Do I have a justification to this movie other than I like it? Yes.
Sorry it's a bit later than usual but I still managed to get it out on Saturday still which honestly surprised me.
thewittywhy: *sips tea*
Nevermourned: I honestly do think Mr Satan would have helped out if he knew where they lived. Justified by the fact that he, did. In Super.
WrathofAjax: Thanks ^.^
Tatsu Akurama: nyeh heh
Guest: eventually
Midnight Angels Say GoodNight: thanks ^.^. though moving forward on that will have to wait a lil bit still
Qinlongfei: Yeah I always considered Raditz the smartest of the four, not that the standards there were ever the highest.
I do have a few ideas for Videl but I might keep your Krillin idea in my back pocket. That would be a nice little tie in for a plan I already had
OnTheTidesOfEvermore: Don't worry, I like Videl as a character and even if I didn't the fact that she's Mr Satan's daughter is compelling enough on it's own to include her in the fic.
And well, gonna be honest, Mystic Gohan isn't quite necessary when SS4 is, far more OP
nadia4245 and IP Rainwater: Welp I'm glad you like the Radish POVs considering-
Raditz-
Raditz hates this planet and its useless humans and its useless events and most of all at this exact moment he hated Kakarot.
He hated Kakarot for dragging him to this useless "tournament" where it's apparently just okay fighting where you're not allowed to actually kill anyone so what even is the point?
Kakarot said that it would be "fun" and that Raditz hasn't gotten to fight in a while so he should join.
And then had no choice in the matter. Like he never does.
There wasn't a point in fighting any of the humans. The lot of them were insignificant flies in terms of power level, and even Kakarot's friends, were closer than he'd care to admit, but still, he'd win a fight with most of them anyway.
Kakarot hovered over his shoulder as he pushed Raditz to sign the forms.
And then the woman overlooking the sign-ups closed the papers behind him.
"Huh?" Kakarot looked like a kicked puppy as he looked at the woman in question.
"So sorry sir, but there are a fixed number of participants allowed for this tournament, and sign-ups are now closed," she stated with a sickly sweet smile.
"Oh- but I wanted to- hey! Raditz, you didn't want to join in the first place so-"
Now joining the tournament was a dumb waste of time, but stealing the place from Kakarot?
Raditz smirked as he followed the woman through the door leading to whatever this ridiculous event was.
…
Bulma-
Bulma couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Goku sulking on the benches.
Honestly, she was only here to watch the group fight like the good old days, and sure Goku not being allowed to join was a bit of a letdown, but it wasn't the end of the world.
"Oh cheer up Goku, now you get to cheer on your son fighting like a normal father," Chichi tried to bring up his spirits but Bulma wasn't surprised when it hardly worked.
Goku would get over it as soon as the fighting started anyway. He was just pouting.
Of course, as he'd been since she'd first gotten pregnant, Nappa was still following her around as if anything and everything was a threat to her "little prince." And while Bulma tried to get him to join the tournament as a break from him, Nappa said that he had no interest in such "play fighting."
Which seemed like an excuse since he seemed to like "playing" with her friends just fine when he first came to earth but what does she know.
Of course, if Bulma were to put money on it, she'd guess that the real source of his distraction, was in the bundle of blankets that looked impossibly small in his arms he was cooing over.
At least unlike Vegeta, Nappa was an attentive father. Bulma was pretty sure Gohan had started bullying Vegeta into somewhat being in the vicinity of Trunks more. She didn't have proof of this but it was funny enough an assumption that she kept with it.
Didn't mean she wouldn't keep an eye on him and Clover because somehow the declaration of "he practically raised Vegeta and Raditz," wasn't quite encouraging.
She'd already been thinking about making some baby goggles, for the game reason Raditz had taken to wearing his around his neck by default.
While it was great that Gohan had some new form of power and had control over it, it was still pretty inconvenient that it included something that would turn any tailed Sayain who saw that light ball into those great apes.
"So why Clover anyway?" She asked. It didn't really sound like a traditional Sayain name from what she could tell.
"Huh? Oh right her name. Well, I did already know what her name was gonna be because, I met her, but- it's kind of a Sayain name. Plant-based, eatable, technically. And- it sounds more like something someone would be called on earth… she's, probably gonna spend a lot of time here so might as well make sure she can fit in well enough."
