It was another day in the Galar region as the children had slept on the train that would take them to the Wild Area, so that they could learn more about the Pokemon that could grow exponentially like a giant.
As they were having breakfast, they didn't know about the little visitor that had got on the same train as they had gotten, only that the visitor was in a different car.
The visitor was in fact, the Scorbunny that Goh befriended with him. He was checking himself out as he wanted to look his best for Goh so he can go with him.
"Hm… Yep… Looking good… I wondered if that guy will take me in as a member of his team…" Scorbunny sighed, imagining battling along side with Goh.
As he was thinking about his future trainer, sunlight blinded him as he turned to see the Wild Area as he looked out the window to see many greens of grass and trees. And there were even some of the Pokemon that originated in the Galar region.
Scorbunny headed over to where there were rooms of where passengers slept in.
He knocked at the first door to catch the person's attention that was in the room. But as he opened up the door, the room was dark and there was no one in the room.
"No one's here… This isn't their room, then…" As he closed the door.
The second door had the lights on, but it had dresses that the boy didn't know of. But they were able to realize that this wasn't his room, as he know the boy would never wear dresses like the ones he is seeing now.
At the third door, there was no one inside… other than a Bunnelby chomping on some carrots, as there were bits of carrots lying on the ground, possibly due to his throwing it away after eating of what seemed to taste satisfying to it.
"Hm?" Who's there?" Bunnelby glared at where the Scorbunny was, shocked him in surprise.
"N-No one!" Scorbunny gasped as he closed the door to leave the Bunnelby alone with its snack.
Finally, he opened the fourth door to see a backpacks on each bed. As they were inside, they smelled a familiar scent in the room before he hears familiar voices coming from another car.
"That must be him!" Scorbunny said, before he ran toward the voices, which were coming from the dining car.
At the dinning cart…
The children were enjoying breakfast together with Eevee by there side. As they were enjoying breakfast, Hikari was struggling to eat a bread that seemed too hard to bite off and eat.
The scene caught Goh attention as he turns to see Hikari struggling to do so before he ripped the bread piece off of the bread, startling Eevee in the process.
"Whoa… man! This bread is so tough to eat!" Hikari grunted causing Goh to raise an eyebrow before he sighed as he advised on how easier it would be for Hikari to eat the bread.
"You could just break it off into smaller pieces before eating it." Goh advised, allowing Hikari to realize the truth to Goh's words.
"Whoa that's a great idea!" Hikari exclaimed as she did what her friend advised her to as she began to break the bread into smaller pieces, making it look easier to eat with the rest of the food that he had on the tray.
While the children were eating, they didn't notice the Fire Type approaching to where they were, as he jumped in the air to catch Goh's attention! But the children were focusing on breakfast, they didn't take notice of Scorbunny!
Upon realizing this, he sweat dropped before he looked at Goh, as he was thinking of a plan to get the humans and Eevee friend to notice his presence.
"I've got this weird feeling like we're being watched…" Hikari spoke, causing Eevee to blink.
"You too…? I'm getting that strange feeling, too… Although it feels rather weird…" Eevee admitted, as she frowned before looking around. But while she was doing so, she didn't noticed the Fire Type sneaking over to where her friends were.
"Huh… Maybe it's just us…" Hikari suggested, Eevee just frowned at her partner knowing that wasn't the case. She didn't have any prove so she went back to eating with her human friends.
While Goh was eating he didn't noticed a familiar bunny ears flapping at them, despite how close they were to him! Especially when after Hikari ate the bread, she slurped up the bacon and omelet soup, which made her feel content.
"So good!" Hikari exclaimed, causing Eevee to smile while Goh sweat dropped, making a bewildered look with how noisy and how weird it looked for Hikari to eat like that.
"What is with you?" Goh asked, before Hikari turned to her childhood friend.
"You should try it too, both of you! It tastes better that way!" Hikari assured, Eevee kept eating her pokemon food, while Goh on the other hand, felt doubtful about it.
"I doubt it…" Goh started at first, before he took a few pieces of bread and ate them, before slurping up the soup… As he did… the taste of the bread and the soup mixed together, much to his content.
"That was good…!" Goh admitted, causing Hikari to grin back.
"Told ya!" Hikari grinned.
Eevee smiled seeing how much Hikari and Goh were enjoying there food. Unfortunately they have yet to see Scorbunny, as he was beginning to feel a bit frustrated.
"What's with those humans…!? Is it that hard to spot me…!?" Scorbunny snapped.
"It's so frustrating…!" Scorbunny walked off to the end of the dining car before he noticed a couple of Oren berries on the cart of where the food is.
Scorbunny decided to have breakfast as he ate the Oren Berry. Scorbunny then kicked the second one away because it was getting in his way from eating breakfast, it caused it to hit the tray that a waiter was carrying before he yelped as the food spilled on the ground.
