Thank you to everyone still here for this fic. Thank you especially if you've reviewed, I love hearing what you think.
Bella stood and stretched, her ass hurt, her back hurt and her hands were stiff. Despite this she felt alive again. The wind whipping across her face, the roar of the bikes, the freedom of the open road. It all served to rejuvenate her from the last few days. Any cobwebs she had were now gone. It felt amazing.
"All good Spitfire?" Happy asked as he climbed off the bike he had parked up next to hers at the gas station.
When it came to him, right now, her head was in a bit of a mess.
She loved him beyond reason, beyond sanity even. She could accept all the sides of him, she knew that. But the fact he'd just cut off contact with her because he was scared had hurt her. Deeply. He'd explained himself, he'd apologised, he had damn good reasons. But she was still a bit hurt. Plus she was sure there was more going on that she didn't know about yet. Whether he wasn't telling her because of this ride out to Forks, or because he didn't want to she didn't know. And what's more, two weeks ago she would have said with certainty that it was so he didn't put more pressure on her. Now she wasn't so sure.
That morning before they rolled out, Happy had spent an hour or so talking to Clay and her dad, then Jax had been called in. It could have been club business, which she wasn't allowed to know yet, but she didn't think so for some reason. She hoped he told her after this.
"Mmm… yeah, just a little sore."
Happy smirked a little and started rubbing her shoulders. She bit back a moan, it felt amazing. She wondered if he could do that while they made love. Probably not. He was a bit rougher than that and she thought she might get bored if it wasn't rough and hard like they usually went.
"Oi! You two! Cut it out. Gas up and get whatever shit you need. We need to be back on the road in five!" Bobby yelled out, ending the moment they were having.
Bella sighed as Happy stepped away after placing a kiss on her hair and sauntered into the gas station.
"You good?" Her dad was by her now, they hadn't spoken yet. They'd been too busy and he hadn't been able to look at her, she guessed it was because of the purpling bruise on her face. She didn't blame him, she was the one who got in the middle of a full on fight between the two men she loved and the one who hadn't been quick enough to dodge. She'd had worse at kickboxing practice anyway.
"Yeah, bit sore, not used to these long rides. But I'm okay," Bella answered honestly, she was okay for gas but was gonna need to pick up something to drink. They'd been on the road for three hours now. They had about eleven to go. Maybe a bit less.
"Bells about last night-"
She cut him off. She didn't want or need to hear it. "Forgotten, seriously dad, it's fine. C'mon, I need coffee."
Bella took the lead as her dad followed her into the gas station. Tig, Chibs, Bobby, Happy, Half-Sac and Jax were already in and the man behind the counter looked nervous. She couldn't blame him, a couple of years previous and she would have been nervous. Now she just felt a sense of belonging and peace with these rough men.
"Yo Princess! Make me a coffee!"
She also felt demeaned and like a slave at times, but in less than a year that would pass.
"Juicy boy! Finally joinin' us, ya can make me a coffee too. Ya know how I like it!"
"Fuck you Chibs! Get your own damn coffee or have a prospect make it!"
Or at least she hoped it would pass, Juice was still treated like that a lot of the time. She felt bad for him.
"You better make it black for me Bells, Lyla had me up all night," Juice sent her a wink with a boyish smile. And then sometimes she didn't feel bad for him at all.
She sighed and rolled her eyes but made the coffee's. One for Tig, one for Juice, one for Chibs, one for Happy who hadn't asked but would want one, for her dad and then lastly a sorely needed coffee for herself.
That tradition went on for the next four stops. Each time she had less patience for it. Half-Sac got away with filling the bikes with gas, she was the coffee bitch. It was frustrating. And she was sore. And worried. And getting pissed off. Which is why when they were at the last stop before Tacoma she reacted instead of thinking.
She was carrying more damn coffees out of the truck stop they had rode to. She felt eyes on her but ignored it. She was wearing her patch and the guys were all around somewhere. Anyone would have to be a complete moron to mess with her.
