I don't own any of this, Loud House belongs to Nickelodeon.
"And that's how Boris manged to obtain this 17th century, 8-year old boy skull." Showing off the skull with a hole on the back of it, Boris does a long bow as the members of the morticians club gives him a slow round of applause.
After Boris takes his skull back to his seat with elegance, Lucy stepped back up to the pedestal with the skull made gavel in her hand. "Thank you Boris for showing us that beautiful skull. May whoever that skull once belonged to. Rest in peace." Banging the gavel to continue on with tonight's meeting, Lucy looked to the rest of the club who have all had their own grizzly treasures with them for this week's meeting.
So far: Haiku had showed her new pet tarantula, Dante showed some possible werewolf hair that he gotten online, (though it was probably regular dog hair as it had that familiar texture), Persephone showed off her new skeleton necklace, Lucy had showed a new spell book that she has bought from the mall yesterday, and Boris had just showed off that beautiful skull. Now it is Morpheus's turn to show what he had brought for the meeting.
With another slow, emotionless applause. Morpheus stepped right on up to the pedestal and waits for the applause to die down before finally speaking. "My fellow club members. Tonight I have brought to you the eyeball of a deer." Holding out his hands, Morpheus shows his fellow morticians a small jar that contains the eyeball of the dead animal.
The others ohhed and awed at the very sight for it is just so grotesque and very much showed the lifelessness in the center of the pupil. "How did you acquire this specimen?" Haiku questioned in amazement.
"My crow brought it to me earlier this morning. So it's still pretty fresh." Morpheus answered, earning several more impressed awes for that is such a treasure to behold for the whole club. It was just as wonderful as the time Lucy borrowed a brain in a frozen jar from Lisa, which took a lot of convincing to do as Lisa didn't want to part with the brain she acquired from the institute.
"That is a very interesting piece of flesh you have presented us with Morpheus. You may retake your seat now, so that we can get to the last part of our meeting." Lucy instructed for this last is going to be very important.
Morpheus bows and heads back to his seat with his prize eyeball. Shortly after he took his seat, his crow suddenly takes off into the night sky. "Hey Morpheus. Your crow just flew off." Persephone spoke up out of concern for she didn't want her friend to loose his pet.
"Don't worry he is just going off to use the bathroom." He reassured Persephone for he has trained his crow to do that so that no accidents would occur on his dry clean only cape.
Morpheus's crow flies to the very edge of the cemetery, he takes several white bombs that hit trees, the grass, and the rocky wall that covered the back of the cemetery.
He flies on down to the said wall where he lands on it and took a good outlook to the graves that seemed to have stretched outwards over the horizon. Being with the morticians club for the past two years, he had grew to appreciate the graves that the cemetery held, and he is always careful not to have his poop bombs hit any of them as that would be very disrespectful for those that are having their eternal rest.
Letting out a few caws, he then begins groom his wings to take care of the bugs that are on them. As he does so, the blob slowly comes on out from behind two bushes very silently. It just as silently rolls straight towards the unaware bird who continues to groom himself.
"And so, if we manage to create the best Edwin model by next Friday. We could get the chance to win the contest and once again be on Vampires Of Melancholia with even bigger roles than last time." Lucy explained to her fellow club members who all showed their optimus, well the best that they can show on their usual emotionless faces.
It is a good reason for them to feel happy, as it's their absolute dream to be on Vampires Of Melancholia and to meet the one and only Edwin. They have been on the show before as background characters, it had been an absolute blast and ever since then, they wanted to do it again.
As mentioned before, they'll be on a much more bigger role as Edwin's vampire buddies. They'll be able to spend so much more time with him, that is if they can win the contest that is. Which is why they'll have to create the greatest model of Edwin that they could ever create and they already have a few ideas to make one.
"So Edwin and Griselda are standing in front of his coffin with bats behind them." Haiku explained with hers hands doing the impression of a flying bat.
"That's good." Dante complimented before adding in his own idea for the model. "We could also add in some blood to Edwin's chin from his previous meal."
"Have it all dark with the stony background of Edwin's basement." Persephone added in for she can already see it now. A model within a diagram that had great details of Edwin's castle's basement.