The fall caught everyone's surprise as they all turned to the falling waiter, who groaned before quickly apologizing to everyone who had seen what had happened to him just now.
"I am so sorry…" The waiter apologized as he got up, trying to get the fallen food off of him.
While the attention was gathered there, Scorbunny gave sheepish smile before he ran away from that spot so he won't be seen.
After giving up on trying to get Goh's attention, Scorbunny had decided to take a little nap while keeping himself hidden so he wouldn't be found so easily.
But what they didn't know was that be doing that, it would get him selves into a heap of problems.
As he was napping, he felt the train stopped and a weird noise that caught their attention. Hearing that, they both yawned and perked his ears up to feel the train stopped.
Scorbunny spoke before he got up and walked towards the door, with him sluggishly getting up so soon after his brief nap while hiding.
"I think exit is this way?" Scorbunny thought he heard a familiar voices. Following along with a boy that sounded very familiar.
Scorbunny finally woke up as he returned to reality, his eyes widened with horror as he hears the train whistle blow before the train started to move again!
"We're moving again! He got off the train!" The second gasped as he turned pale as he called out for Goh, trying to get his attention again.
"HELP! OVER HERE! HELP! I'M STILL HERE! HEY!"
But unfortunately, as the children and Eevee where outside, they couldn't here the cries coming from the Fire Types. Not even Eevee could hear him as the Fire Type ran to find an open window. As soon as he got there, he was about to jump off when the train went into the tunnel! Seeing that it was too risky to jump out while he was in a tunnel, the only thing he could do is slump down in defeat.
"Why did this have to happen to me?" Scorbunny groaned, feeling upset and a bit irritated for losing his chance to see his future trainer as the train moved on.
"Hm?" Hikari turned back towards the train was heading into the tunnel as she frowned… someone sounded familiar to her.
"Hikari?" Eevee called out to her, questioning of what she was thinking, causing her to blink before she shook her head in reassurance to her partner.
"Oh… it's nothing Eevee…" Hikari spoke before her partner followed her human companions to the station lobby, where there exploration for the giant Pokemon could continue.
"Yeah! Look out, giant Pokemon! Here we come!" Hikari called out to Goh as the entered the lobby as Goh was checking on his Rotom smartphone.
"First, let's find some clues!" Goh suggested as they headed to the ticket booth to where there was a man inside, who seemed to be looking closely at the tracksof where all the trains were moving.
"U-Um… excuse me?" Hikari called, catching the man's attention.
"Yes? May I help you?" The man asked, before Goh explained.
"We heard that there are Pokemon that can grow giant sized in this region! Can you tell us more?" Goh asked, causing the man to ponder about it before realizing what they were referring to.
"Grow giant sized? Ah… you must mean Dynamax!" The man chuckled, surprising them.
"It's called Dynamax?" Hikari asked, earning a nod from the man.
"Yes… it's accompanied by a red light." The man explained, casing them to smile together, as they earned a clue about the phenomenon in the Galar Region.
"Great!" All of them spoke as they headed out to the wild area with Eevee, trying to find out more information about the Dynamax phenomenon that the man had talked about.
Back with Scorbunny
Scorbunny was still waiting for the chance to get out of the train so that he could find Goh and accompany him of his journey.
He poked his head out the window and found a place to jump.
He talked to himself, "just stay calm… Ready… NOW!" The fire Type jumped out of the train window, only to end up rolling down the hill, much to his displeasure as he crashed into a tree upon stopping. But that didn't stop him as he quickly recovered before they quickly recovered before he ran back to the hill and got onto the tracks.
"I can still make it to them. Luckily I still have my speed to thank for, as I could probably make it to them geode nighttime!"
Scorbunny got to a starting position to run as he looked to see the train tunnel up ahead. Once a few seconds passed, as he ran across the tracks to reach for the tunnel!"
He continued to run for the tunnels, unaware that the obstacles that they needed to take weren't going to be easy.
Back with the Children
The children and Eevee began to explore around the Wild Area, seeing many kinds of Pokemon they never seen before… such as a pack of wild Wooloo, which Goh recorded with his Pokédex.
Goh also had recorded many Pokemon into his Pokédex, like a Phantump, Grubbin, Goomy, Hippopotas, and all sorts of Pokemon!
Nevertheless, the fun continued on as the children dinckef their heads in the river with their Pokemon friend Eevee to see Tympole swimming by before they saw a Frillish!
Then, Hikari hung onto Flygon's legs as the gentle and kind dragon and ground type gave her a little lift in the air, causing Goh and Eevee to follow, as they all began to enjoy their little fun.
Eevee seemed to enjoy it as well as they ran with her human friends to have with her human friend to have fun too with the exploration and seeing different kinds of Pokemon.
Back to Scorbunny…
While the children and Eevee were having fun, the Fire Type wasn't having fun at all as he had to run fast to escape from the train that came his way!"
"AHHHHHH!"
