Dale's directions were all the final 4 huntees needed to find the manor Athena and Meowstic were at, waiting for them to arrive.
Randy was in awe when he saw the size of the place; it was the biggest house he had ever seen.
Of course, he and Sylveon weren't going to let appeal get in the way of helping Crystal and Glaceon defeat the masterminds behind the hunt.
As the team stepped towards the gate, a female voice came on the intercom on the wall nearby, a much different voice than last time.
"Put your guns in the mailbox," the voice demanded, shocking the group.
"Uhh… we don't have guns with us," Randy tried to lie, "We're completely unarmed,"
"Yeah, besides, even if we did, why the fuck would we ditch 'em now?" Crystal asked.
"First off, I can see you through the security cameras, and you're clearly armed, and second, there's a shaped C-4 charge right underneath the gate," the voice revealed, "Athena could blow you up right now, but where's the fun in that? No guns. Put them in the mailbox, now!"
Clearly wanting to avoid getting blown up, the group placed the guns the camera was seeing into the mailbox, and once whoever was looking through the camera couldn't see any more weapons, the gate unlocked, allowing them to enter the manor grounds.
Entering the house, the group glanced around the dark room, and as they stepped forward, they caught a glimpse of what looked like some photos on the dark far wall of the living room.
There were 11 photos, each one showing each pair of hunt victims in their normal lives, with several photos showing some… revealing info about them.
On the bottom of the photos, were the names of the humans in the photos.
Dead Sexy - Amelia Clancy Jones
Vanilla Nice - Jason Todd Lawrence
Target - Christopher Osiris Standler
Big Red - Samantha Ray Jenkins
Staten Island - Anthony Rufus Thompson
Yoga Pants - Kendra Lewis McCarthy
Gary - Gary Francis Stevenson
Crystal - Crystal May Creasey
Trucker - Shane Bruce Travis
Randy - Randall James Klebold
Bandana Man - Chase Grover Lee
As they glanced at the photos, they realized that some of the huntees weren't as innocent as they looked at first; for one thing, Staten Island and Arcanine were at the 2017 Unite the Right Rally, and therefore, were racists!
Big Red and Braixen were homophobes protesting homosexuality in their photo, the trucker from earlier and his Lucario were hunting rare Pokémon, and Vanilla Nice and Serperior were ex-convicts.
"Woah, looks like most of us aren't any better than the hunters," Randy noted, "I almost teamed up with a white supremacist! That would've been awful,"
"Almost as awful as being in jail, that's for sure," Crystal added, pointing to Vanilla Nice and Serperior's mugshots.
After taking it all in for a bit, the group went through another entryway, and entered what appeared to be the kitchen.
Looking at the counter, they could see Athena and Meowstic themselves, the former throwing together a grilled cheese sandwich.
"It's amazing to me," Athena said, not noticing the people and Pokémon they kidnapped standing behind them, "People go about their lives without realizing the most simple, obvious truth. The only way to properly slice tomatoes is with a bread knife.
As Mewostic walked towards the counter behind them she finally realized the huntees were there, and decided to talk to them.
"Did you kill Don?" Meowstic asked telekinetically.
"Uh, yeah, we did," Randy replied, surprised that a Pokémon was talking to him like that, "But it was only because your trainer here convinced us that he was one of you,"
"Was he?" Sylveon thought, with her voice being telekinetically projected into everyone's minds, shocking the group.
"No, he wasn't," Meowstic said, pointing to their photo on the wall, showing the two deceased huntees at a neighborhood BBQ.
This is when Don's full name was known: Donald Nathan Fredricks
Turning back to the group, she then asked them a simple question: "Who am I?"
"Lady, Crystal and I don't know who you are," Glaceon said telekinetically, "We just know that you're crazy,"
"We are crazy, but we know we're crazy, and if you know you're crazy, then you're not crazy, so that really offended us, you know," Meowstic said, as Randy and Sylveon realized something about the two.
"Hold on, I think I read about your trainer online," Randy said, pointing at the woman, "She's Athena Stone, the one who came up with the whole hunt idea. I've read a lot about her,"
"Speaking of which, we saw those photos in the other room," Sylveon added, "How do you know who we are?"