Well, that was more thought out than Bulma was expecting. But Nappa did care more about the whole Sayain legacy thing than Vegeta or Raditz did. Certainly more than Goku.
Well, as long as it makes him a competent father.
…
The rules of this first round were simple.
It was a battle Royal of 25 people per platform.
The tournament had some kind of alien gimmick, which I would assume was fake except-
"…yeah, this feels like a movie plot," I said as I was the last person left on my platform, my hands never once leaving my pockets.
It wasn't exactly a difficult task to get past this stage.
Still, I walked back down the bridge as the rest of the platforms finished their royals.
How nice that they had snacks for the contestants waiting.
I just kinda wandered around for a bit as I waited. I sensed out and found a Power level, that while wasn't high by our standards, was significantly higher than anyone else that was participating, our group excluded.
I followed the sense until I saw Mr. Satan walking a bit too fast to be standard. I went around and sat on a railing that would soon be in his path.
"Hi!" I said as he approached, and he startled back, apparently not yet noticing.
He recovered and I was pretty sure he was about to go into his normal act before blinking.
"Wait, you're that kid, aren't you? The one that was at the Cell games? You're hair's different but-"
"Yeah. Black's the default actually. Can I call you Mark? I'm gonna call you Mark."
"Uh, right- how- never mind. Anyway- hey, mind letting me in on whatever tricks you used back there? I can't seem to figure it out, and I'm usually good at these things. C'mon, I won't tell!" He grinned and I shrugged.
"Well, you know what they say about magicians and their secrets. Besides, I doubt anything I could say would be very satisfying to you."
"Satisfying? I just want the truth kid, uh, Son Gohan was it? Kid of that Son Goku guy, from the older Budokais? He pulled off some neat tricks back in the day."
"Something like that."
Mr. Satan opened his mouth to say something else only to get interrupted by the buzzer announcing the next round would start soon. I jumped off the railing.
"That's my call, see you. Probably at the finals," I waved as I walked back.
Oh, I'd absolutely let him win of course. Don't want the attention of beating the "World Champ."
Also, it'd be funny.
Soon enough, the rest of our group made it through, plus a few randoms. Of our group was Piccolo, who I convinced to come, and was not very happy with it, Krillin, Tien, Raditz, who honestly I'm surprised bothered, and of course, me.
Kinda also surprised Goku wasn't here. I'd gotten here before him since I had to, encourage, Piccolo to join.
Everyone crowded by the screen as one by one, the matchups were determined.
The first were two of the three randoms.
The second was Raditz and another random.
"Oh good, free win," Raditz said dryly.
"Yeah you would be happy about that," Tien said.
"Meaning?" Raditz look at Tien through the corner of his eye.
"Meaning it's a good thing you weren't matched up with me."
"You think I can't beat you in a fight?" Raditz was standing up straighter now.
"I think, that I've never actually seen you fight. Even when you should have."
The third fight was chosen between Krillin and Piccolo.
Krillin lamented.
"Well sorry then for not literally being suicidal like the rest of you seem to be. That doesn't mean that you're stronger than I am."
"I guess we'll just have to see in the next round then."
Raditz glanced over at the screen at smirked, "you are aware there are only eight people in this round, right?"
Tien followed Raditz's gaze just in time to see the final round of him vs me pop up.
Tien's mouth thinned into a line as Raditz patted him on the shoulder in obviously fake condolences, "so I guess we won't see. Will we?"
I just kinda waved as Tien glanced down at me.
It was, really weird to be considered, not just strong but, a contest-ending threat.
Still, I tried not to dwell on it as the rounds started.
I didn't care much about the randoms.
Raditz's fight didn't exactly last long, he kinda just tossed the dude out of the ring.
Krillin and Piccolo…would have been a clear fight, if Piccolo didn't just decide to leave.
"Boo," I called as he left, not really that upset. I'm surprised he lasted this long honestly.
Made Krillin feel plenty confident though.
Which left my fight with Tien.
And, it was a good fight. More fun than most I've had. But even as I ducked under and blocked the heavier blows, and even a couple of Tri beams, which I definitely just dodged, I never really felt the need to go Super.
And eventually, Tien was knocked into the water, and his attempts to fly back up were quite literally shot down.
It, still didn't feel like a satisfying win. Maybe I should have let it go on longer, I dunno.
Oh well, at least since that fight was last I didn't have to wait long for the next round.
