Welcome back, everyone! I present to you the eighth chapter of the story…and some important news. Sadly, I won't be able to update "Optipinkstic" for a while. It's not because of writer's block or loss of interest—I really have liked working on this fanfic, and I truly do want to finish it. But for an unknown amount of time, I feel like it's best if I take a break from it.

You know when you're trying to write a specific story, and then an idea for another story pops in there that takes up so much of your attention, you just can't seem to stop thinking about it to the point where you have a lot of trouble focusing on the task at hand? That's what's happening to me right now, and it's the reason why I'm faced with the difficult decision of taking a break from "Optipinkstic." There's just two other already-published stories that I've been working on while writing this one, and I don't want to get stressed out because I'm doing too much stuff at once. So, just until I publish and finish the new story idea I received, I'll have to pause the updates for the fanfic you're reading.

I'm really sorry it's come down to this, because I know how it feels to see a fanfic you've loved reading so much go on hiatus, even if it's just temporarily. I promise with all my heart that I'll come back to this story ASAP, and in the meantime, here's the next chapter, which I'm sure you've been waiting for after that REALLY serious cliffhanger. You can also feel free to leave some reviews as well, plus you can check out my Deviantart account, which includes drawings of Star Perfectionist, Starbug, Mosaicat, and the two alter egos Sabrina and Astra developed during their battle against Vivica, Queen Bee, and Lady Rancora. Just trying to make this hiatus thing as easy for you as possible :)

Chapter 8

Smooth floor. A soft whooshing sound. Some confusion as to what happened at first, which wore off a second after it started. Because she already knew what had happened, and none of it was pleasant. Those were the first things Sabrina became aware of before she realized she was no longer paralyzed. At least, her mind wasn't—her neck and everything below it still felt numb.

Was this how Queen Bee's victims always felt when the influence of her superpower wore off? No, that couldn't be right; from what she remembered, once people were un-paralyzed, every part of their bodies instantly regained the ability to move at the same time. Not at all what was happening here, which meant Queen Bee's power hadn't worn off. Someone was using their own magic to slowly but surely overpower it. Sabrina was lying on the floor face-first, so she couldn't see who it was—but with Ladybug, Cat Noir, and three Star Darlings unconscious, it didn't take her long to figure it out.

The loyal Wishling lifted her head up from the floor as best as possible. "Adora?"

A familiar voice gasped in surprise, and the gentle noise Sabrina had been hearing stopped. "You…why…how do you…?"

"I know you and the others tried to erase my memories," Sabrina said, hoping to ease her friend's confusion as soon as possible. "Don't ask how. But when you did, it worked on Chloe, Hawk-Moth, Mayura, and everyone else. So only I still, you know…at least until a few seconds ago. If that's how much time passed after Chloe turned into Queen Bee and paralyzed me."

Adora gently rolled her over so she lay on her back, allowing her to relax her head muscles. Sabrina flinched (well, more or less, since she was still paralyzed from the waist down) as she locked eyes with the girl's Wishling form. "Please don't be mad."

"I'm not mad," said Adora, truthfully. "But Queen Bee paralyzing you? She…she didn't have anything to do with whatever happened to Sage, Scarlet, and Astra, did she?"

"Well, she wasn't the one who defeated them, but yeah. She was involved. Vivica and Lady Rancora too."

Adora went wide-eyed in surprise. "Lady Rancora? She came to Wishworld?"

"It's a long story," said Sabrina. "I'll tell you when we have more time—"

"Tell me now," instructed Adora. "Trust me. We've got all the time we need, and I'm not done healing you yet."

