A/N: What's up everybody! :) Ok, so last chapter almost everybody has gotten acquainted with one another and some were placed in either "Hero" or "Sidekick". This chapter picks up right after that and we'll see where everyone else will be placed. If anyone has any questions or concerns about this story? Feel free to PM me or leave a review and we'll chat. I'm also looking for a beta reader that can help out If anyone is interested.

On a side note: I'm also still looking for villain OCS from reviewers and authors, you'll find the submission form at the end of Ch - 2. And the Main Hookups for this story are Clark x Diana, Kara x Zach(?), Hal x OC(?), Billy x OC(?), Bruce x OC(?), Barry x Magenta(?).

Well, enough of the chit-chat, on with the story...

I don't own anything but maybe a few OCS.

Chapter - 4: Lunch break & New faces.

Year one...

"Man, that's so not cool,"

The League and their new friends were currently finding a table to sit at for lunch as Zach kept going on about being placed in Hero Support.

"I'm telling you, Boomer's gonna regret making me a sidekick." Zach ranted angrily, "Some day, it'll be too dark and he'll walk out to his car, he'll drop his keys and I'm gonna glow to help him find them."

"You got a problem with me?" Coach Boomer asked, suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

Zach's eyes went wide, before stammering. 'Me? Oh no, sir."

Boomer's eyes narrowed even more. "No what?"

Zach stiffened, "I, um, I a..."

Boomer suddenly shifted and formed, It turned out to be a teen with a shapeshifting ability. "I'm just messing with you, sidekick." The teen smirked at Zach and patted him on the arm, before walking away.

"You're not supposed to use your powers outside of the school gym!" Ethan reprimanded.

Most of the League shared a chuckle, before sitting down with their new friends and began enjoying their lunch.

"That was Impressive what you guys did back there," Ethan remarked with a smile. "I've never seen someone move as fast as you could, Barry."

Barry smirked at him, "Trust me, you haven't seen anything yet."

"I bet that's not the only thing your fast at." Magenta teased.

Barry glared a little at her, but when she smiled warmly at him, It caused him to look away with a blush. "Anyways, how strong are you, Kara?" Magenta asked, turning her attention away from Barry, who breathed a sigh of relief. "We've rarely seen a girl with super strength before."

Kara tapped her chin in thought, before she shrugged and said. "It depends really. I once helped Clark pull a planet."

Everybody - aside from Will, Layla and the rest of the League - fell into shock.

"M-Move a planet?" Ethan stammered in awe at such a feat. Sure, the Commander was known for being very strong, but for someone to literally move a planet; It was just so staggering to think about.

"Well, If you join the cheer squad, you won't have any trouble picking up a much heavier girl." Zach joked, which earned a few laughs from everyone, including a few girls.

Will, meanwhile, couldn't help, but feel like he was being watched from behind during lunch. He turned around in his seat and locked eyes with another teenage across the room. The teen seemed to be about the same age as Will with tanned skin, black hair with red streaks and wore black leather clothes. He was still giving the younger Stronghold a death glare as Will stared at him for a few more seconds, before turned back in his seat and asked. "Am I crazy or is that guy looking at me?"

His friends looked behind him and saw the teenager. "Dude, that's Warren Peace." Zach said, nervously.

"Who's that?" Will asked, confused.

"I've heard about him, his mom's a superhero and his dad's a supervillain, Barren Battle." Layla explained.

"Where does Will come in?" Hal asked.

"His dad busted Warren's dad, a life sentence too." Ethan explained.

"No chance for payroll either." Magenta added.

Will sighed, "Great, not even my first day in school and I already have an arch enemy." He muttered sarcastically.

Bruce frowned. If there was one thing he didn't like, It was bullying. And he wasn't going to stand by and let his new friend get pushed around, he turned around in his seat and gave Warren his Infamous Batglare.

The teen looked at Bruce, before his eyes widen in shock and quickly turn into fear. The bully hastly grabbed his lunch and made for any nearby exit. Bruce turned in his seat, smirking a little; his glare could tame even the wildest of dogs. Suddenly, another thought came to mind, causing Bruce to frown deeply. He knows he going to end up a sidekick. Perhaps, this was payback in a way... he wondered If Jason, Tim or Dick ever felt like this.

Clark, who sitting next to him, seemed to have notice and put a hand on his shoulder. "I know what your thinking, Bruce. Don't worry too much, even If you end up a sidekick, you're still part of the team and none of us wouldn't think any less of you. Heck, I bet we wouldn't last a day or two without you, Bruce."

