Five months later…
"Mum, I have already told you; the wedding is happening in Suna!" Sakura shouted down the phone.
"Well, I don't understand why it can't be in Konoha!"
Sakura took a deep breath and slowly let it out, "I have made my decision, it is up to you now whether you want to come to it or not."
"Fine, we'll fly over in a few days."
Sakura smiled, "thank you. I'll see you soon." She hung up the call and placed her phone down and sighed deeply.
"That sounded fun," Gaara said, as he walked into to living room with two mug of coffee.
Sakura huffed out a laugh, "if you say so."
Gaara placed the mugs down and sat down on the sofa. He picked up Sakura's legs and placed them in his lap, gently massaging her feet. "What did she say?"
"She finally backed down from trying to force us to get married in Konoha." Sakura sighed as Gaara gently massaged at her aching feet. "Thank you."
"You're welcome, beautiful," Gaara smiled at her.
Sakura placed her hand on her bump, gently rubbing at it.
"Is he kicking again?" Gaara asked and placed his hand on her bump.
Sakura looked at him and smiled, "he is." She moved his hand down and to the right and let him feel the tiny kicks of their son.
Gaara smiled and leant down and kissed her bump.
After the news broke out about Sakura's pregnancy, followed by the proposal, Gaara had moved in with Sakura. Given that they would barely get any privacy at Gaara's house. Over the last few months, they had both decided that they wanted a small, intimate wedding with their families and close friends in attendance. Within a week, they would be married.
Sakura looked at him and smiled wide.
"What are you smiling at?"
"At how happy I am."
Gaara gently put her feel on the ground and leant over, he captured her lips. "I'm glad you are," he said against her lips. He moved his mouth to her neck and gently kissed the spot he knew made her shiver.
Sakura let out a breath moan, and moved her neck, giving him more access. Her body tingling with desire, pleasure pulsing through her. She bit down on her lip as he bit down on her neck and licked away at the sting.
He grabbed the hem of her shirt and pushed it up, exposing her delicious curves. He bent his head down and sucked on her right nipple through her lacy bra.
Sakura sucked in a sharp breath; her head thrown back as pleasure pooled low in her stomach.
As he moved to the other nipple, there was a loud knock on the door, followed by Ino's voice shouting.
"Sakura, open the door!"
Both of them groaned at the intrusion. Sakura sat up and pulled her shirt down, "she seriously has the worst timing ever."
"I thought she was coming in a few days," Gaara sat back on the sofa.
"So did I," Sakura stood up and walked to the door, opening it.
"Surprise!" Ino shouted and threw her arms around Sakura.
Sakura returned the hug, "I thought you were coming in three days."
"I was meant to, but I know what you're like," Ino said and walked into the house, pulling her luggage behind her, "hi Gaara."
Sakura shut the door and faced Ino, "what do you mean that you know what I'm like?"
"That you probably have a lot to do, and haven't got it done," Ino said. "Isn't today your last dress altercation?"
"Yes, and I have a few hours-
"No, you don't, we're going now," Ino interrupted her. She grabbed her bags and took them to the spare room.
Sakura sighed out, "seriously has the worst timing ever."
Gaara walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her, he kissed her forehead, "she does."
"I was enjoying what you were doing," Sakura looked up at him, her eyes full of lust, her body still thrumming.
"We can sneak away and I'll carry on," he moved her hair out the way and kissed her neck, gently nipping at it.
"Right, let's get going," Ino walked down the stairs.
Sakura groaned and glared at her best friend, "you seriously have the worst timing."
"You've got the rest of your lives to have sex with one another, but you've only got a week until you're married, let's go."
Sakura clenched her jaw tightly and shook her head, "I hate you."
"I love you too, now let go of lover boy and move," Ino smiled sweetly at them.
Gaara kissed the top of Sakura's head, "go have fun baby."
"I was having fun earlier," Sakura pouted.
"I'll make it up to you," he kissed her gently.
Sakura smiled against his lips, "I'll hold you to it." She let go off her and grabbed her shoes, slipping into them and faced the blonde, "let's go Ino." She grabbed her bag and made her way to the door, Ino following behind her.
"Next time, call and let me know you're coming," Sakura unlocked the car and got in.
"Then it wouldn't be a surprise," Ino got in.
Sakura shook her head and started the car and drove to the dress shop. They got out and walked in, they were greeted by a smiling assistant who showed them to the empty room. "We'll bring the dress over for you to try."
Ino turned to face Sakura and smiled wide, "I can't wait to see you in the dress."
"Yay," Sakura huffed out.
"Stop sulking that I ruined your fun," Ino chided.
"Whatever," Sakura sat back in the chair and rubbed at her bump.
