Chapter - 2

Twinleaf town, Sinnoh

Anthony shuffled in his spot on the bench. Feeling the judging heat of the sun burning through his eyes, he opened them, However, his naked eyes were exposed to white light which seared his eyes, causing him to screw them shut. He tried to find a comfortable position to continue his sleep, irritated. He placed his hand on a woody smooth surface which was moderately warm.

Wait, woody?

Suddenly feeling much more aware, he raised his head and opened his eyes yet again, feeling more awake by the moment. This time however, he was greeted by various sights. The clear blue sky was the first thing he noticed. It was cloudless, painted a light blue hue as he squinted, he could make out a few silhouettes flying about. He tilted his head and was greeted by the sweet yet unfamiliar sight of civilization. There were a variety of houses, with one that seemed oddly familiar to him. He also could've sworn that a sweet smell emanated from one of them. Beyond the houses, he could see a bright green plain extending its reach upto the forest which went around the edge of the plains, all overshadowed by the green mountains in the farthest reach of his vision. It would have been home to anyone living in the countryside, however for a normal boy like Anthony who lived in a normal neighborhood, decorated with sidewalks and black roads which featured the occasional vehicle, this was all unfamiliar to him. Moreover, his neighborhood was overshadowed by the glass, sky high skyscrapers of Quebec which were a pain in the ass to look at, always reflecting light into your eyes, not lush-green mountains which set your mind at ease and drew the beauty of nature exactly like a painting. Blinking, he pushed past his sleepiness and looked around more, observing the variety of the people around him. He saw a stout man with a typical dad shirt and pants and slippers kneeling next to a Cosmog and Eevee, who were looking up at him curiously. The sight of the purple cloud like Pokemon stirred something within Anthony- the memories of his encounter with the Interpol and Aether paradise came rushing to mind. Images of him and John running, his friend falling into the ravine, and him frantically jumping after hi-

'HOLD UP! JOHN! IS HE OKAY?!' His mind screamed, and all semblances of sleepiness vanished quickly and he looked around frantically, finding his friend sleeping peacefully on the same bench he was on. He blinked, then remembered the Cosmog, no, his Cosmog teleported them amidst its panic.

'That's right, we got teleported didn't we? The question is, where to?'

The place seemed oddly familiar, although he couldn't put his finger on why. He then remembered the man a few feet away, which was about to pet Cosmog.

Suddenly overcome with urgency, he quickly ran over to the man who was about to place a hand on his Cosmog and lifted it up, earning a startled "Pew?!" And a blink from the man. Anthony stared at the man, daring to try and capture his starte-

"Ah, that was your Pokemon, wasn't it? Sorry, I hadn't seen one like it before so I was a bit confused. You probably shouldn't let it run around, though. Arceus knows what would happen if those wretched Pokemon thieves ever saw a Pokemon like yours. I assume that Eevee is yours too?"

Anthony blinked perplexedly, before realizing that the man was just confused at the sight of the foreign pokemon. He felt a tinge of guilt at barging in rudely on assumptions. He quickly apologized.

"Uh, I'm sorry for barging in like that. You see, my Pokemon just teleported us to god knows where, and I'm kind of confused. And no, the Eevee is my friend's, who is sleeping on the bench over there." He pointed his finger at the form of his friend sleeping without a care in the world. The man's eyes softened.

"Ah, I see, things like that happen to beginning Psychic trainers all the time. You're currently in Twinleaf town in the Sinnoh region."

Anthony felt his heart clench a little at the name 'Sinnoh'. He knew they were in Alola before since he clearly set the spawn point as so, and everything he saw there seemed to indicate it. While he did know that his Cosmog teleported them, but…

It teleported them to another region?!

If anyone got word of him having means to long distance, accurate teleportation like this, he would have to go in hiding from the various grabby hands that would surround him, trying to get their hands on his starter. He looked at the Cosmog in his arms, which was looking up at him curiously, not much differently from how a curious child would look at its parents.

Now that he actually had time to think about his situation, it instilled both a childlike wonder and excitement which he hadn't felt since the day he went hiking with his dad and at the same time, left him with a bitter feeling about not being able to see them. Moreover, he just realized it now, but Cosmog's were more useless than a Magikarp if you wanted to defend yourself, hence why Lillie never used it in battle, only using it for teleportation.

While he strongly wished to have picked a better Pokemon, and was mentally slapping himself in the face for choosing Cosmog out of every Pokemon he could have gotten, Cosmog was his responsibility now, whether he liked it or not. Well, he probably was going to use it's teleport since it was a handy ability and the reason he picked it in the first place, even if he did feel a little guilty for it. He definitely wasn't going to do it to the point it caused it pain, though. The thought of the Aether bastards preaching about how they cared for Pokemon- yet keeping their Cosmog sealed away in a container constantly causing it pain made him a little mad, although not to the point of rage. After all, he had just come into this world from another, as weird as it sounded saying, and he hadn't really experienced any sort of bonding or friendship with Pokemon. Nor was he like the special kids, always being obsessed over Pokemon and going on a hero journey, followed by which they caught legendaries just because the plot wanted them to. The only thing that made him a little special was that he had a Cosmog, which he hadn't even acquired through normal means, and the fact that he was a Faller.

