A/N:The reason for why Keir can use magic will be explained later on as well as all the new Keir is still clueless the existence of most magical beings such as Salem,Ozpin or the maidens.

CRIME

"What a fucking pain."Quinn spat out as she leisurely sat on the dirt ground while overlooking the train tracks a good distance from them still equipped with her gun that was strapped to her back.

"You seem especially pissed tonight reason for that?"Luna's voice was heard from was positioned on a tree her sniper ready and with a lit cigarette in her mouth.

"Course I'm this train is taking it's sweet ass time showing up,I mean we've been standing here for hours."She spat out annoyed."And then this guy shows up,and you know what that means? He also get's a cut meaning we get less money."She said gesturing to Keir who merely stood silently with his arms crossed.

Luna merely shrugged her shoulder's as she puffed out smoke before she spoke."No point in bitching about like we need alot of money we only need Dominic is the boss of this operation so he calls the shot's."

Quinn merely clicked her tounge as she went back to staring at the train tracks.

What a brat.

Keir couldn't help but think to wished he had a better team for this operation, but he only needed to do this job and then they would go their separate way's.

After night had fallen the trio were told by Dominic to await at this part of the forest where the diverging tracks tracks were placed in the middle of the forest with a large clearing around it the track's,large enough for the train to atleast make it's way through the forest.

As for the means of how the stolen dust would be moved, well a large modified cargo bullhead was going to be piloted by Dominic.

Although it was extremely slow,it made up for it by being able to carry heavy loads

"Here it come's."Luna's voice caught his attention as the sound of a train in the distance filled his ears.

"Fucking finnaly!"Quinn exclaimed as the train came to a screeching halt before the divulging paths.

The train was rather large, black in colour draggin behind a large number of carts and containers.

Once the train fully came to a halt someone emerged from the second cart,it didn't seem like the train had a conductor instead it was an automatically operated.

As for the person who emerged,he seemed to be wearing green Mistral city guard was also armed with what looked like an old fashioned musket.

He stepped over the rails and to a lever a few meters infront of the train, the lever that would change the direction of the rails.

"Well, let's get to work."Luna mutterd as she reached into her jacket and pulled out some dust rounds.

"You plan on shooting him with that thing? You do realise that guard might not have an aura."Keir quiestioned as he stared at the modified sniper normal shot from it could easily tear through an aura-less adult.

"Relax.I'm using modified wind dust round's,one shot should just knock him out cold."She said as she aimed, and without hesitation she pulled the trigger.

An invisible gale of wind shot out and collided with the guards chest.

He didn't even have time to react as he was sent flying back a few meter's,his body collided with with the ground skidding on it.

The sound seemed to have been heard as two more guards emerged.

Upon seeing their uncouncious comrade one of them spoke into something, probably alerting the other's.

After that several of the carts lit up as more guards emerged from them.

In a short time the clearing was filled with over twenty guards all on guard and armed.

"Seemes there's alot of 'em."Luna mutterd not exactly sounding worried.

"Who cares?Their nothing but small fry."Quinn announced as she reached into her jacket and pulled out other large modified handguns, with black and white markings etched into them."Let's kick some ass!"

With that she ran out of the cover of the forest before anyone could stop her.

Keir followed her lead as Luna stayed back and once again took aim.

The guards were quick to notice the approaching duo,as soon as they spotted their weapons they were quick to respond by taking aim.

Although not quick enough as Quinn started shooting wildly at them first, added with the support of Luna the guards were quickly thrown into dissary.

But despite her wild showing Quinn was careful where she took aim,she shot with great precision and accuracy as she danced through the hail of bullets that soon followed.A impressive display of both agility and accuracy was shown by her.

Hidden in the tree Luna provided support by gunning down the guards who were out of reach for the duo on the used her wind rounds to knock them off balance while also simultaneously providing cover for the two.

Keir didn't draw his sword's as that would be overkill,he instead opted to attack using his gauntlets as weapons.

He made sure to pull his punches as to not do any lasting damage to the guards,as for his defence he didn't have to care about armor was more than enough to defend against the dust rounds of the guards added with the fact that Luna coverd the two.

"C'mon that all you posers got!"Quinn mocked as she evaded a strike from one guard who in return recieved a kick to the shin and a dust round in his continued dancing through the onslaught as she fired away, reloading every now and then.