He ran out of the tunnel with the speed that had him from the shock of seeing the train fast approaching him. As soon as he got out of the tunnel, he jumped off the tracks.
"Darn it… I have to go longer way. Otherwise, I'll end up getting run over by that long, big, fast machine…" Scorbunny grunted.
With that said, Scorbunny continued to travel around the Wild Area… first by going up a steep hill… then he he forced to run down a hill as soon as he started to head down.
Then came a river as he swam slowly while being careful not to swim underwater as he wasn't comfortable with water, since he was a Fire Type.
And finally, he had to wait as a pack of Wooloo were walking past, causing him to jog in one spot and glare in annoyance as the line was rather long and it was taking too much time.
It was about an hour that had passed as the Fire Type was exhausted from the traveling that they've done so far… He managed to get past the tunnel area by taking the long way before getting near the train tracks.
By following the tracks backwards, he could find either the station or the children so that they could meet up with them…
"They should be here…. otherwise… where else… would they be?" As Scorbunny wheezed as he continued to trudge along the path by following the tracks.
Back to the children…
"Hm?"
Hikari was staring at the train signal that showed that the train was coming, which meant that she and her friends needed to stop so that the train can get past through.
"Hey, what are you looking at?" Goh asked, as Eevee turned to her friends, as Hikari stared at the red lights coming from the crossing lights.
"We'll… the guy at the station said we'd see the red lights…" Hikari started, causing Goh and Eevee to turn to the crossing lights, before they sweat dropped at what Hikari was referring to.
"Um… Hikari? I don't think the crossing lights were what the man was referring to…" Eevee spoke as they watched to see the train pass by.
By the time the longer passenger train passed by, the children crossed the crossing before Hikari blinked, seeing something up ahead as she smiled, realizing who the familiar Pokemon was up ahead.
"Ah… Over there!" Hikari called out, as she pointed to where there was a Snolax fast asleep under the tree.
"A Snorlax?" Eevee asked in confusion before she and the others ran over to where Snorlax was. And by the time they got there, they noticed how big Snorlax was unlike how a normal Snorlax should look like.
By seeing how big it was, Goh reached the conclusion that the normal type might be the Dynamax Pokemon that the man had explained to them before.
"I get it… So this is a Dynamax Pokemon!" Goh exclaimed, surprising Eevee while Hikari grinned, agreeing with Goh completely.
"Yeah! It's awsome!" Hikari exclaimed as Goh took out his Rotom Smatphone to scan the sleepy Normal Type. Eevee frowned since she wasn't sure that Snorlax was the Dynamax Pokemon that the man referred to.
"Snorlax, the Sleeping Pokemon. A normal type. Snorlax eats over 800 ponds of food everyday. As it begins to eat, it falls asleep and it sleeps when it eats. It's average height is a bit less than seven feet. Goh's Pokédex explained.
Eevee only frowned while Hikari and Goh on the other hand, believed that they found the Pokemon that they need to research about.
"Great! Let's record this, you guys!" Goh called out.
"Okay!" Hikari called as she began to inspect Snorlax for a bit with Goh doing the same.
"But Goh… we didn't see red lights. The man said that Dynamax happens when there's a red light, right?" Hikari asked when she realized this. This caused Goh to perk up to realize the truth in Hikari's words.
"Wait… then…" Goh quickly measured the Snorlax that they were inspecting, before the Pokédex explained the height of the sleeping Pokemon.
"The Height of this Snorlax is 10 1/2 fee." Goh frowned as he heard the details before he turned to his friends.
"Wait…?" Goh started, catching their attention as Goh frowned with a disappointed look on his face.
"I think your right, Hikari… I actually imagined to be a lot bigger than this…" Goh frowned, causing both Hikari and Eevee to frown causing them to speak in agreement.
"M-Mm…"
"Honestly I did, too."
The children frowned together while Eevee climbed up the sleepy Normal Type as Goh folded his arms and frowned.
"It's weird, isn't it? Maybe this is Prof. Cerise's way of trying to teach us that reality can be different from how we imagined it…" Goh frowned as he looked around to see if there was anything wrong with his observation.
"Or maybe it could be because that the Dynamax phenomenon hasn't really happened yet. We didn't see the red light, remember? That's what the man said back at the ticket booth." Hikari reminded him.
"Yeah, but where does the red light come from anyway…? And we're exactly?" Goh questioned, leaving Hikari stumped as she shook her head, showing she doesn't know.
"We'll… sure doesn't look like it's gonna move now…" Hikari stated, before Goh made a suggestion.
"Why don't we observe it a little while?" Goh suggested, earning a nod for both Hikari and Eevee.
As they continued to search around, none of them or Eevee noticed Scorbunny trying to capture their attention as he waved his ears and paws to get their attention.
"Come on…! Eyes on us! We're right here…!" Scorbunny whined, trying to get Goh's attention.