The next round was more of a race than anything else. We had to ride in some kind of enclosed personal rollercoaster and then fight one of the "aliens" before the first one to get back gets to fight Mr. Satan.
I say aliens in quotes but if this is a movie plot then odds are it's more real than what would be considered likely.
I grimaced and squinted at the flashing lights in the dark tunnel that the rollercoaster thing was going through.
Raditz-
Raditz shut his eyes and sat in silence as he rode through the ridiculous mode of transport.
He'd had enough issues getting his hair safely in the vehicle, but now he had to deal with these ridiculous lights?
Whatever. It was over soon enough and he was deposited in some kind of volcanic area.
It was obviously simulated, with a few practical effects here and there.
It was somewhat interesting that whoever created this intended for human fighters to fight so close to shifting flames, but it was significantly less dangerous for him.
He wandered through searching for his supposed opponent. He was hardly expecting much and barely reacted when seeing a figure through smoke, caused either by actual flames or a machine Raditz couldn't tell from that distance.
And when it cleared to reveal a woman with blue skin and orange hair Raditz only lifted an eyebrow.
Well, if she expected he'd go easy because she is a woman, she'd be mistaken.
…
Krillin-
Well, that was a headache and a half.
Krillin blinked away any lingering effects from that little light show.
He wandered through some area filled with children's toys.
Oh, just his luck now wasn't it?
Krillin sighed as he cautiously looked for his opponent. He knew that most likely it'd just be some guy in a costume, but with his life, he stopped taking chances a while ago.
This proved to be a good thing when he sensed a blast and was able to jump out of the way just in time.
"Hey! This is a tournament you know! No killing allowed, man!"
He turned to see his opponent. Hey, this guy was barely taller than he was. That's a nice change of pace.
Though, sensing his energy, this will be more of a problem than Krillin anticipated.
…
I wandered around a flowering field.
I'd kinda feel bad fighting in here, messing up the flowers, but oh well.
My head shot to the side as I sensed a blast coming my way. I ducked to the side and rolled until I came to a stop in the field.
I locked eyes with a figure in a tree before standing back upright.
"You know, this is a tournament. Pretty sure that counts as excessive force, you might have killed someone," I said as if I thought he cared.
Which I really didn't.
The guy shot forward without responding, I once again dodged, though much closer than I would have liked. So as he drew his sword I went Super.
"You know," I started as I weaved through swings of his sword, "I'm always surprised by just how many people are cool with killing kids."
I broke away and cleared some distance.
"No seriously, I think there've been like, three people against fighting me ever? One of them was Cell, and that wasn't really because he didn't want to kill me but because he didn't think it'd be worth the effort."
I tilted my head at the thought, "funny thing about that is-
I shot forward, concentrating my energy into a single punch to his stomach.
"That fight didn't end so great for him either," I looked down at my former opponent as he collapsed. My hair faded back to black once I was confi
Welp, with that fairly definitive proof that something's up, time to find the rest.
Finding the edge of this location was wild. It faded into the "sky" which was more clearly a wall the closer I got.
Finding a door was easy enough and on the other side were the ruined remains of a city. Or a city set. Whether it was like this to begin with or it was destroyed by the interlopers I could t say.
What I could say was that it probably didn't come with the collapsed bodies of Krillin and Raditz.
Sense flew out the window for a moment as I rushed forward. Though sensing them as I got closer they were just unconscious.
I refocused my attention, and senses, back on the city. It wasn't exactly hard to find four powers in a nearby building. As if waiting for the cue of my showing up, one of them walked out as two others stood at the door as if sentries.
"Company, good. It's been so long since I've snapped someone's neck."
I paused.
Ok, objectively concerning power level. In the ballpark of Cell.
But still-
"Really? That's the best you could come up with? Like, you've been sitting there in the dark and couldn't come up with a better line?"
"Watch your tone child. Do you have any idea who you are speaking to?" The woman asked. Her voice was admittedly, quite smooth sounding. Notably so.
"Uh, no. Not really. Do you? I mean, kinda reckless if you didn't have any recon. Like, do you know what happened here, as in on the planet, about a month ago?"
"Master Bojack has no equal. There is no point in such trivial matters when there is no other in existence who comes close," the guy sentry said.
"The universe is littered with the bones of those who thought otherwise," the woman continued.