Keir stared at the guards approaching him, they were now holding their muskets in a way that showed they intended to use it as melee weapons.

They must've realised that shooting wouldn't work out so they resolved to fight closed ranged.

Keir swung his head to the side as a strike flew past him, clenching his fist he punched at the attacker's spat out a mouth of saliva before he fell to the ground.

Two other's wasted no time in attacking as they charged at him while they swung their gun's around wildly.

He dodged there feeble attempts to attack him as he swiftly took them down.

The last one, deceided to abounded the notion of fighting as immediately started running.

However his running didn't last long as he was shot in the leg.

"Pay more attention, this one almost got away."Quinn spat as he looked at the squirming man who groaned in pain.

Keir ignored her as he examined the scene, they had easily dispatched the guards in record time.

Some were uncouncious while other's clutched their wounds in pain while squirming on the ground.

"Well well, you certainly know your way around a fight."Luna complimented as she approached the two."Dominic actually did a good job with recruiting you."

"Your impressive 't think I've seen someone with that much skill with a rifle."

Luna merely smirked as Quinn spoke up.

"C'mon let's find the dust and bounce.I don't wanna waste any more time here."

"Right, the dust should be in that red two load it out and I'll contact Dominic and let him know we took care of securing the dust."Luna spoke.

Nodding the two reached and opened the container,it was loaded with various neatly stacked wooden boxes.

All containing specific dust as labeld on them.

Keir and Quinn wastes no time as they quickly and carefully loaded all the crates outside.

Dust was highly reactive so one wrong move and everything goes 'boom'.

"Damn what a pain."Quinn annoyingly mutterd as she set a crate on the ground."Hey can't you take care of this alone?"

"I can,but that would take longer and I'm sure you'd wanna get paid sooner rather than after this it's gonna be a long trip to Vale so quit your whining."

Quinn merely clicked her tounge as she went back to working.

"Dominic said that he'd be on his way pretty soon, after that we only have to load it on the bullhead than it's straight to Vale."Luna announced.

"Great,so you plan on helping?"Quinn asked gesturing to the container.

"Nah,I'll let you two handle it.I just got my nails done."

"Ah?You serious?"

"Yeah, good luck."She said as she made her way to a nearby on it she merely checked on her sniper rifle while Quinn begrudgingly went back to unloading all the dust.

After a while the two finnaly got finished with unloading the dust crate's within the container.

"Goddamn, finnaly"Quinn mutterd as she wiped a bead of sweat off her forehead."Why the hell was this train carrying this much dust anyway?"

"It's probably for the town's spread rarley have their own dust supplies so all they can so is pay for dust to be delivered from these larger cities or other settlement's."Keir answered.

"What do they need dust for anyway?Aren't most towns old fashioned? They don't need dust to power any kinda technology so why do they even need it?"Quinn questioned again.

"Probably for the town's might not have advanced technologies but they do posses weapons that require dust."

"And here we are stealing it..."Quinn mutterd.

"Having second thought's?"

"Course not!"She exclaimed."As long as I get paid,I don't care."

"I see,so there a reason you need the money?"Keir asked.

"Yeah it's this nice reason called 'none of your goddamn business.'"Quinn spat out.

"No big reason,we just need the money to get our hand's on some transcripts."Luna explained as she approached the two again.

"Oi! You might as well be telling him everything about us while your at it."

"Transcripts?Oh right,Dominic did mention you two were aspiring you plan on attending the Acedemy there?"

"That's right."Luna confirmed.

"But why go through all the effort?Last I heard the difficulty of each Academy entrance exam were increased by a large margin."

"Yeah,I know must sound see we got our own reasons for wanting to go through with it."

"I see."Keir simply responded not looking to pry further.

At the same time the sound of an approaching bullhead got the three's attention.

They looked up to see the cargo bullhead being piloted by Dominic.

"Finnaly, guy took his sweet ass time showing up."Quinn commented.

The bullhead landed swiftly on an open area as Dominic quickly emerged from it.

He stepped out as he whistled staring at the scene of the many injured and uncoincious guard's.

"Damn, you three sure cleaned house.I made the right choice hiring you three."He complimented.

"Save your flattering, let's just get this over with."Quin replied.

"Sure, sure I'll open up the back then we can start loading the dust in."