"We have ways of knowing," Meowstic pointed out, before revealing stuff about the human huntees that they thought only they themselves knew.
Randy was born in Los Angeles, California, but moved across the country frequently because of his father's job as a mover constantly requiring them to change towns. They finally settled down in New Orleans, Massachusetts, where his Aunt Mae lived. Donald Trump getting elected president horrified one of his classmates so much that it drove him to shoot up his school, and ever since then, Randy has become obsessed with government conspiracy theories.
Crystal was born in Greenville, Mississippi. She dropped out of school at 12 when her father was killed by the police during a methamphetamine lab raid, with her mother dying later on via a drug overdose. After that happened, she bounced between several part-time jobs, to welfare and back, and the only inconsistency was her inability to stay employed.
Meanwhile, Athena still didn't notice the huntees due to Meowstic never informing her, and was still working away in the kitchen.
"You know, most people think that you should use cheddar in a grilled cheese," she said, thinking Meowstic was still listening, "But I use Gruyére. Nothing else has that kind of melt,"
As she put everything in the microwave and looked back, she finally noticed the hunters standing there, and was slightly annoyed at the fact that Meowstic never informed her.
"It took you this long to notice?" Randy asked, "Your Meowstic here was telling us stuff only we ourselves would know,"
"Well, if that's the case, I've got something of my own to share," Athena said, pulling out a piece of paper, "13 months ago, you, Crystal, posted this to a forum under the name Justice4Yall, and a few months later, you, Randy, reposted the message, and informed your followers on all of your social media accounts about it,"
She then started to read the message.
Fuck this bitch. Athena Stone murders innocent men and women, and their Pokémon, for sport. The evidence is all their: her manor, her travel records- oh, and in case you were still on the fence, she fucking ADMITTED to it in a text message!
Hearing that message come out of Athena's mouth might have shocked the two Eeveelutions in the hunt, but their trainers knew better, or at least Randy did.
"Uh, I hate to interrupt, but there's something I need to ask you," Randy began, "Out of all the people you kidnapped and killed, it's because they, and to an extent, we busted you and leaked everything online?"
"Those weren't actual busts, we were joking!" Meowstic said, "We never actually planned on hunting anyone!"
"But you are now," Sylveon said.
"That's beside the point!" Athena angrily said, "We only meant it as a joke, but you ignorami took it literally, believing we were actually hunting human beings and Pokémon for sport!"
"This is your manor, right?" Glaceon asked, angering Meowstic.
"It's not a fucking manor!" the feline Pokémon exasperatedly yelled, "It's a house we rented in Croatia and had decorated!"
"But you live here, and you're hunting people, so it's technically true," Randy insisted.
"Well, it wasn't true at first, but thanks to you idiots, it became true," Athena said, "You people, you take anything you want, and you twist it around until it fits into your backwards fucking worldview! You wanted it to be true, so you decided it was,"
"Okay, I did not want that thing to be true," Randy insisted, "If it was, it would cause a lot of controversy, and FYI, there seems to be a misunderstanding regarding Crystal and the message I reposted,"
"What the fuck are you talking about?!" Meowstic demanded to know.
"Well, for one thing, my Aunt Mae was the one to put the tweet up, definitely not Crystal," Randy said, pointing to Crystal, "I would know because I've seen her social media accounts, and she was using the name Justice4Yall,"
"Yeah, now that I'm hearing that, two things are clear: I now know who Randy's talking about, and you got the wrong Crystal," Crystal said, "There's another Crystal Creasey who lives in New Orleans like Randy does, only her middle name is spelled 'Mae' with an E instead of a Y. I get her mail sometimes. My dad's an asshole, but I bet he never did drugs, and my mom is still alive,"
"Yep, I think when you wanted to go after Justice4Yall, you meant to go after my Aunt Mae, but you got her mixed up with this Crystal instead," Randy insisted, "Speaking of which, could I call her?"
"No, not happening," Athena said.
"You know, I don't think you even care about the truth," Randy told her.
