Chapter 7: Shopping Education
The next day, it's morning in Hell, Blitz is still asleep in his bedroom with Mimmy the kitty sleeping close by on the bed and curled up like a ball. Suddenly, strange tapping sounds begin to wake him up. He slowly opens his eyes with a tired expression and begins to wake up. He sits up as he stretches his arms and lets out a yawn. He then hears tapping sounds again.
"What's that noise?" Blitz asks himself, feeling tired.
Blitz then turns his head to notice something is tapping on the window of his bedroom.
"Who could that be?" Blitz wonders.
Blitz walks to the window and opens it. He looks around to see if there's anyone around, but there seems to be no one.
Suddenly, Randall appears in front of him, "Hey Blitz!"
Blitz screams in fright as he stumbles back and lands on his bed. Mimmy screeches in fright and hisses to see the intruder before the. Randall climbs inside the bedroom with a box.
"Morning," Randall says and lets out a chuckle.
Blitz calms himself and says, "Oh, uh, hi Randall. I didn't expect to see you this morning. At least through the window."
"Well, I sometimes like to make an entrance. Just got here with the others, but I decided to give you the first visit," Randall says.
Just then, Moxxie and Millie walk into the bedroom, still wearing their pajamas.
"Blitz, what happened?" Moxxie asks.
Then Millie asks, "We heard you scream?"
They soon notice Randall with the pink box.
Moxxie is shocked, "Randall?! What are you doing in Blitz's room?!"
"You said we can come visit you today. The others are still outside, waiting to be let in," Randall says.
Blitz looks out the window to see Drew, Berry, and Razor are with them.
"Hi guys, we got donuts and coffee!" Berry calls out, holding a tray of coffee.
Millie comes out through the window and says, "We'll let you in."
A little time later, the group has the donuts that's inside the box Randall has brought in. They all have donuts and coffee as they talk to each other.
"So Blitz, how's your first night here?" Berry asks.
"It's good. I was able to make myself feel at home," Blitz says and pet Mimmy who is sitting on his lap.
"Good to hear it," Razor says.
Berry then gently pats Mimmy, "And how is little Mimmy doing?"
"She's doing good. She's able to adapt to new locations easily, especially when I'm around," Blitz says.
"So you're like her dad or something?" Randall questions.
"I suppose that's one way of saying it," Blitz says.
Moxxie turns to Randall, "You know Randall, I do appreciate it if you stop trying to see all of us after work, especially me and Millie?"
"Come on, sweetie! It's not that big a deal!" Millie says.
Moxxie becomes shocked and questions, "Excuse me... WHAT?!"
Flashback 1:
Millie and Moxxie are in the kitchen, and Moxxie is preparing dinner.
Moxxie turns to Millie and asks, "Honey, can you get me the butter?"
"Sure, sweetie," Millie happily says, opening the fright.
Just then, Randall's voice appears from the fridge, "Spoiler alert: the butter's spoiled!" and puts the spoiled butter in her hand.
Millie giggles in reply.
"What's funny, honey?" Moxie asks, turning his head around.
In the fridge, Randall says, "Really impressive wordplay."
"WHAT THE-?! WHY ARE YOU IN OUR FRIDGE?!" Moxxie exclaims in shock.
Flashback 2:
Moxxie and Millie are both asleep in his bed. Moxie tosses and turns as he hears the sound of a cat purring. He soon opens his eyes to see Randall standing on him and looking at him straight in the eye.
"Whatcha dreamin' about?" Randall asks.
"I was dreaming my parents were being murdered, but now... I'd like to go back to that," Moxxie calmly says.
Flashback 3:
Moxxie and Millie are sitting on the couch singing a romantic song. Moxie strums the guitar.
Moxxie:
Of all the imps in hell
Moxxie/Millie:
It's for her/him that I fell
Moxxie:
Oh, Millie
They both close their eyes and lean to kiss.
But Moxxie notices something out the window and shouts in anger, "Are you fucking filming us right now?!"
As it turns out, Randall is filming them with a video camera outside of their window.
Flashbacks Ends:
Moxxie glares at Randall and says, "Just stop doing that."
"I don't see what the big deal is. You know I like to mess with you guys," Randall says.