So, while Adora continued healing her, Sabrina took a deep breath and told Adora everything, making sure she left the parts about Libby and the reason why she still had her memories out of her explanation. How Vivica had suddenly turned up in her classroom as a peculiar new student, how she'd recognized her and become suspicious right away, how she'd figured out the silver-haired Starling was working with Lady Rancora and using Chloe to lure Ladybug and Cat Noir out of hiding, and then every event from tonight: the attack on the Miraculous Guardian, the plan to steal all the Miraculouses (particularly the Butterfly and Peacock), Vivica's outburst to Sage, Scarlet, and Astra about Sabrina still remembering them (which she'd tried to keep a secret "so she could help her friends more easily"), Nadja, Chloe, and the Miraculous heroes finding out about Starland, and finally, her and the Star Darlings' failed attempt to stop the villains, who were now allied with Queen Bee because she now knew Ladybug was really Marinette Dupain-Cheng, her sworn enemy.

"Moons and stars," whispered Adora when her companion was finished explaining everything. "No wonder my healing powers didn't work on them."

It was Sabrina's turn to go wide-eyed in surprise. "Wait…you tried to heal Scarlet, Marinette, and the others, and…nothing happened?"

"I can't heal all injuries, Sabrina. I can heal them if they're not too serious, but when there's too much negative energy in their bodies, only the Power Crystals can be of use. Which will really be a problem if Ladybug and Cat Noir were overpowered the same way my friends were, because they don't have Power Crystals like we do."

Sabrina sighed. "They were overpowered that way. But I promise, we'll think of a way to help them too." Adora then finished healing her, and she sat up. "Anyways…why didn't you come here with your friends?"

"I didn't think I'd need to," replied Adora. "None of us did, until Lady Stella saw their wish energy levels suddenly go empty. She originally sent Sage, Scarlet, and Astra to Wishworld so they could look for Vivica after she mysteriously disappeared from Starling Academy, but when their energy levels dropped faster than usual, she knew there had to be far more sinister elements to Vivica's absence than it seemed. So she sent me here to see what the problem was and report the information back to them."

"Then what?"

"I'm not sure. I don't think anyone expected Vivica and Lady Rancora to team up, even if they both dislike us. We all thought Vivica just went to Wishworld so she could skip class or something, but…stealing all the Miraculouses and teaming up with Rancora and Chloe Bourgeois? That's a lot."

"Yeah…but that's what happened." Sabrina gulped. "Think they'll find out about the alternate universe power Hawk-Moth was trying to gain?"

"Probably not," said Adora. "That was one detail I don't think we mentioned since we made it back to Starland, so they couldn't have learned about it from us. But in case they try to force more information out of the kwamis, we should be prepared for the worst."

Sabrina agreed, and Adora finished healing her, allowing her to sit up. Looking around, she could see Marinette, Adrien, Sage, Scarlet, and Astra were still unconscious on the floor. Adora had apparently moved their bodies closer together, likely so she'd be able to heal them all faster, but that didn't change the fact that they were still out. Wincing, Sabrina turned back towards her Starling friend. "Did you try waving food in front of their noses? I've heard that wakes people up when they're asleep sometimes."

"I didn't bring any food with me," said Adora. She then shrugged and admitted, "Although Tessa thought that might be a good idea, as always…"

"Yeah," chuckled Sabrina. "We all know how much she loves food. But I meant the macarons and Camembert cheese that Marinette and Adrien keep in their pockets. It's supposed to be for their kwamis, but they just might help in this case too."

Adora nodded. "You get out the food and see if it heals the Wishling superheroes. I'll look for the girls' Power Crystals. I checked, and they weren't in their pockets."

"I think I already see Sage's next to that wall," replied Sabrina, "and I know I saw Astra's go near the left side of the truss. But I don't know where Scarlet's is."

"It might be under the huge screen," Adora decided. She went towards the toppled green-screen and levitated it a little, while Sabrina came to Marinette and Adrien and pulled all the remaining food out of their pockets. Next, she held the food above their heads—first the macarons and then the more strongly-scented Camembert cheese—hoping their smell would flow into her classmates' systems and revive them. Yet much to her surprise, not even the most smelliest slice of Camembert managed to wake them up. Desperate, Sabrina moved the foods farther away from and closer to the duo's noses, but it was no use. No matter what strategies she tried, they just wouldn't respond!

"The food's not working," said Sabrina, once Adora walked away from the green-screen with Scarlet's Power Crystal (thank goodness she'd found it). "What else can we try?"