"Of course I care," Athena said, "The only difference is I'm right,"
"Maybe, maybe not, but I personally think you're only hunting us all down because you're too ashamed of your actions to admit that you-"
[BANG!]
Randy was cut off by a knife thrown to his chest by Meowstic's telekinetic powers, which she also used to drop a knife block on Sylveon from high up, knocking her out.
As the two dropped to the ground, Crystal and Glaceon, quite possibly the only living huntees left, grabbed knives and attacked Athena and Meowstic with them.
The masterminds were able to get out of the chokeholds they were both in by grabbing a frying pan (Athena) and the knife block (Meowstic) and striking their attackers in the heads with them.
Their little fight continued across the linoleum floor, with Crystal throwing Athena against a table, prompting the latter to smash a vase on the former's head.
Their Pokémon were going to town on each other on top of the counter, and despite Meowstic threatening Glaceon with a blowtorch, the Ice Pokémon was able to make her slip with some ice on the floor, allowing her to tackle the feline and throw her into a cabinet, causing it to collapse on her.
Getting back up on her feet, she continued to attack Glaceon, and after almost throwing a bottle of 1907 Heidsieck at her, the Ice Pokémon threw her through a fireplace, with Athena being tossed through it at the same time.
After getting back up on their feet, Meowstic reached into a hidden bag, and pulled out a shotgun, which she started shooting at Crystal and Glaceon with, forcing them to retreat upstairs.
As the two hunters ran after them, they unknowingly dropped two shells, but never noticed, as they never got a chance to fire the gun before Crystal lunged out at them, sending them falling over the rails.
Despite sustaining some pretty serious injuries, the women and Pokémon were still going strong; Crystal didn't even react strongly to a knife wound she sustained before pusing Athena over a table.
At some point, after bumping into a glass window without breaking it, Athena and Meowstic were able to get Crystal and Glaceon in choke holds, while pushing them against the walls, but with Crystal pushing against the wall with her foot, and Glaceon firing an attack at Meowstic's face, all four of them smashed through the window, getting broken glass everywhere, and badly lacerating them.
The four decided to take a quick breather first before they continued, and once they felt good to go, they continued their little brawl outside for a bit, but before Crystal could send Athena flying through another glass window, the hunter stopped her, insisting that no more windows be broken.
In response, Crystal opened the door, and everyone walked through, before continuing the battle.
The ensuing battle continued for only a brief bit, with Crystal and Glaceon briefly pulling off a chokehold, while Athena and Meowstic were able to stab their attackers with knives and a blender blade.
It was the latter that put the two hunters in a greater position to win, as the huntees were stabbed in two places at once, badly wounding them.
The two were quickly overpowered when Athena and Meowstic pushed them against the counter, stabbing them repeatedly with a knife.
As the two began slipping away, Meowstic stood over a dying Glaceon with a sadistic smirk on her face… and her jaw was quickly blown off by a flying shotgun shell.
As Glaceon dropped to the floor, Athena was startled into dropping Crystal as well, and when the hunter looked to see where the shot came from, she was immediately shot in the abdomen, making her drop to the floor, bleeding heavily.
As a weak, injured Crystal looked to see what was going on, she was surprised to see the shooter walk into her view… Randy and his shiny Sylveon, standing over the dying females, looking very much alive, with Sylveon holding the gun Meowstic had earlier.
"Gotcha," Randy said.
"What on Earth..?" Athena weakly exclaimed, "How are you still alive?"
"Well, that knife block landed on Sylveon's back, and not her head, so she's still okay," Randy explained, "As for me, let me show you,"
As Sylveon used her ribbons to remove Randy's dark blue sweater, he pulled up his plaid shirt, revealing a second chance vest underneath, taken from Peter's Greninja, whom he was the same height as.
"Let me guess, while we were duking it out outside, you got up, went to the gun, faked being dead some more, and then sprang back to life when all looked hopeless?" Crystal asked.
"Yeah, we did," Randy said.
"Cool," Crystal said.
Of course, the hunt was now over, as Athena and Meowstic were dying, meaning the last of the hunters were now taken out, but Randy had one last thing that he wanted to ask, as long as Athena could stay alive long enough to hear it.
