Lost

Chapter Ten

Sitting it on the bench beside the cottage within her mind, Sarah Jane look down at her lap where Theia laid with tears stains down her cheeks.

Stroking her back and remaining silent as the goddess sobs lessen and sleep finally settled in. She heard ever since the word they both said and broke her heart as well. To be lost in such darkness and holding on to her friend, the only one who could bring it to an end. At least Octavia can now have the peace. She would do her best to be there for her and help mend her broken heart.

"Rest. I will take care of everything from here on. Sarah Jane whispered.

Looking up at the sky, it steadily grew brighter until it engulfed them.

Opening her eyes, a searing pain welcomed Sarah Jane back to the land of the living. As she sat up in the guess bed, she bit her teeth as everyone's bone in her body screamed out in agony. Looking to her right, she smiled, for there was Chiron reading a book on that read gardening 101 on the cover.

"Find any good tips?"

"Not really. I still find it hard to even grow any vegetables," Chiron said, setting down the book.

"I guess I will have to give you some tips sometime." Sarah Jane said, followed by a dry cough and wince.

Chiron picked up a glass of a thick pink liquid with a straw sticking out of it.

"You'll feel better after you drink this," Chiron said.

Looking at the liquid In the glass, Sarah wasn't so sure. It looked pepto bismol, but the aroma that hit her nose was entirely different. Strawberries and cream with a hint of cherry tickled across her nostrils. Still unsure, but curious, she tried to reach out for the glass, but her arms refuse to move. Chiron lean in as Sarah Jane slowly sipped from the straw. Her eyes dance with delight as the flavors of strawberries, dances around her tongue. It was just as she thought strawberry, cherries and so cold it was just like a wonderful milk shake. Before she knew it, the glass was empty and the pain that paralyzed her body was but all gone.

"That taste great," Sarah Jane said.

"Ambrosia usually does." Chiron replied, setting the glass back on the table.

Sarah Jane smiled as the taste lingered her in mouth. "How long have I been asleep?"

"Two and half weeks."

Sarah Jane's eyes widen. "Wow, it sure didn't feel like it."

"That means you needed the rest as much as Theia does. How is she, by the way?"

"Sleeping," It will take her a while to move on."

"I understand. When the light diminished, we only found you on the ground. Octavia was nowhere in sight. The barrier around the camp was reinforced and all the destruction around the world was gone, as if it had never happened.

"Over millions of people saw what happened."

"But they don't remember it. The only ones that do are this in the camp.

Sarah Jane smiled. Theia had taken care of all of it, healing the world and making them forget. But if Octavia's body wasn't found, could that be that she is still alive?

A knock on the door jerk Sarah Jane out of her thoughts. She looked up as Chiron walked over to the door.

"Three worried teens have been waiting for you to wake up."

Sarah Jane smiled as the door opened. Percy, Annabeth, and Grover burst into the room. Chiron shook his head while Sarah Jane couldn't stop laughing. The darkness was gone and calm can finally return to the world.

Octavia, where ever you are, I hope you can finally have peace.

Elsewhere in a café, Octavia opened her eyes. She looked up at the various tables and chairs. Looking down at her hands, she pinched herself and winced.

"Oh well, you're awake." A voice said.

Sitting down across from Octavia was a smiling woman with short black hair and blue eyes.

"Am I dead?" Octavia asked.

"No, you're very much alive. I found you outside and brought you in. My name is Olivia, by the way."

"I'm Octavia,"

"Well, it's nice to meet you," Olivia said as she pulled out a black book that gave off a reddish glow. "I found this book beside you when I found you outside. Is it yours?"

Octavia stared at the black book, its aura pulsed faster the long she looked at it. All this thing ever did was bring her nothing but pain and misery. It even cost her friend to do the unthinkable to set her free. And now that she could finally think clearly, she could say the words she should have said those years ago.

"No, it's not,"

Olivia smiled, "Good."

Picking up the book, Olivia squeezed it gently and within a moment, the reddish glow faded and it turned to dust. Octavia eyes widen take back by this.

"Your not human?"

"And neither are you," Olivia replied as she extended her hand out to her. "Are you ready to start over?"

Octavia smiled as she laid her hand on Olivia's, who helped her stand up.

"Yes, I am."

Nodding, Olivia and Octavia walked through the café.

"I have many of these café's all over the world I pop in now and then to see how there going." This is our new café in Ealing. My current general manager left, and I was wondering if you would like the job.

Octavia nodded. "I don't know a lot about running a café, but I will take the job."

Olivia smiled, patting Octavia on the back. "That's fine. I will teach you everything.

Octavia smiled for the first time in a long time. It was not out of evil or darkness, but peace. She was no longer lost she had been found, and she vowed here and now not to ruin her second chance.