With that they started loading up the dust crates, making sure to stack them carefully.

"Oh yeah, before we go to Vale City we'll be having to make a quick stop outisde the city."Dominic announced.

"Ah?What for?"Quinn questioned.

"Well we won't be able to fly an unlicensed bullhead into the city so I had someone prepare a vehicle for us outside of the city.I already prepared the documents to past through the city entrance."Dominic explained and Quinn raised an eyebrow.

"Why not just prepare these document's for the bullhead?"

"That would've taken longer and it would be too expensive.I'm doing this job to make money not spend it."Dominic responded dully.

"Crate's are done being loaded can go."Luna interupted.

"Great,let's get going then."

The four quickly boarded the bullhead, with Dominic piloting it and the three taking seat's in the back.

The bullhead swiftly took off to it's next destination,Vale.

"I'm getting some shut-eye,wake me up when we get there."Quinn spoke with a yawn as she leaned back and closed her eye's.

Luna merely shook her head as she fiddled with her scroll.

Keir merely leaned back as he thought of his next move.

He was going to one of the more bigger and famous cities in Renmant

Normaly he would avoid the larger cities but he was getting kind of tired with just traveling around.

Maybe he would just settle down there, although money would still be a problem.

And he doubted the money he was going to receive from this job would last long.

He sighed slightly, how he wished there was place he could just get a roof over his head and free food.

Unfortunately that place didn't exist, but a man could wish.

But maybe he could look for a job there, but then he would need proper identification.

If that was the case he doubted he could get a job at his age.

"So what's your plan for when you reach the big city?"Luna suddenly spoke up,still staring at her scroll.

Keir rosed an eyebrow at her sudden interests but nonetheless he answered.

"Dunno, guess I'll look for a place to stay or look for any kind of job I can do."

"Seem's you don't have any plan's established for yourself."

"You got that right."

"Hmm,ever thought becoming a Huntsman?"She suggested."I mean with your skill you might just pass the exam's."

"Becoming a Huntsman, huh? The idea never crossed my mind, besides I'd be wasting four years in an Academy before I even become one."

"True, but in the mean time you got a free place to sleep and a hefty supply of food."

That did sound appealing but,

"What about school fees?"

"Last I heard most governments provides funding for most Academy's,but the student's themselves are still responsible for mainting their own gear."Luna spoke with a shrug."It's a pretty good deal if you ask me."

A good deal indeed.

But would he really go throught all the trouble of the entrance exam's just so he could find a place to stay?

Perhaps,food for thought.

"So that way you two plan on taking the entrance exam's?"

"Not really, see there's many benifits to being a I plan to exploit those benefits immensely."She said with a small grin.

"I see"

Benefits.

Words that resonated with Keir.

Shaking his head he leaned back further as he waited the rest of the trip out.

The flight took longer than expected and in just a blink a few hours easily passed.

"Alright I see the vehicle, get prepared to land."Dominic announced.

Luna turned to Quinn as she closed her scroll.

"Quinn wake up we're here."She said as she slightly shook her.

"W-what,"Quinn spoke up as she grudgingly opened her eye's before letting out a scene might've looked cute if she wasn't such a bitch.

"Finnaky."She mutterd as the bullhead landed, the three stood up,stretching there leg's due to the long journey.

"C'mon let's load up the dust on the truck."Dominic orderd as the back opened.

"We have to load it up again!?"Quinn exclaimed exasperated.

"How else did you expect us to move it to the vehicle?"Keir questioned.

Her response was just to click her tounge.

And without another word they got to work.

The vehicle in question was a large truck with a container on the the crates into the container proved to be more faster with the added pair of hands of Luna and Dominic.

The truck seemed to have enough space in the front for four people as the seats were conjoined,Dominic took the wheel with Luna next to sat next to the window with Quinn next to him.

"So fucking cramped."Quinn complained squirming.

"Thought you'd be the last person to complain given your size."Luna pointed out.

"Shut it."

Keir ignored their banter as he stared out of the window.

The trip through the gate's were uneventful, the guards only asked for the required documents before they let them through.

However as they enterd the city Keir couldn't help but marvel at the view of the city.

The tall skyscrapers, the neat streets, the brightly illuminated shop's.

It was truly a site to behold even in the darkness.

He was never one to visit any cities but he'd have to admit,he was missing out for the most part.