The young Wayne smiled at his friend, "Thanks, Clark."

Soon enough, Lunch was over and everyone headed back to the gym. Will and Layla were chating and without paying attention, he bumped into someone.

"Sorry my ba-" Will cut himself off, when realized he the person he bumped was Gwen.

"Will Stronghold," Gwen smiled.

"Ah, mind reader." Will smiled nervously at the pretty girl.

"No actually, your name tag." The girl pointed out.

"Oh, right." Will looked out of his league right now. "Well, these are my friends; Clark, Zach, J'onn, Diana, Kara, Bruce, Hal, Barry, Ethan, Billy and.."

"Layla Williams." Layla finished with a smile, although some of the League could hear small hints of jealously in her tone. "I like your shirt."

"Thank you," Gwen said with a smile. "So how's Power Placement?"

"Um, It's coming along." Will answered nervously.

"That's good, I'll leave you to it then." Gwen smiled at Will, before walking away. J'onn once again felt that strange vibe from Gwen, but as much as he wanted too, he still couldn't invade someone's mind without their permission; so he kept it to himself... for now.

Will shuffled nervously on stage, It was his turn and everyone's eyes were on him.

"Any day now, Stronghold?" Boomer said, getting impatient.

Will sighed, before leaning in to whisper something into Coach Boomer's ear. "What do you mean, you don't know what your power is?" He asked.

Will looked down, "Oh wait, I see. You just messing with me, like your old man." Boomer said with a chuckle, before pressing the remote. "Car."

The car dropped from the celling and completely smashed Will down. The League's eyes went wide, Will was telling the truth. Boomer shook his head as the car lifted off of Will.

The young Stronghold picked himself up with a groan. "Are you crazy? I don't have super strength!" He exclaimed.

"Well, what do you have?" Suddenly something clicked in Boomer's head, "Oh, I see, you're a flyer, just like your mom."

Suddenly, Will launched off the stage by a springboard and would have crashed into the bleachers, had Barry not run over quickly and caught him in time.

"Come on, kid, I ain't got all day. What's your power?" Coach Boomer demanded, crossing his arms.

"I already told you, I don't have any powers!" Will stressed.

"Stronghold..." Boomer stared at Will in disappointment for a moment, before saying boomingly. "SIIIDDDEEEKKKIIICCCKKK!"

Coach Boomer's sonic voice shook the entire school, like an earthquake and scattered every widow, including the one's on Ron's bus. Clark and Kara had to cover their ears from the loud sound or risk their eardrums popping. Will joined his friends' sides and now looked lost.

"Billy Batson." Boomer called up.

Billy patted Will on the shoulder, before walking up on stage and Boomer asked.

"What's your power?"

Billy grinned at him and shouted, "SHAZAM!"

A golden lighting bolt shot down from the celling and struck Billy, causing everybody, except the Justice League members to shield their eyes from the bright light. Once it died down, every student uncovered their eyes and were left in a state of awe at what they saw. Billy stood proudly wearing a bright red suit with a golden lighting bolt on it and a small white cape hung over his right shoulder.

While the students were in awe, Coach Boomer, however, wasn't... at least not yet anyway.

"Is that it? You just changed your outfit?" Boomer questioned with a disappointed frown, Barry and Hal snickered hearing that. "Sidek-"

"Wait, there's still more!" Earth's Mightiest Mortal interrupted quickly. "Drop a car and you'll see."

Boomer shrugged and did as he said, Billy caught the car and pressed it above his head with ease, before dropping it back up. He then ran around the gym, using his super speed, destroyed a few targets with a few bolts of lighting and flew around in the air for a few moments, before landing in the same spot he was standing and shouted again, "SHAZAM!" and in a flash of lighting, he was back to normal Billy again.

Boomer nodded approvingly and wrote down on his clip board, "Alright, Hero." He said, "How come you shout a word, before using your powers?"

Billy grinned at him, "I get my powers from six different Greek Gods, that form the word: Shazam, like Hercule's strength or Zeus' lighting. When I shout that word, it'll allow me to use the abilites and also gaves me a cool suit." He explained.

Boomer nodded as Billy walked down the platform and joined his friends, Layla asked him, "Do you really get your powers from Greek Gods?" Greek Mythology was one of her favorite subjects in school and to hear about someone with powers from different Greek Gods was both awesome and incredible, Will and the others were also curious.