Adora went over and picked up Sage's Power Crystal. "I guess we'll have to bring them to Lady Stella. Only she's powerful enough to heal others without the help of a Power Crystal. She can also erase the memories of Wishlings and Starlings alike, and unlike us, she has control over which memories are erased, which ones aren't, and how many victims are affected by her memory-erasing spell." She shrugged. "At least, that's what Sage told me after Vivica saw her and some of the others containing a Bad Wish Orb. She tried to deal with it herself, but it infected her with negative energy. Then she saw them taking care of it, so Lady Stella had to heal her and erase her memories. She did it all at the same time just by touching Vivica's forehead!"

"Awesome!" Sabrina exclaimed. Then her smile disappeared. "But what if Lady Stella can't help them?"

"Then we'll think of something else," affirmed Adora, picking up Astra's Power Crystal. She then gave it and Scarlet's crystal to her Wishling companion and instructed, "Place each of these over their owners' chests. I'll help Sage."

"Got it," Sabrina said. While Adora went toward Sage and pressed the latter's Power Crystal against her chest, she did the same with Scarlet, Astra, and their crystals, then waited anxiously for something to happen. Luckily, something did happen: as soon as the crystals were placed, their respective owners—Sage included—became bathed in those same excessively bright purple, pink, and red glows. A second later, Sage, Scarlet, and Astra all awoke simultaneously with a wide-eyed gasp of surprise, and were then sent levitating several feet into the air for a moment, until they became aware of what was happening and deactivated their Power Crystals. Once the three Starlings were back to normal, Sabrina became so overjoyed that she couldn't resist running forward and squeezing them and Adora into one huge group hug. "YOU'RE OKAY!" she squealed. "I'M SO GLAD YOU'RE OKAY!"

"Me too, Sabrina," laughed Sage. She then noticed Adora and thanked her for coming, which she responded positively to.

"Okay, calm down," interrupted Scarlet, edging out of their embrace. "I'm glad we're okay too, but from what I can tell, the Miraculous superheroes aren't."

The girls agreed, and as they released each other, Sabrina told Sage, Scarlet, and Astra what they'd missed from the battle against the villains. When she was finished her explanation, Astra stepped forward courageously. "We've got to get to Starland," she declared. "First of all, because Ladybug and Cat Noir's, or should I say Marinette and Adrien's, lives depend on it. But also because we have to get those kwamis and their Miraculouses back from the villains! Ugh, I still can't believe Chloe's working with them even after the incident with her phone. Just when I thought she'd forgotten about turning Vega into a slave and everything, she had to find out about Starland all over again!"

"Can I go with you?" Sabrina asked. "I know Chloe more than you do, and who knows…maybe Libby and I can be Starbug and Mosaicat again! That worked out great last time…"

All four present Star Darlings exchanged nervous glances. "Um," gulped Sage, "actually, Sabrina…it might just be you as Mosaicat. Because Libby, uh…well, she…"

Sabrina's smile disappeared. "What? What's up with Libby?" Then all of a sudden, she gasped in realization. The last time she'd spoken with Libby, she'd said Clover, Sage, Leona, Scarlet, and Vega had tried to discourage her boys/pink/shoes/parties chatter habit by creating a song filled with recordings of her talking about her favourite subjects—which had left her too rattled to stand up for herself. Sabrina had assumed things had gotten better between Libby and her friends from home, but…had they actually gotten worse? She then remembered how Libby had planned on being one of the Star Darlings who would go to Wishworld to seek out Vivica and grew nervous. Suddenly, she wasn't so sure Lady Rancora was the reason why Libby had stayed on Starland anymore…

Scarlet saw Sabrina's expression and sighed knowingly. "It was Libby, wasn't it. She's the reason why your memories never got erased."

Sabrina nodded. "We just bonded so well," she admitted, "and in the end, neither of us wanted to lose each other. We're BFFs. Real BFFs…the kind Chloe and I could never be, as much as we tried. So when you cast the memory-erasing spell on Ladybug and everyone else in Paris, Libby found a way for me to still remember everything. Ever since then, we've been secretly visiting each other every night and having fun together."