This time, Eevee saw Scorbunny standing next to Goh while she was on Snorlax's tummy.
"Ah…! You?!" Eevee gasped, she was surprised to see Scorbunny. Unfortunately Goh and Hikari didn't see Scorbunny. This caused him to juggle some pebbles to get Goh's attention as Eevee blinked, seeing Goh wasn't noticing any of Scorbunny's efforts!
"Where…did you come from? Eevee asked Scorbunny.
"I followed you and your friends back from the city after we got onto the train!" Scorbunny exclaimed.
"Wait… you followed us? For what? Eevee asked, earning a smile from the Fire Type.
"Well… it's obvious, isn't it? We wanna join you!" Scorebunny explained, surprising Eevee.
"Really?"
"Yeah if only he would pay attention! UGH! I'M OVER HERE!" Scorbunny as snapped he kicked a rock that missed Goh and hits Hikari's head! She flinched as Hikari felt the impact before the rock hit the fruit hanging from a tree!
Goh yelped in surprise as Snorlax opened his mouth before chewing on the fruit that fell before spitting out the seeds that came from the fruit!
"Ah…" Eevee gaped at the sudden movement from the Sleeping Pokemon, before remembering that the giant Normal Type was able to eat while sleeping at the same time!
Hikari winced, groaned from the impact she had taken from the rock that hit the back of her head. Goh chuckled, seeing the reaction that Snorlax had done from the fruit, before turning to Hikari.
"Ahahaha! Looks like you hit the nail right on the head!" Goh chuckled, realizing that Hikari may have been right about what she had said earlier when Snorlax was waiting for the fruit to fall from the tree.
"Ow… Ow… So whose rock hit me on the head? Hikari groaned, causing Eevee to sigh.
"Scorbunny, Hikari…" Eevee sighed, catching Hikari and Goh's attention as they all turned surprise to see the Fire Type smiling at them with bright smiles on their faces!
"I finally got your attention!" Scorbunny spoke happily, shocking Goh as he was the first to react in shock.
"Scorbunny!? Wait… you!?" Goh yelped in surprise to see Scorbunny without mud all over his body.
"We know you… and you're not dirty anymore!" Hikari commented in surprise.
"Of course not! I got myself tidy up so that I can see you guys with a new fresh look!" Scorbunny bragged causing Hikari to smile before chuckling.
"What did he say?" Goh asked, causing Hikari to explain.
"He got himself cleaned up so he could see us…" Hikari explained , causing Hoh to be surprise and confused from the words.
"See us?" Goh questioned with a frown before he smiled, noticing the true look on Scorbunny's face.
"I like this look a whole lot more! Don't tell me that you came looking for us, like Hikari said? Goh asked, only to get a nod from Scorbunny.
"Yep!" Scorbunny responded, allowing Hikari to understand what Scorbunny wanted.
"I think these guys wanted to be your partner, Goh!" Hikari pointed out, surprising Goh.
"Wow… You really mean it?" Goh asked, causing Scorbunny to grin proudly before anticipating a yes from Goh.
"I'm sorry…" Goh apologized, surprising Scorbunny.
"H-Huh? What's wrong…? Scorbunny asked as Goh continued to explain.
"You see… I already know which Pokemon I'll catch first. And it's going to be Mew… Ever since that moment." Goh explained, shock Scorbunny as he turned pale from the explanation.
"W-What…? Ah… N-No…" Scorbunny frowned in shock and upset.
Hikari frowned before Goh continued on with his apology.
"I'm flattered that you came to find me… That's really sweet, but I'm sorry… Goh apologized, causing despair to rise up on Scorbunny's face.
"Goh… Isn't that harsh? He came all this way just to see us and your turning him away?" Hikari asked, feeling a bit upset for Goh's actions and words, as he chosen Mew over the Pokemon that wanted to be with him.
"But it's my dream… and my future that'll become a reality… I've already made my decision to- -"
"How do we know that Mew even wants to be with you? We both know how much troublesome and difficult it is to find Mew, right?" Hikari interrupted him, frown turning into a glare.
Upon seeing this, Goh glared back.
"What are you saying, then? That I can't do it?"
"At the way you are, you can't! Mew won't just let you capture it! You'd need to battle it first since it's a Mystical Pokemon! Scorbunny could help you achieve that task if you just gave him a chance!
"But Mew is the Pokemon that I want catch first! Even if it looks impossible, nothing is impossible unless I try it out, right!?"
"How can you be so insensitive!? This is just like back at the time when you didn't want me to help that Ivysaur when he was struggling was getting past that wall!
"I told you, didn't !? Us humans can't always help Pokemon even if we wanted to! There are times when they need to need to help themselves!"
"So what did you do then when Me and Eevee were struggling against Team Toad!?"
"That's…!"
"Knock it off, you guys! There's no need to fight!" Eevee called out, as he jumped down try to separate them. Upon being apart from each other, they blinked before they turned away from each other with frowns on their faces.