"Plus for a final touch. We can make it fog up to further show off the creepiness factor." Morpheus then chimed in. Unknown to all of them though, he is wondering in the back of his mind on where his crow is? He should've been back from his bathroom run by now. Perhaps he is doing a little grooming or something that's taking his time up. He'll just have to wait for his crow to come back in his own time. Besides he needed to be in full concentration in order to bring to life their idea on this model.
"Those all sound like good ideas." Lucy spoke up. "We'll have to work very hard in order to complete it, but remember. Our hard work will be worth it by the end. Just think of meeting Edwin again and if things go right, our goals will come into reality."
"Yes" Haiku agreed. "Will have to work on it first thing tomorrow morning, if we want to get a head start on the project."
"Good thinking Haiku. Now that's addressed, I conclude this meeting of the morticians clu-" Suddenly to Lucy's and the rest of the club's surprise, Fangs flies on down to land on his owner's shoulder. Screeching in a panic as he flaps his wings in a absolute frenzy.
"What's the matter Fangs?" Lucy asked in concern for her pet looked very scared. Fangs replies in a series of screeches before finally pointing his wings towards behind the rest of the club members.
Lucy and the rest of the club looked to where Fang's is pointing at and are caught by surprise to see a blob-like thing, (about the size of Lynn Jr.) rolling right at them with what looked to be the groundskeepers boot sticking right out of its body.
The morticians club are completely loss for words at this thing's sudden appearance. What in the world exactly is this thing? Is perhaps the biggest question that they all have for they have never in their lives seen anything like it before.
"Did a ghost possess a glob of jello?" Dante question as he scratched his head.
"Boris hopes not. As Boris doesn't like the feel of jello, it's too squishy for Boris's liking." Boris quivers.
"Whatever it is. It's best to stay away from it as it looks like that it killed groundskeeper Bob." Lucy warned her friends as for no matter on how much she and her friends praise death, they didn't want to join in on the afterlife just yet.
The others took her words and went over to Lucy's side, but the thing kept rolling right at them. Haiku grabs a candle and jugs it at the thing, it stops as the flames from the candle quickly envelopes the blob.
They all felt relieved for it looks like that Haiku just killed whatever the thing is, which is great for they were actually starting to get a little scared. Lucy turns to Haiku and places a grateful hand on her shoulder with a small smile showing. "Smart thinking Haiku."
Haiku shrugs her shoulder. "It was just an impulse I had. No big deal."
"Guys. You might want to hold off on the celebration." Persephone warned with visible uneasiness in her voice.
Looking back to the thing, Lucy and the rest of the club couldn't believe their eyes as the fire extinguishes itself to reveal that it absolutely did no damage to the blob, which just continues to roll right towards them.
"It just shrugged off the fire as if it was nothing." Morpheus said in disbelief. How can a creature shrug off being on fire? It is utterly abnormal. Straight out of this world!
The morticians club rarely showed fear, but as of right now, they are very truly scared. They were so scared in fact, that they turned back and ran in the other direction. Thankfully as they ran for their lives, they all discovered that this blob wasn't that fast as it rolled after them.
Driving by the cemetery. Lori and Bobby are caught by complete surprise to see Lucy along with her spooky friends come running out through the cemetery gates.
Bobby screeches the car to a stop, while Lori with great concern pulls down her window and stuck her head out. "Lucy! Why are all of you running?"
Lucy and the others skid to a stop with some nearly falling on their rear ends from pulling a such sudden stop. They turned to face her with Lucy smiling in huge relief for her oldest sister chose the perfect moment to come right on through here, thank the spirits that they arrange this to happen.
Quicky she and her friends rush on over to the car. "Lori. Thank goodness you're here. We need you to get us away from here as quickly as possible."
"Why? What's the problem? Don't you usually like the cemetery?" Lori questioned in worry for this is so unlike her gothic sister.
"It's not the cemetery." Morpheus spoke up with visible sweat going down his face.
"What?" Lori questions further.
"It's this thing! This jello thing!" Dante explained.
"Jello thing?" Bobby now question for that sure is a strange explanation for running out of a cemetery. If you were running out of a graveyard, it was usually because of either ghosts or zombies, not jello.