Sage stared at the floor. "I can tell she told you about Clover's remix too."

Sabrina stared at the girls in disbelief. "Why would you do that to her? She was really hurt when you made her listen to that song. She was on the brink of crying when she told me about what she went through!"

"Brink? Oh please," said Scarlet.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

Astra swallowed hard. "Sabrina, Libby told us how she really felt about the remix. But before that, and after that…we were so upset with how she reacted to it last night that we tried to leave her out of it when we heard Lady Rancora was causing trouble near Starling Academy."

Sage nodded. "And that just made things even worse, and…and then she quit the Star Darlings altogether."

Sabrina gasped in shock. "You actually made her quit?! But her becoming an outcast was the one thing she didn't want to happen!"

"Yeah," said Adora. "Gemma got pretty steamed when it all came down to that. So did Lady Stella when she found out what was going on. She told us to make things right, but by then it was too late. Libby was so upset that she didn't want to forgive us…then again, it's not like we ever made forgiving us easy for her."

"I can't believe you made her that miserable," lamented Sabrina. "Even Vivica's never tried to force her not to talk about pink, boys, or parties! I mean, as far as I know…"

"No, you're right about that," said Sage. "Vivica may have called Libby a Star Dipper and said her band would beat ours so many times, but she's never said anything about her chatter about boys or pink or…you know." She then realized what she said and groaned in remorse. "Libby was right. We acted worse than Vivica and the Visionaries put together."

"The Visionaries?" Sabrina asked.

"Vivica and the Visionaries," said Adora. "It's Vivica's name for her band. They're all just as mean as she is." She did a face palm. "How did we get so focused on breaking Libby's habit that we forgot about her good qualities?"

"We just got so carried away with how annoyed we were about her chatter about her favourite topics," mumbled Scarlet. "I'm still annoyed with it now by the way…but it's not worth losing her as a friend. Like Lady Stella said. She's a Star Darling for a reason. Besides, Libby was one of the first real friends I had since coming to Starling Academy, and I met her as a third year student. Not a first year, a third year. That's a long way to go without friends. No one would know that better than me."

Astra agreed. "She did always come to my starball games. And those mean the world to me!"

"And she cheered me up after my Wish Mission," added Sage. "It was a success, but the staff at Starling Academy wouldn't let me forget that it almost wasn't, since I had the wrong Wisher at first. One of the teachers brought that up during our next SD class, and Libby reminded everyone of how hard I worked to make me feel better. And she didn't have to do that, especially since she wasn't on Wishworld to see how my mission went. But she did it anyway, in the sweetest way possible."

"And this is what we did in return," said Adora, sparkly cyan tears brimming in her eyes. "Exclude her from a very important mission, force her to stop doing something she loves…starf, even the way we apologized to her was wrong!" She then looked away in embarrassment as her tears ran down her cheeks.

Sabrina gazed at each of the Starlings' expressions in sympathy. She and the rest of the girls were all aware Adora had a powerful sensitive side underneath her observant and focused personality, but it always took something huge to activate it—like finally realizing how awful Libby's current dilemma really was. As for Sage, Scarlet, and Astra, they weren't in tears like she was, but the loyal Wishling could see in their eyes that they were all feeling just as guilty as their teammate. Which, considering their strong personalities, was a very extraordinary sight. Clearly, all four Starlings were now seeing that the way they'd treated Libby had been more wrong than anyone would ever know. Too bad she wasn't here to see this…

Adora wiped away her tears and turned to face her teammates. "Girls, we have to make things right with Libby. I don't know how we're going to do it after that selfish apology, but…we have to…"

"We will," reassured Sage. "But first we need to get back to Starland, and most of us will have to share our shooting stars with a Wishling."

Sabrina smiled excitedly. "So I can come?"

"Well, you helped us last time, and that went starmendously amazing," said Astra. She then turned toward her teammates. "Alright, who's gonna take Sabrina? And who's gonna take the superheroes?"