Scorbunny and Eevee watched with concern while she frowned, realizing Goh's rejection of him to fight with the boy that he wanted to be with.
But before anyone else could do anything, particles of red light started to come out of nowhere, surprising them and their Pokemon friends as they looked around to see the light coming from everywhere as they where going to into the Sleeping Pokemon's body!
"What the…!?"
"What's going on…!?" Hikari and Eevee gasped as they looked around before Hikari noticed where the lights were going into.
"The red light… that means… Snorlax… Guys!? I think Snorlaxis going to get bigger than it is now!" Hikari exclaimed as she turned pale upon realization.
"What's!?" They gasped as they watched to see Snorlax starting to glow with red light before the sky turned dark, as the red light surrounded the Sleeping Pokemon.
"No way…! Is this…!?"
"This is… Dynamax!" Hikari answered for Goh as they all continued to watch the red light surrounding Snorlax. Then, as the light continued to glow, Snorlax started to grow bigger… and bigger…!
"Let's get out of here!" Hikari yelled as she and Eevee ran off first.
"Scorbunny, follow me! Goh called to Scorbunny, causing everyone to run from the glowing Sleepy Pokemon as it began to not just grow in size… it's appearance began to change a bit by bit as well!
Flowers and trees grew on its stomach… It was as if a hill was growing on the Sleepy Pokemon's stomach! By the time it had stopped growing, the children had to cross the train tracks to get away from the giant Pokemon!
"This is… what… Snorlax looks like when it's in it's Dynamax form…?" Hikari questioned in disbelief as she and Goh looked up at awe to see how much the the Sleepy Pokemon has changed when it had started to grow bigger!
"It's like a mountain! I mean, it's so big… and there's even a tree up there!" Eevee exclaimed as they all looked up. But that wasn't all bad news as Goh noticed a big problem regarding Snorlax's form.
"Uh, guys!? This is not looking good!" Goh called out as the children turned to see where Snorlax is lying at!
"It's on top of the railroad tracks!" Hikari exclaimed, causing Goh to check his phone, seeing how much time left there was for the next train to come by.
"And the next train's due at 8 minutes!" Goh exclaimed, shocking the children as they realized that there wasn't much time left before an accident could occur…
"Oh no… Oh no, oh no, oh no! No! Snorlax! Wake up! You can't sleep here! Wake up!"
Eevee rushed over and tried to call for Snorlax to wake up while Hikari and Goh tried to push the gigantic Pokemon out of the way despite of how futile it was, as Snorlax was much heavier and bigger then all of them combined!
"Guys, stand back!" Hikari called as Goh and Scorbunny did so. Hikari called Eevee to try and attack it so it would wake up!
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!" Hikari called out as Eevee did so. But instead of shocking the giant Sleepy Pokemon, it made it look like the attack was tickling Snorlax!
"It's not good!" Hikari exclaimed as Snorlax retaliated with a move that shout out a beam, creating a small explosion near where the children stood!
"A-Ah…" Scorbunny gasped as everyone went pale at how much power that attack had.
"Man, that was close…!" Hikari breathed out before they turned to see Snorlax scratching itself.
"Was that in it's sleep!?" Goh gasped as Hikari and Eevee ran over to try and yell at it's ear to wake it up!
"Quick! We gotta move now! Come on, Snorlax! MOVE! Hurry up! I'm begging ya here! MOVE! You gotta move quick! WAKE UP!" Hikari yelled as loud as she could with Eevee by her side.
Goh noticed something that might do the trick of doing the wake up call.
"Hikari! Eevee! Look up there! If we can make that Berry drop… maybe he'll eat it and it'll move, then!" Goh suggested, allowing Hikari to realize the point her childhood friend was trying to make.
"Maybe… but that would mean we'd have to climb up! What if he attacks us while we're trying to get on top of him? Hikari asked in worry for their safty, causing everyone one to frown as they knew that she had a point.
"We'll, maybe we can— Huh? Uh, Hikari!?" Goh started before his eyes widened his eyes to see the same red light starting surround Eevee, much to her surprise!
Hikari turned to see her partner emitting the same red light that Snorlax surrounded with! And in a matter of minutes, the Normal type Pokemon began to slowly grow bigger and bigger!
"Oh no… Eevee!? Your turning into a Dynamax Pokemon too!?" Hikari exclaimed as she stumbled back to see her partner grow bigger and bigger before she was almost on the same height as the Sleepy Pokemon!
"WHAT'S HAPPENING TO ME?!" Eevee yelled, with her voice echoing across the Wild Area. The children and Scorbunny flinched at the loud voice Eevee produced from her deep voice thanks to the Dynamax phenomenon.
"Eevee." Hikari didn't know what else to say as she watched in shock and awe to see that Eevee has gained the power of Dynamax as well since the fur around her back had became a lot pouffier, which would mean.
