of that luxury and Lori was still adjusting. The home was also stocked with food, much to Lori's surprise. She had asked Lisa about it and apparently Lisa owned several 'safe' houses all over the country. The more she learned about her second youngest sister, the more Lori was beginning to secretly fear her. Lisa had always been scary but now Lori was scared to ask if Lisa was actually human or something not human.
But that wasn't all, Lisa had also given her access to what she liked to call 'Annabeth's resources' for the duration of the mission. Those resources included a passport, birth certificate, photos of her childhood, her parents, cousins, friends, grandparents, etc. Did Lori also mention that Annabeth also had a bank account? There was more money in there than Lori had ever seen in her life! Just how much money did Lisa have? Lori knew that Lisa had been in charge of their family's finances for a while now but this was ridiculous. Did her work for the government pay her that well? Lori didn't know, all she did know was that Lisa had given her permission to use the money as she saw fit.
While Lori had been lost in thought, she had been waiting in line to get her usual drink when she heard a voice behind her that sounded very familiar. She glanced over her shoulder and saw that Carol and Becky were standing behind her and they were giggling about something.
"And you just know that Luna is gonna love what we have planned for her." Becky said, trying but failing to contain her excitement. "I can't believe he managed to pull it off."
"I can believe it. Lincoln has always been amazing. And after what he did for Fiona, I wouldn't be surprised if he could get Mick Swagger to stop by." Carol said.
This was certainly surprising to Lori. Just what were her two friends talking about? Was Lincoln going to do something special for Luna?
"But do you think that Luna will be able to keep it in her pants till Monday?" Becky asked Carol. "Or do you think that she's going to give in to temptation?"
Lori almost gasped. They were talking about her sister Luna, right?
"Temptation? Is that what you're calling Lincoln's thing now?" Carol teased Becky albeit with blush. It was clear that she was still new to the whole flirty talk thing.
Becky giggled. "I have many names for my White Russian's mighty sword." She then leaned in and whispered. "But yes, do you think that Luna won't just do it with him tonight? I know that I can barely wait as it is."
Lori had heard the redhead's whisper and she couldn't believe what she was hearing. Since when did Luna also want to have sex with Lincoln? Out of all of her sisters, Luna was the last one she thought would be attracted to a boy much less Lincoln. Wasn't Luna gay? But before she could give it anymore thought it was almost her turn to order. But just as she was about to, she glanced over her shoulder once more and saw that the girls were looking up at the menu. She needed info and she decided that perhaps she could get it from someone other than her brother.
"Um…excuse me?" Lori said as she turned to face the two girls. They looked at her with confused but friendly faces. "I couldn't help but overhear you mentioning Lincoln. By chance it wouldn't happen to be Lincoln Loud, would it?"
Both girls looked surprised that she had mentioned his name. And Becky was the one who answered. "How do you know Lincoln?" She asked, her tone curious but not yet hostile. Yet her eyes seemed to taking her in, scanning her for any possible threats. Good. It meant that they were taking her brother's well-being seriously.
Lori/Annabeth blushed. "W-Well, I just met him a few days ago, you see. I Ubered him to the mall. We became friends during that ride."
This time it was Carol who spoke. She crossed her arms across her chest and frowned. "Friends, huh? What kind of friends?"
Lori had never seen Carol behave that way before. Normally she'd be very respectful and formal and perhaps a little friendly. But it seemed that if Lincoln was involved that she'd put away the good girl act and do what was needed to protect her boyfriend.
Lori/Annabeth raised her hands up in front of her. "Sorry, I didn't mean to pry. It's just, I don't really have any friends here since I just moved not too long ago. Lincoln is actually my only friend in this town."
Becky snorted. "Yea, that sounds like him alright." The mood seemed to change and both girls gave her a friendly smile. "Let me guess, his smile did it for you, huh?"
Lori nodded. "Among other things. He's a really sweet guy once you get to know him."
"I'm sorry, what's your name?" Carol asked.
"Oh my gosh, I can't believe I've been so rude! My name is Annabeth Chase and I just moved here from California." Lori said as she extended her hand towards the blonde girl.
"I'm Carol Pingrey." Carol introduced herself as she shook her hand.