"I mean, yeah? If you came here like, ten years ago. Or one year ago. Or two months ago. Kinda missed your mark really. Also? Your name is Bojack? Kinda, not really threatening."
Not that Piccolo or Cell were much better but like, still.
I glanced back as Yamcha, Tien, and Goku landed in the arena. Also some other dude with matching blue skin that probably meant he was with these guys. That would be the fourth energy I'd sensed earlier I guess.
"Such arrogance from such a small thing. It would be wise not to speak off to you betters now," the woman spoke, and honestly, I could just ignore her words entirely. Her voice was just distractingly smooth.
"Master Bojack is not a patient man. It would be wise of you to stand down. Or better yet, kneel," the dude behind us said, and sure enough he was kneeling toward their leader.
"We'll pass thanks," Yamcha said before tossing me a bag and then the three of them shot towards the three goons while Bojack remained in place. Watching the remaining fights.
Which, ruined the effect of his initial line even more. Like, the dude's waited so long but is still cool with sitting on the bench? C'mon dude.
I opened the bag to find a few Senzu Beans, assumably left over from the Cell Games.
I fed Krillin and Raditz one each before flying over to observe the fights.
Er- fight.
The only one that was still going on was a now Super Sayain Goku and the biggest of the three.
Yamcha and Tien, were kinda out of commission.
I tossed the bag of Senzu's to Krillin to use at his own discretion before heading off to intercept the other dude before he could interfere with Goku's fight, sparked no back to Super myself along the way.
The shorter dude was, kinda annoying, but not too big of an issue. But the woman's hair moved? That, was a lot harder to keep track of in an already two-on-one fight.
Also, she was way too cool for these losers.
I made a note of it when a stray blast broke a hole through the fake sky of the building, creating a jarring break in the aesthetic.
I was so caught up in the fight I didn't notice a projectile coming at me until I was already being pulled out of the way.
My honest first thought was that Goku had somehow gotten Super Sayain Three. Despite that being literally impossible.
I quickly realized that was wrong as I actually looked at the features of the person still holding me, which was remarkable in its own right.
"AAYYY!" I grinned and Raditz's now familiar unnaturally blue-green eyes snapped to me.
He immediately dropped me and stumbled back, looking at his own hands.
It didn't last long until his hair snapped back to black and his eyes in turn. He squinted and shook his head slightly, probably caught off guard by the energy drain.
"T'aw, you care about me," I teased as once again his eyes snapped over to me.
He didn't quite manage any words. Only frustrated noises that probably would have been denials if they formed any coherent thoughts.
Instead, he looked in the directions that the blast had come from and- oh hey- it's that guy I fought before. Guess he woke up, oops.
"This! This is why you kill people so they can't come back to shoot you in the back!" Raditz snapped, which. Fundamentally I saw his point.
Didn't mean I was gonna go around killing people though.
Again I was so distracted I didn't notice a blast until it was, itself, blasted away from hitting me.
I should, probably work on not getting into conversations in an active battle zone actually.
I glanced up to see Piccolo's cape fluttering in utmost dramatics.
Raditz was not as amused. "Do you have a dramatic timing watch? Or do you just sit around on the side until the brat is in a minute amount of danger for you to jump in?" He shouted.
Piccolo did not answer.
And soon the fight began again.
Eventually, I broke free enough to just stand on a building and take stock of what was up.
The two dudes were out. And the woman was injured. I'd personally knocked out the first dude I fought again. Then Raditz killed him because he was petty.
Then he went back to the sidelines where I assumed he felt safe(r).
The guy Goku was fighting was down and so Goku had personally challenged Bojack, which was, going.
Not well per se. But it was going.
Goku wasn't outright losing at least.
"What are you doing?" I glanced up to see Piccolo staring down at me from the corner of his eye.
"Checking to see how things are going," I answered.
"You know that's not what I mean."
I shrugged.
Ok, now Goku was definitely beginning to lose. Or at least it wasn't quite as even as it was before. I guess I should probably-
Another rollercoaster vehicle crashed into the simulated city.
Unfortunately, its course was interrupted and veered off course.
Bojack took the moment of confusion to blast it, sending Mr. Satan falling to the ground with remarkably few injuries.
…
Ok then.
I darted down to meet him, pulling him up to his feet and checking for injuries.
Finding nothing of particular note I nodded.
"You ok?" I asked anyway.
The man was obviously shaken and couldn't do much more than nod.