"Yep," Billy answered with a smile. "It was granted to me by a wizard, who's also called Shazam, because I was pure of heart." Billy went into futher detail as Coach Boomer called Hal up next, "Your turn, green thumb."

Hal glared a little at Boomer, before walking up on stage. "What's your deal?"

Hal changed into his lantern suit and flew into the air, he made a construct of a basketball and played around with it, then he made another construct of a slingshot and shot off Boomer's hat. "Hero." Coach Boomer said, getting his hat off the ground.

Hal smirked, before changing back into his regular clothes and headed back down to his friends.

"J'onn Jones!" Boomer called.

J'onn headed up on stage and transformed into a dragon and flew around the gym. The students along with Coach Boomer were in a state of awe as J'onn landed back on stage and changed back into his normal self, he then turned intangable and fazed through the floor. Everybody looked around and wondered where J'onn went. Suddenly, J'onn appeared behind Coach Boomer and smirked, he leaned in and whispered into Boomer's ear, "Boo."

Startled, Boomer yelped, before jumping back and turned around to see J'onn's smiling form behind him. Boomer held his chest and chuckled, "Hero." He declared with a smile.

J'onn smiled back, before walking down to his friends. Most of the League high fived each other for their accomplishments, the only ones left were Diana and Bruce.

"Princess with the tiara, you're up next."

Instead of walking, Diana chose to fly up to the stage gracefully. "Any other powers?" Boomer asked.

Diana nodded and said, "Car."

Of all the League members, Diana was the most eager to be in a modern High School. Growing up on Themyscira, she always wondered how going to school in Man's World was like, now Diana had that chance and she wouldn't take it for granted.

The car dropped and Diana caught it with ease. All the girls cheered and clapped for Diana as she pressed the car above her head, like it weighed nothing, before it went back up into the celling. She then deflected a few foam disc shot at her with her bracelets and flew around in the air some more, before landing down in her spot next to Clark.

"Hero." Coach Boomer declared, causing most, If not all, of the girls in the group to cheer and congratulate the Amazon Princess.

Diana didn't understand why, but all of their praise caused her to blush a little. "Thanks everone." The demi-goddess said, bashfully.

"Dark and depressing wanna show us what you're capable of?" Boomer called out to Bruce.

The Teenage Wayne inwardly sighed, he knew his turn would come up, but he knew it had to be done. Bruce straighted himself and proclaimed in a no nonsense tone. "I don't have any powers or special abilites. I am, however, trained in over 127 different forms of hand to hand combat, I'm at the peak of human physical condition and I'm pretty smart for my age."

Coach Boomer's eyes went wide for a moment at Bruce's statement, "I'm terribly sorry, kid, but sidekick." He said apologetically. Bruce accepted that and looked at Clark; whom was smilling at him and giving his friend a thumbs up.

"Don't worry too much, Bruce. Even If you end up a sidekick, you're still part of the team and none of us wouldn't think any less of you. Heck, I bet we wouldn't last a day or two without you, Bruce." A smile crossed the young Wayne's face. Clark's right, there's no reason to be crying over something so small.

"That's it for today everyone. Tomorrow, you'll start your new classes." Coach Boomer said, glancing at every student, "Dismissed."

The last bell of the day rang and everybody practically ran out to the bus to head home. While heading out, Clark noticed Will's sad expression and asked him, "Will, what's wrong?"

Will looked at Clark for a moment, before looking away. "It's nothing." He muttered.

"Doesn't look like nothing." Clark commented with a frown and stern look.

The look on Clark's face caused the youngest Stronghold to sigh and say, "I'm just wondering how my parents will feel about me not having any powers, especially my dad... he expects so much from me and I'm afraid to let him down."

Clark gave Will a sympathetic smile and put a hand his shoulder, "You should tell them, Will. You can't live a lie forever."

Will took in Clark's words, he was right and so was Layla from earlier, but he was so scared to see the disappointment on his father's face... he'll just have to figure out a way to tell them without making it sound so bad.

"Thanks Clark, that helped somewhat." Will smiled a little.

"No problem." Clark smiled as well, "And remember, Will, you're among friends."

Will nodded and sat his seat with Layla who smiled at him. It was definitely quite the day, but at least he and Layla made some new friends. Hopefully, tomorrow will be much better... or so Will thought.

To Be Continued...
