Fae Dormitory, Draoidh University, London, England

Luna Lovegood sat on Parker's bed. Rolf was leaning against the side of the bed. Parker was trying to push a large white board into the room. Park had called them here, but had given them no reason why. Luna hugged her knees to her chest. She still had not told anyone what she had done, not even Ginny and Hermione. She wasn't sure if she felt bad about telling the aurors per say, but she did want to crawl under a rock every time she thought about how Juniper was feeling. As far as she knew, Astoria had not spoken a word to Juniper since the break up. It was good for her, but not good or anyone else.

"Do you need any help?" Rolf asked

"No," They replied. Parker took out a white board marker and wrote on the top of the board

"Juniper's break up game plan?" Rolf asked

"Yes. According to my sources, Juniper has hardly left her room since the break up. It's been days. We need to get her out of there"

"Who is this source exactly?" Rolf asked

"Clara Chang. I cornered her in the hallway and interrogated her." Rolf raised an eyebrow. Parker did not seem to notice.

"Maybe we should leave Juniper be?" Luna suggested

"She needs help getting back on her feet. As her friends, we need to help her" Parker said

"This feels like a bad idea" Luna said

"So step one in my four step plan is a new look, new you. I've already scheduled a hair appointment, nail appointment and shopping spree. We will all be there for moral support. Step two is music magic. I've got a list of Juniper's favorite bands. Two have performances in town next week. We need tickets. Step three is to party till the sun comes up. I know none of us like partying, but Juniper does. Juniper might meet someone there so it's the most important step. Any questions?"

"A few" Rolf said

"None, perfect" Parker said

Park led Luna and Rolf up to Juniper's dorm room. The door had a sign that plainly read Go away.

"Maybe we should listen to the sign," Rolf suggested. Parker rolled their eyes.

"Or maybe, we should try and help Juniper get over Astoria" Parker said

"Parker, Juniper might need time to grieve her relationship," Rolf said

"Look, Astoria was a toxic scum bag and Juniper has already wasted enough time on her." Parker knocked on Juniper's door. Juniper answered.

"Didn't you read the sigh?" Juniper said

"Yeah and I ignored it," Parker said . Juniper stepped out of her dorm room. Her braids were pulled back into a bun. Her usually put together outfit was replaced with a yellow sweatshirt and sweatpants. Her eyes were rimmed with red and her face was stained with tears.

"Go away" Juniper went to slam the door. Parker stopped her.

"Get dressed, we are going out." Parker said

"No way"

"You've been stuck in here for way too long. You need to get out." Parker said

"No I don't" Juniper said

"I told you so" Rolf said

"You told them what?" Juniper growled

"That you might need some time to grieve your relationship.''Rolf Said Calmly. Juniper's face darkened

"Grieve for that bitch? No way" Juniper said

"Exactly! You need to get out of here and have some fun. Get over her"

"I am over her!" Juniper said

"Then prove it" Parker said

"Fine, I will. What do you have planned?"

"First up, Make over" Parker said. "You need a new look, think of it as a post-break up you. I already scheduled you for a hair and nail appointment which we are running a little late for, followed by a shopping spree."

"What are we waiting for?" Juniper said

Luna found herself sitting in the salon. Juniper was skimming through hair and make-up books. Each page seemed to have a different type of braid or loc. It was hard to guess which one Juniper would like. There were some with flowers, Juniper would probably like something like that. But she wanted to try something different.

"See anything good?" Juniper asked. Luna shook her head

"What are you looking for Juniper?" Luna asked

"Something totally different, but still me. Yah know? Oh what about something like that?" Juniper pointed to a photo of a woman with a lavender to magenta ponytail. "Do you think something like that would look good on me?" Juniper asked

"I think it would, but-" Luna said

"Hey Parker, what do you think of this one?" Juniper asked

"I think it's different, are you sure you like it though? It's not really you." Rolf shrugged

"Exactly, it's different. Wasn't that your goal?" Parker said

"Yeah it was," Juniper said. She gave the picture to her stylist.

"Are you sure you want to do something so drastic, Juniper? You don't even know if you are going to like it" Rolf said.

"Yes I'm sure," Juniper said with an eye roll.

"This is a bad idea" Rolf said

"You know, if you want, we have a magenta and lavender wing in the back, I can get it and you can see if you like it. You could buy it and if you really like it, we can do it." The stylist said.