"There any other cameras?" I asked.
"I don't- I think they've all been destroyed by now."
I nodded and took a few steps back.
"Well, I'm bored of this," without any other explanation I pointed a palm upwards and shot a hole through the simulated sky, beams of light falling through into the room.
I blast a piece of debris out of the way before it got close to Mr. Satan.
I glanced up through the hole and grinned, going Super Sayain before forming a fake moon in my palm. I tossed it up and allowed the now familiar transformation to wash over me.
After that, if Bojack was expecting a fight he was sorely mistaken.
The bigger of his dudes tried to intercept me first, but was knocked aside easily enough. Unlike with Cell initially, I didn't bother holding back any strength.
Apparently, Bojack wasn't so high and mighty when he was guaranteed a win since this caused him to hesitate.
So instead he grabbed the woman and pushed her in front of him, readying an energy blast towards her back as if that was supposed to be an adequate distraction.
Unfortunately for him, I saw each of these moments in relative slow motion.
Before his attempts could even properly be set in motion I was there, tossing the woman aside and selecting the blast in the opposite direction.
Bojack tried to punch me, only for his arm to be caught without a care.
"Like I said before. Probably should double-check where you're going before attacking."
I splayed out a palm towards him.
And then there was no one left to fight.
Well, the woman was still there, but glancing at her she didn't exactly look like she wanted to challenge me, instead backing away under my gaze.
I doubt she'd try anything now.
So I turned away instead.
"What? Why did you-" the woman managed to find her voice when she realized she wasn't in immediate danger.
"Ask Nappa," I said.
"I, do not know who that is."
But I was done with that conversation anyway.
Somehow her voice sounded even smoother in this form and I did not want to deal with that right now, as while before it was just pleasant, now it caused an odd ASMR effect that at best wasn't appropriate for the situation.
So instead I found a dilapidated building to sit on as I waited for the transformation to end.
Raditz-
Raditz sighed as this whole mess was over.
He, supposed he couldn't complain about the whole super Sayain thing anymore.
He didn't even understand how that happened. He just, saw the brat about to get hit and, moved before he could think about it.
He hadn't even wanted to be there. He wanted to leave the second he was given that goddamn heal-all.
Course after it faded he at least had an excuse not to fight as his energy had been sapped away by that power.
Whatever, it was over now at least.
Raditz's eyes drifted over to the last surviving member of the invaders.
The woman looked, scared. Confused. She hadn't moved since their leader had tried to kill her other than to back away from the brat.
Course he knew how, jarring, it was to have everything you've known to be snapped away in an instant.
Everyone else was occupied. Either in some way injured, giving the injured the last of those beans, or just ignoring everyone else.
Raditz sighed and walked over to the woman.
She at least knew he wasn't a threat considering how easily she'd kicked his ass earlier. Hell, even if he figured out how to use the Super Sayain thing on command it'd probably barely help.
Still, her startled eyes locked on him and didn't allow her focus to drift as he approached.
He crouched down so he wasn't towering over her.
"So what are you going to do now?" He asked.
And that seemed to set off a new revelation in her. Once again realizing everything she knew was gone and whatever they were probably going to do before was up in flames now.
She had no plans.
He sighed, "well, I know a place you can stay until you figure it out."
Bulma probably wouldn't mind a new guest. She took the three of them in without much forewarning. Or at least she did Nappa and Vegeta. Raditz was pretty sure she had warning he was going to show up.
"What?" Her eyes snapped back up to him, almost startled.
"I said, I know a place where you can stay for a while," he repeated despite being pretty sure she heard him the first time.
The woman laughed without any humor, "do you expect me to fall for that?"
Raditz sighed, again.
Of course, he'd be more surprised if there was no resistance.
"The first thing I did landing on this planet was beat up my brother kidnap-" not for the first time Raditz cursed there not being a neutral term for niece or nephew- "his kid, and get the both of us killed. Me and my brother that is. Nappa's worse than I am, Vegeta's worse than him. The standards here are not high."
The woman's eyebrows furrowed as she listened, "if you got the both of you killed, how are you, here?"
"This planet is bullshit and sometimes people decide death is inconsequential and wish people back to life."
Somehow, that explanation didn't clear her confusion.
So he elaborated further, "there are magical orbs that if collected can grant a wish, or two now. No, you can't wish your friends back, because they just tried to kill us. Having low standards and actually bringing people back are two different things after all."
