The sixth year Gryffindors were having another game night at their dorm.

Today it was poker night, and they had managed to transfigure some old quills into chips to play with.

"I fold." Dean Thomas said. "What do you think about the game tomorrow?"

"I raise two." Seamus replied. "It is Ravenclaw against Slytherin is it? Malfoy against Chang for the snitch, right?"

"You are exactly right." Neville answered. "What do you think about it Harry? Who has better chances? I also fold by the way."

"I'm pretty sure Ravenclaw will win this one. Malfoy's incompetence is in an all-time high!"

"You are right about that one Harry." Ron added. "But Ravenclaw's chasers aren't much better. Remember how we trounced them a month ago?"

"How could I forget that? Your sister did most of the job after all!" Harry praised.

"But you are still confident about Ravenclaw's win…" Ron said.

"Of course, I am! Don't tell me you want Slytherin to win, Ron?"

"Never! But if you are so sure, you won't be afraid of betting on it, right?" Ron suggested.

"I will gladly do that! What are the odds?"

"If you win, I will give you my bottle of Ogden's!" Seamus added.

Harry was surprised by this. Seamus really treasured this bottle, and always kept it for a special occasion.

"And if I lose?" The green-eyed boy asked.

"If you lose, you will have to do a dare of our choosing!" The Irish boy replied.

Harry shivered for a second. The boys could come up with absolute nightmares when they wanted to. On the other side, he had quite a good chance of getting some excellent booze, and the odds were on his favour…

"You know what? I accept! If Ravenclaw wins you give me your bottle, and if Slytherin does, I will complete your dare. Deal?"

"Deal!" Seamus accepted. He knew betting his bottle would make him fall for the trap. He had figured out that the Slytherins were planning something for the match, and therefore Harry would have to complete the dare.

The following day…

Harry hated his luck. And he hated Malfoy. And he hated the Slytherin beaters, in that order.

Turns out that the Slytherin team had enacted a plan for this game. The beaters had completely forgotten about the Ravenclaw chasers and had centred their attention on Chang.

They had been harassing her constantly during the whole match, until they managed to hit her eventually. Luckily for the girl, she was just a few feet above the ground, and she would be able to make full recover in a day.

Unfortunately for the Ravenclaw team though, there was no one to stop Malfoy from taking the snitch.

Which was also quite unfortunate for Harry, since Slytherin won 210-100. He had lost the damned bet! And now the boys would come up with one of their suicidal dares!

He still remembered when Seamus dared Dean to run around the fourth floor naked. Snape hadn't been amused, and there had been a full month of detention for poor Dean.

Harry could only hope that they wouldn't do something too embarrassing. After all, they were dorm mates, right?

He took a glance at where Seamus and Dean were sitting. He was greeted by a pair of diabolical grins on the boy's faces.

Yep, he was totally screwed.

That same afternoon, at the boy's dorm…

The boys were sitting on a circle again. Today it was Exploding Snap night.

"You know, I believe we were forgetting something, am I right boys?" Dean asked.

"Oh, yeah. Our dear friend Harry did lose the bet, didn't he guys?" Seamus replied.

"How unlucky! Are we going to be merciful for him though? I don't think so…" Neville said cheekily.

"You know I hate you so much right now, do you?" Harry said.

"Maybe you do. But you will hate us more when we tell you what you are supposed to do." Ron said grinning.

"Okay. What is it? Do I have insert a dungbomb in my pants before tomorrow's classes or what? Come on, get on with it!" Harry asked.

"It is a good idea Harry, we will keep it for another time. But no! Your dare is to ask out the girl we have chosen for you!"

"Aaaargh! Please, please! Don't tell me I have to ask out Vane! She is crazy man, I tell you!" Harry pleaded.

"No, no! We are not that cruel. You only have to ask Daphne Greengrass!" Seamus announced.

Great. Amazing. He only had to ask the girl with the greatest rejection ratio in the school. And her rejections weren't precisely harmless either. Plenty of boys had ended up in the hospital wing…

"You want me to lose my gonads in the process, don't you?"

"Nah, don't be that way, Harry. Pomfrey already has a bed in reserve just for you!"

"But that is not all. You have to do things properly! We want a proper gentleman!"

"Exactly! We want to see knight Harry in action!"

The next morning…

Harry looked at the Slytherin table. Daphne Greengrass was sitting at one of the extremes, talking with another girl.

Daphne had long blonde hair, with captivating blue eyes. She was considered to be one of the prettiest girls of the school, which was the main reason she was asked out so often.

And now it was going to be Harry's turn…

Harry looked at the head table. Madame Pomfrey was having breakfast now, so hopefully he would have immediate medical attention.

Seeing that as the best chance he was going to get, Harry stood up, and moved towards the Slytherin table.

"Excuse me, may I talk with you for a second?"

Daphne then turned to meet him, and Harry said:

"Miss Greengrass. Would you do me the honour of accompanying me to Hogsmeade tomorrow?"

Greengrass stared at him for what felt like ages. Harry was about to embrace himself for the string of courses, when she replied:

"Okay. I will go with you tomorrow, Mr. Potter. I will wait for you at the gate at ten o'clock. You better be punctual!"

"Oh… Thanks. I will see you tomorrow." Harry mumbled.

He couldn't believe what had happened. She said yes! What was he supposed to do now?

He sat at the Gryffindor table again, to find the boys staring back at him.

"Hey Harry. You alright? Need help getting to Madame Pomfrey?" Seamus grinned.

"No… No. I am okay." Harry said.

"What happened? What did she do?" Ron asked.

"Yes." Harry answered quietly.

"Yes what?" Seamus questioned.

"She said yes. I have a date tomorrow."
