This omake is based on a parody done by SolidJJ. I highly recommend his youtube channel because his videos are great and the voice acting is superb.
-A totally canon Omake-
With careful precision, Makima slid her thumb across the screen, straining the sling to its very limit and saturating the potential force. With careful aim, she released, firing the red wingless missile against the fortress protecting the bodiless heads of the vile creatures.
Despite its non-existent optimization for aerodynamics, the living missile soared across the sky, smashing against her enemies' paltry walls and crippling them.
Makima could admit their defenses were well made. But once the foundations were toppled, the rest would fall crumbling down. The loss of the fortress's primary support caused brick after brick to fall. The loss of each vital structure leading to the loss of another, quickly becoming a continuous loop. The once safe haven rapidly turned into a death trap.
The monstrosities could only stare in horror as the walls fell, caving in from all sides. Their legless bodies did not provide means for them to escape, thus they could do nothing but wait to be crushed. Those at the top fell to their deaths, their eyes widening in both helplessness and fear. Makima watched, satisfied with the utter mayhem her single soldier caused.
Suddenly her satisfaction turned into irritation. All lay dead before her, all except one. She was sure her aim was perfect, but it seemed that her commands were not perfectly executed. Judging by the sole survivor's miniature stature, Makima concluded it was a child, but an enemy was an enemy and she would not allow a single one to survive.
She once again slid her thumb across the screen, ready to end this battle once and for all but found that she could not. She no longer had any soldiers left to fight with.
Frowning, she pondered on what to do. Accepting defeat was unacceptable but paying her way to victory was shameful…
"Hey there Makima, watcha doing?" Asked L, leaning forward across her shoulder.
While annoyed at the sudden intrusion disrupting her focus, Makima did not allow her emotions to color her voice. "Oh hey L. Light introduced me to this game called Angry Birds during breakfast this morning. Would you like a go?" Offered Makima.
"Hmmm… That game sure has been going around. I caught Light playing it the other day as well," mumbled L.
"Hahaha, it is rather addictive."
L stared at Makima's phone, thoughts flashing across his eyes as if deciding his next move. "Makima, you seem like you are just one bird away from victory. Why not buy it? I mean, you've come so far."
"Hmm. Good point L," admitted Makima
What is he playing at? Thought Makima. He knows I dislike losing but he should also know that I desire meaningful victories. Paying for the extra bird would mean taking the easy way out and my victory would be tainted… I see… He is trying to see whether I am willing to put down my pride for the sake of victory.
What is more important to you Makima? Asked L to himself. Victory or pride. Kira is the sort to prioritize victory over all else. If Makima chooses to buy the bird, then that would mean she is willing to do anything in order to win. That would fit Kira's mindset but if she chooses to not make the purchase….
If I don't buy the bird then I would be willingly choosing defeat. Something very unlike Kira but also very unlike me. Giving up would only raise L's suspicions even more. Makima cursed, unable to see a way out of this conundrum. Damn it, he got me…
Of course, she can just buy the bird and intentionally miss the shot however…
He will definitely be able to tell if miss on purpose. If that happens then that would be the same as confessing that I have something to hide… The best course of action would be to just buy the bird and destroy the last pig because that would be what I would do regardless of if I were Kira. But then…
She would be admitting that victory takes priority over all else, tainted or not. That she is willing to put down her pride to achieve victory… That would add to my suspicions and the probability that Makima is Kira would skyrocket.
Curse you L… Whether I destroy the pigs or choose to give up, it would only serve as evidence that I am Kira… Well played.
While frustrated, she could appreciate the insidious strategy of her true foe.
Should I just wipe his memories? No… If I did, then I would be admitting defeat to this man. It would mean that I am unable to win against him in a fair battleground…
Ryuuk hovered beside Makima and watched this silent exchange in confusion. "What the fuck is an angry bird?"
After this post, releases will slow down to once every 1-2 weeks. I am in the middle of planning and writing the first major arc of this series so I will unfortunately have to slow down.