"Fine, she can try that," Rolf said. Juniper glared at Rolf Luna and Rolf locked eyes nervously. They had gone on Juniper's shopping spree next. Luna and Rolf's worries seemed to worsen considerably as they made their way through the shops. Juniper looked like she was having fun, but Luna knew she was not. Her usual floral prints were traded in for darker tones and more ripped jeans. Maybe it was that her hair was now straight, but Luna found it all incredibly odd. She knew that Rolf shared her worries but both Juniper and Parker seemed totally oblivious.

Luna chose to hold her tongue. She did not bring up her worries to Juniper, not when they were shopping, not at dinner and not when they got back to Juniper's dorm. Luna sat cross legged on Junier's bed. She watched her hold up different tops in the mirror. She was trying to decide between them. To Luna, they all looked the same. They were all dark, sleeveless and mostly black. They lacked Juniper's usual bright colors. None of her neons were present.

"Luna, which one do you prefer?" She asked. She was holding up two of the tops

"They are both nice," Luna said

"Not helpful" Juniper said

"Why not wear your old neon yellow one?" Luna suggested

"Nah, I wore that to a party a couple of months ago" Juniper said

"It looked really good on you"

"No, I shouldn't wear it. I think I'll wear this one" she said, holding up the second top. "What do you think?"

"It's darker than what you usually wear" Luna said

"I know, it's different and new. It's perfect" Juniper said, throwing it on "Are you ready to go? We don't want to be late"

"Are you sure you want to go? We've already have had a long day" Luna said

"I'm sure," Juniper said with a smile. Luna was still not convinced. Next thing they knew, they were at the party. The music was loud, louder than Luna liked. It was not the fun's 1920s music of the last party she had gone to. This music caused the ground to vibrate from the volume and the drums. Juniper, however, did not seem bothered. Luna wondered how she was not. Juniper seemed to walk through the crowd with her head held high. Luna was glad that she was at least confident. Luna bit her lip as they made their way through the crowd. She tried to stay as close to Juniper as possible. The crowd in the room seemed to close in around her. She tried to reach out for Juniper's hand but could not see it. Before she knew what had happened, she was lost in the crowd. She tried to scan the room for Juniper, but she still could not see her. She felt someone slam into her

"Sorry," she said.

"Watch it" someone said to her. She jumped slightly out of the way as someone was about to spill their drink on her. The girl saw her standing there, a foot away from the puddle

"What's your problem?" The girl slurred

"I don't have a problem," Luna said. There was not a hint of sarcasm in her voice.

"Hey, why are you pushing my girl." The boy she was dancing with said

"I don't think I did," she said, unsure if her voice could be heard over the music. The boy turned to face her. He looked her up and down and whistled. She crossed her arms over her chest. She decided she did not like that boy. He was giving her a look that would have provoked a bat bogey hex from Ginny during their Hogwarts years.

"Hey hot stuff, you here alone tonight?" He slurred at her

"Unbelievable" the girl said, shoving her drink at him before storming off.

"No, I'm here with my friends" she said

"You ok with missing 'em, chicky" he said, to jeers from the boys circling them.

"I would rather not, I like them" Luna said

"Come on, don't be a prude. You're hot stuff, one of a kind " He said. Luna blinked at him, a frown spreading across her features.

"You came here with another girl and are now trying to leave with me. That doesn't make me feel like one of a kind. That makes me feel replaceable" Luna observed. The boy crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes on her. Luna did not budge, but continued to observe him with her large silver eyes.

I'm complimenting you bitch." He growled and gripped her wrist. Luna felt something in her snap. She could no longer observe this boy and try to figure out how he thought. She was in danger. She felt herself scream at every muscle in her body to fight him off and run, but none of them moved. Her wand was in her pocket but she couldn't force her free hand to reach for it. She finally managed to break whatever spell she was under and forced her hand to reach for her wand. Before she could grab it, she felt someone force them apart. Rolf was standing there, his eyes blazing. Luna was now on one side of Rolf and he was on the other.

"Don't touch her" Rolf growled

"Keep the bitch" the boy said and led his group away, cursing under his breath.

"Are you ok?" He asked

"Yeah, I'm fine," she whispered. She ran her thumb over a small indent on her wrist.

"I never knew you had a scar there" he said, staring at the indent. She wanted nothing more than to hide her wrist behind her back.

"It's not so bad," she shrugged. Rolf just shook his head. He mumbled something under his breath, something that sounded vaguely like Carrow. Luna froze her spot.

"Did you just say Carrow?" Luna asked, trying to keep her tone even

"I'm sorry?"

"You were just mumbling about something," Luna said.