"You okay, kid? You've got a dark look on your face."

"A-Ah, I'm okay, don't worry about it." He replied. The man stared at him for a few moments and Anthony got increasingly uncomfortable under his gaze with each second. He finally sighed and pointed to John, who was beginning to stir from his once-peaceful slumber on the bench, probably due to the sun which was right on top of him.

"Well, if you do want to get home, this town certainly won't help. I wish I could've, but sadly, I don't have anything that could help you. You should probably head to Sandgem town. Maybe Professor Rowan could give you a hand. He's been focusing on young trainers for quite a bit, even if he looks intimidating. And with a rare Pokemon like yours, you will probably get accepted. You could start by helping your friend over there get up."

Anthony nodded and went back to John, Cosmog nestled in his arms and John's Eevee tailing him. He arrived at the bench, in front of John who was now opening his eyes. He still had not become fully aware, so Anthony snapped his fingers in front of him.

"Wake up, John. We've got stuff to do."

John looked at him and blinked both of his eyes alternatingly. He then opened his mouth and let out a few slurred words.

"Do…"

"Do what?" Anthony asked, confused.

"Do u kno da wae?" John said with half lidded eyes which were still not aware, from what Anthony could see.

"..." Anthony blinked a few times, registering what his friend had said, before he suddenly placed Cosmog in front of John's nose.

"Make him sneeze." He said. The Cosmog giggled and rubbed its fuzzy arm against his friend's nose, causing him to take a sharp inhale of air and sneeze with a loud ACHOO! And suddenly stand up, fully awake this time. Anthony stood opposite to him, facing him with a smirk on his face.

"Bru, this is the third time you've woken me up like this. I met Ugandan Knuckles and was about to showdown him with my awesome muscle-" John drawled, pointing an accusing finger at Anthony. He pushed the finger down with a deadpan look and shot back, interrupting John.

"This is also the third time you've had that same god damn dream, and you ain't showing off nobody with your noodle arms." He finished, poking John's arms, which were still thin, even in his new body.

"Oof, I felt that." John said, reeling back with a hand on his chest. However, he had a smile on his face, although it was a well-practiced one.

"I'm sure you did. Now, it's time to talk and get our shit together." Anthony replied, waving his hand, also with a smile on his face. "Let's go sit under that tree or something, where there's shade and nothing can bother us." He pointed to a tree a few feet away from them, near the exit to the town and walked over to it. John nodded and followed him.

Once they were sitting under the tree with each of their Pokemon in their arms, Anthony unzipped his bag and gestured to John's.

"Let's see what we've got in our bags. We did get that item selection window, remember?"

"Yeah, got it."

Anthony first took out his laptop and phone and placed it on the grass, and the Pokemon looked curiously at it, with the Eevee inching towards the laptop and started pressing a few buttons on the keyboard, before seeing that nothing happened, went back to John's side and curled up against him and went to sleep. Anthony's Cosmog picked up the phone and looked at Anthony and brought it to him, as if asking how to use it. Anthony amusedly pressed the power button on it and the Cosmog looked on in wonder at the Android logo popping up, followed by his home screen, which featured a normal background. The purple Pokemon tried to swipe and touch it, but its gaseous body did nothing to the phone's touch screen, causing it to drop it in frustration and float upto Anthony, who was watching it all with a smile on his face. He petted the Cosmog, causing its frustrated expression to turn into a happy one and it went to sleep on top of John's Eevee. John looked at them for a few seconds and muttered "precious" under his breath, before his breath before going back to searching his bag. Anthony managed to take out three things, which both disappointed him and surprised him.

Two beast balls and a….

Z - Power ring.

He blinked, his mouth open in shock, comprehending the items in his hand. Looking to John, he found his friend slipping on another Z - Power ring and locking it with a click. He also had two normal pokeballs in his hand.

"Damn, these items are trash. All I got is a stupid bracelet of some sort and normal pokeballs." He said. Anthony immediately interjected, offended.

"Bro, that's a fucking Z- Power ring! You can unleash Z moves with it! Provided you… have… the… crystals…." He started before trailing off and silently rummaging through his bag to find any sort of Z-Crystals, but found none. He then blankly stared at the Z - Power Ring in his hand, his thoughts running wild.