The guy she had just passed was apparently a complete moron.
A hard slap on her ass had her stumble and drop her trayful of coffees. Instantly she spun and pegged him in the nose. Hard.
He was a big guy, broad, tall and bleeding from the nose. She didn't care. She was pissed.
"The fuck bitch?!" He cried with one hand going to his nose.
"I just got those coffees! And you, dumbass, are going to replace them!"
"I don't think so bitch! You just fucking hit me! What the fuck?!" The man was very obviously a moron.
"Not to sound like I'm back at grade school but you hit me first! Now you need to say sorry and replace my damn coffees!" Bella yelled angrily, her hands balled into fists.
"Sorry?" The man spat at her feet. "Fuck that shit, you need to be apologising. On your needs like a good little biker slut."
"There a problem here?" Clay's voice rang out behind her and she could feel bodies joining the little spat from behind her. She didn't need to turn to see that it would be her family, literally having her back.
"Depends on if this asshole is gonna replace our coffees or not," Bella replied coolly.
"This slut just cold clocked me!" The man whined, actually whined. He was too big to be whining. She raised her eyebrows at him, she didn't imagine she would be the only one.
"Now that doesn't sound like our Bells. Bella, darlin' ya hit him?" Jax asked, his voice a pleasant purr. She was sure it would have an effect on the ladies when he wanted it to. It did nothing for her though.
"Yup," she answered honestly.
"Now why, would you have cause to be assaulting upstanding citizens Bells?" Clay asked, his voice just as smooth as his step sons.
Bella tilted one of her hips up, but left her hands clenched into fists at her sides. "Because the moron slapped me on the ass, making me drop all of our coffees."
She felt someone stiffen right behind her. She knew without looking it was Happy, she could just feel that it was him. And apparently he wasn't amused by what had transpired.
"That true, friend?" Jax asked still with a purr to his honeyed voice.
"Man, c'mon, look at that ass-"
"I'd rather not," Jax said, his voice colder now. "Now this is going to go one of two ways. You either apologise to Bella here, a member of our family and replace the coffees. Or we let her, her daddy and her Old Man loose. And you should know. You fuck with one of us. You fuck with all of us. Now which is it gonna be?"
"Ma'am I'm very sorry," the moron said in a low voice. Maybe he wasn't such a moron after all.
Twenty minutes later and a new order of coffees which Bella hadn't had to make and they were back on the road.
Bella was back to smiling. She was still worried, scared even, she was still dreading returning to Forks. But her family had her back. Together they'd make it through this ride and reunion with the supernatural shit that had surrounded her for over two years.

Bella could hear the thumping of bass, the cheers from men and the giggling of women. Three guys along with crow eaters had come outside and disappeared behind the small clubhouse as she had been cleaning the bikes. She hadn't had so much as a beer yet. They'd arrived in Tomacoa and she had instantly been made to clean up the mud splattered, road worn bikes. All fourteen bikes. She had been at it for two hours. Her fingers cramped and she was fed up with listening to other people have sex. Still this was her job. She knew that. And in a year's time it would be someone else's. She was gonna work her ass off to make sure of that.
She had two more bikes to do. Happy's and her dad's. She had saved those for last as she knew those two at the moment would give her the least shit if they weren't perfect.
Right now though she was taking a smoke break. She lit up and took a deep drag while looking up at the stars. It was cold, unsurprisingly as she was back in Washington, but the sky was clear of clouds for now and she was able to make out some constellations. She wondered if Charlie was up there somewhere. If there was an up there she thought he would be.
She wondered what he would think of her now. If she was being honest with herself then he was probably horrified. She was in a biker gang who did illegal activity. She smoked, she drank, she did drugs. Well weed, but it was still a drug. She had kicked the crap out of a drug dealer and she had killed.
Bella also thought that maybe, part of him would be a little proud. Sure she did stuff he really would hate. But she had also managed to find herself. Not by finding someone else either. She had taken time after his death to find herself once more. She had always been independent before she became reliant on Edward. Her life had been boring, routine and she had snapped up a chance of being looked after the first time it had presented itself. The first bit of adventure that had come her way and she had thrown herself into it head first. Just like Renee.
