A/N: Sorry everyone for the long delay. I am working 12 hour shifts for the next month. Updates will be scarce. Apologies, but my mind is fried by end of day, and I am too tired to write. The guest that asked about Rebecca Shaw, she was here for only a year in 2009. She was Emily's twin. When she left, she ran into a man name Aaron while on a flight to Paris, and he looked exactly like Zander.
Chapter 20
Sam McCall was good at many things, but being a con artist was at the very top of the list of her abilities. She always got her mark. That was until she met Jason Morgan, and fell in love with him. Now because of that love, she made the biggest mistake she had ever made. She let her jealousy and anger get the better of her, and she gave up the last hold she had on Jason. Danny was the only thing left keeping Jason in her life, and now that was gone too.
Sam never intended on outing herself, but Jason just made her so furious. She never factored Elizabeth into the equation, and that is where she went wrong. She never expected Elizabeth to have a stronger hold on Jason's heart than she did, but the proof was in his actions.
How dare he give it all up for Saint Elizabeth? She hated that woman more than she had ever hated anyone. Even more than Carly. She was a constant thorn in her side. Every single time she thought she was home free with Jason, the insipid little nurse would show up and ruin it.
What did Jason see in her anyway? Why did he care so much? She took his son away from him, and he still never waivered in his support of her. Saint Elizabeth can do no wrong in Jason's eyes. She knew that Elizabeth had saved his life a couple of times but so had she. Gratitude will only get you so far. What was it about the nurse that made Jason so loyal? She would never understand their connection.
Then Sam's thoughts drifted to Dante. What was he going to say? She knew that she was probably going to lose everything now. She was just starting to build a life with him. A life she could be proud of. Now they were probably going to be over once the truth came out.
They were supposed to take advantage of their alone time while Danny was with Jason, but he got called into the station again. She was relieved because she wasn't sure she would be able to control her emotions around him. She had to figure out a plan to save her relationship. Some how. Some way.
All Sam knew was, she needed a drink. She did her best thinking while having a cocktail. She wished that Spinelli was around. She could use some of his worshipping ways right about now. He would tell her how perfect she was for Jason. She knew the little twerp was in love with her, and she used that to her advantage. He was clueless. He even helped in changing the results of the paternity test without his own knowledge. Stupid computer dweeb taken down by a pair of tits.
As soon as Sam walked into The Floating Rib, all four ladies from the hospital turned around to see who entered. Sam immediately locked eyes with the bane of her existence. "Just fucking great," Sam muttered.
Elizabeth couldn't believe that Sam was standing in front of her. She wanted to throttle her for what she did to Jason. She was about to get up and give her a piece of her mind when Epiphany stopped her.
"Don't engage," Epiphany instructed.
"Epiphany, there is no way in hell I am going to let that little..."
Epiphany put her hand over Elizabeth's mouth halting her rant. "Elizabeth, don't do anything that will cause issues for Jason."
As soon as she heard Jason's name she calmed. Epiphany was right. If Jason was going to win custody of Danny, she was going to have to be good and not cause a scene. If she caused any fights then Jason would surely lose his chance. So as much as it pained her to do so, Elizabeth turned back around, and did her best to ignore Sam.
Sam wasn't having any of it though. She was about to lose everything at this point. So what did it matter if she attacked Elizabeth. "You think you won don't you?" Sam yelled across the bar.
"Ignore her," Terry advised. "She is just trying to get a rise out of you."
"You want me to kick the bitch's ass for you?" Britt chimed in. "I haven't duked it out with someone in a while. I am amped."
Britt eyed Sam up and down. It was like looking at a shrunken and watered down version of herself. "I can take her." Britt finished.
"Calm down killer." Terry stopped her. "Nobody is fighting anyone. We are professionals and ladies."
"Screw that. Let me cut a bitch!" Britt said, feeling feisty.
Sam ignored Britt, not wanting any part of that. That whole family was insane. She walked over to Elizabeth, spinning her around in her chair. "Don't ignore me bitch."
Elizabeth stood from her chair, ready to brawl. "What the hell is your problem Sam?"
"You're my problem," Sam said poking Elizabeth in her chest. "You are always ruining things with me and Jason."
Before Elizabeth got a chance to respond, Epiphany grabbed Sam by the hair, spun her around and pinned her against the bar.