Z - Power rings only worked if he had crystals. And well, joy, they didn't. Moreover, they were in fucking Sinnoh and in the first place, they couldn't even go to Alola, thanks to the Aether Foundation knowing about their existence. And he had no idea what the island guardians would do to him if they found out two random-ass guys had ways to capture ultra beasts and had Cosmog, and a Z-ring, both which were kind of acquired illegally. The island guardians were fickle and petty as hell from his knowledge. He was pretty sure they normally didn't exactly hand out Z-rings like candy and the only reason Ash got one was because of plot bullshit and him being the MC. And the beast balls were also useless in Sinnoh, since Ultra beasts normally only came to Alola. Moreover, they wouldn't be able to defeat one in the first place.

In short, they had three useless items and zero money.

"Yeah, these items are trash for us right now and we're probably fucked." He said dryly. He was mentally slapping himself in the face again for not selecting a keystone or something at the item selection screen.

"So, we have zero money, trash items, have zero knowledge of what's going on and we don't even know how battles work here. In short, we aren't probably fucked, we are fucked." John replied, looking more tired by the minute, even though he was just sleeping a few minutes ago.

"...Let's just go meet Professor Rowan already. I don't need more of my mood ruined." Anthony grumbled, gingerly slipping on the Z- Power ring and placing his laptop in his bag and finally getting up. He held his phone in his hand, and gazed at it with a hint of sadness, the smiling faces of his mom and dad popping up in his mind. Before he could dwell more on it however, he felt something fuzzy brush against his chest, and found his now awake Cosmog looking up at him with a frown, tears beginning to form from its eyes. Anthony stared at it for a few moments, contemplating what was happening.

'Is… Is it worried about me?'

He moved his hand over its tears and wiped them away, patting its head with a fond smile, which seemed to calm it down. It sniffled and pushed deeper into his chest, rubbing its face against his shirt before flying up and landing on his head, all hints of its sadness vanished. Anthony playfully flicked a finger against its head, causing it to rub it and pout. He chuckled then started rubbing his chin, deep in thought.

"Thanks, little guy. Speaking of which, we probably should give you a name… can't keep calling you Cosmog forever." Anthony said, getting an excited "Pew!" In return. He then looked to John.

"Hey John, you gonna name your Eevee?"

"Ah, well, I guess I have to. What are you gonna name yours?" John said, looking at Anthony with a questioning glance. He shrugged and replied.

"I'm just gonna go with Cosmo. My naming skills suck anyway. No point in wasting time on it. Besides, he seems to like it." He finished, looking at his Cosmog, who happily giggled at the name.

"Wow, really original name." John said with a deadpan.

"Name yours first, then we can decide which is worse." Anthony shot back, offended. John stuck his tongue at him and looked at his Eevee, who had woken up and was circling John.

"Hey Eevee, what should I name you?" He asked, kneeling down to its level. The Eevee's ears rose and it looked up at John's words.

"I asked you if you have any idea what to call you." John repeated. His Eevee tilted its head before it started pacing around, muttering sounds that were lost on John and Anthony, before walking upto John and pointing at him.

"Vee, Eevee, Vee Eevee!"

"Uh, what?" John replied, confused by the gesture.

"I think it wants you to choose, John." Anthony supplied helpfully watching the interaction amusedly. John looked surprised before petting its head happily. The Eevee purred and pressed into it, contently. John practically melted at the act, before remembering the responsibility bestowed onto him.

"Awww, thanks! I'll select the best name ever for you!" He replied, pointing a finger into the air.

"Hurry up already. I want to get to Professor Rowan before the sun sets." Anthony deadpanned. John sulked at having his moment ruined.

"Party pooper, " He muttered. Anthony raised an eyebrow.

"What was that?"

"Nothing! Anyway, let me think of a name for you… hmm… Ah! How about Juves!" John said thinking and finally proclaiming his idea, a smile on his face. His response was getting nipped by his Eevee, causing John to yelp in pain. Anthony stood there for a few minutes before he started laughing, causing the blue eyed teen to look at him with a frown.

"The fuck?! It's a perfect name! I mean, come on, it's JUVES. Jolteon, Umbreon, Volteon, Espeson, Sylveon! It's perfect for an Eevee."

The Eevee looked more angry by the moment and nipped John again, forcing yet another yelp out of him and another round of laughs from Anthony.

"Haha…. Ha… Ha….Dude, That's not the problem." He said, struggling to breath while still chuckling to himself. John glared at him in response.

"Oh yeah, smartass? Then you tell me what's the problem!"

"Geez, you're still dumb as ever. Look at its tail, it's a girl, not a boy, moron." Anthony pointed to the Eevee's tail. Causing John to look at it, and his expression morphed into a shocked one, with his mouth hung open.

"Wait, you were a girl?! I thought you were a boy!"

The Eevee huffed and turned away, causing Anthony to chuckle yet again and John to slump.

"Damn it, here I thought I'd met my partner for life…. And I couldn't even figure out it was a girl…." He muttered, looking despondently at the ground.

"Well, I guess you gotta get her a girl name now." Anthony said, shrugging.

John quickly rose to his feet and started thinking again.

"Hmmmm, how about Julia?" He asked his Eevee. What he got in response was another huff. John groaned and started thinking.

