"I can never understand how normal humans can survive a fall like that and survive unscathed."
"It's because they're heroes!"
Izuku looked starry-eyed as he watched the ongoing spectacle. In front of the two children, a hero whose current name is unknown stood up from the crater he was lodged in after falling from a few stories.
Michio's pretty sure if it was just a normal person, there would be a red smear on the ground by now, traumatizing both him and Izuku. But no, for some reason, heroes, and by extension, everybody else in the world, have some kind of superhuman endurance, be it surviving from a two-story drop with limited injuries, getting punched in the head dozens of times, or Michio's most unfavorite, being exploded on with mini-explosions.
He looked to the side and saw his twin brother sporting a few bandages over his arms. A scowl made its way onto his face the moment his eyes made contact with the dressing.
'If Bakudog uses his quirk on Izu one more time, I swear I'm gonna rip him a new asshole.'
While he was busy thinking up ways to humiliate Bakugo, their once-friend-now-turned-bully, the hero who was still fighting the relatively unknown villain, wrapped his arms around the struggling villain.
"It's over, villain! Lightning Touch!" The villain yelped with a very anime-like yell as dozens of volts surged through the villain's body. And in spectacular anime fashion, the villain plopped to the ground and survived without any sign of exterior damage.
Though internal injuries may occur, Michio deduced that it wasn't that likely with the anime logic this world ran on.
And just like that, the villain was stopped and the hero saved the day. The crowd went wild as they cheered for the hero, and the hero in question accepted all of the praise with a vibrant smile on his face.
While Izuku was cheering for the hero along with the crowd, Michio was neutral during the entire event. How could he cheer, knowing that this outlook of heroes versus villains was a very toxic one to have?
Michio moved to grab Izuku, but looking at his smiling face, he stopped.
'I'll let him have this. God knows he needs this for the following years to come.' Michio desperately wanted to snap Izuku out of his hero worship, but knowing the plot of the MHA-verse, the only candidates suited for OFA are Izuku or Melissa Shield.
He's read the manga up to the latest chapter. Michio knows the side effects of OFA when given to a quirked individual.
That said, AFO is the endgame of this universe, and Michio's power, while not counted as a quirk, he still fears that AFO may be able to snatch it away from him.
Just imagining AFO using the power of the various Aspects within Runeterra made Michio's skin crawl.
"Alright, Izu, come on. Mom's waiting for us back home." Snapping himself out of that horrifying thought, Michio grabbed Izuku's shoulder and dragged him away from the crowd and the incoming police.
"Nii-san! But my autograph!"
"You can get it next time we run into… Uhh, what was his hero name again?"
"Voltron." Izuku quickly said while clutching his Hero Analysis for the Future notebook.
"Yes, you can have his autograph when we run into him again."
"But… But…" Izuku tried to come up with excuses, but the thought of making their mother worry made him think otherwise. "Okay."

'I'm already six years old, huh…' Michio had mulled that thought over for the past few minutes. In just seven more years, canon will start, and with his presence, he has no idea what the future holds because of the butterfly effect. Will Izuku still get OFA? Will someone else get it? In that case, the unlucky sap will have their lifespan cut short.
From the theories he read back in his past life, maybe about fifteen years max after receiving the quirk?
A question for another time, perhaps. Right now, however, Michio has another problem to deal with, that being how in the everliving hell does he train with his quirk? Refreshing his memories of the lore of the MHA-verse, if the HPSC gets wind of the true capabilities of his power, it won't end well for him or his family.
From what he gathered from experiments in his room (Izuku only knowing about the summoning weapons part of his quirk), Michio knew he could summon the various weapons the champions wielded, at least those counted as a weapon and not an extension of their body, and their abilities in a lore-wise sense.
So basically, if he wanted to, Michio could just create a motherfucking star and throw it at Shigaraki to destroy canon, but even that comes with its own set of problems.
That being, his body can't handle the sheer amount of power the ability is generating. Creating a star would most likely disintegrate everything around it, and that included Michio. Hell, it could even spell the end of the world since, no matter how small, a star is still a star.
But thanks to the god that put him here in the MHA-verse, Michio's star-making capabilities were downgraded, but he still ain't gonna create a damn star, for obvious reasons.
So the only thing he could experiment with, albeit with some extreme safety precautions, was the power of everybody's favorite purple man. And no, it's not Thanos, but Ryze, the unofficial main character of League, with whom some, maybe most of the community, agree.
The first time he used it, he was scared shitless. Who wouldn't in his situation? The quirk he showcased back in kindergarten was summoning a decorative gun with no trigger and has already been recorded in the government's quirk registry database.
Now picture that same dude getting his skin painted purple with runic markings scattered across his entire body. That was an instant red flag for the HPSC, which will, in turn, land him in some kind of facility within the HPSC's organization. A fate Michio didn't want to come to pass.
Fortunately, just wanting it to go away made it vanish and turned him back to normal.
After getting that all sorted out, he tried blasting runic magic toward some bottles that were in the corner of the room. All that happened was the bottles were blasted with energy and exploded, leaving a black scorch mark on the ground.
The scolding he received from his mother that day was something he would never forget.
"Nii-san!" Michio was snapped out of his thoughts when his twin brother looked him in the eye with a pout. "Finally! I've been calling you for a long time!"
"… How long was a long time?" Michio asked back.
"Uh… Hmm… Two minutes?" Izuku was confused for a moment but answered with a bit of hesitation. "Yeah, maybe two minutes."
"Then that isn't a long time, Izu." Michio lightly knocked his twin's head with his knuckles. "At most, that was just a short few minutes."
"… There you go again." Izuku pouted once more at the teasing, causing Michio to laugh.
They were currently walking home after removing themselves from the hero and villain encounter a few streets back.
The city was lively as always, filled with heroes being heroes and villains scheming, plotting, and doing bad and horrendous things. At least that's what the media wants the populace to think.
It's absurd to think that a simple pickpocket could be labeled a villain and imprisoned for at least thirty years for using a non-threatening quirk to steal from loose pockets. Michio recalls the news clearly stating the quirk of the villain was just telekinesis on the very lower end, only being able to pick up about a few grams and slowly float in the air.
What's even worse, it was just the first offense. Michio would understand if it was a five-year sentence because of the inclusion of quirk usage. But a minimum of thirty years? That was just excessive for a simple pickpocketing case.
"Right, anyway." Shaking his head away from those thoughts, Michio grabbed Izuku by the head and brought him close. "Whaddaya say to some taiyaki?"
"Sure!" Izuku beamed happily, and the twins made their merry way toward the nearest stand before going home.
'I'll need to find someplace to train without alerting the HPSC, or those under their thumbs.'