"Listen you little bitch," Epiphany began. "I suggest that you take your low rent, skanky ass to another bar to drown your sorrows. This is our spot and you are not about to come in here and ruin our night out. I am fairly sure that Elizabeth had zero to do with your recent marital problems with Jason Morgan. Now Elizabeth has been more than fair with you over the years. I suggest you leave before I let her loose on you. I won't be responsible for what happens."
Sam remained silent. She knew that Epiphany could kill her if she wanted to. This was one woman that Sam did not want to mess with, but when she mentioned Elizabeth, Sam scoffed. "Please, that bitch couldn't hurt me on her best day."
"Shut the fuck up!" Epiphany yelled.
Sam closed her mouth, terrified by Epiphany's tone.
"Now you are going to turn around on those cheap ass hooker boots that you walked in on, and stroll right back out of here. Nod your head if you understand me."
Sam nodded.
"Okay, I am going to let you go. Don't try anything funny."
As soon as Epiphany let her go, Sam attempted to leave but Elizabeth stopped her. "Sam, I just want to know why? You say you love Jason. Then why?"
"That's none of your damn business," Sam spat.
"See that's where you are wrong Sam," Elizabeth explained. "It is very much my business. Danny loves Jason and Jake. How do you think Danny's going to feel when he finds out everything he thought about his family was a lie? How could you do that to your own son?"
"You are such a hypocrite Elizabeth. You sit there on your holier-than-thou thrown and look down upon everyone else. Meanwhile, you are a bigger slut than most of us in this town. How many one night stands did you have now? How many paternity lies have you told? How many baby daddy's is it now? How is what I did any different than what you did?"
Elizabeth couldn't help herself. She smacked Sam hard across the face. "The difference is, I was trying to do the right thing for everyone. You did this on purpose to cause maximum pain. You wanted to hurt Jason for choosing Carly and Sonny over you and Danny. You were pissed and you wanted him to suffer."
Sam held her cheek for a moment. Elizabeth hit harder than she had expected, but she didn't let the pain show.
"Oh no, poor put upon Elizabeth. Stop being a fucking martyr all of your life. You know damn well you took Jake away from Jason to punish him for not loving you. You are no different than me. When you realized that Jason didn't want you, that's when you decided to keep Jake away from him. If he wanted you back then, you would have jumped at the chance. That's why you went back to Lucky. You were just an incubator."
Elizabeth balled up her fist this time and attempted to punch Sam, but this time Sam was ready for her and blocked her punch. When Sam went to punch Elizabeth back, she was stopped by Epiphany. "I don't think so."
"What, Elizabeth can't fight her own battles?" Sam taunted. "Why don't you let her go Epiphany. I will squash that little bitch."
"I don't plan on letting one of my nurses dirty herself up by sparring with the likes of you. She doesn't need to go to jail for brawling with a skank. You're not worth it."
"Epiphany, let me at her!" Elizabeth said, trying to get past her. "Let's take it outside bitch. I've been wanting to kick your ass for years." Elizabeth was getting worked up. The liquor was starting to flow through her veins, and she was feeling feisty. "It's about time someone put you in your place."
"Oh yeah? You and what army?" Sam countered.
"Don't make me tell everyone in this bar what you did Sam. I am sure you don't want that dirty laundry being aired. Wouldn't want that white wash of yours to be ruined."
"You wouldn't dare."
"Oh yeah? You don't think I will? Don't tempt me Sam."
"No you won't, because it will hurt Jason." Sam said smirking, knowing that above all, Elizabeth would protect Jason.
Elizabeth felt the twinge in her heart for Jason. She knew what Sam was trying to do.
"I am pretty sure you already took care of hurting Jason. Nothing I can say will change that fact. Now everyone will just know what a dirty slime ball you really are. Who knows, maybe I won't have to do a damn thing. Maybe I will just tell Carly. Once she finds out what you lied about, you are dead."
At this point Carly walked into The Floating Rib. She had her own plans of drowning her sorrows in a bottle, but once she heard her name drop from Elizabeth's lips, she came in hot.
"What did you lie about this time Sam?" Carly jumped into the conversation.
Sam rolled her eyes. Just what she needed. "As usual, Carly comes in sticking her nose where it doesn't belong," Sam scoffed.
Carly turned her attention to Elizabeth. "What did she do Elizabeth? Is it something to do with Jason?"
As much as she wanted to rat Sam out, Elizabeth knew that doing it in the middle of the bar probably wasn't the best idea. Jason was a very private person. This would hurt him too. Plus, it felt good to hold something over Carly's head. "Jason is fine Carly. Physically anyway. You will find out soon enough."