"Alright, Ava!" Another huff.

"Biscuit!" This time she nipped him again.

"Alright! Fine! This is my last one! Nova! It matches Anthony's Cosmog's name too!" John screamed, frustration leaking into his voice. To his surprise, she nodded her head happily and ran over to him and rubbed against his leg, causing Anthony to snort and John's face to instantly brighten. Cosmog, now known as Cosmo, floated towards her happily and patted its head with one of its fuzzy arms, causing her to nuzzle into it with a squeak.

"Pew, Pewpew Pew!"

"Vee, Eevee Eevee Vee!"

"Well, it seems like they're happy. Anyway, time to go to Sandgem town and see if we can meet professor Rowan." Anthony remarked and strode forward, causing John to follow him in pursuit. Nova and Cosmo let out sounds of agreement and followed their trainers.

John and Anthony were currently walking on Route 201, en route to Sandgem town. While John complained about wanting to go to Lake Verity, Anthony replied that they had a lot of stuff to do and promised him they'd visit it later. He again had to prevent John from freaking out at every Pokemon they saw and comparing it to animals in their world. Coupled with the Cosmog following them, they got quite a few weird looks from the occasional trainers they found on the road. Anthony did his best to ignore them, until they got their first obstacle in the form of a young trainer blocking their way.

He looked like the typical youngster from the games, which made Anthony curse in his mind.

'God, please tell me this isn't what I think it is.' He thought, praying to Arceus that he would just pass them without any prob-

"Hey you! I'm Logan! I haven't seen a Pokemon like that yet. It must be strong, battle me!" The boy, now known as Logan, yelled, pointing his finger at Anthony.

Anthony muttered under his breath before putting on his best smile. Even if he was grimacing underneath at the familiar line he heard a million times from a screen, not real life.

"Sorry, I'm not really that much of a battler. You could ask my friend, however." He replied as politely as he could and pointed to John, who looked oddly interested at the idea.

"Ah, I see, sorry about that. I just can't help myself when I see new Pokemon. Hehehe. I mean, only strong trainers have rare Pokemon, right?" The white shirted boy replied, rubbing his head sheepishly before suddenly pointing his finger at John this time. "Alright, then! You with the Eevee! Battle me!" He yelled, in the same intensity as before. Anthony looked to his friend who seemed excited and nervous at the same time. He knew that he would already be sweating bullets if he was in John's place, although he wasn't sure if his blue eyed friend was just good at hiding his emotions. John looked at Nova, whose eyes seemed more focused than before.

"Hey, you wanna battle? I'm all up for it if you are." He asked softly, like how Anthony would hear him talk to his husky at home, and got an enthusiastic "Vee!" In response, causing his face to split into a grin.

"Alright, let's do this! Nova! Go get 'em!" He yelled and she jumped in front of him with a confident yell. Opposite to him, Logan threw out a pokeball which snapped open, shooting out a beam of light which morphed into a bird shape. The light then dissolved into small particles, revealing a Starly. It released a loud chirp from its beak.

"I choose you, Starly!"

"STARLYYYY!"

Anthony looked at the Starly, who had its gaze trained on its opponent in front of it, watching it calmly and cautiously, looking for any sudden movement or weakness.

'Jesus Christ, I didn't know birds could look that fierce. And if real life Pokemon battles work how I think they do, John is fucked.'

He watched both opponents and their Pokemon get ready for the battle and silently prayed that this would at least end favourable and his friend won't screw it all up.

'Please use Convey and not Tackle, Please Joh-'

"Tackle his ass, Nova!" John yelled enthusiastically.

'God damnit, John. You had one fucking job.' Anthony thought, facepalming.

His Eevee ran forward at speed which made John and Anthony look in surprise a little.

"Holy shit! I didn't know you had that much speed! Go get that Starly, Nova!" John yelled, encouraging her. She increased her speed and….

The Starly flew up. Unsurprisingly.

The Eevee came to a stop, having missed her target completely. dust coming out from under her legs. She looked up at the now flying Starly above it with a frown on her face, clearly upset. The Starly had what appeared to be a smirk on its beak and chirped mockingly at it. John was about to open his mouth to say something, but was interrupted by the youngster, who had a grin on his face.

"Finish it with Quick attack, Starly!" He yelled, causing Anthony to freeze up and internally start panicking, which he was sure was what his friend was feeling right now.

'...It knows Quick Attack. He's so fucked.'

The Starly raised a loud cackle before it blurred. It charged forward so fast that Anthony could've sworn he saw it leave fucking afterimages. Even John had his jaw dropping at the speed. It hit Nova, launching her into the air. The youngster wasn't finished, however, and quickly followed up with another quick attack, and another, not giving the Eevee time to react. Anthony watched silently, taking glances at his friend, who was clenching his hand and gritted his teeth. He could've sworn he saw a flash of guilt wash over John's face, but didn't comment on it.