"I'll take Marinette," said Scarlet.

"I've got Sabrina," decided Sage.

"Then I'll take Adrien," concluded Adora.

"Okay then," declared Astra, "let's do this! To Starland!"

And with that, Sage, Scarlet, and Astra transformed back into their Wishling forms. Then, with Adora and Scarlet carrying Adrien and Marinette over their shoulders, Sabrina led everyone through the hallway and into the elevator. As they stepped into the lobby, however, the girls froze in surprise. They'd each encountered the same receptionist when they'd first entered the TVi studio, and on each encounter, nothing had been out of the ordinary. Yet now something wasn't right: the receptionist, a blonde woman with her hair tied up in a small bun and a feminine light pink suit who had initially behaved kindly and professionally, was now dancing all over the lobby, in an outfit that, while still pink, looked much too stylish and radiant to be normal. Her hair was now worn loosely, and it had become a blinding shade of neon pink. Even her skin and every area of her eyes had turned different shades of pink.

"Uh, ma'am?" Sabrina asked, motioning for the Star Darlings to stand back. "Is everything okay?"

The receptionist turned to face the girls. She didn't stop dancing, but there was a panicked look on her face—like her body was celebrating something but she herself would rather not rejoice. She opened her mouth to reply to Sabrina's question, but all that came out was "Pink boy a party shoe party! Boy pink boy boy pink party pink boys, pink, shoes and parties!"

Sage, who had the power to read people's minds, translated the woman's message. "She means there's been an akuma attack, and now all she can think about are boys, pink, shoes, and parties."

Sabrina gulped in fear. "I think I already know who's been akumatized."

"We all do," said Astra, who, along with her teammates, looked even more nervous. "There's only one person who'd want her victims to be that focused on those particular topics."

"Speaking of," whispered Scarlet, pointing to the ceiling. Sage, Astra, Adora, and Sabrina looked up and gasped. Slowly but surely, the originally bluish-grey ceiling was beginning to turn bright pink. Once the transformation was complete, it spread to the walls, the floor, and the elevator, until wherever the girls looked, all they could see was pink. The only things in the lobby that weren't pink were Sabrina, Marinette, Adrien, and the Star Darlings themselves, which was a surprise, but also a relief.

"We should go outside and see how bad it is out there," said Adora. Her friends nodded and left the building, where they gasped again. The sky, the outsides and insides of the buildings, the roads, the sidewalk, the signs, the bus stops, the people, the advertisements starring Adrien, the vehicles, even the moon and the stars…everything in sight was pink! The rest of Libby's interests were more noticeable too; everyone's shoes were more bright and sparkly, people were dancing, celebrating, and decorating the streets to host parties against their will, and the male Wishlings that passed by now had a strange, striking resemblance to Ganymede—Sabrina and Sage could tell, since Libby had shown them his picture.

"Oh…my…stars…" Sage murmured.

Astra clapped sarcastically. "Thanks for all the pink, Libby! Really enjoying it. Can't wait to see what Starland's going through!"

"Why star greetings, Astra. But I think I'd better tell you that my name's not Libby anymore," a loud, mocking voice suddenly boomed from the sky. A voice that made Sabrina and her friends jump in fear, for they all recognized it as Libby's.

Scarlet groaned as the Wishlings stopped what they were doing and stared at the sky, as though in a trance. "Freaking fireballs! She can hear what we're saying?"

"Yes, dear friends," said Libby's voice, "I can. And I'd appreciate it if you called me Optipinkstic from now on. TAKE THAT!" Pink stardust then fell from the sky and rained down on Astra, causing her to scream and collapse on the pavement. When she got back up, her face, eyes, hair, and clothes all suddenly turned pink as well, and like the TVi Studio receptionist, she was now only capable of saying "pink," "boys," "shoes," and "parties," in both the plural and singular tense.

"There you go, Astra," Libby's (or Optipinkstic's) voice said smugly. "Now if you'll excuse me, I have to help my real friends take over Starland." Everything went quiet, and then the nearby Wishlings resumed what they were doing before they'd heard that loud voice from up in the sky.