"And I'm Becky Loud." Becky said with a grin. But before Lori could respond, Carol elbowed her. "Ouch, what!? It's going to be true someday."
"You are not marrying him anytime soon so don't start taking his last name before then, okay? People will get the wrong idea!" Carol hissed as she glanced around the shop.
Lori snapped her fingers. "Oh, you two must be some of his girlfriends." The two girls froze. They looked at the sun kissed blonde and stared with wide eyes. Seeing their reaction, she quickly waved her hands. "It's okay, he told me about you two."
"H-He told you?" Carol asked weakly.
"A-As in, you k-know…?" Becky added.
Lori nodded though she wondered if they understood that she just knew that they were dating. "Yes."
"A-And you're okay with it?" Carol asked again, her voice still trembling with worry and a little bit of fear.
"Why wouldn't I be? He seems like a smart kid so if you guys are dating then I'm sure that you're not taking advantage of him, right?" Lori asked. But she saw the look in their eyes and decided that perhaps they needed a more private place to talk. "Look, clearly this isn't the place to talk about this. If it will help put you at ease, why don't I buy us our drinks and then we go to my place to talk? My parents are on vacation so I have the place to myself."
The two girls shared a look and then nodded.

Lincoln had taken Maggie to the comic book store so that they could see if some of the comics that he had back ordered had arrived. Sadly they hadn't but he wasn't too surprised, sometimes it could take awhile. They had finished most of their business early on and now Lincoln was just walking around, hand in hand, with Maggie. The girl had been reluctant to let go of his hand so Lincoln continued to do so.
And while they were getting plenty of stares due to them being in full costume, Lincoln noticed that most of those stares were aimed at Maggie. He didn't know how Luan had made that costume (though he suspected that Leni had a hand in it) but it was definitely not the right size for Maggie. It seemed like it was a size too small for her and it…emphasized some of her features. Her bust, which was rather impressive for a 14 year old, was now pushing against the fabric and it seemed like a miracle that it hadn't ripped yet. It was a testament to Leni's sewing skills that it held up to such a massive strain. And while Lincoln couldn't see her backside because of the cloak, he could only imagine that a similar situation was occurring back there as well. Thankfully the cloak helped to hide her for the most part but Maggie couldn't be under it forever.
"Lincoln, is that you?" A voice called out to him.
Maggie and Lincoln turned towards the sound of the voice and they saw Girl Jordan standing a few feet from them carrying a couple of shopping bags. When she saw that it was him, she immediately brightened until she saw that he was holding hags with Maggie.
"Hey Girl Jordan, how have you been? I haven't seen you in a couple of weeks." Lincoln greeted as he made his way towards his friend. He let go of Maggie's hand in order to give Girl Jordan a hug. The girl eagerly returned the hug before she glanced over at Maggie.
"Lincoln, who's your friend?" Jordan asked, her voice friendly but her eyes not.
"Girl Jordan, this is Maggie. She's a friend of mine and Luan's. Maggie, this is Girl Jordan, one of my oldest childhood friends." Lincoln said, introducing the two girls.
Maggie quickly latched onto Lincoln's left arm as she stared directly at Girl Jordan. "We're on a date." She said in her usual somber tone but with a noticeable edge to it for anyone that wasn't named Lincoln Loud.
Jordan was shocked. She took a step back and looked at Lincoln for confirmation. "I-Is this true!?"
Lincoln had been a little surprised when he suddenly felt Maggie cling to his arm and even more so when he felt her breasts pressing into his shoulder. She was taller than him, after all. But still, he kept as calm a face as he could while he answered his friend. "Y-Yes."
Girl Jordan actually looked devastated while Maggie looked smug. "O-Oh…s-sorry to interrupt…" A dejected Jordan said as she turned to leave.
"Wait, Girl Jordan." Lincoln called out to her. When she glanced over her shoulder, he continued. "Let's hang out soon, okay? I'd like to catch up with you."
This seemed to brighten her mood and she gave him a nod. "Okay. It's a date." She said with a smile. And when Lincoln nodded, Girl Jordan gave him a final wave before she left.
Maggie had not been happy about the interruption but she didn't blame the girl. After all, how could one resist being attracted to the Sun when its radiance blanketed the land? After that, they continued on their way to get something to eat.
End of chapter.