'Pokemon fights looked epic as hell in the anime, but now I just feel like an ass watching animals get beat up for fun. Hell, if my cat or John's dog was in this situation, I would beat the guy responsible into next week. I think I understand now why N was so against Pokemon Battles. PETA would have a field day in this world.' He thought bitterly, finally seeing the battle coming to an end, the dust settling. It revealed John's Eevee completely unconscious, swirls over her eyes and bruises all over her body. The youngster pumped his fist in the air.

'Well, that's that. So much for being the very best. Then again, this is real life. It's stupid to think that you can just powerhouse though everything like the games.' Anthony pondered, lamenting that the first battle his friend experienced had ended with a humiliating loss. He was interrupted from his thoughts however, at the sudden whimpering sound coming from above his head. Realising it was coming from Cosmo, he reached out a hand to calm it down.

"Don't worry, She'll be oka-"

Before Anthony could finish his sentence, he was overcome with a sudden piercing sensation in his head, and clutched it in his head.

"What the hell…?" He muttered. The pain continued to grow, causing him to bite his lip. Then he suddenly felt a variety of emotions overwhelm him. He widened his eyes at the emotions that shot through his mind amidst the throbbing headache. He felt his headache grow with each second, and the emotions he felt deepened, causing his breath to hitch. Feeling the all-too familiar feeling of guilt and helplessness coil around him like a snake, whispering about how weak he was, unable to even help his friend, who was brutally beaten and was laying on the ground a few feet in front o-

Anthony suddenly felt the emotions stop and the weight on his chest lift as he jolted, all traces of what happened disappearing, leaving him with a slight ringing in his ears. He blinked, reflecting on the short emotions which shot through him and disappeared in a heartbeat. They seemed familiar, but at the same time, so… foreign. Like they weren't his to begin with it. His rumination came to a halt when he found Logan laying on the ground, with a furious John towering above him. He quickly widened his eyes at the familiar sight in front of him, past memories flooding him.

"Awww, does little Johnny boy want his lunch money back? Well, too bad, you're gonna have to get from somewhere else! Well, since you're a momma's boy, I bet that'll be easy for you, right? Or do you wanna be like beanpole over here? "

"...What the hell is your problem?"

"Hmmm? Well, you see, this is the ceremony which our juniors go through. We seniors went through this and so you do you guys. Hell, seeing you and your stupid beanpole walk into this place like those stupid Teacher's pets already pissed me off, so now you're gonna have to pay the price now "

"...Shut up."

"Huh? What was that? I didn't hear you~ speak lou-"

*Crunch*

"Ow- What the hell?!"

"I TOLD YOU BASTARDS TO SHUT UP! WHO THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?! ME AND ANTHONY WERE JUST MINDING OUR OWN BUSINESSES WHEN YOU ASSHOLES COME IN LIKE YOU OWN THE PLACE, SHOUTING ABOUT 'CEREMONIES' AND GARBAGE! WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO BEAT UP MY FRIEND AND STEAL HIS MONEY?!"

"You damn son of a bitch- That's it, you asked for it. Kick his ass, boys."

"BRING IT ON, DAMN IT!"

"ENOUGH! ALL OF YOU, STAND DOWN! TO THE PRINCIPAL'S OFFICE, NOW!"

"I'm sorry, the both of you, but we have no choice but to expel you and the other boys. We have no idea who caused the incident, and we have no need for delinquents in our school."

"WHAT?! BUT THEY STARTED IT! AND THIS IS LITERALLY OUR THIRD DAY HERE!"

"Mr. John, with all due respect, I suggest you behave her-"

"DON'T FUCK WITH ME! YOU JUST WANT TO COVER UP THOSE IDIOTS RAGGING OTHER STUDENTS IN YOUR OH-SO PRESTIGIOUS SCHOOL SO YOUR REPUTATION DOESN'T GO TO HE-"

"Let's just go, John."

"You're saying this too, Anthony?! Even after how hard they beat yo-"

"We. are. getting. out. of. here, John. Don't question me."

"FINE, DAMMIT! YOU AND YOUR COWARDLY ASS…"

Before he knew it, he was practically going through his worst memories like a film. The same feelings from before, but his own this time, were spreading like a wildfire through his mind. He felt the weight on his chest multiply and found himself unable to even breathe. Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision as if putting a curtain over everything that was happening.

"PEW!"

"Huh?! Wha-"

He felt something fluffy press against his cheeks, and lifting his head, he found himself staring into a yellow, tear stained face.

"...Cosmo?"

It moved and pointed its arm at a sight that caused Anthony to start running before he knew it, and he quickly looped his arms around John's shoulders, locking them and pulling him back from the fearful white shirted kid in front of him. He heard a few gasps from somewhere, and faint crying, but he was too focused on preventing his friend from assaulting a kid and getting the unconscious Eevee to a Pokemon center. He screamed at John with all his might.