Of course, the fact that he was brought back ruined that point but he didn't have to mention that much.
Also, the fact he killed one of them. They probably wouldn't be appreciative of that.
The woman scoffed, "as if I'd want to bring Bojack back after he tried to kill me," her eyes drifted. Perhaps considering the other three but she didn't say whatever she was thinking out loud.
But Raditz was getting tired of kneeling. So he extended a hand, "well?"
The woman still hesitated. As if still expecting some kind of turn. But eventually, she did accept his hand and the both of them stood up.
The ground was awfully dusty after all.
Goku-
Well, that didn't go how Goku wanted it. Not a single thing.
Even when he did get to fight, well it was a great fight actually! That Bojack guy was just as challenging as Cell.
But then, Gohan came in with that form and, made it look easy.
It's gotta be pretty boring for every fight to be that easy. Piccolo had muttered about him not using it earlier but Goku understood not wanting to.
"Goku!"
Goku paused at the familiar voice in his head.
"Hey King Kai! What's up?"
"Goku this is very important. there are a very dangerous group of pirates out for conquest heading to earth! They're of the dangerous Hera Clan and-"
"Uh, do they have blue skin and orange hair?"
"…why do you know that?"
"We already beat them! Also, I think we're keeping one." Goku glanced over at Raditz talking to the lady. That was nice.
"You beat- keeping? Goku no! They are very dangerous and you can't just-"
"Butyou said the same thing about the Sayains and look what happened with them. It'll be fine King Kai, she knows she can't really fight us anyway."
Or at least Gohan, but Goku didn't say that out loud.
That wasn't even true anyway. Goku was pretty sure he'd still be able to beat her in a fight. Maybe Vegeta too.
"Goku listen to me, this is very serious and-"
"C'mon, it'll be fine King Kai. Worst case scenario there's another fight."
King Kai somehow growled through the telepathy, "fine Goku! But don't blame me if it goes wrong!"
He always worried too much.
Oh well.
By the time that conversation ran through Gohan had returned to normal.
Me Satan had also wandered closer. He looked kinda, scared? Confused? Shocked?
He was like that a lot but this time he seemed quieter about it.
"…there are no tricks, are there?" He was looking at Gohan as he said it.
Guess he must have gotten a better view of the transformation this time.
"Unless you call Sayains cheating at life a trick. But otherwise, no," Piccolo said. He was standing on the opposite side of the building Gohan was now asleep on.
"Sayains?"
"Don't worry about it."
Mr. Satan didn't seem to know what to do with that information. He just kinda backed away and sat against a wall of a building.
Gohan woke a lot faster this time though. Soon sitting up and rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
And soon after that, some other people came in, rushing through with what he assumed was rescue equipment and cameras.
"Mr Satan!" A person with a microphone ran up and pushed it toward the man who managed to stand up just in time, "can you please share with us what happened here once you arrived and the cameras went dead?"
"Uh- that is-"
"It was so cool!" Gohan was suddenly there and was talking, not like he usually talked, "he came in and beat all the bad guys! Right?" He looked up at Mr. Satan with a grin.
Mr. Satan looked, really nervous but shook it away.
"Uh- right! Yeah! It was a rather intense battle of course-"
And the man fell back into his usual act.
Well, at least he was consistent.
Seemingly satisfied, Gohan came back over here.
"Again?" Krillin demanded.
"My win, I get to decide who gets the credit."
"Well then You're not allowed to win fights anymore!"
"Great! Win-win."
And while watching the two of them bicker was fun, Goku couldn't help but feel bad again.
Because he wanted Gohan to have one normal tournament, like he used to have. But that didn't even work out how he wanted.
He supposed he could find another tournament but after how this one turned out he didn't really think-
"Hey dad?"
He looked over at Gohan.
"This was pretty fun."
And Gohan's grin gave him no real choice but to believe him.
Ok so here's the thing. I was already gonna keep Zangya, that's like, most the reason I needed to include this movie, but man, her voice caught me so off guard when I was rewatching the movie. Like, that is not a voice I expected out of anywhere of DBZ. You probably totally could not tell
Also uhhhh, how could this movie take place without King Kai's planet blowing up? uhhhhhh idk I never really got why they were sealed away in the first place. Like if they could seal these dudes away, why not Frieza? Like, they're a lot stronger than he was