"I think, we may have a fighting chance now to get Snorlax to wake up and get it off the tracks." Hikari spoke to her friends.
"Goh can you try to get the fruit to Snorlax? Eevee and I will act as a decoys to keep Snorlax's attention on us until you guys get the fruit." Hikari asked, causing both Goh and Scorbunny's eyes widen before they nodded together.
"Sure!"
"Okay!"
The two got ready to climb up Snorlax while Hikari was ready to battle the giant Sleepy Pokemon with her Dynamax partner by her side.
"Are you ready Eevee we don't have much time left the train arrives. So we have to hurry!" Hikari called out.
The answer from Eevee was a large booming cry, as if Eevee had agreed with her before Hikari called out the first move.
"Eevee use Shadow Ball!"
Eevee trudged, before trying to use the Thunderbolt attack. But with her being possessed by the Dynamax power, instead of creating a electric energy.
One big stop from her foot a large thunder cloud to appear which striker Snorlax with electricity while the field looked like it was cover in electric energy, which caused some damage! The Sleepy Pokemon yawned before groaning in pain, signaling that attack was effective!
"That did it!" Hikari exclaimed as Goh and Scorbunny began to climb up on the giant Snorlax. While Scorbunny made it look easy, Goh continued to struggle as not only Snorlax was big… Goh didn't have experience he needed to climb up tall things!
Scorbunny continued to climb up, but when he looked at Goh his eyes widen to see Goh starting to lose his grip and was sliding down!
"Goh!" Scorbunny yelled with concern for the boy when he was struggling, looking as if he was going to fall down! Thankfully, it didn't happen as Goh continued to climb up, much to Scorbunny's relief.
Goh and Scorbunny somehow managed to climb all the way to where a tree was on Snorlax's mountain stomach. As they climbed up, they managed to see how big the fruit was.
"It's huge…!" Goh breathed out in awe, with Scorbunny doing the same.
They arrived at a flowery field with the flowers being almost the size as he was, much to their awe.
"This is incredible… But which way will it fall?" Goh asked as he looked up at the giant berry before noticing where Snorlax was, causing him to make a plan of where the berry needed to fall.
"Scorbunny, here! You've got to drop the berry right here!" Goh called out, earning a nod from Scorbunny.
"Got it!!" Scorbunny daid before it ran up to the berry as he used his feets to kick the berry's stem to make it fall!
But to their shock, the stem didn't look like it had a scratch!
"Not good!" Goh said as he checked his Rotom Smartphone.
"We've got four minutes left!?" Goh shouted, enough for Hikari, Scorbunny and Eevee to hear. Hikari's eyes widened before seeing Snorlax use the same move to attack Eevee!
The beam hit Eevee hard, causing Eevee to yell and grunt in pain as she took the big hit from the giant Sleepy Pokemon.
"Eevee, stay strong! Use Swift!" Hikari called out as Eevee raised her paw as she slammed it down on the ground causing cracks as the shock wave to the ground to strike Snorlax. The Sleepy Pokemon felt the hit as it yawned while wincing in pain from the hit it had taken!
"Okay! Time to go for broke!" Scorbunny yelled as he ran towards the berry up in the tree. As Scorbunny used a bunch of Double Kicks at berry's stem over and over again!
While Scorbunny was doing that, Goh used his strength to try to shake the berry to make it easier to cut the stem! Goh was doing this to prove himself when he remember's Hikari's words. Flashback: "So what you been doing while Me and Eevee were struggling against Team Toad!?" Hikari said. "That's…" Goh said.
Goh pushed more force against the berry to show everyone and himself that he could do more to help. And it was working as for every strike, the stem got damaged by Scorbunny's kicks!
"Alright! Way to go! Scorbunny!" Goh exclaimed as Scorbunny kicks struck the stem once more, causing a huge amount of damage to be done in total, causing Goh to call out to Scorbunny to make out more push.
"One more time!"
At that call, the last kicks from Double Kick cut the stem, causing the berry to fall and roll down the mountainous hill as Goh watched it happen.
"Goh! Here it comes!" Goh shouted out as he watched the berry roll down the mountainous stomach.
"Yeah! Keep going! Go!" Goh called out, but to his dismay and the others, the berry was almost to Snorlax's mouth, but it stopped on the tree branches that were right in front of the Sleepy Pokemon's mouth!
"Oh no!" Hikari gasped as Goh widened his eyes before he ran over to push the berry into the Sleepy Pokemon's mouth.
"No! Not there! Come on…! Move it…!" Goh grunted as he tried to push the berry was too much for Goh as he couldn't move it… or even budge it as a berry was a stuck in place.
As Scorbunny watched, the crossing signals began to ring, catching the children and the Pokemon's attention as they realized what that meant.
"The train is coming…! There's hardly any time left…! Goh!" Hikari called, trying to get to her friend to move the berry. He didn't take notice Scorbunny jumped down from the tree and ran down towards where Goh was standing.