"Well some of us don't," Moxxie sternly says.
"Neither do I. Sarge and Loona didn't like it either. I heard she almost tore you to shreds last time," Razor says.
Randall shrugs his shoulders, "How I supposed to know Loona was getting out of the shower at the time. She should be glad I didn't see anything."
"She threatens to tear you apart," Drew says.
"And be glad you were able to grow back your tail," Berry says.
Then Berry looks at Blitz's clothes. He observes the clothes from top to bottom, and Blitz begins to notice.
Confused, Blitz asks, "Uh, what's wrong, Berry?"
"Nothing wrong, but…" Berry says, looking at the clothes.
Then says, "Did you bring all the clothes you have worn in the human world?"
"Um yes," Blitz replies, nodding his head, "Is there something wrong with them?"
"No, but your clothes definitely show that you lived in the human world. If you're going to live here, then you're going to need the type of clothes we're wearing. I think it's a good idea for you to get some new clothes," Berry says.
"I… I don't know. I don't have any money to pay for it. At least the money you use anyway," Blitz says.
"Think nothing of it Blitz, we don't mind helping you pay for a few things," Millie says.
"Yeah. You can pay us back later. Depends when you can get a job," Randall says.
"Oh right. I haven't even thought of it," Blitz replies.
"One situation at a time, Blitz. First, let's take you shopping and get you a special Helluva makeover," Berry says.
"But what about Mimmy?" Blitz asks.
"Don't worry, we'll have Mimmy kept in a special place, where no one can find her," Millie says.
Millie has Mimmy's things placed in the closet that has a little lighting, along with her bed. Mimmy has already fallen asleep and Millie closes the closet until there's an opening for her to get out. She has the windows closed and locked and the door closed.
Soon enough, everyone is in Razor's van and he is driving everyone to the shopping district in downtown Imp City. Razor drives to the parking lot of the store and parks the car at a parking place.
Blitz says, "So uh, are you sure you guys want to get me some new clothes? I mean, I'm okay with wearing my own clothes."
"That's good for when you're in the human world, but in Hell, demons, especially sinners are going to notice these kinds of threads," Randall says.
"Besides, if you're gonna roll with us, we gotta get you some new threads," Drew says.
Soon, the group leaves the car and walks inside the district. The group continues to walk down the shopping area to do some shopping. Blitz looks around to see the many different stores and food stands, even some places to buy food.
"Wow. There are a lot of stores here," Blitz replies. "It's kind of like the outfits I do for clothes and supplies."
"Yeah. And now, it's time for a new you," Berry happily says.
Reluctantly, Blitz says, "But, I like the old me."
"It's best not to fight it. You can't win when it comes to Berry and her fashion sense," Drew says.
Blitz doesn't find it amusing, but decides to go with the flow. With that, everyone heads to the first store they come across. Soon enough, the group are inside a clothing store. They first start at the men's section so they can get Blitz some clothes.
Berry brings out a leather jacket that has spikes on the collar, the sleeves, the side, the rims, and cuffs of the jacket.
"Hmm, too spiky," Berry says, and puts the jacket back.
Then Drew finds a black suit with a white button up shirt and a red neck tie, "A little too fancy."
Then Randall brings out a large red shirt with black overalls, "Way too big."
Moxxie then brings out skinny jeans with a bow tie. Moxxie quickly puts it back on the rack as his face blushes, and suspects what kind of outfit it is.
Berry then brings out a leather jacket. This one has two spines on each of the shoulders, and yellow studs on the collar, and has pockets, one on each side.
"Hmm, I think this jacket will do good for you," Berry says.
Then show it to Blitz, "This is definitely your style. We just need to find a red shirt, and maybe a white one as well."
Sometime later, Millie and Berry are standing in front of the dressing room while Berry has sent the boys to get more clothes for Blitz to try on. Just then, Drew, Razor, Moxxie, and Randall return with the many clothes on hangers along with some shoes and accessories.
"Hey Blitz, are you ready to show us your look?" Berry calls out through the curtains.
"Um sure," Blitz answers.
Blitz then comes out to reveal Blitz is wearing a white shirt with black leather jacket with spikes on the shoulders and studs on the collar, black pants, and black and red boots. He is also wearing his choker.