Now though, she was more cautious where it counted and less where it didn't. She loved Happy, sure. But he wasn't everything there was to her. She wasn't in the club because of him. She hadn't changed her mindset or become more confident because of him or to please him. No. They were equals. She had done things for herself. The club had helped her confidence, had helped her see her worth. Had helped her see that her worth was measured by how she and her family saw herself. No one else.
Despite her actions, she thought Charlie would like who she had become as a person now.
The sound of a cell phone camera going off had her snapping out of her thoughts and turning towards the clubhouse.
She was surprised to see Happy standing watching her, his face blank but his eyes reverent. She had thought he would be inside enjoying the party.
"What was the picture for?" Bella asked. He didn't usually take pictures, except for some nudes he'd snapped of her, despite her protests.
He just shrugged in response.
"Eloquent," she sighed with a smile.
"Smart ass."
She grinned, threw the butt of her smoke and went to get started on his bike.
"You good?" He asked her, he leant against her bike as she poured lukewarm water over his to loosen up the mud. It was caked everywhere. She swore that half of the guys drove through mud on purpose knowing she was gonna be cleaning it up.
"Yeah. Looking forward to a drink and sleep though," she replied honestly. Being back so close to Forks was… emotionally draining, but she was okay. And she would be okay.
"I put ya shit in my room."
"Do you have a room at every clubhouse?" Bella asked with interest as she started wiping down the bike with a clean rag.
"Nah. Have one here 'cause I started off here. Most places have a room or two set aside for nomads or visitors. Ya get the same one. Easier when ya on the road all the time to leave shit in the places ya can trust. Trusted here, Lee's decent. Trusted Charmin', Clay an' Gemma would fuck anyone up stealin' shit. Trusted Phoenix, but that's about it."
"Do you miss it? Being a Nomad?" Bella asked while biting her lip.
"Nah, got a woman who keeps me busy enough not to miss it."
Bella smiled up at him, he was smirking and sipping from a beer. "That so?"
"Yeah it is and I been missin' her. Hurry that shit up then I can show ya my room."
Bella grinned even wider. Things weren't perfect between them, but she had missed him and his body. Missed the way he played her so skillfully.
Happy stayed out with her as she quickly cleaned his bike then her dad's. They talked a bit though Happy clammed up slightly if anyone else ventured outside. She didn't mind, she liked the fact that he was only so talkative and open with her. Though the conversation didn't touch on anything from the last week or so.
Once she finished he stalked towards her, taking one of her freezing hands in his and tugged her towards the clubhouse. Inside the music was loud and heavy. It was echoing through her stomach along with the excited feeling Happy gave her, knowing that soon he'd be inside her.
A couple of sweetbutts tried getting Happy's attention as they made their way through the clubhouse but he ignored them. None of them were brave enough to do more than try to touch his arm. Bella held tighter to his hand, she couldn't believe that he would pick her over any of these more experienced, prettier women. But she was thankful that he did, over and over he picked her.
He led her to a room even smaller than the one he had in Charming. It was fairly clean, but there was only enough room for the bed and drawers. That was it. Wasn't like they would be needing anything else though.
As soon as the door shut Happy took her in his defined arms and brushed his lips against hers. One hand wrapping around her waist and pulling her flush with his strong body, the other tangling in her hair and pulling so that her head was tilted just right for him to deepen the kiss.
He broke off when they needed to breathe and kissed down her neck making her moan. His teeth scraped her clavicle and she grabbed the hem of his shirt wanting to see him and feel him against her. Her heart was pounding already, her legs shaking in anticipation as his hands ghosted slowly down her body in a touch so light it caused goosebumps to break out in their path.
Large calloused fingers stroked the skin at the top of her jeans and she tingled deliciously.
His shirt was off and she dropped to her knees to attack his belt and pants. She was desperate for him. Panting and wanting.