"STOP IT, JOHN! WE HAVE TO GET TO SANDGEM TOWN POKEMON CENTER NOW!"

"GET OFF ME! FIRST HE HUMILIATES MY EEVEE AND NOW HE DEMANDS MONEY?! I'M GOING TO GIVE HIM A PIECE OF MY MIND!" John screamed in return, his fists swinging widely in the air. Logan got up, tears pricking at his eyes and shivering slightly and he bowed, which caused both of them to pause. He stammered out an apology, his voice breaking multiple times

"I-I'M SORRY! I WAS TOLD THAT YOU COULD *sniff* GET MONEY IF YOU BATTLE TRAINERS… and I thought you had battled before… which you clearly haven't…"

John's face immediately fell, realizing his screw up, a stark contrast from his usual self, and he looked down in shame, at the while Anthony tried to apologize quickly to defuse the situation.

"Hey, sorry about this, my friend kinda has anger issues and we don't have any money so could you let us off the hoo-"

However, their apologies were interrupted by a furious chirp and Anthony simultaneously experienced the feeling of wind rushing against his face and a pissed Starly charging towards him. However, the bright light coupled with a familiar scream that both He and John recognised caused it to stop mid air and shield its eyes. Anthony looked behind himself and found the same light from when they first teleported being emitted by his tear stricken Cosmog again.

"PEEEEEWWW!"

"OH SHIT NOT AGAI-"

"...Since this is your first time and you two are clearly inexperienced kids, I will overlook the fact that you got into a battle without having at least a trainer or youngster ID. And trying to beat up a trainer due to losing it. If your friend hadn't stopped you, you two would have been in jail, not here." The stern voice of Nurse Joy echoed through the Pokemon Center. A few people snickered at the duo bowing their heads in shame in front of her, but were quickly shut up by an intense glare in their direction. She sighed and her eyes softened.

"Look, I get you kids were excited to have your first battle with your Pokemon, one of which I haven't seen in my life, which I would very much like to know how you found it, but you still shouldn't try to beat up a kid for losing the battle. Anyway, I would like the both of you to come with me so we can clear up a few things while your Pokemon recover." She said, the last part coming out of her mouth with a voice that made both Anthony and several others shiver and grimace. He was already thinking about several ways to bullshit through whatever questions she had. While John looked more pathetic than Anthony has ever seen him, every word from the Joy crashing down on him like a ton of bricks.

"...Alright, we'll come with you." John breathed out, his voice a whisper, which surprised Anthony even more.

'Why wasn't he like this when he yelled at the principal and me?' He thought, following her and her Chansey into another room. Looking around he was surprised to find a normal doctor's room, with white walls and two beds, one small and one big, which Anthony figured was for small and big Pokemon. It even had a table with medical instruments scattered on it. With a click, Nurse Joy locked the door behind them and went to the table and sat on a chair, before guestering them to the chairs which were on the opposite side. They sat quietly in them, and she nodded and threw out a Pokeball which snapped open to reveal a chimecho. It chimed and focused its eyes on the pair, causing Anthony to shift a little bit. Noticing the young boy's nervousness, her features softened a little in pity for them.

"Don't worry, we have to deal with everyone with rare Pokemon. It's kind of a pain, really."

"Yeah, it's all fine, totally not getting interrogation vibes here." Anthony remarked bitterly, causing her to grimace. She then coughed into her hand and gained a serious look.

"Well, as I said earlier, I would like to ask you some questions, and don't even think about lying, because Chimecho here will catch it. And Chansey isn't exactly all sunshine and rainbows either. To bad trainers at least." She said with a threatening edge, causing Anthony to start sweating. He quickly collected himself and revised his plan, which he had made up a few minutes ago.

'Time for Operation Bullshit, spin as many truth-lies as you can. Get ready, brain cells!' He thought to himself, hoping John wouldn't fuck them over.

"Alright, first question. Where are you boys from and what are your names?" She questioned, taking a clipboard and a pen provided to her by her Chansey. The Chimecho's eyes glowed, as if daring them to lie. Anthony breathed out before he spoke with a heavy voice, causing all other sounds in the room to seem irrelevant.

"We were first in Alola, but my Pokemon, which is a Psychic one just like Chimecho here, teleported us smack-dab into the middle of Sinnoh. And my name is Anthony and his name is John." She narrowed her eyes at that and looked to her make-shift lie-detector, who chimed at her, causing her eyes to widen slightly in surprise. Anthony internally cheered at not being found out.

"By the name of Arceus… A Pokemon teleporting into another region? One that's the farthest, at that?" She muttered before remembering what she was doing and quickly refixing her gaze on the duo. She wrote on the clipboard and opened her mouth, asking the next question.

"Why don't you have your trainer licenses? I would think parents would at least help their kids to get even a youngster ID."

Anthony's answer was instant, he had after all, planned all his answers beforehand.