"Really Elizabeth? You're going to stand up for Sam of all people? Do you know what she says about you?"
"Probably the same things that you say about me. I don't care Carly. I don't care what either of you think about me. I only care about Jason and his well-being."
"Oh okay. I get it." Carly said smiling. "Sam did something to Jason and you are trying to protect him. In that case I approve."
"Something like that," Elizabeth confirmed.
"You know muffin, you surprise me sometimes."
Elizabeth rolled her eyes. "Oh yeah? How did I surprise you this time Carly? I am dying to hear this one."
"Never mind that. What did Sam do to Jason?"
"Elizabeth don't," Sam begged her. "This is not the place for this."
Meanwhile, the bartender was on the phone contacting Jason. He would want to know what was going on with his lady.
"Morgan." Jason answered.
"Mr. Morgan, you told me to call if there were any issues with Miss Webber."
"What happened? Is Elizabeth alright?"
"Well, Miss McCall and Mrs. Corinthos are here and they are getting into it with Miss Webber."
"Thank you. I will be right there."
After Jason hung the phone up, he called Cam downstairs. "Cam, can you come down here for a minute?"
Cam immediately came downstairs when Jason called. "What's up Jason?"
"Something came up and I need to run out. Would you be able to keep an eye on Danny for me?"
"Sure, is everything okay? Is there anything I can do?"
"You are already doing it. You are a great big brother. You have your mom's heart. I won't be long."
Cam nodded. He knew he wasn't going to get anything out of Jason. "If this has anything to do with my mom, just keep her safe Jason."
The kid was too smart for his own good. "I will." Jason promised.
Jason jumped on his bike and gunned it out of the driveway as fast as he could. Elizabeth, Carly, and Sam in a room together was never a good thing. He just hoped he was able to make it there before there was any bloodshed.
Rebecca sat in the corner watching the fight transpire in front of her. She had a front row seat and nobody had a clue she was sitting there. Of course Carly Corinthos and Elizabeth Webber would be right in the middle of it all. Two of the biggest hypocrites in town. Actually, all the women in town were pathetic. It must be something in the water, Rebecca thought.
Rebecca glanced up at the clock on the wall. It was ten o'clock on the nose. Zander would be arriving to the bar very soon. She hoped that his flight didn't get delayed. She was enjoying the show immensely, but she couldn't risk getting discovered. At least not yet. She put her head back down and took a sip of her wine. Not much longer.
Just then she saw a figure in the back entrance and she glanced over. It was Zander. He was right on time. He waved her over without being spotted by anyone. It wasn't time yet to reveal themselves. Although seeing Elizabeth at the bar had thrown Zander for a loop. He wanted to walk right over to her. She was more beautiful than he remembered. He was lucky enough to have her in his bed at one point. Even if it was to get back at Jason and Ric. He didn't care. Elizabeth was the one that he always wanted, but she was too wrapped up in Jason's world to notice him other than revenge sex.
Zander's thoughts drifted to Cameron. He wondered what he was like. He hated that he never got to see his son grow up, but was thankful that he had a great mom like Elizabeth. He hoped that while he was here he would be able to talk to Cam. He wasn't sure how this all would transpire. He was Aaron right now but once the truth came out, maybe he would be able to get to know his boy. He would never regret the one night stand with Elizabeth. It resulted in his son.
They would have never worked. She was too in love with Jason. It worked out for the best in the end. He had his wife Rebecca, who at the moment had no idea she was his wife. He made a good life with her, but seeing Emily brought back some memories. They were married at one point. He had loved her so much. He longed for her when he left for Paris.
Even when he first hooked up with Rebecca, he only did so because she was her twin. Then he got to know Rebecca and she stole his heart. She was a special woman and once they got their huge payout from Victor Cassadine, they would be off to an island in the Pacific to retire. Emily loved Nikolas anyway. No matter how hard he tried, Nik was the one that had her heart. Perhaps he settled at first, but Rebecca really was his world.
Rebecca was able to slink out of the booth without anyone noticing, and she joined Zander.
"Hey Aaron, I was wondering if you were going to show up on time." Rebecca used the fake name just in case other's were listening. She had to get used to it anyway.
"Mr. Cassadine is very punctual."
"So when are we going to do this?"
"Let's get some sleep for tonight. From what it seems, this town has enough entertainment for the evening."
"Tell me about it, and those two sluts Carly and Elizabeth are right in the middle."
"Did you catch what they were fighting about?" Zander questioned her. "We could use the information later on."