"You look great Blitz. I especially like the jacket I picked out. What do you think?" Berry replies, impressed with her work.
Blitz looks at the mirror and sees himself in the mirror. Blitz is rather surprised to see the new clothes he has on.
Observing it, Blitz says, "I… I actually like it. I have never worn these kinds of jackets before, so I'm surprised that it looks okay on me."
"Oh don't be modest, Blitz. You look great in it," Berry says.
"Yeah. That outfit looks good on you," Randall says.
Then brings out a black vest, "I think this vest might look good."
Millie happily says, "We should also get you some clothes in case when we go to the Wrath Ring."
"Wrath Ring, huh?" Blitz replies, "I think you told me that you and Moxxie were born there."
"That's right. It's another Ring in Hell. There are seven different Rings in Hell. Right now, we're in the Pride Right. The other rings are Wrath, Gluttony, Greed, Lust, Envy, and Sloth," Berry says.
Then explains, "You might remember us telling you, The Pride Ring is usually where the Sinner lands when they die, and they all are in Pentagram City. It's also where the Head Ruler of Hell resides as well."
"There's also the Wrath Ring where Millie and I lived. It's a rural area that has a lot of beasts. It also has local hunts and it's good for domesticating. Millie's family owns a ranch and they own a few animals for livestock and such," Moxxie explains.
"There's also the Greed Ring. Believe it or not, Razor and I are from the Greed Ring," Randall says.
"Really?" Blitz asks.
"Yeah. We've actually been friends since we were kids. The Greed Ring does have a lot of well, expensive places, because of the money and such. There are places like Loo Loo Land, and other places like casinos and such," Razor says.
Then Drew says, "Berry and I are from the Lust Ring. It's a city similar to Imp City, but it's full of neon signs, and it's a perfect place for clubs and other places where you can be there all night. Plus, many of Succubi and Incubi live here."
"And also a good place for anyone who want to go to those sex hotels and other places to have a little fun," Randall says with a smirk.
Berry elbows Randall, "Don't even joke about it.
"Seems interesting. I'm not sure if I could remember all that," Blitz says, blushing a bit.
"Don't worry, you'll get the hang of it, and what the other Rings in Hell have to offer," Razor says.
"I sure hope so," Blitz says, sounding skeptical.
"You just need to be careful and stay close to us. You don't want someone to uh, you know," Moxxie says, feeling weary about telling him.
Randall chuckles with a smirk, "He has to know about it."
Then turns to Blitz, "The point is, you need to be careful around Hell. There are sinners in the Pride Ring who have commited crimes like murder, drug dealings, rape, harrasers, and all kinds of demons who will do anything to you of their desire." Then leans to Blitz giving him an evil expression on his face.
Blitz is sweating bullets and says, "Uh, I see…"
"Yeah. You need to be very careful. You can get into all kinds of situations depending on the demons you run into. You can imagine the kinds of demons who would love the chance to have 'fun' with an Imp like you," Randall says.
Blitz gulps nervously and asks, "Wha-what do you mean?"
"Well, you may be an Imp, but, inside, you're a completely different being. An Imp raised by humans, who is a hard worker, a little strong and skillful, and I have to admit, you actually have an interesting figure and face. Yet, you also look really innocent, without an ounce of sin within you. I'll bet you never even have sex before. You can imagine the kinds of demons who would want an Imp like you, especially one who hasn't lost his virginity," Randall says, making Blitz feel very uneasy that his knees are shaking.
Soon, he collapses on his knees with a scared look on his face. Suddenly, Randall receives a hard smack on the head, and he falls to the ground. Turns out, it's Berry who has smacked him on the head with one of the chairs close by.
"Will you knock it off, Randall?! Are you trying to scare him?!" Berry angrily asks.
"Not cool, Randall," Drew says, sternly.
Moxxie kneels to Blitz and asks, "Are you okay, Blitz?"
"I… I'm okay, just a little frightened of what Randall said," Blitz answers, trying to remain.
"Don't listen to him. He can be a bit of a handful sometimes," Millie says.
Berry mutters, "He's more of an ass."
"I see…" Blitz replies.
Millie pats Blitz on the back, "As long as you stick with us, you'll be fine."