As for Goh, he began to feel frustrated that nothing was working as he realized that it was only a matter of time before the train could crash into Snorlax's giant body!
"Ugh… No way!" Goh started before a cry from Scorbunny caught his attention as he turned to see him coming up to him before he began to push the berry as well!
Seeing the effort that Scorbunny was using to push the berry and remembers how Hikari and Eevee struggled with Team Toad when they tried to steal all the Ivysaur's and the Bulbasuars. Goh smiled before he began to push the berry as well, causing him and Scorbunny to work together!
"Right…! Now we're gonna move this!" Goh exclaimed as he and Scorbunny began to push the berry together!
But as they struggled to push, the train was getting closer and closer!
"This isn't good! This isn't good at all! Goh please hurry!" Hikari pleaded.
As for Goh and Scorbunny, the two continued to struggle to move the berry as even with the two of them together wouldn't budge the berry!
"Just… MOVE!" Goh grunted before he noticed to see Scorbunny's feet skidding back and forth, creating a bit of flames from the movement he's done with his feet!
Remembering how good it was with his foot when Scorbunny battled Eevee yesterday, an idea came from Goh's mind as he called for Scorbunny to use a move.
"Scorbunny, use double kick!" Goh called, surprising Scorbunny.
"And give it everything you've got!" Goh shouted out, causing Scorbunny got ready to make his two kicks worth it!
"NOW GO!" Goh yelled as Scorbunny jumped up high with a boast from his ears before he landed not one, but two kicks! The berry budged, before it began to fall… right into Snorlax's mouth!
"ALRIGHT!" Goh exclaimed as Hikari and Eevee gave big smiles and were relieved about what just happened. But as the berry was falling into Snorlax's mouth, the giant Sleepy Pokemon suddenly jumped up in the air despite it's weight and size!
It swallowed both Scorbunny and the berry much to Goh's horror as the train on the other hand, managed to screech to a stop.
As Snorlax landed on the ground after swallowing both Scorbunny and the giant berry, the impact caused a tremendous shockwave, startling most of the wild Pokemon that were living in the Wild Area!
But as it had landed, it had gotten off the tracks, making it safe for the train to continue forward and to continue its journey.
Goh on the other hand, was shocked to see Scorbunny get swallowed as he ran over to Snorlax's mouth to demand that he release him.
"Scorbunny, no…! Hey… HEY! Stop that! Spit Scorbunny out!"
But before Goh could try to pry the giant Pokemon's mouth open, both Snorlax and Eevee began to glow red again! The children watch in surprise to see them both shrink down while the sky turned clear as it usually was before the Dynamax process had begun.
"Whoa!?" Hikari yelped as she watched Eevee groaned from the sudden size change as the effect of Dynamax had finally worn off.
As for the others, Goh got up seeing Scorbunny's ears popping out from Snorlax's mouth! Feeling discomfort, Snorlax spit Scorbunny out causing Goh to run over and catch him in his arms!
Ignoring the saliva that covered Scorbunny, relief came to his mind to see him safe from being eaten by Snorlax.
"Thank goodness you're fine…" Goh spoke in relief as he set Scorbunny down.
Scorbunny shook the saliva off because of the discomfort, sighed in relief before Goh speaks to him.
"Hey, you did it…! See that? Your Double Kick saved everyone on that train!" Goh explained, pointing to where the train!" Goh explained, pointing to where the train was, as there was no sign of damage except for the crossing sign lights.
While Scorbunny watched, Goh wiped the saliva that was hanging from Scorbunny's nose.
"Thanks so much…" Hikari and Eevee thanked Scorbunny as he nodded in agreement.
At the thanks, Scorbunny smiled together feeling content and proud with him having save the day.
But then, his smile slowly went away as he was reminded what Goh wished for, as the Fire Type knew he couldn't go against Goh's wishes of wanting to have Mew for his partner.
With that said, Scorbunny sadly waved goodbye while he began to walk off.
"Scorbunny…" Hikari spoke with a frown while Goh did the same.
Goh sighed, feeling conflicted as he had said he wanted the Mystical Pokemon to be his partner. But remembering the good things Scorbunny has done something changed in Goh's mind.
He stood up, before he called out to Scorbunny to stop him from leaving.
"Hold on!"
That stopped him as he slowly turned to see Goh smiling before he began to praise Scorbunny for what he had done during the big battle.
"You know… you were great back there…" Goh praised, catching Scorbunny's attention.
"So… I want the first Pokemon that I catch to be you!" Goh declared loudly, surprising Hikari and Eevee before they smiled together, both content that Goh changed his mind about having Mew as his partner.
Hikari and Eevee were content with the decision too, Scorbunny's eyes widened in shock before happiness began to return to his eyes and to his face.
For Goh, he walked over to the Fire Type before taking out an empty pokeball for Scorbunny to see.