"Yes, they were fighting about Jason Morgan," Rebecca advised him. "I like the way you think by the way," she said proudly.
No, it couldn't be. Elizabeth was still messed up with the likes of Jason Morgan?
"Wow, I guess the more things change, the more they stay the same. I left this town and Elizabeth and Carly were all over Jason."
"Well he was pretty hot back then. There is no way he is still good looking. The man's like 50 now isn't he?"
Zander raised his eyebrow at his wife. "Not you too?!" Zander said flabbergasted. "What is it about this guy that has all the women drooling? Unreal."
Rebecca didn't see what the big deal was. It's not like she was married or anything. "What? I just call it like I see it. I am single and I have eyes."
"Just focus on the job and keep your mind off of Jason Morgan's assets." Zander spat. He knew he was being a jealous husband, but the way she talked about Jason made him angry.
"Yes sir." She wasn't sure what his problem was, but figured he probably was jet lagged, and just needed a good night's sleep.
"Let's go to bed. We can deal with the town tomorrow." Zander grabbed her hand and started to lead her up the stairs to their room.
Jason made it to The Floating Rib in record time. He pushed his bike to the limits. He needed to make sure Elizabeth didn't end up in jail tonight. He knew that she wasn't going take any crap from Sam or Carly. When he walked inside, he could see that Sam, Carly, and Elizabeth were squared off. He got there just in time.
Elizabeth could feel Jason's presence as soon as he entered the bar. He always had that effect on her. "Jason," Elizabeth whispered. Jason locked eyes with his fiancée and smiled.
Carly and Sam's heads both whipped around to see a very angry Jason Morgan glaring at them.
"Would you two like to tell me what you are doing attacking my fiancée?"
Elizabeth couldn't keep the smile off of her face. Her man decided to drop that amazing little bomb. She was ready to watch Carly's head explode in 3, 2, 1..."
"What did you just say?" Carly did not hear him right. "Did you say fiancée?"
"Yes Carly, that's exactly what I said. My fiancée." Jason took the opportunity to walk over to his lady and plant one on her. "Hello my love."
"Hey baby," Elizabeth said, letting the term of endearment float off of her tongue naturally. "What brings you by? Are the boys okay, or are you here to rescue me?" Elizabeth teased him.
Sam was taken aback at Jason's full on display of love and affection for Elizabeth. What the hell happened to the Jason Morgan that she fell in love with and who was this imposter? If Jason had given her this kind of attention when they were together, she never would have strayed or divorced him.
Carly was also seething. It made her sick to her stomach to watch Jason fawn all over Princess Purity. "Jason, please tell me you aren't serious."
"As serious as a heart attack. I have let you and Sonny dictate my life over the years. Well no more. Elizabeth and I are getting married on Christmas and there is not a damn thing you can do to stop me. The days that you and Sonny ruling my life are over. That debt has been paid in full."
"Jason she is just going to hurt you."
"Like you did? Elizabeth would never be that trashy." Direct hit. Carly's shoulders slumped from Jason's words. He was the one person who's opinion mattered to Carly. She was heartbroken.
"Jason you don't mean that. I love you. You love me. Elizabeth is the one that kept your son away from you. She is the evil one. We love each other. We were going to get married. You can't tell me that you don't love me anymore. You told me that it had always been me. That couldn't have been a lie."
Elizabeth couldn't take anymore. She had to speak up. She was sick to death of people expecting the worst from her, and definitely sick of Carly always being in between her and Jason's relationship.
"Screw you Carly. You know nothing about me and Jason. Leave him alone. He doesn't want to marry your skanky ass. You'd think you would get the hint after 23 years of rejection. He only was going to marry you for the business. The rest was a lie he told himself to get through it. You betrayed him and you will never be in his bed again. He is mine. Live with that."
"I will not live with it, and I will fight for Jason. I know more than enough about you two. I know that you took Jason's son away from him and gave him to my good for nothing cousin. He didn't want your ass, so you decided to punish him for choosing Sam over you."
"That's funny. I seem to remember you telling me that it was best that Jason wasn't the father. Or that the baby couldn't be mine cause I was still working. See that's where we differ Carly. We both love Jason, but you only care about what he can do for you or give you. I love Jason for who he is, not for what he has. I have never once cared about Jason's money. He could be dirt poor and I would still love him. He is my life and I am not afraid to let everyone know. You people all turned him against me, or tried to, but as mad as he got at me, Jason never gave up on me."