Ten minutes later, the assistant was back with the dress, "here you are." She unzipped the bag and placed it in the changing room, "please try it on."
Sakura got out of the chair and walked into the room, and pulled the curtain around her. She shrugged out of her baggy shirt and leggings and carefully, slipped on the wedding dress. It was a white, simple dress. It had full sleeves, a plunged neckline and a medium slit on the left side. Sakura reached behind and pulled up the zip before opening the curtain and letting Ino look at her.
Ino squealed and clasped her hands across her mouth, "you look so beautiful."
Sakura couldn't help but smile wide at her best friend, "thank you."
"It's perfect, and it suits you amazing!" Ino stood up and walked over, "I know exactly what to do with your hair now."
Sakura smiled at her, "thank you, again."
"Well, at least you're thanking me now and not scowling because I interrupted sexy time."
Sakura rolled her eyes, "you are so annoying pig."
"Love you forehead."
The assistant came over and checked the fitting, making sure that Sakura was comfortable in the dress, that it wasn't too tight or loose around the bump. With the fitting over, Sakura carefully removed the dress and dressed in her leggings and shirt.
"Have you got shoes?" Ino asked as Sakura walked out of the changing room.
"No."
Ino shook her head, "see, this is why I came early. I should have come a week ago."
"I'm glad you didn't because then I would never get to spend time with Gaara." Sakura paid for the dress. With the bag in hand, they made their way to the car.
"You've got the rest of your lives to have sex, one day isn't much to go without," Ino pointed out as Sakura placed the dress bag in the back of her car carefully. "Let's go find you some shoes."
Sakura sighed out and followed after the blonde.
Several hours later and several shops later, Sakura had finally got a pair of simple silver sandals with a small heel and silver earrings.
"I've spoken to the local florist, and she is happy for me to come in and arrange some flowers for you," Ino said as they made their way back to the car.
"When did you do that?"
"I called her up a few days ago," Ino smiled, "I want this to be a perfect day for you and Gaara."
Sakura smiled, "thanks pig."
"So, I'm forgiven then?"
Sakura huffed out a laugh, "yes, you're forgiven."

The day was finally here. Sakura was sat in her room, nerves filling her. She stared at the dress bag that hung against the door, her lips pulling in a smile.
Ino walked in and folded her arms across her chest, "what are you doing sitting around, get dressed!"
Sakura shook her head and stood up. She unzipped the bag and took out the dress. With her robe off, Sakura slipped into the dress and Ino zipped her up.
"Sit down and I'll start on your hair and makeup," Ino ordered as she walked into her room and grabbed the makeup bag.
Two hours later, Sakura was finally ready. Her hair had been styled in a simple but elegant bun, with tendrils falling on either side of her face. Her makeup was simple, light pink lipstick, gold and brown eyeshadow, finished with black eyeliner and mascara.
"You look beautiful," Ino smiled wide and let Sakura look at her reflection.
Sakura beamed at her reflection, "thanks pig," she looked at Ino's reflection.
"Always forehead," Ino smiled back and moved out the way for Mebuki to have a look.
"You look amazing dear, but the dress is a little… simple."
Sakura shook her head, she grabbed the earrings and put them on before slipping into the shoes. "It's what I wanted," she looked at her mum and stood up.
"It's beautiful," Mebuki smiled at her.
They made their way downstairs, where Kizashi was waiting, dressed in a black suit. "My beautiful daughter," he smiled as tears filled his eyes.
"Dad, don't cry or you'll start me off," Sakura hugged him.
He kissed the top of her head and took her hand, "let's get you married."
Kizashi led Sakura to the car and helped her in, followed by Ino and Mebuki. They drove to the small venue where the wedding was being held.
As they made their way inside, they were greeted by their friends and family, all smiling and congratulating Sakura.
Gaara was stood at the front of the room with Kankuro by his side. He looked over to find Temari sat with a smile on her face. He was glad that she had finally come round to the idea of him and Sakura. Over the last five months, she had been a big support to them both, helping them with any planning and she was always buying them things for their baby. He smiled at her and turned and watched as Sakura walked towards him. She looked so beautiful and he couldn't believe that he was finally going to marry her, the woman of his dreams. He watched as she got closer and closer, his smile widening with each step she took.
"Look after my baby girl," Kizashi said as he placed her hand in Gaara's.
"Always," Gaara smiled at Kizashi, "with all my heart."
Chiyo cleared her throat and got everyone's attention. She smiled at the couple before looking at the small group of people.
"We are gathered here today to celebrate the union of Gaara and Sakura. And before I go on," she looked at everyone with a grin on her face, "does anybody here appose to these love birds getting married?"