"Yeah sorry, I just said that this was a bad idea. I knew we should not let Parker go through with this stupid plan of their's. We should find them and get out of here" he said. He began to disappear deeper into the crowd. Luna followed behind, trying not to get lost in the crowd again. She stared at Rolf's back. She had a couple of unique talents, one being her ability to tell when someone was lying to her. She knew that Rolf was lying to her about what he had mumbled.

"Oh, you are so funny!" Luna heard Juniper say. She could not quite see her but she guessed that Rolf could

"Oh no." Rolf said Luna and Rolf managed to squeeze their way through the crowd to see Juniper draped all over a new girl. The girl looked vaguely familiar, but Luna could not quite place her. The girl was laughing at something that Juniper had said. Parker was standing off to the side, looking like a kneazle that had gotten it's cream.

"I swear to m-god" Rolf said, storming over to where Parker was standing

"Hey guys" Parker said, an easy smile spread over their features.

"Why is that random girl talking to Juniper?"

"Because she's cute and interested in Juniper?" Parker said

"Juniper does not need a rebound. She needs time, she just got her heart broken" Rolf said

"Juniper needs to get over Astoria," Parker said. Luna watched both of them, realizing the issue within the situation.

"Did either of you stop to ask Juniper what she needed?" Luna asked. They both looked at each other. She heard a quiet mix of nos and mumbled responses.

"Everyone grieves differently. Why did you both assume how Juniper would?" Luna asked

"Look Lune, heart break is-"

"Different for everyone. Juniper is grieving. Grieving is hard and no two people need the same thing. I can tell you from experience. Neither of your suggestions are making her happy. Why don't you just ask her what she needs"

"Fine, we will, but she's going to tell you the same things we've been telling you Luna" Parker said. Luna shrugged. The small party turned to see Juniper with the girl draped over her. A group of people Luna only vaguely recognized were now surrounding Juniper and the girl.

"Hey guys, this is Gabby," Juniper said.

"Hey," Gabby said. There was an exchange of pleasantries followed by the other group falling back into conversation. Luna was not particularly interested in their gossip and found herself thinking about Rolf again. She could not wrap her head around it. Why would Rolf know to say Carrow and then why would he lie to her about it? She had almost forgotten the others were there when she heard something that snapped her out of her daze.

"No offense Juniper, but Gabby, what about that girl you had a crush on? One of the girls teased

"Please, Tori hasn't even looked at me" Gabby said. Juniper choked on her drink.

"Tori? She asked

"Yeah, Astoria Greengrass, don't know if you met her. Total smoke show and super mysterious. Only problem is that she won't give anyone a passing glance" Gabby said

"Well actually, I saw her eyeing up this girl in bio the other day" one of the girls said

"Really" Juniper said, her voice breaking slightly

"Yeah, and you would not believe it. I saw them snogging in the hallway after class!" The girl said, giggling to her friends. Juniper stood up

"I have to go to the bathroom" she said.

"Are you ok?" Gabby asked

"I'm fine" she squeaked before racing away. Rolf and Parker locked eyes. Luna was not going to wait for them. She got up and quickly followed Juniper into the bathroom. When she knocked on the door, she heard faint crying inside. She took a sharp breath and pushed the door open to see Juniper standing over the sink, crying

"Oh hey Luna" she said

"Hi," Luna said. Juniper broke down in sobs again, Luna placed her hand on her back. Junipers choked out a few more sobs before regaining her composure.

"Fuck them" Juniper said

"Fuck who?" Luna asked

"Gabby's stupid friend, that girl from bio and most of all that bitch" Juniper said

"I'm sorry"

"I didn't do anything and I get a slap to the face and then a break up? I mean, totally psycho."

"Yeah, psycho" Luna said

"And now here I am crying over her in a bathroom when I should be having fun, wearing cloths I don't like and wearing this stupid wig."

"You should be doing what would help you right now," Luna said forcefully.

"You know what would help, getting this stupid wig off" Juniper said.

"I got it," Luna said as she carefully began to remove the pins

"Is it bad that I'm still so upset by all of this?" Juniper said

"Everyone grieves differently" Luna shrugged "when my mother died, my dad just wanted to get back to normal. I wanted to take more time to remember her. Grief is different for everyone"

"I didn't know about your mom," Juniper said

"I don't talk about it much" Luna said, removing the last of the pins. "All done" she said with a smile

"Thanks Luna"

"No problem" Luna said. Before getting up

"Luna?"

"Yeah?"

"Thanks for being such a good friend."
