Chapter six:

Kyouya notices that Tamaki is about to speak up giving them away so he grabs the other. He covers said others mouth and pulls him to a hidden spot behind the front desk as he swears he hears whoever it is coming closer. "We can't confirm if they have guns or other weapons." He hisses in Tamaki's ear to which the other nods. So he lets him go.

The two of them peek around the front desk seeing someone poke their head out of the way into the warehouse. They can clearly tell that this person is a female and one that Kyouya finds oddly familiar.

The woman doesn't seem to see them and seems to think that she is in the clear. She slips back into the warehouse.

Kyouya begins to head towards the door with Tamaki tailing behind him staying close to him. He carefully opens the heavy door as quietly as he can. He peeks inside listening for if they have been heard. He sees no sign of the woman. He cautiously moves inside with the blonde sticking to him like they're stuck by glue. He closes the door quietly and they begin the search of the space with a bunch of boxes which most look empty. He even sees that some of them have cobwebs as they haven't been used in so long. He pauses with Tamaki pressing against his back hard as they hear the woman speak softly to herself.

"Peace and quiet. Hopefully I won't be here for long. I was never supposed to even come back here."

Kyouya follows the sound while Tamaki lets out a fearful breath. He knows that it is because of his comment about weapons. He peeks around a large metal shelf where he sees the woman sitting on a box that must be full of something.

Tamaki peeks around as well then seems to gain confidence at no sight of weapons. He heads out and Kyouya reaches out for him. "You." He calls startling the woman to her feet and she spins around to face them. "We just have a few questions for you."

The woman turns dashing off further into the warehouse as Kyouya starts the pursuit first.

Kyouya stares at her with determination that he is going to get her to stop and answer their questions. He knows that no one who is supposed to be here would behave this way. He takes a turn and dashes to cut her off. He sees her glance back for him then laugh before being cut off as he leaps at her.

The two fall to the ground with the woman hitting her back on the floor while Kyouya tries to pin her hands down.

Tamaki's hands suddenly slam down onto her ankles to help keep still.

Kyouya gets her hands pinned by her wrists. "You are going to answer our questions." He tells her to which she turns her head only enough to glare at him. "First tell us who you are."

"Wouldn't you like to know?" The woman practically spits back at him.

Kyouya narrows his eyes at the woman before looking closer to her. "I thought I recognized you." He admits only to see her eyes widen before she puts on a fake calm smile. "You're that maid that once stole from the twins family when they were kids." He had made sure to put some time into looking into that story of the twos past just in case it turns out to be her. "So. Did you kidnap him? Where are you hiding him?" He demands to which the woman's look changes to a genuine confusion.

"I have no idea what you are talking about." She informs them and Kyouya knows that she isn't lying.

"Then why are you back here? Surely you would have fled far away by now." Kyouya questions to which the woman sighs.

"I did. I would have stayed away but an associate of mine had an offer to me. One that is none of your business. I had to come back but I don't trust him to stay with him. The type to kill and take all for himself if I'm not careful."

Kyouya gets off of the woman to which Tamaki hesitantly follows. They stand aside as she gets to her feet.

The woman turns to the two in surprise. "So you really don't care about the past?"

"No. Not really. That isn't our issue to handle. We have another one that we would prefer to focus on." Kyouya pushes his glasses up as they almost always seem to be falling down his face.

"Yeah!" Tamaki pipes in giving the woman a determined glare. "We have to find our friend!"

"And you thought that maybe I took him because I stole from his family before?" The woman raises an eyebrow.

"Well it was a possibility. We didn't expect to find you here though." Kyouya tells her to which she snorts.

"I am not that dumb. I wouldn't go back to that place to do anything else. Let alone try to kidnap any of them. A smart thief doesn't strike the same place more than once." The woman points out with a roll of her eyes at the idea that she had done this.

"You've clearly got connections to the criminal world. Any ideas where we could start looking?" Kyouya pulls out some money offering it to her as she blinks at it. "I doubt that you have any attachment to them if you won't take shelter with any of them."

The woman takes the money. "Alright. I do know something that could prove potentially helpful." She admits to them lowering her voice as the two listen to what she has to say. "I do not know who it is personally. However there was some chatter in the network about someone who had successfully kidnapped someone from a poor family and from a better off family. Though not from a rich family. All that is known is that this person doesn't take connections with other criminals. And that the kidnappings took place years apart. It is about time that whoever it is to take another. We don't even think that the police have linked the cases together yet. It took some back and forth before we linked them ourselves. We tend to watch cases that police pick up, that we know of, to double check on what others are doing out there. That is all you need to know about that. I won't tell you further about our network."

"Okay. Well which kidnapping cases are you mentioning?" Kyouya inquires to the woman. "If whoever it is doesn't communicate to your network then we don't care about that. And watching you I can tell that you aren't lying."

"You'd be surprised how many would be willing to rat any of us out for the right price." The woman shrugs her shoulders at this. "The first case is that of Mai Haruto. Her family was doing well enough. Then one night years ago she was kidnapped and not seen since. Then you have the case of Akio Kaito. Poorer than Mai. Someone did check on him to make sure he was at least there at night and in the morning, no one is sure if he noticed or not. They found him missing one morning. As we looked at it things started lining up. I doubt that you need me to tell you all about the similarities. This person hasn't been caught by police or figured out who it is by any of us. I wonder if kidnapping from the rich will prove to be their downfall."

"I see." Kyouya hums in thought at this. "I will need to look deeper into those two cases." He stares at the woman more.

"Maybe I'll remember more for more money." The woman offers slyly though Kyouya can see right through her and read that she doesn't know anything else.

"No. We're done here. You don't have anything else that'd be helpful, and if you're staying here not knowing anything then the kidnapper isn't using this place." Kyouya turns to Tamaki as the woman whines that he's no fun. "Come on. Let's get out of here." He leads the blonde away as the woman stays there watching them go.

Meanwhile…

Akio, Mai and Kaoru are all relaxing a little in the space that they call their own.

Akio is laying on his stomach on the floor pushing two tiny pebbles, too small to do anything useful, around almost like just playing with them like a kid to pass the time.

Kaoru is sitting on a mattress in a slightly leaning back position.

Mai is sitting where she can watch over them both as if ensuring that they stay doing as okay as they can be here.

They all freeze and tense up, Kaoru even flinching back, when they hear the dreaded sound of that door opening.

Kaoru silently pleads that this isn't happening again.
