Kagome woke up with a groan. She looked around and found that she was lying on her bed, her head thumped back down on her pillow, and she sighed, "Not again," She sighed as Kagome covered her eyes with her arm.

"Yes, again," A voice said.

Kagome removed her arm and looked towards her door, where Logan was leaning against the threshold.

"How long was I out?" Kagome asked.

Logan shrugged, "A couple of hours. How are you feeling?"

"Like I've been hit by a bus."

Logan pushed away from the door and sat down next to Kagome, "Hank said that you used too much energy to heal Bobby. Your body was still too weak."

Kagome nodded, "Yeah, but what else could I do? I had to do something to help him. It's not in my nature to let someone suffer if I can help it."

Logan only grunted, "So I've noticed. Look, I know you want to help people, but after the injuries you sustained, you need to take care of yourself," Logan said as he pushed off the door frame and entered Kagome's room.

"You're right, I should, but not when someone else's life is in danger," Kagome argued.

Logan sighed; he knew he wouldn't win this argument, "Are you hungry?" Logan asked, changing the subject.

"Yeah," Kagome answered.

"Alright, you stay here, and I'll bring you something to eat," With that, Logan left and shut the door behind him.

A few minutes later, there was a knock on the door. Kagome told the person to come in and found that it was the girl they called Rogue. Kagome smiled at the younger woman.

"Come in, have a seat, Rogue."

Rogue walked further into the room and sat at the foot of Kagome's bed. She placed her hands in her lap and sighed, "I came to thank you for what you did for Bobby," Rogue said after a moment of silence.

Kagome only smiled and placed her hand on Rogue's shoulder, but Rogue flinched away from her, "Rogue, you don't have to worry about absorbing my powers. I'm not a mutant; my spiritual powers work entirely differently. They will counteract your abilities and fight them off. You're safe with me," Kagome explained.

"Are you sure," Rogue asked doubtfully.

"Yes, while I was healing Bobby, my knee brushed up against you, and nothing happened. I felt your powers trying to take mine, but you couldn't. You have nothing to worry about." Kagome said and took off Rogue's gloves and held her hands.

Rogue smiled brightly, "I can't believe it! I can finally have human contact."

"Yes, you can, and if you give me a chance, I think I can train you to control your powers, but it will have to wait until I recover fully."

"Really?!"

"Yes, but it will take time and patience. Can you handle that?"

"Yes, yes! I'll do anything to be able to control my powers."

"Good, then once I feel better, we'll get started," Kagome assured Rogue.

They didn't know that Logan was standing outside the door listening. He smiled at the thought that, finally, someone would be able to help the girl he thought of as a daughter. Once Kagome and Rogue finished talking, Logan knocked on the door.

"I have your food, kid. Can I come in?"

Rogue opened the door for Logan, "Hi Logan, Bye Logan!" Rogue said as she skipped out of Kagome's room, in a better mood than she had been in for a long time.

Logan raised an eyebrow, "What's up with her?" He asked.

"Nothing, we only had a little girl time. Now can I have my food, please?" Kagome said with a smile.

Logan smiled back and placed the tray on Kagome's lap. He was going to leave but she asked him to stay and talk with her a while. So as she ate they had a pleasant conversation. Once she was finished, Logan took the tray and bid Kagome goodnight. He left Kagome's bedroom and hoped that Kagome kept her word and would help Marie with her powers. He knew that nothing would make Marie happier than to be able to lead a normal life.

Once Logan left, Kagome went to the bathroom to shower and change into some pajamas. She settled down and went to sleep as soon as her head hit the pillow. She hadn't realized how tired she was until that point. The last thing that crossed her mind before she fell asleep was the smile on Logan's face as they talked.

**AUTHOR'S NOTE: ONCE AGAIN ANOTHER SHORT CHAPTER. HOPEFULLY I CAN THINK OF MORE FOR THE NEXT ONE.**