Sage led her friends back inside the studio and closed the doors. Adora quickly used her powers to heal Astra, which thankfully worked this time. The red Starling then turned toward her friends and asked, "So…now what?"

"We need to find some way to get to Lady Stella without Libby, or Optipinkstic, sensing that's what we're doing," said Sage. "If she can hear and control everything that's happening on Wishworld, then it probably isn't any better for Starland."

"But how are we supposed to do that?" Sabrina asked. "It might work if we turned invisible, but Cassie's the only one who can do that."

Scarlet narrowed her eyes. "See? I told you we should have brought Cassie with us!"

"It's too late now, Scarlet," Adora told her. "We'll just have to persevere without her."

Scarlet groaned and clenched her teeth, but didn't say anything. The rest of the girls including Sabrina thought hard, trying to think of a plan that would work, yet without the help of Cassie or any of the absent Star Darlings. How could they get to Starland without Optipinkstic ambushing them?

Suddenly Sabrina clapped her hands together excitedly. "I know! We can use something, or someone, to distract Optipinkstic while we all go stop her! But it has to be someone who, despite what's happening to Paris, has what it takes to stay upbeat, happy, and positive on her own free will. Someone who shares at least some of Libby's interests."

Astra scoffed. "As if someone like that will be easy to find."

"Well, luckily, someone like that is easy to find," affirmed Sabrina, pulling her phone out from her pocket. She then turned it on, tapped the screen a few times, and held the device to her ear. There was a pause, and then Sabrina said, "Hi, it's me, Sabrina. Um…you didn't happen to be affected by the spell that makes everyone only able to say four specific words, were you?…Oh, goodie! Guess that spell can only do so much when people are indoors….Yeah, that's great! But um, the real reason I'm calling you is actually because I need your help. I have a plan to stop Optipinkstic, but first I'll need you to come to the TVi Studio so I can explain a few things. Just so you won't be confused by too many parts of the plan….You will? Great! Okay, see you soon! And tell Juleka that I still really appreciate her bringing me here earlier if you get a chance. You don't have to do it now, but, you know…see ya!"

As Sabrina hung up, the Star Darlings looked at her in wonder. "Who did you call?" Sage asked.

Sabrina smiled. "Let's just say…an old friend of Vega's who had her memories erased. And a current friend of mine."

Scarlet didn't look convinced. "What did you mean by 'explain a few things just so you won't be confused by too many parts of the plan?'"

"I meant that for her to have a better understanding on what Optipinkstic shouted and what we need her to do, we'll have to tell her about Starland. You can erase her memories later."

"Alright," said the fuchsia Starling. "Just because, like last time, her memories of us won't last." However, Sabrina detected a hint of sadness in Scarlet's voice and suddenly realized her teammates looked a little sad as well.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing," Sage quickly said, although the look in her eyes told her otherwise. Then Sabrina understood—when the time came for Rose, Chloe, and everyone else's memories to be erased, hers would have to be erased as well. None of the Star Darlings wanted that to be true; they all considered Sabrina a wonderful friend just like Libby did, and it was good to know she'd once again be able to help them save one of their own because she still remembered their friendship. But Lady Stella had asked them to erase every Wishling's memories of them back on the week when Vega had been akumatized, specifically including Sabrina's. As painful as it was, they couldn't disobey the orders of Starling Academy's headmistress, who only wanted what was best for their planet.

Sabrina sighed, put away her phone, and edged a little closer to Scarlet, who startled her by taking her hand in hers and squeezing it affectionately. She then heard Adora starting to cry again, and Astra comforted her while Sage walked over and held Sabrina's other hand. The girls were plunged into a moment of silence after that, continuously glancing at each other but remaining unable to say anything. Yet they all knew they were thinking exactly the same thing: none of the Star Darlings wanted Sabrina to lose her memories of them. Even if Lady Stella did.