"Fucking hell Spitfire," he groaned as she divested him of his clothes and wrapped her small hand around him. So thick and large, hot and throbbing. "Get your clothes off and get on that bed. I got some apologisin' to do."
She quickly followed his commands.
He apologised thoroughly. Kissing every part of her till she was quivering. Worshiping her body slowly.
When she screamed his name his mouth came away from between her legs and was quickly on hers catching her moans as he entered her with no warning.
He started off slowly. Deep, slow, sensual thrusts that had her eyes rolling back in her head as her aftershocks just kept hitting her. His hands gliding down her body and back up again. His lips caressing hers suppressing her words and moans along with his grunts.
"Fuck. Who does this body belong to?" Happy rasped against her breast as he started picking up the pace.
Her fingers wracked down his back, her nails catching skin. "You! You, Happy!"
"That's right. Mine. My tits," he bit down just above her nipple, making her gasp and her back arch. "My ass," his hands grabbed her butt and pulled her harder onto him, she started keening at his words and the feel of what he was doing to her. "My pussy!" He fucked her harder.
"Oh god yes! Yes! Yours!" She felt herself reach her precipice as she wrapped her legs around him and hung on as her pleasure exploded.
As she came down he pulled himself out of her and flipped her so she was laying on her front. Her knees wouldn't support her and she was still moaning as he lifted her hips and pushed inside. His thrusts were now furious, his pelvis slapping against her ass, his grunts were louder, his fingers tight on her.
"Fuck. Yeah. Fuck. Bella, fuck!" He roared as he came, holding her tight against himself. His release triggered another for her and she whimpered her way tiredly though it.
He flung himself to the side collapsing on the bed next to her as he panted. Slowly she turned on her side to face him. She ached so good.
"Fucking missed your tight pussy," he rasped as he pulled her to his chest so she could lie her head on him.
"Mmmhhhmmmm," Bella grinned slowly, completely sated.
He smirked and bent to kiss her languidly. All the urgency was gone but she basked in the afterglow as his hands softly stroked her shoulder, her stomach and thighs. She couldn't stop herself from pressing soft kisses to his chest, her fingers dancing across the lines of his tattoos.
"We gonna be good, yeah?"
"Yeah Baby. We're going to be fine."

Happy was content on his bike, his stomach swirling with that feeling that his woman gave him as he rode behind her. He fucking loved his brothers. They were breaking all the rules. But like Clay said this was unprecedented shit and they made the fucking rules, so who the hell cared. A couple of the guys had moaned, Piney being the loudest and Hopper not far behind. But everyone had fallen in line.
Riding into Forks, fifteen strong, Bella led the pack instead of Clay. Despite the fact they'd said fuck the rules the top rockers had been folded up and stored in saddle bags, they weren't gonna follow a female prospect in their kuttes.
Happy, Quinn and Jax were directly behind Bella and Happy kept grinning to himself as he watched his Spitfire. She looked hot as hell. She was wearing the leather pants and leather jacket he had packed for her back in Charming. She was armed to the teeth with everything she had brought with her and had urged the others to do the same. Quinn had an RPG as did Kozik. Happy had his usual arsenal. An RPG hadn't worked so he didn't hold out any hope for his 1911 but he couldn't go with nothing. The only time he'd been unarmed before was when sitting in lockup. Hell even in Chino he'd at least had shanks on him. His hands were deadly weapons, but he preferred to cover all bases.
He wasn't surprised to find it was raining. It was always fucking raining in Washington, but the roads while slick, made good riding. No pot holes or debris. So Bella was opening up her bike and the others kept up.
Bella had given everyone a quick talk on vampires and werewolves before they'd left Tomacoa but still most of their brothers laughed her off. They'd be pissing themselves instead of laughing when she'd shown 'em the truth. Happy was perversely looking forward to the reactions. Especially Piney and Tigs, they'd been the two most adamant she needed putting in the loony bin. They'd also implied he was so pussy whipped he was buying into her delusion. He'd quipped back that at least he had pussy unlike Tig who preferred Ladyboys. He grinned again. He fucking loved the club.