"Uh, you see, in Alola, we have Island Amulets and Z - Rings like this," He said, pointing to the bracelet on his left ring, which Nurse Joy looked at and nodded. "I don't know if they have trainer IDs, our parents never mentioned it. After all, Alola isn't really under the League. We didn't really have time to prepare because we got teleported." He really didn't know if they had IDs, and their parents of course never mentioned it, because in their world, parents don't send 10 year olds on journeys with animals that could rip you in half.

After another round of checking for lies, the Joy breathed and steadied herself, before asking the final question.

"Alright, Here's the final question." She told him, causing him to lean forward. "Where did you get that Pokemon from?"

Anthony blinked, before he opened his mouth and started speaking, albeit slowly, choosing his words.

"Basically, me and my friend," He said, pointing a finger towards John, who hadn't said a word but was listening closely, "Found ourselfs with the little guy, and he, uh, started following me. After a close encounter with a Bewear and getting chased, it teleported us while we were busy falling into a stupidly deep ravine thanks to my extremely smart friend here," Causing her breath to hitch and the Chimecho to falter."We found ourselves in the very amazing region of Sinnoh! And the best part is, I didn't even want to be here! I didn't have the slightest wish to even find myself here! Crazy, right?! I just want to go home…" He finished, raising his arms up in a sweeping motion as he mockingly described his situation, the last part a whisper. He breathed in hard as he looked down, finally being able to let his frustrations out.

The pink haired woman across them grimaced, the thought of being in an unfamiliar place thousands of Kilometers away from your home inciting a feeling of guilt for questioning what clearly were two struggling young boys. Infact, random teleportation happened quite a lot to beginner trainers who trained their Pokemon into teleportation for the first time. However, teleporting into another region was unheard of, except for Legendaries, which only furthered her interest. She held her tongue however, as it was clear the duo had been through enough.

'No wonder he tried to hit that other kid. He probably was frustrated and scared at the hand that was dealt to him.' She thought. Her Chimecho seemed to agree with her thoughts, clearly wanting to help them. She felt pride rise in her chest at that. She had diligently raised it to act mercilessly towards those who mistreat Pokemon and to help those in need. That was, after all, how all Joys were supposed to be.

The sounds of the two boys getting up and heading to door quickly stirred her from her thoughts and her mouth moved faster than her body.

"Please wait- I'm really sorry you had to go through all that. In order to make it up to you, I could perhaps help, even if just a little bit."

The boys paused and turned to look at her, an action that made her smile.

"Please wait for me at the counter." She said, overtaking them and walking through the door, leaving the duo behind her in silence.

"Well, uh, that happened, I guess." The green eyed boy said blankly, breaking the silence between them. The blue eyed one simply stated blankly in direction the nurse had went through before muttering.

"Yeah, Guess it did."

Anthony and John waited patiently in front of the counter of the Pokemon center, neither moving a finger or saying anything. Anthony looked to his friend who was still in the dumps, his eyes downcast. He sighed and moved to comfort him.

"John, get over with it. There's no point in dwelling on it, and you didn't know league rules anyway."

His friend's face snapped up too look at him, and he weakly tried to put up an argument.

" B-but I almost attacked a fucking kid! How does that make me any different from those assholes?!"

"Geez man, the kid probably forgave us, although I don't know if Starly did. So just move on. If it's worth anything, atleast you didn't tell at everyone like last time." Anthony replied, looking a bit annoyed. John simply looked more guilty, which caused him to grimace.

"I suck at giving advice, why is god putting me in this situation?!" He grumbled under his breath.

"John, bro, what's done is done. We can't go back in time-"

"Of course we can't! If we could, I would be able to see my parents again and we would still be playing Minecraft together! If we could, this shitty situation wouldn't have happened to begin with!" He half-yelled, catching some people and Pokemon's attention. He ignored them with a scowl.

Anthony grimaced again, his mind unhelpfully supplying the fact that he was the reason they were here. He thought of his words carefully and spoke.

"John, we can't do anything about this except accept what happened. Besides, you got your Eevee, how would it feel if you brooded all day? Besides, I don't think it's that bad. We can do a lot of stuff, together. And the only reason you lost was because you didn't know how to battle. Also, about the past incident, I've gotten over it and so have you. So stop being edgy and get your shit together!" He finished, taking deep breaths at the end of it. John looked at him surprised, and his face gained a small resemblance of a smile.

"I think… I needed that. Thanks, man."

"No problemo."

They looked at each other, and then counter when they heard faint giggling. There stood Nurse Joy who was giggling at the bromance between the two. The duo's faces reddened, and they looked away. Her giggling only increased and she muttered "Boys" under her breath before schooling her features and handing them two pokeballs on a tray. "This," She said, pointing to the one sitting on the left,"Is your Pokemon. I registered it in a Pokeball for you. We checked it, and it was completely healthy with no signs of mistreatment. Infact, it exhibits abnormal amounts of psychic energy, perhaps comparable to an Alakazam. Which might be how it managed to teleport you two this far. However, its constitution is weak, so I recommend you don't use it to battle.