Bobby isn't the only one bewildered by this answer. Lori is way more of this for how can her sister and her spooky friends be afraid of jello to the point of running away in pure terror? It sounded really silly, considering these guys speak with ghosts, hang in the cemetery, and seen a good amount of corpses.
Seeing the look on both Lori's and Bobby's faces. Lucy had to further explained this rather strange situation she and her friends have found themselves in tonight. "I know how this sounds Lori, but believe me. This jello thing is something that none of us as ever seen before and we are a hundred percent certain that it ate groundskeeper Bob."
"A glob of jello is alive and ate someone?" Lori questioned some more, for she wasn't sure that this was just some elaborate joke that Luan set them up with.
"I know it sounds outlandish, but you got to believe me Lori. There's a living blob creature back there and it was after us. It could make it's way here any minute now." Lucy pleaded.
Lori couldn't believe it. It was just so, so weird to even be true. Yet, Lucy and the rest of her friends do looked very scared and it takes a lot to actually give them a scare. Whatever was really going on around here? Lori's sisterly instincts kicked in. "Alright Lucy jump in and will drive you back home."
"Thank you Lori." Lucy said in great gratitude before opening up the back door for her friends who all poured into the car, before Lucy herself jumped in and shut the door. After everyone is settled into their seats, Bobby turns the car around and headed back towards the Loud house.
The car is a good distance away when the blob rolled out from the front gate. It stops on the sidewalk, watching the fading taillights of Bobby's car. A few seconds pass before it eventually rolls off to find more prey that it can wrap itself around in.
Although Lori is a bit annoyed that they have to go all the way back to the house. She couldn't allow herself to show any bit of annoyance for her sister's comfort comes first and she'll be glad to give her spooky sister a sense of safety after what ever happened to them earlier. Bobby meanwhile didn't mind driving all the way back to the house, as he is just happy to help out.
In the backseats; some of Lucy's friends were looking nervously out through the windows for any sign of that blob thing fallowing them. They couldn't see anything, meaning that they could've lost it, but it is still out there somewhere. Lurking in the shadows as it looks for anything to consume.
Eventually the car reached the west point of the beginning of Franklin Ave. Not wanting to deal with her dad again, Lori tells Bobby to park in front of the street sign. "Here we are guys." She addressed them.
"Shouldn't you park in front of our house?" Lucy asked for this is a bit away from the house.
"We would Lucy, but we stopped by here earlier and you know how dad is going to get if he spots us coming back." Lori explained in which Lucy fully understood now on why they didn't park in front of the house. "Alright then. Thanks for taking us here. You got us a good distance away from that blob."
"Your welcome Lucy." Lori still couldn't believe it, but she might as well ask her about it. "Lucy, What did this blob look like exactly?"
"It was blood red, about the same size of Lynn, and is immune to fire." Lucy answered in a grave tone of voice, before she exited out of the car with her friends. Shutting the car door, she and the rest of the morticians club disappeared into the night, leaving Lori and Bobby to be very complex over this whole ordeal.
"Boy, I sure hope we don't run into that blob." Bobby quivered in fear, earning a look from Lori. "You can't possibly believe this blob story."
"Well, they did look very scared and we both know that they aren't usually afraid of anything." Bobby pointed out.
"True, but come on Bobby. A large blob creature running around through town. That's sounds very hard to believe." Lori replied with a bit of a chuckle at the end.
"I know babe, but what if it's true?" He nervously question.
"Then we go see if it is." Lori answered much to Bobby's absolute shock. "What?!"
"Look, the only way to see if it's true is to see it for ourselves." Lori explained.
"But isn't that how people die in horror movies." He nervously pointed out for that fact is very well true.
"Don't worry Boo-Boo Bear. Nothing bad will happen to us." Lori replied firmly.
"You absolutely sure about that?" Bobby usually doesn't doubt Lori decisions, but he really didn't feel like getting eaten by whatever Lucy and her friends had encountered.
"Yes, I'm sure." Lori replied to reassure him. "Now let's head on back to the cemetery to find any evidence of this suppose blob creature."
Once again making a u-turn with the car. Bobby fearfully drove on back in the direction of the cemetery. He really hoped that Lori is right about this thing not being real, for he really didn't want to see it for himself.