Bella slowed slightly as she made a turn that even Happy would have passed. It was well hidden for sure.
They travelled down a long driveway up to a huge, white house, windows all along one side of it. Happy didn't like it at all, too much exposure, could be seen too easily.
As the group pulled up in front of the house nine people exited the building. He recognised Bella's ex straight away. He wore a disgusted sneer on his skinny, preppy, pretty boy face. He couldn't figure out what the hell his Spitfire had been doing with this pussy.
Out of his peripheral vision he saw the guys behind him exchanging surprised and uncomfortable glances. To them they'd just rode up to a posh house with a pretty little family. They'd fucked up. Bella, Koz, Quinn and he knew the truth though.
"Bella! It's a pleasure to see you again. And you've brought… friends!" A guy said, the guy at the front who must be daddy vampire. Carl or somethin'.
"Good to see you Carlisle, Esme," Bella nodded at them, her usual happy smile gone. She was all business and he could admit it was a turn on for him. "This is my family I've brought."
"I see…" Carlisle said slowly.
"We've come across a bit of an issue for some of our business partners. Seems the Volturi are branching out from Italy."
Her pussy ex hissed at this but his face was triumphant. He thought he had some sort of bargaining chip or something. He didn't know Spitfire as well as he thought he did then.
"So you've come back for protection? You should have just stayed here like I told you to Isabella. You're too much of a Danger Magnet. I knew you'd be back."
Happy stood up straight from his bike at that, anger ice burning through his veins at the way this dick thought he could talk to her. He registered that he wasn't the only one but didn't pay his brothers any mind. His hands clenched along with his jaw.
Surprisingly he saw two guys on the porch, two vampires, stiffen too at the asshole's words. One he thought might have been the guy that had dragged the ex out after he'd been hit by the RPG.
"No. I'm not back for protection. I'm back for proof," Bella said, her hip jutting out letting the club at least know how pissed she was.
"Proof? You told them! You've killed us all! You stupid bitch! I said we should have killed her from the very beginning!" A blonde, who Happy would admit was probably the most gorgeous woman he had ever laid eyes on, protested.
It was a shame the bitch had just threatened his Spitfire. Instead of lookin' at her appreciatively, he just wanted to know how he could fucking destroy her.
"Actually, Edward is the reason most of them even half believed me. He showed his abilities to have bullets bounce off of him and his speed to three of these guys," Bella said nonchalantly. "I just wanted to show the others what we're up against. That's it. Then me and my family can go home and discuss what to do next."
"Are you insane! You exposed us to more humans!" The blonde bitch yelled at the ex. Happy smirked, dissention in the ranks.
"I was trying to protect her!" The ex whined.
"From what? You told us one of 'ems her dad. Her biological dad anyway," another vampire said, a big guy, even bigger than Quinn, with dark hair.
"The other two… they were sleeping in her bed while she slept downstairs. And their thoughts… if you'd have heard them-"
"Anyway," Bella impatiently tapped her foot. She was doing a fucking good job of acting like she didn't care, but Happy could see she was getting more pissed with these people. Vampires. Whatever.
"You can't go back with these degenerates Bella. I won't allow it!" The ex spun to face her again, his eyes which were freaky as shit gold changing to a black that reminded Happy of the eyes he saw in the mirror.
"Hey now, degenerates? What did we do to you?" Juice piped up, but his voice held a smirk to it.
"I can hear your thoughts! I know what you are!"
"Uh huh," Tig said. "Fascinating. Like is this a LSD in the Kool Aid thing, or group delusions?"
Happy struggled to hold in a snigger. He'd thought the same when he came across this shit. Sometimes he still wondered if maybe the water had been doped and he'd had one hell of a trip.
"You. Stop thinking of Bella's derriere like that!" The ex snapped.