"I didn't plan on doing that." Anthony interjected, causing her to nod and smile.

"That's good, most people abandon Pokemon that can't battle. I've seen it multiple times. The nerves of those trainers, really." She spoke, her voice gaining a heated edge before she calmed down and pointed to the other Pokeball. "This is your friend's Eevee. She also has no problems, but you should probably train her even a bit before going into battle with her." John's eyes steeled and he nodded, determined.

They turned to leave, pokeballs in hand, but were stopped by her the moment they moved their feet.

"Please wait- Take this." She said, placing what appeared to be money on the table. Anthony and John stared at it, their eyes wide and mouths agape, causing her to giggle once more, which caused them to regain face.

"This is three thousand and five hundred Pokedollars each. Before you start speaking about how you shouldn't accept this, I'll say this, this is actually money provided by the league, not by me. They have reserved a sum for people who get caught up in Pokemon accidents like you two."

Anthony spoke, his voice laced disbelief and gratitude.

"I- Thank you. We really needed some money…" He moved towards her and accepted both the stacks and gave one to John.

"Thank the league, not me. Now, shoo, I've got more customers. I'd recommend going to the trainer school in Jubilife city and taking one of their tests. It's the easiest way to get a trainer ID or you could try asking professor Rowan. Anyways, I hope you stay safe on your journey."

Anthony nodded, and moved to the exit, but not before muttering, "We will." He then walked out the doors which opened automatically and was followed by John. The doors shut and Nurse Joy's smile morphed into a serious expression. She quickly went to the phone on her counter and dialed a number which read, reserved for large incidents or incidents linked to two regions or regions not under the league's jurisdiction. Pressing the phone to her ear, she waited for the ringing to end, and when it did, she heard a voice from the phone.

"Hello, this is the Interpol, what may be your problem?"

CHAPTER END

OMAKE(CANON)

Lusamine sat in her chair, finishing paperwork and attending to regular phone calls. However, her mind was on other things. More specifically, the two fallers that she saw this. Her lips pursed into a frown and she placed the pen she was using on the desk.

'To think I would finally find a clue to reach my dreams, and a big one at that. Yet… it still slipped from me! If only those imbeciles from the Interpol hadn't interfered!" She thought frustratedly. She had given the order to search all regions for any ultra energy anomalies. While normally that was Interpol's job, she couldn't let the two boys go. After all, not only were they had Fallers, but they also had that Pokemon with them. The same one that they used to open Ultra Wormholes. Moreover, the energy detected from the one with the duo was far more than the one they had. She was stirred from her thoughts however, by the purple haired women that walked into the room, her face contorted into a sad smile. Lusamine stared at her.

"Ah, Wicke. What seems to be the problem?" She said calmly, waiting for her assistant to speak. Wicke was the only one who actually cared about her these days. After all, even her own child had grown distant from her. Gladion had already rebelled and left her, even after all he had done for her. Lillie was also showing signs of her rebelling, but she would not allow her to. After all, children were much better off listening to the adults around them.

Clearing her head, she once more fixed her gaze on Wicke. Who opened her mouth.

"President, it's… about Lillie. She got scared by another Pokemon who tried to touch her again. She is currently in her room."

Lusamine sighed. She couldn't understand why Lillie was so scared of them. After all, they were far more beautiful than any othe creatures in the world. However, that was what made her cute and beautiful. She was timid and beautiful, as her children should be. Perhaps, she should let her stay like that.

"Just let her be." She said, causing Wicke to frown for a second before she quickly regained her expression and moved to leave.

"Okay, thank you, President. I'll be taking my leave."

The moment she opened the door, Faba burst in with a smile on his face. He practically skipped towards her desk and slammed his hands on the table, causing the blonde haired woman to raise an eyebrow.

"President, we have wonderful news! We have finally located where those boys were teleported."

This caused her to gain a smile. After the loss of her husband, Faba assumed the role of head of the Ultra Wormhole division along with Professor Burnet. However, they both had plenty of disagreements in the way they do things. True, even if Faba's method's were questionable, he still got results, which was what mattered to her the most. Perhaps she should promote him. After all, the branch chief position was still vacant.

"I see excellent work, Faba. Now where might these two be?" She asked with a questioning glance. Faba smiled even wider in response.

"In the Sinnoh region. Amazing, I know right? That Pokemon has the ability to even teleport to entirely new regions! We must secure it no matter what! After all, it must be stronger than the one we have." He drawled listing off various possibilities. Lusamine was surprised for a second. If it truly was able to do that, and if Faba really thought that it was stronger than the one they had, that must mean it was special in some way. Her lips curved upwards, the thought of living with them had always been a dream, but now it seemed a little more closer.

"...Perhaps luck is indeed on our side."

OMAKE END
