Jon-426 was born on September 27th 2511 in Utgard, Harvest. He was originally considered to be a candidate of the 300 members which were chosen before it was cut down to 150 then again to just 75.

While he was orginally going to be removed from the list, Dr Catherine Halsey took an interest to him due to his intriguing size and strength compared to a normal human child. These two attributes managed to get him inducted into the Spartan II program where they would only increase.

From his young age when training on Reach, he was seen as being both acting alone or working with all the different teams. Déjà and Dr Catherine Halsey saw this as more of a strength than a weakness for 426. Despite somd opposition from Senior Chief Petty Office, they allowed 426 to keep up with this.

Once he was given augmentations to become a Spartan II he was by far one of the strongest out there compared to the others. This allowed him to be even more flexible than before when either being a lone wolf or temporarily working with diffrent Spartan teams.

During the Human-Covenant War, 426 was assigned to and from multiple ships, Spartan Teams and planets to help fight off the Covenant. His last know mission was on July 18th 2552: Deny whatever it was the Covenent wanted to get in Côte d'Azur.

His last location before disappearing was Camp Alpha, where he was ordered on a solo recon mission my Joshua 029 to find any Covenant FOBs. When 426 didn't show up to the Pelican to evacuate off-planet, he was declared KIA. Captain Jacob Keyes and the other Spartan IIs mourned his supposed desth during their slipspace jump to Planet Reach.

Around 2555, Both Blades Of Glory ships "Event Horizon" and "Glorious Faith" were flying past Sigma Octanus IV. On that pass they detected a faint signal on the planet. Curious about what it could be, Marcus Walker along with a few troops flew down towards on a Pelican to where the signal was.

While exploring the debris of what used to be a city on the planet, they found the origin of the signal. To their shock it was a Spartan II, who was none other than 426 himself, inside a fallout bunker.

Walker instantly called in his Pelican to come pick up 426, take him to Event Horizin and ship him back home. Back on Earth ONI higher ups were glad 426 was back and planed on inducting him back into the UNSC.

The Spartan interjected however and requested to instead be assigned with the very PMC that had rescued him. He felt that he owed them a lot of gratitude for their action.

While some ONI members were a bit hesitant at first, they realised how invaluable the PMC was to the UEG and accepted 426's request. They considered him a gift of gratitude to Walker for his help in the last year.

Within his time working alongside the PMC, human members inside considered him a "Titan among all of them" due to his tall statue. This compliment stuck with and even inspired him to create his new nickname.

"Titan".

Side Note:

426 declined being given his own MJOLNIR GEN 2 armour even after being brief on the upgrades. His GEN 1 Mark 5 seemed inferior to us, but in his own words "It looked better than what was currently in service for Spartans".