"You ready?" Goh spoke, earning smiles from Scorbunny's face!
"The best way to catch… is to throw a curveball!" Goh grunted as he threw the ball to capture his very first Pokemon.
"Pokeball go!" Goh called as he threw the ball to capture Scorbunny. But the ball missed, much to Goh's chagrin before he kicked the ball into the air, causing it to be thrown up before the Fire Type hit the ball with his head!
At the moment, the ball sucked Scorbunny inside, causing the Pokeballs to shake back and forth before clicks were heard, causing Hikari to smile while Goh reminded unsure.
"So… did I do it right?!" Goh asked as Hikari watched with Eevee by his side.
"You sure did! You caught it! Hikari exclaimed, causing Goh to blink.
"No kidding?" Goh asked, with the capture successful, both Goh's Pokédex rang to signal of what Goh had caught.
"Scorbunny has been registered into your Pokédex." Goh's Pokédex rang, at the new data before he happily stared at the ball that contained his very own partner!
"Good for you, Goh!" Hikari praised, causing him to smile before he raised the Pokeball's into the air to cheer for their successful capture.
"Yeah! I just caught my first Pokemon!"
He smiled before he let out his partner out before he threw his ball in the air.
"Scorbunny, come on out!"
As he called his partner, he came out of the Pokeball, feeling content with joining Goh that he wanted to be with them when he first met Goh!
"From now on, we're a team!" Goh assured before he and Scorbunny did a high five together with Goh using his hand and Scorbunny using his foot, causing the two laugh together. As Hikari and Eevee watched on the sidelines with smiles on their faces.
"I think they're all going to get along just fine…" Hikari commented , with her partner Eevee making her cry in agreement.
Later…
"We're back!"
Hikari and Goh let themselves into the lab to greet Prof. Cerise in the entrance as the Professor welcomed them all warmly with a smile on his face.
With that, the children began to explain of the experience that they had while visiting the Galar region, along with what they had seen and had gone through in order to solve the issue that they gotten themselves into.
"Say, you say you saw a Dynamax Snorlax?" Prof. Cerise asked out of interest.
"It was big enough to be a mountain!" Hikari commented, excited on how to describe it.
"It was huge, but it could still really, really jump!" Goh added, causing the Professor to chuckle in amusement.
"Sounds like a learning experience for the two of you!" Prof. Cerise chuckled.
A familiar angry bark caught everyone's attention as they turned to see Yamper coming over and angrily bark at what was behind Goh's legs! The Professor didn't see it at first, so he was confused as of what Yamper was mad about.
"Yamper! What on earth has gotten into you?" Prof. Cerise asked, only to answer when Goh's partner revealed himself to the growling Yamper!
"Hm? Scorbunny?" Prof. Cerise spoke in surprise as he and the children watched to see the two run around with Yamper doing the chase and Scorbunny doing the running.
But it soon ended when Eevee came down on Hikari's shoulder and greeted Yamper! At that moment, the mood quickly changed for Yamper as it happily greeted Eevee before they started talking among themselves!
Scorbunny made kicks to show off and tried to get the two Pokemon to notice, but they were too busy bonding with one another to notice Scorbunny's attempts too show off, much to Scorbunny's frustration.
Hikari can only smile sheepishly as the Rabbit Pokemon began to throw a tantrum before he angrily turned away with an angry pout before hugging Goh's leg for comfort.
"Who's this little guy?" Prof. Cerise asked, causing Goh to explain.
"My first Pokemon! I'd really like you to meet… Scorbunny!" Goh explained, introducing his new Fire Type partner to the Professor while the two smiled together proudly for a new bond that formed between them.
Hikari smiled as they not only learned about the Dynamax phenomenon that only occur in the Galar region, but Goh was able to gain a new friend and partner onto his team.
That night…
A young Thai boy with his Pichu on his shoulder was walking the dark streets of Saffron City since his plane had just arrived at the Kanto Region.
Pichu was getting impatient of getting somewhere to sleep for the night. "Don't worry Pichu we'll get to the Pokemon Center to sleep for the night just as soon as I find one. Why do cities have to be so huge I can't find anything here." Andy complained.
"I hope Anne and the others will be okay with Mister Planter when they get to the Kanto Region?" Andy said in worry for his younger twin sister. Pichu nuzzled his cheek trying to comfort him.
"Thanks Pichu, Now to find the Pokemon Ceennttteeerrrr!!!!" Andy yelled as he tripped over a rock as he and Pichu tumbled down a hill. While he wasn't watching where he was going. "Picccchhhhhhuuuu!" Pichu shouted as they tumbled down the hill.
When they stopped tumbling an elderly muscular man wearing a white and black dojo outfit holding a lantern up to see, next to him is his partner Poliwrath as they see a young Thai boy and a Pichu on the ground groaning. That's what Andy saw as he fell into unconscious.
