TotM: Chapter 13

The group arrived back in Peach Creek about a day later. Everyone's parents (and Katrina's orphanage) were ecstatic that their children were safe and sound from what happened. Meanwhile, Adam and Olivia had to schedule a meeting for tomorrow with the teens' school, to explain to them in detail why the teens skipped a few days without notice.

Finally, the Eds and the girls were back in their homes; all six teens were grounded for the rest of the day and into the night, forced to not leave their homes until school tomorrow. Luckily, they let them keep their cellphones; they were not that mean. They were all currently talking in their small group chat.

Ebony: So, that whol thing was prety wild rite?!

Ed: LOL Sure was!

Double D: … I like how you two are so casual about it all.

Shayla: Indeed, sometimes I wish I could act like that after a near death situation. Note the sarcasm.

Eddy: … Anyway, it's over now. Let's try not to bring it up.

Ed: O, sorry Eddy!

Ebony: Ye, my bad.

Eddy sighed a little in annoyance, 'As airheaded as ever,' he thought.

Katrina: So, I'm guessing we all gotta go to school tomorrow? We skipped too many days at this point.

Double D: Yes, we do.

Ed: … Noooooo!

Ebony: But we jus got bacc today! Fels lik we desrve a brek, evn jus for 1 day!

Shayla: For once, I agree with that. But there's not much changing the school's mind on this.

Besides, Adam and Olivia are gonna stick around for that meeting with the school tomorrow.

I'm sure they'll help us out in explaining what happened.

Double D: You're right.

Katrina: On that note, I think I'm gonna go to bed early.

Ebony: Goo ide! I'm also tire.

Ed: Same!

Double D: Goodnight, everyone!

Eddy: Yah, night.

Eddy sat his cellphone on the side dresser near his bed, eventually dozing off into sleep.

Meanwhile, around the Lane near the Cul-De-Sac, we could see the silhouette of a ten-year-old girl walking down the barely lit area. She was looking around, trying to find a good place to sleep. Both her clothes and her appearance looked to be dirty, like she had been walking for days without much rest; her pale, light blue hair looked to be very messy.

'I must find a place to rest… So tired,' she thought, rubbing her eyes in tiredness. Suddenly, she could see a park nearby, with a slide, swings and some benches to sit down on, 'Maybe I can sleep there.'

The strange girl soon lay down on the nearest bench, not caring how cold it was to her; it was a place to finally rest.

'I have to find them,' she thought to herself as she closed her eyes to go to sleep, 'Mom, dad, my brother... Where are you?'

Elsewhere, in the vastness of space, we could see the weird spaceship from before zooming through the stars; they were close to their destination.

"It feels like it's been a few days since those three lights came up," Riku started to say, turning to the pilot, King Mickey, "Are you sure it was a sign for something?"

"I'm pretty sure," King Mickey replied to Riku, "Seems like the world it came from was farther away than we expected. But we will be there shortly."

"I see," Riku stated with a small yawn, glancing back at the teen girl next to him, who was sleeping in her chair, "Sure hope it gives up some sort of lead."

Meanwhile, back in the ruined kingdom, we could see something burst out from the castle, a mass amount of dark energy. A good distance away from the castle, we could see two people watching the dark energy sprout forth into the sky. They were an evil-looking woman with horns, gray skin and a staff in her right hand, and an anthropomorphic cat who was a bit on the chubby side.

"So, uh, do youse think it was a good idea to let that king become a Heartless?" asked the cat with the evil woman.

"Why, of course it was a good idea," the woman stated calmly, "I have a feeling this will lead us closer to the black box we've been searching for."

The cat scratched his chin, thinking about it for a second, "Well, if youse say so!"

The mass of dark energy then roared loudly as it flew off towards the exit of the cave, ready to sink its claws and teeth into its prey. It knew what it had in mind, the feeling of revenge was strong within.

The End…?

Author's Note: Aaand that's it for this story! The sequel will be a different story, so if you want to read it, you'll have to follow me to when it get's posted! Like I said before, the sequel is a crossover with Kingdom Hearts and takes place after the few cutscenes in Melody of Memory. I'll also try to base the sequel around what might happen in KH4; but of course, everything I write will have no relevance to the actual KH4 being made... It's just whatever I feel might happen next. Also, there will be a third crossover involved in the sequel... You can try and guess what it is, if you wanted to. It's for a series I always wanted to write about, but never had a good excuse to do so; except now.

Anyway, thank you for reading this small story! It means the world to me! - Yuki Mizuno