"Yeah, you stop thinking about her tits and I'll stop imagining bouncing a quarter off that tight ass. Actually. No I won't. Sorry buddy if I'm not doing it for her daddy or the Killa there, I ain't doing it for some freaky tweaker who thinks he can read minds. Nice guess and all but seventy percent of giys stabding behind that juicy peach are gonna be thinking the same."
"Tiggy-"
"Sorry Princess, nothing I can do about it. I mean it's right there."
Happy shot Tig the finger, turning his head briefly. Tig just grinned unrepentant. Fucker.
Even if half of his brothers watched Bella's ass, he was the only one who got to see it without those pants on. He was the only one who got to grab it while she was bouncing on his dick. Or grip it as he pounded into her tight pussy.
A savage roar was heard before Happy felt cold, steel like bands around his neck hoisting him into the air. Automatically one hand tried to stop the assault as the other went for his Kbar.
"Put him down now!" Bella yelled furiously.
All around them he heard the clicking of gun safeties being removed and rounds being chambered.
"What the motherfucking shit was that? I ain't been drinking any Kool Aid. Please tell me one of you assholes slipped me something?"
Happy was disappointed he didn't get to see any of the faces of his brothers. Especially Tig and Piney. Still the incredulity in Tigs voice helped the dissatisfaction some. His mind was routinely calm as he tried to get purchase with his feet on the inhumanly strong teenager in front of him.
"Son! Put him down!"
"He… he defiled Bella!" The teenager said with wild black eyes. Mind reader. Shit he saw more of Bella than Happy would have liked then. Too late now. So he showed Bella and him fucking on top of his bike. In the woods. Against his door at the clubhouse. Any place where she had been mostly clothed.
"Edward! Put him down!" One of the females shrieked.
The boy was shaking with anger and his eyes were dark pools of nothing. Still this guy was a pussy. The proof was that Happy's Spitfire had never even had an O until they got together.
Happy clawed ineffectually at the arm holding him with his knife. All it was doing was blunting it but he wasn't going down without at least trying. Plus his brothers could all see that weapons didn't do shit against these things.
"I swear to God Edward if you don't put Happy down right now I will spend every single moment of the rest of my life finding a way to end you," Bella's voice was colder than ice. He could hear the sincerity ringing true in every syllable.
"Happy? Really?" One of the vampire's said with a chuckle.
The dick let him go and Happy landed standing up. He didn't flinch, didn't go to massage his neck. Didn't give anything away. His emotions were contained as were his reactions. A rigid calmness swept through him.
"How are you doing that?" Edward snarled at Bella.
She ignored him and rushed to Happy's side. He lifted one arm and settled it around her shoulder, letting her fuss over him but not taking his eyes off the asshole in front of them. He was ready to push her towards her dad and Koz if the fucker tried anything. He wouldn't let anything happen to her if he could help it.
"Isabella! How are you doing that!" The boy demanded, three of the guys on the porch shifted slightly. They were ready to step in if needed. If that happened Happy was pretty sure they were screwed. Coming here had been a fucking bad idea. Still he couldn't have abandoned his club or his Girly.
"What is she doing son?"
"She's… whatever she does to block her own thoughts she's doing with him now," spat the boy.
"Huh. Am I?" Bella shrugged as though she couldn't care less but he knew better. She was glad, proud even. He squeezed her shoulder lightly so she knew he was proud of her. Even if she was doing some mystical bullahit. She was doing it to protect him. That feeling was back with a vengeance. Stronger than it had ever been and the urge to make her his was there more furious than before as well. To see his mark on her.
"That's impossible!" The boy child yelled to one of the men on the porch.
The guy in return shrugged with a small smirk. Happy was sure it was the one who had picked up the smoldering Edward from the floor of Bella's House when they'd last been in this shitty town.
"Just an idea. If ya don't like it, stay outta my head," the man drawled.
"As fascinating as this is. Princess ya think you can introduce us? Let's see if we can't have some sort of open dialogue here," Clay demanded in his best oily voice with a note of steel behind his words. The Prez was going to take charge of this shit show now.