When no one said anything, Chiyo looked at Sakura and Gaara, her grin widening. "Well, no one said anything, so you two are stuck with one another now!"
The small group laughed at her words.
"Gaara and Sakura, do you promise to look after one another, to always help one another and support one another, to love eternally?"
"I do," they said in unison.
"With the power in me, I pronounce you husband and doctor," Chiyo smiled wide at them, "you can now kiss one another, make sure it is just a kiss though."
Another round of laughter, followed by shouts of congratulations.
Gaara held Sakura close to him and kissed her gently, "I love you," he said against her lips.
"I love you too," Sakura smiled at him.

One year and three months later…
"Gaara, does this look alright?" Sakura asked as she moved away from the banner she'd hung up.
Gaara walked over with their son, Shinki, in his arms and looked at the banner, "what do you think Shinki, does it look good?" he asked.
Sakura smiled at them. She truly was happy, and Gaara was an amazing father. He loved their son unconditionally. She reached over and kissed Shinki on his cheek, "it has to be perfect for this little prince."
"Where is my gorgeous little nephew?" Temari walked over to them, "there he is," she cooed at him.
Shinki reached out his arms towards her, and Temari gladly took him from Gaara, and lavished him with kisses.
They were getting the house ready for Shinki's first birthday. The party was being held at the Sabaku family house, as was requested and demanded by Temari and Kankuro, who had already almost filled a corner with presents for the young Sabaku.
There was a knock on the door and Sakura opened it, greeting her mum and dad.
"Where is my grandson?" Mebuki walked in.
"Hi Sakura, how are you? How are you doing?" Sakura said, imitating her mother's voice.
Mebuki looked over at her, a pointed eyebrow raised, "I am here to see my grandson, I spoke to you last night."
Sakura laughed and shook her head, "and to think you would go mad at me for not calling every single day."
Mebuki ignored her and walked into the living room, towards Temari and Shinki.
Sakura turned to her dad, who was carrying four large bags, all brimming with wrapped presents, "dad… please tell me that is not all for Shinki?"
Kizashi smiled and walked in, closing the door behind him, "I could lie and say they aren't, but you know they are."
"You're going to spoil him!"
"That is our job as grandparents," he kissed her forehead. He handed over the large bags to Sakura and Gaara and walked into the living room to be with his grandson.
Sakura shook her head, "Shinki is being spoilt too much."
Gaara chuckled, "let him be, baby." He took bags and placed them next to the pile of presents.
Gaara and Sakura busied themselves getting the food ready and laying the table. With everything done and the guests arriving, Naruto, Hinata, Tsuande, Ino, Sai and many more, they watched as Shinki was lavished with love.
There was a knock on the door. Sakura looked at Gaara, "are we expecting anyone else?"
"I don't think so," Gaara walked to the door and opened it, finding Kankuro and their father, Rasa standing there.
"Dad… I thought you couldn't make it."
"And miss out on my grandson's first birthday, I don't think so." Rasa smiled at Gaara and walked in. He looked around the room and sighted the young Sabaku, watching him as he played with several of his toys.
Sakura smiled at Rasa and walked over, giving him a hug, "I'm so glad you could make it."
"I wouldn't miss it," Rasa returned the hug.
"Oh my god!" Temari shrieked.
They all looked over in alarm, worried that something bad had happened. But what greeted them was Shinki taking his first steps.
Rasa got on his knees and held out his hands. Shinki slowly walked over and wrapped his little arms around Rasa, "dada," he cooed at Rasa.
"That's right, dada is finally home. What have you been up to?"
Gaara smiled at the sight of his son in his father's arms, his eyes welling up.
Sakura looked at him and placed her arm around him, "are you okay?"
Gaara nodded and blinked away at the tears, "I am," he kissed the top of her head, "I have everything I could have ever asked for."
"Well…" Sakura said, a smile playing on her lips, "there is something else."
Gaara furrowed his brow slightly, "what?"
Sakura grinned at him and placed his hand on her stomach.
Gaara looked at her, his eyes widening, "really?"
Sakura nodded, her smile spreading, "six weeks."
Gaara pulled her into a tight hug, "I love you so much."
"I love you too," she hugged him back.
"Now I have everything I could ever ask for."
And here we are, at the end! It has taken me a long, long, LONG time to come up with an ending that I was happy with. Thanks to my bestie, who has listened to all my ideas, read each chapter and then read it all over again because I changed it and for keeping me encouraging me to carry on writing when I had many down days.
I really do hope that you all have enjoyed this story, as much as I have enjoyed writing it. I really do appreciate all the support I've had from you all. It helped encourage me to carry on with the story.
As always, love to you all!