"You know, Athena, there's one last thing I want to ask," Randy said, "While I was fake-dead in the other side of the room, I saw a document with all the huntees names, and it looked like you've been giving us all codenames. Jessie, Moses, Mollie, Old Major, you even called me Squealer, and Crystal was called Snowball, which sounds more suitable for Glaceon, who got Bluebell. What's with all the names?"
"It's a reference," Athena clarified, "A reference to George Orwell's Pokémon Farm,"
"If that's the case, then why did you refer to Crystal as Snowball?" Randy said, "I mean, sure the fact that Snowball's an Alolan Vulpix means it'd be more suitable for Glaceon, but if you read the book, you'd know that Snowball is an idealist, who wanted to make the world a better place. That's why many of the villainous Pokémon in the book make up lies about him, and turn him into the enemy. That's the exact description of what you've been doing, and the consequences of said actions. In other words, you'd be a better Snowball than Crystal,"
"You… you read Pokémon Farm?" Athena asked in surprise.
"Yes ma'am, I did," Randy said, "I did a book report on that once during school, and it was one of the best ones in the entire class. The amount of times I got called a nerd after that was worth it, and I took the title as an award,"
Athena was just as shocked as Randy's class must've been, and it made her decide to ask him something in return.
"Randy… When you said that, your Aunt Mae was meant to be abducted instead of the Crystal Creasey we got, were you right?" she asked, "Is the Crystal dying right next to me your Aunt Mae, or did we really get the wrong Crystal?"
"You did not get the right Crystal, Athena," Randy insisted, "My Aunt Mae doesn't have a Glaceon. Therefore, you got it all wrong,"
"Whoops…" Athena said, as her last words before she finally faded into oblivion.
As Randy and Sylveon looked at the dead Athena and Meowstic, it only took them a few more seconds to realize that Crystal and Glaceon were dead too.
After they were done mourning their fallen allies, they got to work on getting back up on their feet.
First, they grabbed some food from the kitchen, and ate it, replenishing any energy they lost during the hunt.
Then, in the bathroom, they used the blowtorch to cauterize their wounds, and after they healed themselves, they found a change of clothes.
Despite the team being a bunch of adults and their Pokémon, Randy and Sylveon were able to find clothes that fit, and before they left the house, Randy decided to make one final call, to a certain someone.
After three dials, someone answered on the other end; the someone Randy had been hoping to speak to ever since he arrived in Croatia.
"Hello?" the voice greeted.
"Hello, Aunt Mae? It's me, Randy," he said.
"Randy?!" the voice of his Aunt Mae went on the other end, "Oh, thank the lord, I can't believe I'm hearing your voice again! You went missing last night, and none of us have seen you all day and night, what happened to you?!"
"Manorgate happened to me," Randy said, "Rest assured, everything will be explained soon. For now, I need you to call mom and dad, and tell them to get in contact with our lawyer. After a special delivery from Croatia, the Manorgate phenomenon will soon be proven,"
After hanging up, Randy and Sylveon, both now decked out in the fancy clothes some of the hunters owned, walked over to Athena's private jet, where, not expecting their arrival, was the flight attendant.
"Uhh.. excuse me, young man, but I'm afraid you can't be let on here," the flight attendant said, "This private jet is only available for usage by my employer and her associates,"
"Oh, you mean Athena Stone, who just so happens to be lying dead on her kitchen floor at this very moment?" Randy asked, "Listen to me, Athena and her friends have all gotten what they deserve for kidnapping and killing innocents across America, and I want to go home! So you're gonna have to tell the pilot to fly this plane to New Orleans with me and Sylveon on it, or I'll hijack the plane and attempt to fly it myself. I know I found myself on this plane once before, but I insist on having a good ride back home,"
Realizing what was going on earlier without their knowledge, the crew was forced to comply with Randy's demands, and at the flight attendant's request, the pilot began to set course for New Orleans.
Before sitting down with Sylveon, Randy handed the Heidsieck bottle from the kitchen to the attendant, and told her to put it in a safe place.
As the two survivors relaxed, reveling in their victory over some of the richest elites in America, the plane flew off, back to New Orleans, where Randy's family would soon be seeing them again.