"That's right, and I never will." Jason told everyone in the room. "Elizabeth Webber, soon to be Morgan, you were always the risk too big for me to take. I never wanted my life to hurt you or the boys. That is why I gave up the life. I want to prove to you that you have always been the one. You deserve to have it all."
"Wow Jason, where was all of this love and devotion when we were married?" Sam questioned. "Why wasn't Danny and I good enough for you?"
Jason glared at Sam. He could feel the anger beginning to boil inside. "If I were you, I would keep my mouth closed about Danny."
"Oh yeah Jason? What are you going to do? Put a hit out on me?" Sam asked incredulously. "You already threatened to kill me once. We know that you won't go through with it. You love me too much."
"I don't need to put a hit out on you to punish you Sam. I have more than enough to bring you to your knees legally. Don't fuck with me," Jason warned.
Message received. The tone in Jason's voice left no room for any misunderstandings.
"As for you." Jason directed his attention back to Carly. "I am giving you one warning Carly, and that's it. You fail to comply with my wishes, and we are done for good. I know you cannot seem to control yourself when you are around Elizabeth, and since she is going to be my wife, she trumps all. You will lose every single time. So unless you want to be out on your ass, you will keep your opinions to yourself. Do I make myself clear?"
Carly bit her tongue to hold in the retort she wanted to give Jason. She knew she couldn't push him. At least not right away. She would have to work on him later. "Crystal."
"I bet that had to hurt," Epiphany whispered to Britt.
Britt busted out laughing.
Everyone in the room stared at her.
"What? I get giggly in intense situations." Britt covered. "You guys are a real bummer."
Jason and Elizabeth gave her the death glare.
"Wow, tough crowd," Britt said awkwardly. "Bartender!"
Jason turned his attention to Elizabeth. "Do you want to get out of here?"
"Do you have your bike?"
"I knew you only liked me for my bike."
"You know it baby. Now let me ride that hog."
"Yeah, you get him Biz," Terry yelled. "Go ride your cowboy. Whoop Whoop!"
Elizabeth buried her head in Jason's shoulder embarrassed by her best friend's outburst.
"Your friend is a hoot," Jason whispered.
"Yeah, and she's blitzed," Elizabeth added.
"You two are disgusting," Carly said with venom in her voice.
"Nobody invited you here Carly," Elizabeth informed her. "So if we are so disgusting, why don't you just leave."
"You shut up!" Carly pointed her finger in Elizabeth's face.
Elizabeth grabbed Carly's finger and twisted it, causing Carly to shriek. "Keep that diseased finger away from my face before I break it."
Carly was surprised by Elizabeth's strength. "Are you going to let her talk to me this way Jason?"
Jason put his arms on Elizabeth's shoulders to calm her. "Settle down Rhonda Rousey."
"Don't you dare try to defend her Jason." Elizabeth was about to bolt.
"That's not what I meant." Jason said grabbing Elizabeth by the arm to pull her back towards his embrace. "I am not standing up for Carly. I don't want you getting into a brawl and having to explain to the boys why you are in jail for the night." Jason voiced his concerns.
"Oh," was all that Elizabeth could muster. She felt silly for not trusting Jason.
Sam rolled her eyes. "Give me a break."
"Do you have something to say Samantha or should I say Angela?" Jason asked.
"Jason don't start," Sam begged.
"Don't start what Sam? You don't think I have forgotten about you? You don't think I am going to destroy you for what you did?"
Carly was just dying to know what they were talking about. "Jason, what did Sam do? Elizabeth said it was a huge lie but wouldn't tell me. What's going on?"
"Normally I would tell you it's none of your business, but why shouldn't I air Sam's dirty laundry? Sam had no problem backstabbing me. Why shouldn't I tell the entire bar what she has done?"
"Don't Jason," Sam begged. "Please, if you ever loved me."
"See, the thing is Sam, I never even knew you, so how could I possibly love you? I loved the idea of you. You filled most of the void that Elizabeth left when we parted ways. You were like a chameleon. You just changed into whatever it was I needed at the time so I wouldn't leave your ass. You accepted whatever I gave you. I went to prison for Michael. What part of that says I love you Sam?"
"I hate you."
"Well the feelings mutual. So I guess it doesn't matter if I tell Carly then."
"Jason please," Sam begged again.
Jason felt nothing but contempt for her. It was his own fault for taking in Sonny's stray. He deserved this pain for walking away from Elizabeth, Jake and Cam.
"You want to know what Sam did Carly?"
"Yes."
"How about you Epiphany? Terry? Britt? Everyone?"