When the girl Sabrina had in mind arrived at the studio, the Star Darlings instantly knew she was the right person for the job. Cheerful and loyal, an obvious original fondness for the colour pink, even a love for writing and performing songs in Kitty Section, a band that Vega had seen perform many times during her recent 7-day vacation on Wishworld—yes, this chosen friend was none other than Sabrina's classmate, Rose Lavillant.

Once her classmate arrived, Sabrina didn't miss a beat. "Rose," she said, "I'd like you to meet Scarlet, Sage, Adora, and Astra."

"Nice to meet you all," said Rose, shaking hands with Sage, Astra, and Adora, but just waving to Scarlet after the latter made it clear that she didn't want a handshake. The Wishling in pink then gasped in horror. "Marinette! Adrien! What happened to them?"

"Knocked unconscious," Adora quickly said. She didn't want Rose to have to feel concerned about Lady Rancora and Vivica when she already had Optipinkstic to worry about. "But we know someone who can heal them in the place we'll be going, so they'll be okay."

"Oh," replied Rose, relaxing a little. Then, turning back to Sabrina, she asked, "So…do these girls know the person who got akumatized and…pinkified Paris?"

"Well…yes, but there's a lot more to the story than that," explained Sabrina. "And I think you should know about those extra details, because they'll explain why you'll be seeing a group of shooting stars heading for outer space. And that's how you'll know when Optipinkstic won't need to be distracted anymore—when the shooting stars arrive in space."

Rose nodded, eager but a little confused. "So, you just want me to distract the villain until…some shooting stars leave the atmosphere?"

"Trust us, you're the only one who can do it," insisted Astra. "It'll work without anyone getting hurt if it's done by someone who likes what she likes, and Sabrina says you're the only one who matches that description."

"Okay," replied Rose. She smiled. "What do I need to know?"

Sage came forward and then told Rose about Starland, the Star Darlings, how Sabrina found out about them, and most importantly, her team's falling-out with Libby and the villains' plan to steal the Miraculouses. "You can't tell anyone about what we just told you though," the Starling warned. "Wishlings aren't supposed to know about Starland."

"Don't worry," promised Rose, winking. "I know how to keep a secret, especially if it's a really big one like this."

"Good," said Adora. "Now how do you think the diversion should go?"

Rose smiled. "Does Libby like rock n roll music?"

"I guess…as long as whatever you're going to sing sounds nothing like Clover's remix," Scarlet answered.

"Don't worry," Rose reassured her, "it won't. I'll make sure it not only discusses Libby's interests, but also respects them. But I'm afraid I'll need a few minutes to actually get the song written, not to mention bring my band together so we can perform it…"

"It's okay," said Sabrina. "Take all the time you need."

"Thanks," said Rose. She then pulled out her phone and sent a message to the other members of Kitty Section—Juleka, her brother Luka, and their friends Adrien and Ivan—telling them about the rescue plan without mentioning anything about Starland (she said she would simply tell them when their diversion was no longer needed). Luckily, all of the band members (who had thankfully taken shelter when Optipinkstic cast her spell on Paris, which meant they were unaffected by her magic, at least for the moment) wrote back within a few starsecs, agreeing to meet up with her outside the TVi Studio with their instruments.

As Rose put away her phone, Sabrina smiled at the present Star Darlings. "You'll love Kitty Section," she told them. "Their songs are just so awesome…I feel bad Vega's the only one in your team that's ever heard their music."

"Well, that's about to change," chuckled Sage. "And who knows…maybe I'll record their music on my Star Zap while we sneak back to Starland."

Astra shrugged. "As long as it doesn't distract you too."

"It won't," said Sage, and everyone laughed.

And that's that. Once again, I'm very sorry about this story going on hiatus. I know that kind of thing can be a real bummer, but mark my words; sooner or later, "Optipinkstic" will be updated again. It'll just take time. While you wait, as I said earlier, please feel free to leave a review if you'd like. You can also check out my stuff on Deviantart, and if you want to, the other fanfics I've published on this site.

See you when I'm ready to submit this story's next chapter…