"Thanks," Blitz says.
After the clothes shopping, accessories, and other essentials Blitz's need, they head off to the next door. The group are in a weapons store that has all kinds of guns, bombs, daggers, axes, wooden clubs, chains and other kinds of weapons.
Confused and unsure, Blitz asks, "Uh are you sure about this place?"
"Well, if you're going to live in Hell, you're going to need some gears to defend yourself from those who would try to kill you or try fuck you and all that shit," Randall says, and he has a bandage wrapped on his head.
"Yeah. We need to get you some guns, daggers, and anything else you might want or need," Razor says.
"I know, but I don't think I can handle actually killing someone," Blitz says, rubbing his arm with his other hand.
"Well, you don't really have to kill them, but it's good to be prepared when they try to attack you," Moxxie says.
Blitz thinks for a minute and says, "I suppose you're right."
"Exactly," Razor says.
"Besides, I've already got plenty of my knives from my knife throwing acts," Blitz says.
"Wouldn't hurt to have other sharp blades at your disposal," Razor says.
Then walks to the front desk, "Now, I think it's a good idea to get you a beginners handgun. Meanwhile, the others can help you find some weapons to get."
"Um okay," Blitz replies.
Razor begins to talk to the owner of the store as the others look around the store. Blitz looks around and never sees this many weapons in one store. Moxxie is also very impressed to see the many weapons in one place.
Berry turns to Blitz and asks, "So Blitz, have any idea what kind of weapon you want?"
"Well…" Blitz replies, looking around the store.
Soon, Blitz notices a handgun on the shelf, a gold color percussion pistol. Blitz then looks at the pistol and is taking an interest in it, but is a little unsure about buying it.
Drew walks over and asks, "See something you like?"
"Um yeah. I think this gun looks good," Blitz says, picking up the gun.
"It's a good looking gun," Drew says.
Just then, Berry brings out a light green colored dagger with a green handle, "Here's a dagger. I know you said you have plenty of throwing knives, but these will come in hand.
"Uh Sure," Blitz says.
Blitz then begins to look around and notices a case that is full of Perfect point throwing knives and with a cloth. Blitz is actually interested in the knife.
Sometime later, after buying the weapons for Blitz, the group head to an electronic store.
Drew turns to Blitz and says, "I think it's a good idea for you to get a Hellphone, along with a charger, and a phone case."
"Uh, why do I need a new phone? I still got this one," Blitz says, bringing out his phone.
"Because it will be suspicious to know why you have a phone from the human world, especially with an Overlord who keeps updates on any new electronics and can pick up the signals from it. It will be too dangerous to have your original phone with you," Berry says.
"Okay," Blitz replies with a nod.
"Glad to hear it, because this will be your new phone. It will have wifi so you can have access to the internet. We can work on giving you our numbers when we get to the office," Berry says.
Then Randall says, "And can't wait to show you the cool apps on it."
"Just as long as it's not inappropriate," Moxxie sternly says.
But Randall brushes it off, "Yeah yeah."
"Let's go find you a case to get for your phone, and a protection screen as well," Drew says.
"Okay," Blitz replies with a smile.
Sometime later, everyone is at the food court having lunch. Bitz looks around to see the many different creatures of different shapes and sizes, and some look like animals. He is also interested in seeing the demons that have the same appearance as he does.
Curious, Millie asks, "Whatcha doing Blitz?"
"Oh nothing. I'm just curious to see so many different demons here, especially those who are like me," Blitz says.
Berry says, "It will be alright Blitz. I'm sure you'll get used to being in Hell soon enough. You're with us now, and we'll teach you everything we know."
Blitz nods his head.
He then asks, "If you don't mind me asking, are there any other kinds of demons?"
"Of course there are a lot of different demons. Hell is well, in a kind of hierarchy," Moxxie says.
"You mean like a power role and stuff like that?" Blitz asks.
"Something like that," Randall says.
"You see, there is a power hierarchy in Hell. Starting from the bottom tier are Imps and Hellhounds," Moxxie explains.
"I guess that means Imps and Hellhounds like Loona have life the hardest," Blitz replies.
"That's one way of looking at it," Millie says.