Everyone nodded their heads.
"My lovely ex-wife here decided that while we were married, that she would fuck not only John McBain, but Franco Baldwin as well." Jason spat, his voiced laced with venom.
Everyone's faces showed their shocked expressions, except for Elizabeth and Epiphany.
Carly was the first to comment of course. "You whore. I supported you. I pushed Jason towards you. How could you do that to him?"
"Yeah, you're one to talk Carly," Sam countered. "You would know all about betraying Jason."
"But wait, there's more," Jason jumped in.
It was Epiphany's turn to laugh out loud. She turned to Britt. "He's usually not this funny. Jason Quartermaine must have been a jokester."
Jason glared at her.
"You're glare doesn't work on me Morgan. You may have a sense of humor now, but I still see that you haven't lost the grumpiness." Epiphany teased him causing one side of Jason's mouth to lift up.
"Like I was saying before I was rudely interrupted," Jason said glaring at Epiphany again. "Not only was she whoring around behind my back, but I was just informed today that Danny is not my son."
Gasps could be heard from around the room. Sam's face fell. He did it. He left her out to slaughter.
"How could you?" Carly asked, the shock evident in her voice.
Since the cat was out of the bag, Sam decided to give up the niceness. She was who she was after all. A con.
"It was actually pretty easy Carly. You were front and center helping me right along too. Anything to keep me away from Sonny right? You just couldn't wait to shove me down Jason's throat. I knew how much you hated Elizabeth and I fed off of that. You played right into my hands and made it so much easier to scam Jason. You should pat yourself on the back. Well played."
Jason could feel the anger building inside. Sam was right. Carly was right there, front and center leading him astray. Leading him away from Elizabeth. Carly and Sonny were both the most selfish human beings on the planet, and he fell for it all. He was a fool.
Elizabeth could see that all of this was getting to Jason. She could tell he was feeling guilty about leaving them. She wrapped her arms around his waist and held onto him tight. "Remember baby, we are focusing on the present. Don't go there," Elizabeth soothed him.
Jason couldn't have loved her more in this moment if he tried. She was truly his guiding light. His saving grace. She was his world and he knew without a shadow of a doubt that Elizabeth Webber was his soulmate.
Some people are just inexplicably bonded. Drawn by forces beyond their own comprehension. They have no choice but to gravitate towards one another. Destined by fate to keep crossing paths until they finally get it right. The quote by L.B. Simmons always stuck in his mind. This was them getting it right. Once and for all.
"Thank you for reminding me. What would I do without you?" Jason asked.
"You are never going to have to find out ever again." Elizabeth promised him.
Jason liked the sound of that. "Can we get out of here now?"
"I thought you would never ask."
"Ladies?" Elizabeth turned her attention to her friends at the bar. It's been fun but I am needed on the back of a bike. Do you want me to call you all a cab or an Uber, or are you staying for a bit?"
"I am going to stay and take care of the inebriated sisters for a while," Epiphany told her. "I will try to get some water and coffee into them before I send them on their way."
"Hey, we can take care of ourselves," Britt said offended. "I am an adult," Britt slurred her words before hiccupping.
Epiphany patted Britt on the head like a child. "Of course you can." Britt smiled triumphantly.
Then they glanced over at Terry who was now passed out with her head on the bar.
"Our Joint Chiefs of Staff everyone," Elizabeth joked. "I am glad those two aren't running the hospital right now. We'd all be in danger."
"I'll say," Epiphany agreed. "Well alright woman. Go enjoy your man."
"I plan on it." Elizabeth told her friend.
Jason and Elizabeth started to walk out of the bar hand and hand but were stopped by a protesting Carly.
"Jason, you can't seriously be leaving right now. You can't drop a bomb like that and just leave. I have questions."
"I really don't care if you have questions Carly. I came to make sure my fiancée wasn't brawling. My little Lizzie can be quite feisty."
Carly rolled her eyes. "Oh please. Little miss innocent over here couldn't hurt a fly. That's why she isn't right for you Jason. She can't handle the life."
"I wouldn't want her to. Why would any woman want to be in this life? God I made so many mistakes over my misguided loyalty to you and Sonny. When really you two just took advantage of me. My mind was that of a child and I didn't know any better. I am glad I have finally broken free from that hold you both had on me. The only person or people that have a hold on my life and heart now are Elizabeth and my sons. Now if you will excuse us."
Jason and Elizabeth walked out of the bar ignoring a screaming Carly as they walked out. They both needed to feel the wind.