Dominic continued driving throught the dimly illuminated street's,the more he dorve the less building's were in view.

It seemed he was driving to a more secluded spot of the city,to meet whoever the buyer was.

The street's got more darker and less easy on the eye' they were heading to the more secluded and ruff part of town.

"Place looks like shit."Quinn commented.

Keir couldn't help but agree, when entering the city one would never expect a part of the it to look this bad.

And there were a fair number of people here, some faunes some humans all dressed in ragidy clothing although they soon also diseapeared from view as the truck started to slow down signalling that they've reached their location.

They stopped infront of a large white warehouse with a curved roof, similar in appearance to a large Quonset narrow end of the warehouse had a cargo door that slid open, and two rows of windows, one with six windows and the top row having were additional windows along the long sides of the warehouse near the seemed large enough to contain a large number of various thing's.

Dominic quickly pulled out his scroll as he began contacting someone,it didn't long before said person answered.

"Hey,I got the goods outside the warehouse, open up."Dominic spoke as the voice on the other end mouthed an 'okay' before the entrance at the warehouse opened up.

It was large enough for the truck to past through so Dominic drove on through.

The truck came to a halt at a large space filled with several other container's.

Infront of the container's there was a man with a suitcase and a short girl, clearly the buyer's.

Dominic exited the truck as he approached the two with Keir,Luna and Quinn trailing behind him.

Getting closer Keir got a better look at the two.

The man was tall and lanky with slanted dark green eyes and long bright orange hair, with long bangs covering his right also wore a black bowler hat with a red band and a small feather, and also appeard to have black was dressed in a red-lined white suit and a small gray scarf also sporting black gloves with rounded sleeves, as well as long black pants and black shoes.

As for the girl her hair was split between the colours of brown and pink as well as white streaks in them, she had mismatched eye's with one being pink and the other wore a white cropped wide, broad tailed jacket with a pink interior, collar, and a single pink button and large pink cuffs. She wore brown pants with a dark belt that had a gray buckle and an additional narrow belt under it. Under her jacket was a brown corset, curved in the middle and at the bottom, exposing her hips. She also wore a multitude of black beaded necklaces, which hanged haphazardly around her also wore a black and white spat styled under the knee boots alongside black gloves.

She merely stared at the group her hands behind her back as she clutched onto an umbrella.

The man was the first one to speak up as he wore a slight smile.

"Dominic! So glad you could finnaly join us.I was beginning to think you wouldn't show up."

"Sorry 'bout that, the trip to Vale took longer than expected."

"That so?Well never mind,I see you assembled quite the team emo chick,a toddler and some wannabe knight?"

Keir ignored the comment, while Quinn sneered at the man,Luna just kept her expression indeffrent.

"But I trust that none of them will be tattle-tales, I wouldn't want to get rid of them."

"That won't be a problem.I hand pick 'em myself."Dominic quickly spoke up."And you know you can trust me with these types of things."

"Hmm,well of you say so."The man said as he rubbed his chin."But on to business,I'll have my men load off all that dust then you can receive your payment."

A few moments later,a few grunts enterd the warehouse and started unloading the dust.

Having more men made the process quicker and in almost no time all the dust was unloaded.

Looking over the contents of the dust the man nodded in satisfaction.

'It's a hefty sum of dust, you earned your keep."He commented as he handed over the suitcase to Dominic who opened it.

It contained several stacks of Lien.

Dominic couldn't help but whistle at the sight of all the money.

"Well a pleasure doing business with you Roman."Dominic said as he closed the case.

"With you as well."Roman replied as he and the girl turned to leave, the group did as well as they exited the same way they came in.

Once outside Dominic extrubuted everyone's cut of the money.

"A pleasure doing business with you folk."Dominic spoke."Good luck to you two with your entrance exams and good luck to you Keir."

"Same to you."Luna spoke as she and Quinn walked into the silent streets.

Them soon diseapearing from view.

"So what do you plan on doing?"Dominic suddenly asked.

"Not sure yet.I'll see what this city has to over first."

"Well with your talents there's sure to be something out there for you."Dominic said as he too started walking."But good luck with whatever it is you plan on doing."He finished with a wave.

"Hmm,wonder what it is I want to do..."Keir shook his head as he walked on into the silent street's.