Drew says, "Above there are Hellborn demons like Succubi and Incubi. So Berry, Randall, Razor, and I are in the same class of demons," Drew says.
"How come?" Blitz asks.
"I think it had to do with work, a bit more power and all that," Randall says.
"And the next one on the list are sinners, like we told you about," Razor says.
Blitz nods his head.
Then says, "And there are also Overlords."
"That's right, and the next level of demons are sinners," Randall says.
"Overlord? What are Overlords?" Blitz asks.
And Overlords are in a way human souls, but they also can wield considerable powers, some even stronger than overs. You can say they're also human sinners who committed high crimes and such," Razor says.
"That sounds frightening," Blitzo replies.
"Yeah, and some of the Overlords are very powerful and dangerous, especially the Radio Demon," Drew says.
"Radio Demon?" Blitz says, confused.
"Someone that we don't want to talk about, nor we want you to meet," Razor says.
"Okay," Blitz replies. Then asks, "Are there any other demons?"
"Yes. There are Demons of Ars Goetia. They are like demon royals, and they also have rank among themselves as well. We're actually acquainted with one of the Ars Goetia," Moxxie explains.
"Really?" Blitz asks, interested.
"Yeah. The book that we use to get to the human world actually belongs to Goetia Prince. Sarge was able to get his permission to use the book for his business. In exchange, we have to help Prince Stolas with his duties involving the human world and be his bodyguards," Drew says.
"I see," Blitz says.
Then in his thoughts, "Stolas…"
"I'm sure you'll meet him eventually since he comes to the office sometimes, but I think you'll like him. He may be a powerful demon, but he's actually kind of nice," Berry says.
"And a bit of a dork," Randall adds.
"That's not very nice," Berry replies.
"And let's not forget the Seven sinners of Hell. They're basically the rulers of Hell, each ruling Ring of Hell. The second powerful demons are Queen Lilith Morningstar and Princess Charlotte, the wife and daughter of the highest class of demons, Lucifer Morningstar, the King of Hell himself," A familiar voice says.
The group turns their heads to see Sarge and Loona walking toward them.
"Oh hey Sarge. Hi Loona," Berry replies.
"Didn't expect to see you guys here," Drew says.
"What? Can't go to a food court," Sarge replies.
"Dad and I were here to grab some lunch and happened to see you guys here," Loona says.
Then turns to her dad, "And dad thought it wouldn't hurt to help Blitz with his education."
"Well, we practically explained to him a lot of basics about Hell, and about the kind of dangers he had," Randall says.
He then turns to Blitz with an evil grin on his face.
Sarge sternly says, "Randall."
"Will you cut it out with your antics?" Loona angrily says, showing her teeth.
"Alright, I'll stop," Randall says, and doesn't seem to pay much attention to them.
Sarge says, "Still, Randall is right, there are a lot of dangerous demons and disasters going on in Hell, so you'll have to keep on your toes."
"Yeah. Randall kind of explained to me about the situations Hell has and the kind of demons that live there. It's kind of uneasy to think about," Blitz says.
"Nevertheless, you need to know this if you want to live in this. The life we lived here is not the same as the life that you lived in the human world, and you'll need to be prepared for it. Even if it means you'll have to fight and kill other demons to survive," Sarge says.
Blitz sighs and says, "I understand, but I'm still not sure if I can actually kill anyone. I've never killed a human being in my life."
"Well, our company involves killing humans and you actually don't want to kill," Randall says.
Blitz sadly sighs, "Well, I've been taught that it's wrong to kill people, especially with the pain of when my family were killed."
"I know it's hard, and it's going to be difficult for you, but don't worry you don't have to kill if you don't want to. I'm sure we'll think of something to help you adjust with living in Hell," Millie says.
"Millie's right, and we'll be there to help you the best way we can. And make sure Randall doesn't pull any tricks on you," Berry says.
Randall sternly glares at Berry.
Blitz nods his head and says, "Okay. Thanks guys."
"No problem, Blitz," Millie happily says.
For the rest of the day, Blitz hangs out with the group from I.M.P, and Blitz has learned a lot today, and has essentials he's going to need to survive this world. However, Blitz is still skeptical if he's going to be comfortable here, but is willing to try.
